No chocolate at all, all cocoa powder for the color. High quality cocoa is key. (I use bensorp, but valhrona/scharfenberger...whatever will be great) Start by blooming your sheet gelatin (take the sheets and submerge in a bowl of ice water). Boil water, sugar, cocoa and heavy cream, while whisking. Don't stop whisking, you'll burn the bottom of the pot. This will easily boil over if not watched. Boil for 2 minutes. Take off the heat, run it through a strainer if you have one and cool down to about 150 degrees. Then remove your gelatin from the ice water, give it a squeeze to get rid of all excess water and add your gelatin to the hot mix and mix it in with a spatula (don't want to whisk at this point and add air bubbles thats your glaze enemy right now) You want to use this glaze at 85-90 degrees, make sure whatever you are glazing is very well refrigerated/completely frozen otherwise you will melt the base during the glaze. (glazing bare cake will not work it will seep into the pores of the cake, you want to glaze mousses or buttercream covers only) Glaze on a glazing screen onto parchment, and then reuse the glaze for other stuff.

Water - 12 oz

Granulated Sugar - 1 lb

Cocoa Powder - 5.25 oz

Heavy Cream - 9 oz

Gelatin Leaves - 9 sheets

(gelita sheets are great, I use gelita silver sheets. These look good though for you home bakers so you don't have a million sheets extra https://www.amazon.com/PerfectaGel-Silver-Gelatin-Sheets-Bloom/dp/B009GJXSMS/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=sheet+gelatin&qid=1570448090&sr=8-7).

Powdered gelatin is what the name suggests 😅, the brand that i use is knox Knox Original Unflavored Gelatine Dessert Mix (32 Packets) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Y3HM5C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8mgDDbXH73PA8

I really would suggest to use a frozen cake because the glaze is warm-ish when you pour it and if you use just a refrigerated cake there's a huge chance of it melting with the glaze. 😊

Silly Europeans and your metric system.

First, take 4 eggs and (2/3 and 1/4 cup) of sugar. Beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy.

Strain(sift?) (little less than half a cup) of wheat flour, ( ~ 2 cups )potato flour(2.5 cups flour total), ½ spoon(I'm guessing teaspoon?) of baking powder and stir/mix until even.

Put baking paper on a tray and spread the dough evenly. Place in the oven pre-heated to 350 F for about 15 minutes. Watch the dough, it's ready when it becomes golden colored.

Once ready, get it out and flip it upside-down onto a new tray that has sugar spread on it. Remove the baking paper immediately, if it's stuck to the dough, use a wet cloth to dampen the paper before removing.

Take a springform cake pan (cake pan with a removable bottom) link, place baking paper at the bottom, shut the cake pan. Use the pan to cut the circle shape from the dough to be the bottom layer of the cake. SAVE THE REMAINING DOUGH!

Make some dampening liquid. half a cup of milk, ¼ tsp vanilla sugar and approx. 1 tsp sugar. Dampen the dough you just placed in the pan.

Take approx. 1½ bananas, cut up into pieces, place them on the bottom.(of the pan?)

Take (2/3 and 1/4 cup) of curd(I'm thinking the closest is cottage cheese, but I can't imagine that in a cake. So I'm gonna say use cream cheese, one to two packages) and ~5.2 oz of white chocolateThats about one whole package of this. Melt the white chocolate and mix it with the curd. Add 3 tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla sugar.

Take 3-4 discs of gelatin and put them in cold water. (you can probably subsitute one or two packages of flavorless gelatin powdered packages

As the gelatin is in the water, beat some whipping cream.

Take the gelatin discs into a cup and put them into a microwave for 20-30 seconds. Pour it into the curd-chocolate mix and stir it well. Afterwards add the whipped cream and mix it until it's a uniform mass. Spread it evenly on top of the bananas.

Use the dampening liquid on the dough pieces left behind (on one side only!). Place them on top of the curd-chocolate-gelatin-cream layer with the damp side pressing into the layer and use the dampening liquid again on the top side.

Afterwards, put a mix of frozen berries on the top layer (make sure they're totally frozen).

