HydroFlask is the Yeti of thermoses. Not actually better than anyone else, just priced better than anyone else. Pretty much any vacuum sealed thermos you buy on amazon is going to be comperable to a hydroflask.

I have this one and its awesome. 64 oz thermos for $20. I fill it with ice and mojito in the morning and pour drinks from it all day at the beach. https://www.amazon.com/45-Degree-Latitude-Favorite-Stainless/dp/B014X6GXCK/ref=sr_1_26?keywords=vacuum+growler&qid=1571235991&sr=8-26

edit: Now that I think about it, what would be REALLY cool is an insulated soup jar with a sandwich keeper in the lid.

hydroflask

Here is their largest.

Hydro Flask's insulated water bottles are made of high quality food grade 18/8 stainless steel. The bottles have no liner (like most aluminum bottles) and are BPA free. Unlike plastic water bottles or single wall stainless bottles, Hydro Flask will keep your beverage of choice at your preferred temperature for hours, whether you choose hot, cold or room temperature liquids. All Hydro Flask products feature a lifetime warranty and are double wall vacuum insulated. They are designed to be lightweight, making them great for long hikes, days on the beach, hot yoga classes, golf, long road trips or everyday office use. Even when filled with ice, the exterior of your Hydro Flask will never leave a puddle on your desk, drip on your shirt, or sweat in your bag.

I have one of [these style Growlers](http://www.amazon.com/Hydro-Flask-Insulated-Stainless-64-Ounce/dp/B005G5YRYY/] and it holds up really well. After you've opened it you want to drink it within 2-3 days, but it will hold for a little bit unopened in the fridge. I personally think it holds up better than the glass ones.

That said, I use it mostly for if I'm going somewhere with other people, as I rarely finish the whole thing before it starts to go flat.

I'm with you man! I was too shy/first time forester last year to do the GA Beer Exchange but this year I am all about it! My crew will definitely be bringing some Grand Rapids beers for the exchange, probably going to have to buy some stainless steel growlers like this: http://www.amazon.com/Kegworks-Stainless-Steel-Beer-Growler/dp/B00885HHSM to bring some local beers that aren't canned. Perrin and Harmony Brewing company are both amazing but dont can their beers!

Here's one idea.

I'm sure there are lots of other options out there, but that's just a quick google search for "64oz growler amazon".

u/churnopol · 2 pointsr/USPS

No. I was specifically shopping for steel bottles that weren’t double vacuum walled. I freeze a large water bottle and put it in my cooler. I like how non-vacuum bottles helps thaw that large ice block.

You can get this on amazon for $47.51 with free shipping.

Rock on, thanks for the suggestion. I ended up picking up a Yukon growler since it looks like a nice mix of everything I'm looking for, and with great reviews. But I love the look of the hydroflask!

I use growlers - they are pretty cheap and much easier to use than a mason jar. I have this one:
https://www.stumptowncoffee.com/products/insulated-growler
which looks and feels really nice, but isn't quite big enough to hold the full output of my cold brew tower, so I also have this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-10-02109-001-Adventure-Grumbler-Stainless/dp/B018ZT79ZG
which is cheaper and larger (but much less nice seeming).

These keep my cold brew good for a long time (1 wk +) and I've never had an issue with it seeming stale.

Madam ;) and here is one without insignia, albeit a bit more.

I don't own one but I've been sorely tempted by the stainless steel growlers out there..

I do have to admit. The thought has crossed my mind to use something like this.

I am loving my Hydro Flask. I've used Thermos, Stanley. Hydro Flask is easy to clean, easy to carry, pretty to look at, and less bulky than others.

I use their smaller 18 oz and 40 oz for my coffee needs, depending on the day.

You could check out their 64oz bottle

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005G5YRYY/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?qid=1405524683&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

Or the 40 oz

You'll need to get a cup separately.

I've got this one and it's awesome. $20 well spent. I get to take a growler of beer or mojito to the beach and have it stay cold all day. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014X6GXCK?psc=1

u/EavingO · 1 pointr/Homebrewing

Going to preface this with an up front I know this exists, I have no personal experience so definitely check reviews and see if it sounds decent

Not sure what your budget is but here are some ideas:

Wireless Charging Mousepad
(This is pretty new gaming tech if he likes wireless mice)

Wireless Charging Mouse
(There are 2 types from Logitech for the new pad)

Pressurized Growler

If he works, look at nice laptop bags.

See if he likes Bawls or other gamer drinks/edibles.

Hope it helps.

Mason jars are made to withstand vacuum, not internal pressure. so you're more likely to have an explosion with those than a bottle made to have internal pressure. The Grolsh style beer bottles work great. I also like using 1/2 gallon growlers (get the ploy caps).

Like this? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00885HHSM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AEUC6GAA8XY7Y

Can you prime in this? I am assuming yes as I prime in normal glass flip-tops.

I love my wooden tote but it is for Growlers. Does he have a stainless steel growler? This one is blank, but many breweries carry them with their logo on them if you know their favorites.

I leave mine in the car for beer emergencies. :D My husband made my tote for me but here is one or two for reference.

u/justfred · 1 pointr/BeerSanDiego

I'd also like to get one of those nice stainless steel growlers, but I'd like to know that my favorite breweries will fill it.
