Because you can buy this from Atari themselves for much less Atari 40Th Anniversary Flashback 8 Gold Deluxe HD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DY4GQZN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jkB4DbGC8ND0Q

I downloaded the file and looked at how much I'd charge for it, and you probably don't want to pay that much. This comes to $19.90 + shipping (usually like $5 in the US). Seems kind of pricy when you can probably go buy a commercial product for $15-20. Then again, is something like this available?

Edit: here's a similar one on Amazon that also charges your Joy Con. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07MXDZHVZ

While I wouldn't mind printing this for myself as it would be MUCH cheaper, that isn't the case when buying from someone who prints it for you. I don't consider wear and tear on my machine, maintenance, and setup/breakdown time when printing for myself. I do when printing a commission. Something else to consider is that those strap clips are very thin, and prone to breaking if not handled gently.

Are you talking about the light that you plugged into the link port and it was flexible... And it was purple IIRC. There was also this lense thing you could slide over the top of the brick Gameboy that had a light.

Edit: This and this.

It seems OP is playing the original Gen I games, and not the re-released ones.

Not sure if this was a Europe only thing or not, but I used to have a Light Boy back in the day.

It came with its own batteries and illuminated the entire screen without problems. The magnifying glass was pretty cool too, I’d sometimes use it during daytime as well.

They don't, well they did for the gameboy. http://www.amazon.com/Game-Boy-Printer/dp/B00004W4EC

I believe pink guy was gonna be a think but was changed before release.

I know this is right on the money at 24.99 but the Beboncool Bluetooth controller is decent, I think the only problem I've seen out of it is the dpad being a little unresponsive.

I'm on mobile so I hope this link works but here it is on Amazon:

I had one too:

Handy Boy

Turned your brick into an even BIGGER wrist breaking brick! Loved it!

I spent a lot of time looking for a case a few weeks ago and went with this one. It is super minimal and great for putting in a bag. I usually don't carry more than the switch and a charger but if you carry extra Joy cons then you might want a bigger one. Also, I'm pretty sure this is the exact same case as the Tomtoc but cheaper.

I was thinking something along these lines where there is a seam /spine on the side and you slide in a bigger controller module over the built in one . wiring up a USB gamepad to that setup isn't particularly hard and needs only basic soldering skill . the hardest part I think is making sure the cases fit on each other . I think something similar was done to the GB in the form of a speaker / screen magnifier .

I don't think it's a terribly ambitious project.

u/Spacemonkie4207 · 2 pointsr/AndroidGaming

Check Amazon. I bought the Moga power for$25 Canadian. There is also the ps3/360 gamepad options (even cheap third party)

I've heard good things about this one:

BEBONCOOL Wireless Bluetooth Game Controller with Clip for Android Phone/Tablet/TV Box/Samsung Gear VR/Emulator (Blue) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B019Q3PMSQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Kt0FybSN47SGV

Or funny to think how if you got just two large modern games with all DLC, say something like Battlefield 4, and Grand Theft Auto V you've just used up just as much space as all of those thousands of games on every game console and handheld released before the PS1, Neo Geo, PS2, GameCube, and Xbox.

Also funny to think that with a 200GB microSDXC card you can fit the entire library of thousands of games on the NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC, GBA, Sega SMS, Genesis, and Game Gear libraries in a portable device that fits in your pocket that lasts for hours...with room to spare....for about $135.

...

$114.99 - Sandisk 200 GB microSDXC Card

$19.99 - BEBONCOOL Wireless Bluetooth Control for Android (I love this one because it fits in my pocket when not in use)

...

I bought those just recently, still waiting for them in the mail. Who needs a 3DS! I can't wait until I can fit the GameCube & PS1 libraries on my phone. Maybe I can do a dropbox thing...are there any good emulators for mobile for them?

u/pfarly · 2 pointsr/EmulationOnAndroid

You should look into controllers with a built in clip like this one. Telescopic controllers just aren't going to work with the N10+.

It was cheap, had a way to hold my phone and when I got it it was built fine and looked okay. But the buttons just didn't work. The left joystick hit right, up, and down in that order no matter which direction you moved it, and none of the other buttons worked.

It's my fault for not shopping around more before buying.

u/therealjoemontana · 2 pointsr/EmulationOnAndroid

The beboncool controller I just got works great, has 4 triggers, 4 action buttons, two joysticks with click buttons, d pad, select and start buttons and is nice and slim for traveling.

Its pocketable and it holds my phone well while I play.

90s kids will remember trying to play at night with this bad boy on their old brick Gameboy.

I believe the border you need is this: http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Lens-Screen-Game-Boy-Pocket/dp/B000NQB3NO

I think the border is attached to the back of the front screen plastic.

u/fallenpenguin · 2 pointsr/gaming

You might want to get something like this and this. Remove the glue residue first, obviously...

Actually, there *are* third-party joy-cons out there. Click

OP, there are a lot of solid third-party pro-style controllers out there. I have three of them and they're all really good(and affordable!) Links are below.

This one has NFC

This one is super versatile and has that whole "modern retro" thing going on

My fave as far as aesthetics are concerned

This is a PC controller but it works with Switch if you turn on the "pro controller wired communication" setting

u/MAGAManLegends3 · 1 pointr/KidsAreFuckingStupid

Uhhhh, Game boys had all that stuff too.... Just in janky 5 coloured pixels aside from the later GBA Internet

Nintendo was always trying out weird shit before it was cool.... Or feasible. LoL Virtual Boy. Their VR was so bad it actually killed the poor guy that designed it! RIP Gunpei Yokoi! Even had a pseudo wi-fi where game boy colors within 5ish miles of each other could find one another with an attachment. Later, it could connect to SNES systems using Xband and SatellaView too! There was even a special Zelda cart (BS Zelda, or broadcast satellite) put out that was like their first half assed attempt at an MMO (basically plays like Four Swords, if it lagged horribly) Had to feel bad for them sometimes, they'd launch something that failed spectacularly only for someone else to make a billion dollars off a near similar idea 5 years later. (In this case, two someone elses, Cold Tea with Fantasy Online and Toonslab with Graal Online, which had quite literally ripped off a ton of their sprites from both NES and SNES versions. They both moved their HQs to China so as to avoid prosecution. Fucking ouch, man!)

Hmm, My file appears to be correct at like 1.27 gigs but still no luck. I have a controller synced that allows me to mouse around. Not sure if that means It'll work if I ever get a game running. It's this one. Got it for $8 and some change during a flash sale a few weeks ago. It has a three positioned switch on it that lets you use it as a mouse. Solid build factor as well.

Dude. Gameboy Pocket (1) (2). Runs on 2 AAA batteres. It's beautiful. I used to play Zelda: A Link to the Past and Pokemon Yellow on it religiously, until it mysteriously vanished :/

Did an internal battery die, or something inside get fried or what? Is there nothing you can do to revive it?

Nintendo created a handheld similar in size to the Game Boy Pocket... with a backlight. Called it Game Boy Light. Unfortunately, it was only released in Japan. They're the rarest of the Game Boys, seeing as how only ~12,000 were made. Found one when I was in high school. Co-worker said he had one so I bought it from him. Still works!

Here it is on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Game-Boy-Light-Japanese-Video-System/dp/B003XGYZHW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1318636941&sr=8-1

You may or may not use this, but it's fairly easy to interface an arduino with a Gameboy Thermal Printer, which can be had online for $10-20. http://www.amazon.com/Game-Boy-Printer/dp/B00004W4EC

Great solution if you anticipate any need to print, as it's super cheap and portable (battery powered).