Boil either 2 cups of water with juice concentrate (blueberry concentrate works awesomely) or two cups juice. Once it's at a simmer, pour (2/3 and 1/4 cup) of jelly sugar (to make Jello) and stir(Get a package of jello, mix it up and pour it on top of the fruit). Once it starts to boil, take it off the stove. Let it cool down a little and using a tablespoon or something similar, slowly pour the soon-to-be-Jello liquid onto the frozen berries to finish the final layer of the cake.

Place it in a cool place (outside/in the entrance hallway if you're in Scandinavia, refrigerator if you're in a warm place) overnight and it'll be ready in the morning.

Use a knife to cut away the sides from being attached to the cake pan before removing. Use extreme caution when removing the cake from the pan.

Helpful?

That's flavored gelatin that you prepare by adding water and chilling and eat as a dessert (sometimes it's used in a recipe, but its main purpose isn't for use in a recipe). Modern Jello and similar brands still come in a 3-ounce box.

Unless the OP's recipe is something that one would expect might contain flavored gelatin, I think they're more likely to be looking for unflavored granulated gelatin meant to be used in recipes. In my experience, this form of gelatin comes packaged like this and comes in 0.25-ounce packets, and you would typically only use one or two packets in a recipe. So, I think they're asking if this kind of gelatin used to come in some form of box.

I have seen recipes for things like poke cakes that call for flavored gelatin, though (you bake a cake, make holes in it with a skewer, mix Jello powder with water, pour over cake, chill, and you have Jello-impregnated cake, which apparently some people enjoy).

OP, what sort of recipe is it?

u/vickasaurusrex · 11 pointsr/food

Sure thing. It was surprisingly easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of blue-colored Jello

  • 1 packet of red-colored Jello

  • 2 small packets of Knox unflavored gelatin

  • 1 cup of clear, chilled alcohol

  • a 9x9 inch baking pan

  • a cookie sheet

  • parchment paper

  • a lot of patience :)

    Prep:

  1. Prepare red-colored Jello according to the instructions on the package. (Add the powdered contents to one cup of boiling hot water. Stir well. Then add one cup of very cold water.) Pour the final mixture into the bottom of your 9x9 inch pan. Set it for 3-4 hours in the fridge, or ~1 hours in the freezer.

  2. Once the first layer solidifies, prepare the middle layer. Add two packages of Knox unflavored gelatin to 1 cup of chilled alcohol. Stir well. Combine this solution with one cup of boiling hot water. It is important that you do it in this order, or else the gelatin will coagulate in the heat, and never separate!

One your mixture cools to room temperature, carefully pour it over the first layer of Jello. Return the pan to the refrigerator/freezer to set.

  3. Prepare the last package of blue-colored Jello as described in step (1). Once this mixture cools to room temp, pour it over the other two layers, and place it back in the fridge to firm up.

  4. When you think that all three layers have set, the fun can begin.

Cut some parchment paper to line the bottom of a cookie sheet. Flip the cookie sheet over, and place it over the 9x9 inch pan (so that the side with the parchment paper touches the rim of the pan). Turn both the cookie sheet AND the pan upside down. Your jello creation should pop right out! Your cookie sheet will catch it.

  5. Cut up the jiggling mass into small serving sizes (~1x1 inch). Arrange the individual squares neatly on the cookie sheet. The colors show up really well against the white parchment paper!

And there you have it - your very own dish of July 4th jigglers :)

I'm glad you've spoken with your doctor about it. I found this article, but it seems to suggest all the stuff you've tried. I'm glad you've found that eating more meat helps.

You might try supplementing your diet with gelatin AND collagen may help (use both together). I like to add both powders to a daily smoothie with breakfast. That might allow you to eat some meat, while not feeling overwhelmed.

Also: does anyone else in your family have this? Apparently it can be a genetic condition.

For me (I have nails that split, but I don't have the issue of the free edge growing downward), using Nailtiques Formula 2 only on my nails (no color polish) for at least 6 weeks, and using their nail polish remover. After removing the nail protein, I wash my hands and make sure the nails get some water, then let them dry before filing and putting on fresh nail protein. Some people say letting nails get water, then using a nail protein, and using cuticle oil as a treatment regimen helps nails.

u/flaminglasrswrd · 8 pointsr/Supplements

I guess the brand Jello doesn't make an unflavored version, but Knox does.

