My park bag usually includes:

  • This is the bag I use. It's lightweight, sturdy, stowable, and the perfect size. You can usually find it on sale on Eddie Bauer's website.
  • An extra ziplock bag. (To keep stuff dry)
  • This personal fan for those hot days.
  • A buff.
  • Portable chargers.
  • A mini first aid kit.
  • A small tube of sunscreen.

Some unusual items I usually pack in my suitcase:

  • A surge protector for the hotel room - charging my phone, watch, camera, etc. at the end of the day.
  • This Chafing Relief Gel from Target is a lifesaver on my inner thighs.

It鈥檚 a stretchy headwear tube thing. I read about it on this board and have seen it on some curly IG posts.

I have tried wrapping with silk scarves, they always fall off by morning. I鈥檝e also used silk pillow cases but my curls still get messed up. The pineapple definitely doesn鈥檛 work for me. It creates some weird shapes.

I鈥檝e only tried the buff once, but it stayed put! I stretched it out, pulled it over my head like a necklace, then flipped upside down, extended the buff so it covered my hair. It stayed in all night.

Only if it's this one

You can find this a lot cheaper on Amazon. The tape isn't sticky on other things, it clings to itself. So it shouldn't leave any residue.

Lol I know you said urban but this stuff works for us in the field. Eye sore but less sweats.

Why not wrap it? a bit pricier, but the end results can be awesome. if you end up not liking it or wanting something different in the future, you can peel it off, no solvents required.

Its self adherent wrap, like for bandages.

I don't know what the definition of 'break the bank' is for you, and being a RUSFOR player (and owner of one of these) I figured I'd kinda just leave this here. 11 color options, will take time to come from Russia. u/ZutaTheFox could probably get you one cheaper, too.

Some people have already posted some good bases to start with, however by your somewhat low res image it looks like that is a 3D / leafy hood you want, so you may want to pick up a couple rolls of these in your preferred pattern to flourish it out with if you don't want to just use local foliage.

Here's what I wear in sub-30 weather starting from the bottom:

Wool socks, sandwich bag over each sock (put it on under the shoe and then tie the top of the bag so it doesn't hit your chain), thermal bottoms, pants, tshirt or thermal top, light sweater or flannel, shell jacket (ie something to keep moisture off of you, heat contained, and serve as a wind brake - don't bother with anything heavy unless it's around 0f), shell mittens and nothing else on my hands, buff around my neck, buff over my head covering ears and skull, bike helmet.

I biked to work this morning at 7am with that outfit and felt fine the whole ride. Even showed up slightly sweaty.

When the temperature dips under 20f I'll add liner gloves under the mittens, a scarf, and a hat with ear protection.

This really helped me go stealth.

I wear a buff over mine. It鈥檚 thin so it doesn鈥檛 get too hot and has multiple uses.

I saw a video from some guy who came up with a creative soulution to this issue. He painted the front portion (pretty much everything in front of the mag well a bright/florescent green color and then used something like this (link below) to wrap around the barrel, handgaurd, ect. That he would put on AFTER he got to the field, and remove it when he was done for the day. Granted he played at mostly wooded/grasslands areas, but maybe you could make a black one for urban places if that's where you play.

It's a stretchy, self-adhesive tape. Pretty neat but I think it would melt onto the can if I was shooting a lot. Only needs to withstand one shot, maybe two for my purposes though.

This is the stuff.

This year I bought some camo netting like this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXLXZNU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It blocks off the sun when it peeks through the side of your EZ up while letting the wind still go through (no flying tarps). We also bought a bunch of misters and battery powered fans.
