I know this sucks, but have you considered to buy simple flower girl dresses yourself? I assume the flower girls could be getting ready with you and would not be as high maintenance as their mother. You could just let them wear whatever you wanted to; like, ask them to wear another dress to "surprise mommy"?

For the record, I found some simple dresses in your desired colors for 15-60$ each: #1 - #2 - #3 - #4 - #5 - #6 - #7 - #8.

While I could deal with my flower girls wearing something bridal, I could not live with my FSIL 'betraying' me like this. Like, had she bought a cheap white dress because she couldn't afford purple ones, well, that's one story. But purposely buying something she knows you wouldn't like and then telling you you have to use these dresses because they were expensive - BS!

So, just for me, while this wouldn't be the hill to die on, I would be really tempted to invest less than $100 to buy dresses I like, and subsequently tell FSIL to fuck off. Sorry.

Amazon has affordable kids clothing in a wide range of sizes for girls: Dress 1, Dress 2, dress 3. You didn't mention the boys outfits so I'm assuming they're acceptable but Amazon does have suits for boys as well. My particular favorite although that one is a bit expensive.

I typed the name into amazon and another link showed up with it, but the color was slightly different. So I’m not sure what the true color is now..

The first one is white and purple with flowers. I love the spring colors. It also comes in pink.

The second one is teal and sequined with bows, if you have a little superstar on your hands :)