I'm saying there isn't any difference between unflavored gelatin dessert and any supplement made from hydrolyzed collagen or the like. Except that jello is sold as a food product and more strictly regulated and cheaper.

Gelatin a good source of protein. Well tolerated and bioavailable. It is particularly high in glycine and proline, but lacks tryptophan and is low in isoleucine, threonine, and methionine.

Get a mortar & pestle and gel caps. Grind super fine, and pack them super tight by tamping it down. I use 00 caps and 1 or 2 is enough to stay good for a few hours.

EDIT: You can use smaller caps, like '0' for a smaller dose. What I use, for the lazy:

I have no idea how much spirulina costs, maybe it's not even worth bothering with. But, if you don't feel like tossing out what you already have, Amazon sells empty gelatin capsules, and I'm sure pharmacies and health food stores have them also. You could always fill them yourself if you didn't feel like flushing the money you already spent on the powder :)

u/mcrkid · 7 pointsr/Supplements

Another vote for gelatin and subsequently collagen.

Great Lakes - Collagen/Gelatin here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Great-Lakes-Unflavored-Gelatin-Kosher/dp/B0008D6WBA/ref=pd_sim_0_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0WJG67HCHTYK5P44570E

Heat 300g of frozen raspberries in lemon juice. Blend/process with 7 tablespoons of the gelatin. It takes your body a good while to digest, I add seeds etc and it makes a great slow burning breakfast - it's pretty versatile.

You'll see a green tin floating around that amazon page too. That one is a little more expensive but it dissolves nicely in water; if you can't be bothered with cooking up batches of jelly.

I supplemented gelatin whilst recovering from a broken back and I attribute a sizeable amount of credit for my successful recovery to it. I continued with it after recovering from injury and it does wonders for my knees, post endurance cycling!

Does of course come in capsules - thought it'd be useful for you to know your options.

u/DBOPRO · 5 pointsr/PlantedTank

haha I'm flattered. You can pick up size 0 or 00 capsules from your local vitamin shop. Or online with ebay or Amazon. Searching "empty gel capsules" should get you what you want. Filling them is as easy as filling the capsules with your fert. People have been using Osmocote Flower & vegetable, since Osmocote plus was dis-continued. Others use Dynomite fert. YOu can even mix both and use them!

You have to order the boric acid and the capsules separately. I bought Humco boric acid and capsules like these-- definitely go for the vegetarian capsules, as they are less likely to irritate your vagina and will dissolve cleanly.

Okay, so a while ago I said I was going to make a gummy bear tutorial and I never did so I thought it was about time I at least made a write up for them. This recipe will get you right around 200 gummy bears.

Tools:

  • Small non stick pot with a lid
  • medium non stick pot
  • 60ml Syringe - Here
  • stiff silicone spatula - Here
  • 2 small pyrex dishes - Here
  • Candy theremometer - Here
  • Fork to stir with
  • Gummy bear molds (or any other you like) - Here I also just found these
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoon
  • Strainer - Here
  • Medium/large bowl
  • Partchment paper
  • A few large tupperware containers
  • Dram droppers for the flavorings - Here

    Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of Jello (85 grams if you have a scale) in the flavor of gummies you want
  • LorAnn oils concentrated flavorings - Here
  • LorAnns oils mold Inhibitor - Here
  • LorAnns oils Preserve-it Antioxidant - Here
  • 5 Tbsp plain gelatin powder - low quality / less chewie here High quality / more chewie here
  • 1 tsp of Soy lecthin powder - Here
  • 1/2 cup of Real Fruit juice of the flavor you want to make, get creative here, needs to be cold. Cold water can also be used but the flavor is not as good.
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • Glycerin - Here
  • 6 grams of Concentrates (AKA: BHO, Shatter, Wax, Oil, Hash oil, etc)
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut oil
  • Cornstartch

    Decarbing

Pre-heat your oven to 250F - 260F, use the digital theremometer to keep an eye on the temp to make sure it stays around there and does not get above 260F. I like to place my concentrates into the small pyrex dish and decarb in that. Put the dish with your concentrates in the oven for 30 minutes. You can check it around the 30 minute mark and see if it is fully decarbed. Look for it to be pretty clear of all little "carbination" like bubbles. When those are mostly gone you are done decarbing. It will take around 30 minutes. Go a little longer if you want couch lock / sleepy time gummies.

