It's a whisk broom. It's for cleaning small areas, like a countertop or a hearth. http://www.amazon.com/Ocedar-Bran-Common-Whisk-Broom/dp/B0012H16US

Nah, even that can't help him now. This link would be more appropriate:

I use one of these when I'm at home. I've got an SUV and minivan to clear off and it makes short work of it. This is what I carry in my car. The head pivots so you can brush side to side and pull or push snow.

As far as dust collection is concerned, this link will take you to the only dc you really need beyond a shop vac for turning.

I have the 1624-44. Its a fair bit bigger then a jet mini but I have very few complaints about it after getting to know it, also, it's on "sale" for like 4 or 500 off every 6 months or so. But it's been a great workhorse and seems to be pretty forgiving for a beginner like me.

I'd be curious to know what kind of grinder you've been looking at because I need to upgrade mine, although lately I've been enjoying the carbide tipped tools and don't go for my traditional tools as often any more.

Ok so this is kind of boring but you will need this for your first time in your first house a mop (or if you hate mopping you should get these mop slippers instead and a cute broom (or just any broom).

Have fun in the new house and thanks for the contest!

Sounds like this sort of thing.

Sthufferin' Sthuccotash!

Twelve mice.

Cheese!

I would arm my babydude with this mini broom and let him have at it.

Both Rutland and Quick-N-Bright offer products that do this job fairly well:

https://www.amazon.com/Quick-Brite-Fireplace-Creosote-Chemicals/dp/B0792JF8YQ

https://www.amazon.com/Rutland-Sweep-Soot-Remover-1-Pound/dp/B00120R4ZQ

Just be aware that you will never be able to remove all the soot. It is incredibly fine, and gets into nooks and crannies deeply. You can make it look good, but will never get it to a brand new appearance.

We bought a telescoping broom and dustpan we love: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EDUUG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_-7Ijzb1HM1358

Those floors! Inside and out, Homey, they need to be swept! Sweep that mess up, but don't look all bummy with a regular broom. Get your broom game tight. You need a broom a professional would use! A multi-surface, heavy duty, don't slip and fall on your booty, broom! It's a little over budget because it has a super secret built-in feature usually sold separate!

Hope you find something you like and enjoy! Also, thanks for having this contest!

Yeah, I was desperate to live on my own! It was quite sad!

Here's a pretty broom and dustpan for cleaning up small messes. I've used my tiny set countless times! <3 Good luck!

This, plus a cheap shrub rake completely changed the poop picking up game for me, and has saved my back.

How about this adorable mini walrus pan and duster!? Do you cook often? If so these cute measuring cups might be useful. They are pretty and could double as decor. If you like the design but don't cook too often, you could use these storage containers for leftovers.

When I'm home alone, I get a little scared. But I also like to eat. Carve some cheese, or shank an intruder with this Chefs Knife

I need all these items for the same reason you do!

The all-rubber ones like this also work well on hard floors!

You forgot the glorious Superfeger.

Speaking of optimizing, I got a standard mop handle that can be used with various attachments from different brands. Something like this, from the local hardware store: https://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Commercial-FG636400LAC-Lacquered-Wood-Threaded/dp/B005KDD0KY/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=wood+mop+handle&qid=1574739110&sr=8-3

My scrub brush can screw onto the handle if I want to use it that way. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Weiler-44434-Polypropylene-Overall-Length/dp/B004FTPTSA/ref=pd_sbs_328_8?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B004FTPTSA&pd_rd_r=cf61e3b6-cd60-49ad-8661-5a25a0e87da1&pd_rd_w=Tp1Pr&pd_rd_wg=JOMX0&pf_rd_p=5873ae95-9063-4a23-9b7e-eafa738c2269&pf_rd_r=2YD1N4MFHMFCS3AFJR9X&psc=1&refRID=2YD1N4MFHMFCS3AFJR9X

And the quick loop mop will also fit: https://www.amazon.com/Quick-Loop-Mop-Head-Washable-Microfiber/dp/B073T426JP/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=quick+loop&qid=1574739239&sr=8-1

I appreciate not being locked into one brand ecosystem. You can get all kinds of things for a standard mop handle. This way I just have one handle and I can store all the attachments together in a box to save space.

You could do any shape with natural fibers. I just like the wok brushes because I learned the technique cooking thai food and just adopted it because it's so much better than fussing with plastic bristles that cant bare the heat.

I think you'll have better luck with dense, thick bristles, so they can scrape away bits with ease and have good coverage, but just play around with what makes you happy.

Maybe an old fashioned hand broom

if you dont have access to an asian market and can't find anything else?
