This is what I wear.

u/Myreddithrowaway1001 · 11 pointsr/CCW

Neither of those belts are stiff enough to be gun belts.

Check out something like this belt. I have worn it for years. You do not want a riggers belt unless you plan on rappeling from something.

Your holster is also not any good for appendix carry. I would look at the offerings from: Raven Concealment, Haley Strategic's Incog line, Bradford Tactical Holsters, and T-Rex Holsters.

I love Amazon for this stuff as well, but as for gun belts I've heard Hanks Kydex reinforced belt is great. I can't speak personally for it, but I've seen nothing but great reviews. As for holsters I'm more of a minimalist, to carry my G19 I use a simple Galco Stow-n-Go IWB holster. It's been great so far.

So I opted to go with a budget set-up and I must say, I've been pretty damn happy with it.

I got an Uncle Mike's Tactical Competition belt for $23.55, a Blade-Tech Tek Lok Classic OWB Holster for $57.49 and two 3pk's of mag holders for 23.99 (x's 2)... all from Amazon (links below).

The only thing I have reservations about is the belt, but ONLY because they didn't have any in size M, so I went with a L. It still works fine, there's just a lot of overlap.

I should also add that while I had ZERO issues with it holding all my gear, if you buckle belt and hold it up it doesn't support the weight/gear like some belts do. It is stiff but not solid - twss.

u/Jameson21 · 3 pointsr/ProtectAndServe

I began having lower back pain after an injury from a use of force.

Last year I bought the Back Defender System and I can tell you that it's the best thing I've ever bought. It completely raises my duty belt off my hips and distributes the weight onto my shoulders. This has significantly reduced the pain I get while wearing my duty belt.

The initial setup is a bit tedious and it may require you to arrange your duty belt slightly but it's completely worth it. If you do choose to get the Back Defender, be aware that it will change how high your gun sits on your hip. I ended up getting a low ride holster holster adapter (Safariland Adapter)to lower the gun back to where it was.

Hanks Kydex, ~$90 right now on Amazon. You'll get Hanks 100-year warranty, but don't expect it to be quite as stiff as Beltman's reinforced Horsehide belts. Those Beltman Horsehide reinforced belts might be a little too dressy for most "business casual" types. The Hanks Kydex is a good compromise.

Amazon sells the Uncle Mikes competition belt setup for $20.99, the Krydex brand for $26.99, Quik2U TUFF for $36.99, black scorpion for $47.99, and Bladetech for $49.99. Links below. Hope this helps.

Not sure. Like I said, it looks like the buckle is stitched on so you'd have to get it around that somehow. Not sure that's possible. Cytac does make a molle mount

u/fromplsnerf · 2 pointsr/CCW

Quite comfotable.

I'm 5'6" and like 180lbs

this is the belt I use

here

Sure they are technically made for carrying around a gun, but they are built to last.

u/beast_in_black · 2 pointsr/opencarry

+1 on all the points here, especially on the Safariland instead of the Serpa.

Personally, I use the Safariland 6360 ALS/SLS for my 1911, which provides Level-III retention; here's one in basketweave finish and one in a plain black finish for the G19 if you're interested.

Note that by default it comes with a belt loop for 2.25" duty belts (which is how I wear mine), but you can get Universal Belt Loop adapters for other belt widths so it can be worn with dress belts - here's a UBL for 2" belts, and here's one for 1.5" belts.

I like the 6360 a bit better than the 6378 because of the added retention provided by the SLS hood, as well as the secure belt loop instead of the paddle.

Also, the offer for OC company is a good one; I'll be happy to give you guys company on your OC jaunts on the weekends, if you can PM me about a day in advance.

6'2 and formerly 320lbs. I've been wearing this Hanks belt for 2yrs and asside from a few scuffs and added holes due to weight loss it doesn't look any different (no sag or edge roll) than it did day one. My only complaint is the bulky buckle.

Thick, heavy duty, Amish, full grain, leather belts. They have 100 year warranties so naturally I bought three colors so that I never have to buy a belt again.

Amazon reviews are pretty good.

Sounds like a magic holster.

I love this belt. Elite CO Shooters Belt with Cobra Buckle (Medium, Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Y8IQYS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_8C65wb62MFJKS

Takes a few longer to get on as you can't just loop through. You remove buckle, feed belt & then put buckle on and zip to size. Cobra buckle rocks.

If your waist is extremely small (much under 30ish inches) you probably won't be able to find a battle belt. If you're near 30 inches, I recommend this model: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GNWYVNF/ since it takes up much less vertical real estate on your body than a full sized one.

As for what to attach to it, that depends on your blaster. To minimize gear, I would recommend using a blaster with a cylinder or internal magazine. The dart zone BallistixOps blasters, Rival Kronos, and Rival Artemis are all fairly compact options, and all you will need to go with them is a pouch full of ammo. If you want to use darts, I recommend modifying a blaster to use half length darts since both alone and in magazines they take up much less space (and the magazines are much lighter.) The ESPER by captain Slug is a good short dart blaster that doesn't cost much more than some normal Nerf brand blasters (especially considering costs to mod them). Normal blasters can mostly be converted to short darts, cost of parts and mod difficulty will vary depending on which blaster you start with.

I use this zero problems with it moving with 6 ar mags on it.

Skip the battle belt, get something like Condor LCS Gun Belt or something similar There are two versions one woth metal buckle and one with plastic buckle. Condor LCS Tactical Gun Belt,

A nylon belt with a Cobra Buckle. These belts are amazing if you carry and are looking purely for function this design can't be beat. I carry IWB also and this belt makes all the difference. As a side note I am also using a n82 holster.

Yes, I have a Hanks Gunner belt. I'll definitely check out Stealthgear!

u/HueyLongDemocrat · 1 pointr/CCW

I wear this one to work in a white collar environment every day. It carries my P320C beautifully. There's a steel core version if you're wearing something truly heavy as well.

u/1_EYED_MONSTER · 1 pointr/CCW

There's a ton of great options but I really really like my Relentless Tactical.

I'm not "skinny" but I'm not "fat" lol I'm 22, 5'8" and 190. I'm muscular and built. Idk how that will change my carrying. I want IWB, until it gets cold and I'll go OWB and grab a jacket to throw over. I'm getting one this week, grabbing this because I don't have $80 to drop on a belt AND holster. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01C297VR6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469422854&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=gun+belt&dpPl=1&dpID=41Q14AZ5CRL&ref=plSrch

Measure before you buy. I'm a 36 waist and wear a 42 gun belt.

u/realmp06 · 1 pointr/CCW

I use alien gear cloak 3.0 iwh, very, very comfortable for my full size pistol i carry now. As far as a belt, just depends on what kind of function I attending, but for normal, everyday usage, I use a tactical web belt found here. For more dressier occasions, I use this one.