When it is done decarbing pull it out and set it to the side for a minute.

    Infusing the coconut oil

Grab your medium sized pot and put a few inches of water in it. get it to a boil then turn the temp all the way down to a very low heat. When the water is ready place your dish with the freshly decarbed oil into the water bath and add the 1 Tbsp of coconut oil to the dish.

Let the two mix for a few minutes until they are nicely combined. It shouldn't take long maybe 10 minutes max.

    Grease your molds

At this point if you dont have silicone molds (I do and I still grease mine for precautions) grease your molds so you don't forget to do it before adding your gummies.

    Preping fruit juice (or water)

In the second small pyrex dish pour your real fruit juice / water or whatever base liquid you are using for your gummies. I havent tried much besides fruit juice and water but you can experiment with other liquids, but don't do an experiment on a batch with THC in it just in case something doesn't work out.

To the fruit juice / water add 1 tsp of soy lecthin and stir with the fork. Place the dish in the fridge for 5 minutes or so and stir again. Let it sit in the fridge stirring occasionaly until the soy lecthin is fully desolved.

This liquid mixture NEEDS TO BE COLD for the blooming process to work so make sure to keep it cold.

    Mixing the dry ingredients

In your small non-stick pot mix the following together: 85 grams of Jello, 5 Tbsp of Gelatin, 1/4 cup of sugar. Completely mix them all together and dont let any of them get wet yet. Stir and stir until they are completely mixed.

    Blooming

Take your mixed dry ingredients and pour in your friut juice (water) soy lecthin mixture. Stir it and get everything evenly mixed and make sure there are no lumps. When everything is evenly mixed place the lid on the small pot and let it sit for 10 minutes.

This is called "blooming" the gelatin and allows the gelatin to absorbe the water. The water needs to be cold because gelatin activates at about 120F and after that will start to set when it cools. We don't want it setting right now.

I don't dig the artificial junk (no HFCS please!). You can make healthy jello with stevia, berries, and Great Lakes Unflavored Gelatin.
I also love to make cheesecake cupcakes! Heres the details:

  • 8oz cream cheese

  • 1/4c heavy cream

  • 1 egg

  • sweetner of choice (stevia is my favorite)

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Mix the cream cheese until it is soft. Then mix in the rest of the junk! You can pour this into cupcake or a cheesecake pan. Cook until a toothpick comes out clean.
I like to add lemon juice to the batter sometimes as well. I also blend a bunch of strawberries and blueberries with stevia and pour it on top of the cheesecake.

Also, make some fat bombs by blending coconut oil, coconut milk, stevia, and berries. Pour mixture into an ice cube tray and chill until it is set.

> I think typically you take flesh from the center of the cap of a mature fruit.

Pfft, being typical doesn't lead to advances in science! Drawing outside the lines does! Additionally, I would add that in most cases I've seen tissue be extracted from the tissue towards the stem of the fruit body, never have I heard of it being from the cap? In my experience, I've only extracted from the flesh of the stem.

I've got some clones of tissue too!!

I outlined contams in Red

That was taken from a wild 'chicken of the woods' specimen I found.

I like pins better! Much faster, less work on my part and I know that odds are in my favor that I will have a clean culture so long as I use peroxide.

My agar? Courtesy of the Shroomery I have always used the following recipe:

>Potato Dextrose (Yeast-extract) Agar (PD(Y)A)

>broth from boiling 150 grams sliced potatoes
in 500ml water for 30 minutes(add water to 500ml)
(You can use 5 g of instant potato flakes instead)

>9 g agar agar

>7 grams dextrose( = glucose, or 10 ml honey or corn syrup )

>1 gram brewers yeast or yeast-extract (optional)

I cut the ingredients in half.

I use 'Potato Buds' brand potato flakes aquired at Wal Mart for less than a dollar.

I use Agar-Agar powder, aquired from Amazon.

I use Dextrose, purchased from a reliable Shroomery vendor.

I do not use yeast.

I mix, then PC for 15-30 minutes.

Works just as good as the Petri Dishes I've purchased which came pre poured.

