I have the plate holders you're talking about and can also remove the pin easily but it's never fallen out on it's own and holds my plates securely so I wouldn't be concerned at all about their monolift. I'd take a Canadian made monolift made for my rack over a Titan one I might have to hammer in any day. The first one looks like it'd work and if you get a clevis and cotter pin to attach the handles, you could take it apart and lay it flat in in your closet since space is such a premium.

If you're handy and have the time, you can build your own. I built mine using 1.5" PVC so I could put it flat against a wall when I'm not using it. I kept each side separate from each other and made the feet removable to make storing it easier. It's basically just 2 90 degree elbows to make the main body of it and then two 3 way tee's to make the feet so they don't tip over. It's been working really well for about a year now. I think it cost me about $25 for everything from Lowes.

It looks pretty much like this but taller and the feet come off so everything lays flat against the closet wall.

Thanks for your advice! I don't do a ton of woodworking - essentially I would drill a little hole and put a tiny wooden dowel like this in it, sort of like furniture that comes disassembled and in boxes? I do have a drill, as well as other basic tools.

You could always use dowels and use dowel markers for underside of table to mark where the dowels need to go.

Yea, I mean 2 bucks isn’t that bad for a “gun part” but paying shipping and waiting a week for delivery is kind of stupid though when you can just get any ol’ 1/16th roll-pin from a hardware store and have it in your hands today. I'm just going to grind down the sharper points here and there a bit and use what I have. The foreign installation is excellent at coming up with infinite excuses to not practice. There's always something better just around the corner...turn, turn, turn...and you can't remember where you were going in the first place. As one monk I read years ago put it "it's almost as if there is an opponent actively trying to stop you from practicing." I'm done with excuses.

I think what's most important is that they eventually lock-in; you then don't have to squeeze down painfully hard to keep them in place.

These steel dowel-pins on Amazon (best price) are probably workable as well. You would have to grind down one of the ends to a more conical or wedged tip, and flatten the sides a bit to keep them stable between the fingers.

you can buy them or make them. They have these dowel cutters for drill presses, or you can buy buckets of them for pretty dang cheap.

In my extremely inexperienced opinion, make your own if you're going to show them off, just buy them if they're going to be hidden. It's way to much work when you can get 300 of them for under 10 bucks.

I've only put up a christmas tree once, and that was years ago. I don't put up any other decorations. I use my cats as my excuse!

A cheap, mobile setup, you say? I did a "reloading 9mm on the cheap" youtube series a while back that would probably fit your requirements well.

In that series I use the Lee hand press and the little Lee reloader press. Doing 100-200 a week on the hand press might get old, but I guess that depends on how important portability is to you. Neither of these presses is very good for rifle, except for small stuff like 223 or 300blk. If you're mainly worried about pistol stuff, they'd work great, though. And they're cheap and portable.

For cleaning, that harbor freight tumbler will do just fine. You will need to buy some steel pins. I haven't personally used the harbor freight unit, so I'm not sure how many lbs of pins is optimal for that setup. Beyond the pins, you just use regular dish soap and some lemi-shine (used in dishwashers. pick it up at any walmart).

The seat clamp is supposed to clamp the frame and squeeze the seat post in the hole. Is there a chance you got the clamp up higher on the post, that happens. Won't work at all if it's not clamping the right thing.

To fix what you got, we have to find out what failed, and what to fix? The clamp works? Threads not stripped, it gets tight when you close the cam lever? In the mean time, you can stick a rod in the hole and the seat post will not go down further. 1/4 or 10mm bolt about 1.5 inches long should do. They make quick pins for that purpose.

I just took a micrometer to mine. It is essentially 3x16mm. Mine mic'd out to 2.98-2.99mm diameter. A longer pin could be cut/filed down to size.

I'm willing to bet a CZ-75 pin will work and they only cost $2.

It looks like there isn't an exact match for a 3mm wick in a drill bit. Some very close which might work. This is another option. No clue what I would need with 100 of them but for 7 bucks and free prime shipping it is a thought.

Of course, these are all grooved for glue-up purposes, so they may not make the best cosmetic pieces. If you need something cosmetic, McMaster Carr has long wood dowels in birch, oak, and maple that you could cut to fit.