I can pour 20 dishes and still have LOADS left over.

Hope this helps!

EDIT:

If you're on the Shroomery, you've heard of 'RR'. The reason I even tried working with cloned pins, is because he suggests that pins are ideal candidates for cloning simply because they are 'younger' and therefore, faster stronger and more aggressive...making them ideal candidates for agar work because time is the enemy against contaminants, especially in an unsterile environment.

Yeah they’re called Gelatin Capsules . There are different sizes so you might want to look into that a bit. Also, it’s probably going to be a pain in the ass to fill them if you don’t have a tray for it. There are also small machines that’ll help you fill them on Amazon. Then you’re free to go.

Our local butcher does a 'Meat For A Week' pack for £15 (scroll down the linked page to see it). I get one of these every week.

Added to this are my regular staples (it should be noted - many other things are purchased for my non-keto partner):

At least one whole iceberg lettuce per day (for volume!)
Mackerel in brine
Anchovies in Olive Oil
Very light olive oil for cooking and mayo-making
Eggs
Coconut milk and creamed coconut, to make yoghurt and fat bombs with.
Gelatin, and Collagen from Great Lakes
Coffee
Stevia tabs
Whatever spices I fancy - usually Smoked Paprika and Cumin
EDIT: Almost forgot - this has become my new best friend! - Nutritional Yeast Seasoning

Not a massive list of inspiring food, I know! I do like to keep a simple routine - though I am experimenting with different stuff, this week I'm trying out home made jelly babies!

Well, although they got me a lot of karma, these were pretty awful.

Tried and true recipe? No, but it probably goes like this...

The simple, less nutritious way:

  1. Boil 1/2 cup of water.
  2. Stir in 3 Tbsp of whatever kind of Jell-o you want.
  3. Pour into mold.
  4. Refrigerate.

    Better, electrolyte-enhanced way:

  5. Boil water.
  6. Add in [Powerade Zero drops](http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00HZYEN1Q
    ).
  7. Stir in gelatin from grass-fed cows.
  8. Pour into mold.
  9. Refrigerate.

I haven't actually tried these, but they should work in theory. Amounts may vary. You get the gist.

ELI5 gelatin sheets...I have Great Lakes Gelatin at home. Using the conversion, I need to use 250 mL... Right? I want to make this for my husband's birthday next week! It looks delicious!

Edit: Fixed formatting

Edit 2: Did some googling and found this source. So I need to figure out the equivalent measurement of mine to make 250 mL set. According to amazon link (earlier) in the important information section, "one tablespoon gels one pint of liquid." Using google to convert mL to pints, it seems I need roughly half a pint; so I'll use half a tablespoon (1.5 tsp). Does that sound right?

If you do not have physical injuries* and are suffering from a degenerative or just wear and tear issue on your knees, you might try supplementing your diet with gelatin or collagen. It may take several weeks for a few months for you to convince yourself it's not some sort of placebo effect but it helped me with bad knees and back. If you think about it, it makes sense. Virtually nobody cooks like they did a couple of generations ago when we would boil bones to make soup and such.

I make a big container of Jello using 2 small boxes (sugarless) and then throw an extra tablespoon of either the stuff I linked above and make really dense jello that you can practically chew, or you can use the hydrolysate version which doesnt thicken and you can mix with anything, I add it to my coffee. Never know it's there. Hope this helps.

  • even if the root cause of your knee /joint pain is from being injured, give this a try. It's cheaper than a copay to see a doc and you might just be surprised. Give it a good month and see how you feel.
u/Boss_McAwesome · 2 pointsr/Homebrewing

Do you not have plain gelatin at the supermarket? Knox is the brand I see most often.

u/TheRainMonster · 2 pointsr/Paleo

I have bulletproof coffee with my breakfast, and don't use the branded ingredients, just regular coffee done with an aeropress, mixed with a spoonful of coconut oil, gelatin, and a bit of vanilla extract. The coffee doesn't upset my stomach and tastes fantastic, frothy and rich. I can't imagine not having at least a small bit of breakfast with it, though.

(I'm lactose intolerant so I don't add butter, sometimes black walnut bitters)

I havent tried any of the gel caps, gonna try it when I get my new box.
But from what i've heard most people prefer size 00 instead of 000 because the 000's can be a bit difficult to swallow.

Gelatin basically = jello. But maybe pork rinds work just as well?

You want clear plain Gelatin not jello

Freezer might be too much as well. You want it cold, but not so cold the water starts to freeze. Standard practice for a cold crash would be sub 40F deegres but not much past 32F

Ingredients

  1. Place gelatin in a small sauce pan.
  2. Pour cold water over it, stir to combine and allow it to sit for a few moments.
  3. Turn on the stove, and stir until the gelatin has completely dissolved. Get any clumps out by pressing your utensil into the side of the pan)
  4. Once completely dissolved, add the true lemon/lime packets. Stir until those dissolve completely.
  5. Pour into your molds.
  6. Place in the fridge for 15 minutes (or until the gummies have completely set) and enjoy!

  4. (optional) Add oatmeal and/or fruits

u/IllegalBeaver · 1 pointr/keto

I've been eating keto for over two years and I know this is a lifestyle change for me because of the way I feel. I gained a huge amount of energy after the first few weeks and it's stayed with me since.

As far as your electrolytes go you need to supplement magnesium, sodium, and potassium. I made Morton's lite salt (290mg sodium, 350mg potassium per 1/4tsp) 00 capsules but I found that when I did this I was retaining water even when I was drinking a minimum of 96oz a day. I instead salt my food as needed and eat foods with sodium added (mmm bacon). I buy potassium citrate powder on Amazon and make 00 capsules with that. I did the math and each 00 capsule holds 1/4tsp of their product which works out to about 500mg of potassium per their website information. This is a lot easier to supplement with as ALL potassium pills sold to the public are limited to 99mg due to FDA rules. I take three pills a day as I also eat foods with potassium in them (avocado, coffee, etc). I included some links to the products I use.

I recently bought this Capsule Machine and 1000 capsules off of Amazon...and it does make it easier.

I weighed the capsules the other day and I was getting about 7g in 10 of them.

It also makes 24 at a time which is awesome.

u/dunking_chef · 1 pointr/rosin
u/50kent · 1 pointr/abv

I know exactly what you mean with the taste, I usually can't even hold the abv down if I taste it. So I would recommend you make cannacaps. You'll still get gross abv burps and farts but they won't be as bad.

First step would be to get your abv to a fine grind, basically powdered. It's not super important, but it makes a difference in a couple different ways, and mortar and pestle sets can be pretty cheap. Hell you could probably even makes one that gets the job done. If you do grind your abv further, that's gonna be the smelliest part of this process, so I'd recommend you prep your room better than you would just for vaping.

The next step would normally be to water cure but since you're in a dorm that's likely not an option due to both smell and access to equipment. I have another method you can use to cure your abv with a pressure cooker that doesn't require an oven, if you're interested I can write that out for you, but I'd imagine smell would still be an issue.

Once your abv is ready, you can start to cap them. 00 sized caps work best IMO, they're pretty big so they hold a lot of abv. You could totally fill them up one by one, but if you can I'd recommend grabbing a capsule machine so you can fill a large number of capsules (the one I linked does 100 at a time) in like 10 minutes. The machine also does a super good job at getting as much abv as possible into each cap, which is part of why a super fine grind is important. Oh and if you do go for the machine, MAKE SURE you get one that matches the size of caps you have, I made that mistake once.

Regarding coconut oil, I don't usually use it but I've heard really good things about it maximizing THC absorption. I don't believe you can easily infuse your abv with oil without a kitchen/smell, but if you wanted to you could put a bit in the caps with the abv.

And there you go, simple cannacaps! I'd recommend you have a large fatty meal with or soon after taking the caps to maximize absorption. I'd also like to note that IME abv cannacaps fuse is even more unpredictable than just eating it, I've had it take like 4 or 5 hours to hit with caps.

I feel like I remember seeing a paper on that as well but I'm unable to look it up at the moment. One thing that is highly recommended for any connective tissue recovery is Gelatin + Vitamin C. Take 5-10g gelatin + a couple 100 mg of Vitamin C (I use a powder so hard to get a small amount, some people just mix it with orange juice or similar) 30-45 min pre workout that you'll be using the joint in question.

I also take this preventively before every workout to help keep everything strong and recovering properly. (Its becoming common practice for a lot of collegiate and professional teams as well, a lot of times they'll make a bunch of jello cubes with it to help distribute if thats easier)

Oooh man, I have lupus and fibro, so I understand pain! Kratom has been awesome for my pain relief!

I just realized that I didn't talk about dosing. I use gel caps since the taste of kratom is awful. I buy my [gel caps] (https://www.amazon.com/Capsule-Connection-Wholesale-Gelatin-Capsules/dp/B00428B6X6/ref=sr_1_3_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1491481358&sr=1-3&keywords=gel+capsules) on Amazon - and that's where I got my [capping machine] (https://www.amazon.com/Quik-Capsule-Holder-Tamper-capsules/dp/B01JDK7OVK/ref=pd_bxgy_121_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01JDK7OVK&pd_rd_r=34W4FW40VSKYW3TA901X&pd_rd_w=AkTzC&pd_rd_wg=zpi6C&psc=1&refRID=34W4FW40VSKYW3TA901X) as well. I use a [micro scale] (https://www.amazon.com/Smart-Weigh-SWS100-Digital-Pocket/dp/B00EPO9M2Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1491481482&sr=8-2&keywords=micro+scales+digital+gram) to weigh mine, but [this chart] (http://pin.it/tCm11E2) is pretty accurate.

I know a lot of people do the "toss and wash" method, or just mix the kratom in orange juice or yogurt. I've tried those, and it was a waste of my kratom, as I couldn't keep it down (the taste is just that bad, lol).

So, for me, I have a very low tolerance for meds and drugs and only need to dose about 1.2 to 1.4 grams (that's 2 capsules). I would suggest starting at 2 grams and seeing how you feel. If you need more pain relief after 20 minutes or so, I'd take another gram. Wait another 20 minutes and wash, rinse, repeat. 😉

Kratom can be a bit harsh on my stomach, so I make sure I have a little food in me before I take it. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions!

If you haven’t tried this already, I strongly suggest making cannacaps! They’re super quick and easy to make once you already have your infusion. First, warm it up a tiny bit (just enough to melt it), then take a small syringe and fill up some empty pill capsules. Seal those babies up and prepare for liftoff :)

If you’re vegan/vegetarian, they make vegetable-based capsules. Also, if size 00 capsules are too large for you to comfortably swallow, or if you want larger capsules so you don’t have to take as many, you can buy size 0 or 000 capsules (0 being the smallest) instead.

They’re super convenient! For each batch you make, start by taking one to determine how strong they are. I pulse my ABV through a coffee grinder before infusing it and skip the straining step to maximize efficacy, since taste isn’t an issue.

I've bought lots of different brands of capsules and have found that the NOW 750 count 00 Capsules work best, but if you're looking at a better price you could try these ones sold in bulk sets of 1000 . So this is a touchy topic but my wife and I have a TON of sex and sometimes I think it is the frequency that we do it (we don't use condoms when it's just the two of us) that can trigger this.

I am hesitant to post this because we have real life swinger buddies who read this sub, but anyways, here's our home remedy. Don't be grossed out.

Some first aid boric acid powder scooped into empty gel caps, inserted vaginally. If you have an exceptionally heavy play session might wanna douche it with peroxide first to nuke the bad microbes, then insert one of these after.

What causes BV? Imbalance in vaginal microbial flora. How does that happen? Lots of ways, could be hormonal imbalance, could be something is feeding the bad microbes (semen has a bit of fructose in it, and some lubricants might too, or who the fuck knows what kind of germs are on fingers or mouths) or could be a bacterial infection you need antibiotics for. However if it's something that reoccurs in reproducible situations I would say it's something throwing off your wife's pH and this might help.

Is it safe? My wife's gynecologist prescribed her these that were made by a compounding pharmacy in town. We ran out and started making our own. Seems to work exactly the same. Try at your own risk.

Do one at a time. If it doesn't clear up after the first one, do another one later that day, or the next day. Abstain from sex till you get it under control. If it doesn't work after a couple days, forget it and go back to the gynecologist . . . but this isn't an uncommon problem it's just not discussed openly because people think it's related to "bad hygiene" and women are ashamed of it.
