For the cheese snacks, I'd recommend the individual packed Justin nut butter packs instead! You can order them in bulk on Amazon.

u/Rygard- · 7 pointsr/EatCheapAndHealthy

Amazon has this deal that seems pretty good

Walmart seems to have a similarly priced option.

Also check your discount grocery stores. I’ve seen off-brands for cheap-ish at Big Lots and Aldis

u/Shoobop_shoobop · 7 pointsr/ketorecipes

Just a heads up if you are thinking about trying this and have NONE of the ingredients;

The stuff you can easily get at your grocery store excluded, ( butter, sour cream, cream cheese, eggs and vanilla extract) buying the ingredients for the first time you are looking at about 75.00 off Amazon.

Call it a 100.00 recipe.

Of course I know you can make more than one batch. The cookies for the crust are 22.00 on amazon and you will get two crusts from one package of 12 cookies before re-upping.

Hope this helps. Below is what I have in my cart. If you can find a less expensive alternative, by all means please let me know. I WILL be making these soon.

You can buy it on Amazon if you have more money than sense.

u/Ventureb0y · 6 pointsr/fatlogic

I love this Brand named "teddies", but right now my seller is out, and I'm down to my last half jar...but I digress.

What is important is the fewer ingredients, the better. Teddies is just peanuts and salt, but the reason we have to spend extra on it is because my wife has a severe case of Celiac disease, and Teddies is gluten free certified. If allergies are not a problem, just take some time and see what brand is going to have the fewest added things like palm oil, corn syrup, dehydrated cane solids, sucralose additives...it's all different names for sugar. If it is cheaper for you to buy nuts in bulk and mush them in a processor, all the better. Check your grocery store, and then compare on Amazon; sometimes places really upcharge for the "natural" stuff. It is amazing that you have to often spend more to have less stuff put in your food.

People will argue that a calorie is a calorie, and losing or gaining weight is just a matter of increasing or decreasing fuel input. I believe this, in the same way I believe that painting a masterpiece is simply a matter of applying paint in the proper spots along a canvas. It is technically true, but easier said than done.

u/[deleted] · 5 pointsr/AskWomen

I used to get this powdered chocolate peanut butter and just eat maybe two tablespoons of it as a dessert. It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s so rich and protein packed that you really only want two tablespoons! It’s delicious!

Edit: you just mix it with water so you’re not adding calories by having to mix it with milk!

u/TheNewOldeFashioned · 4 pointsr/fitmeals

I see a lot of people talking about the fat content in there. Another thing you could do if you don't want to use straight protein powder is use the PB Fit powdered peanut butter. It's basically peanut butter with the peanut oil removed. I personally use both a scoop of protein powder and PB Fit.

My usual smoothie recipe is this, if you're interested:

  • Half an avocado
  • Juice of a lemon
  • A few slices of ginger
  • 1/4 cup of beet
  • Handful of baby spinach
  • Handful of baby carrots
  • A scoop of protein powder
  • A scoop of chia seeds
  • A scoop of PB Fit
  • Half a cup of frozen blueberries
  • Fill the pitcher with water up to the top of the ingredients

A scoop is about 5 tbsp, I use the scoop from the protein powder for all the scoops listed in the recipe... I have a lot of scoops leftover from old bags of protein powder.

This comes out of the Vitamix thick, but drinkable. Makes about 3 pints and keeps me full for quite a bit. I usually eat a couple scrambled eggs with it after the gym.
u/Kitiarana · 4 pointsr/1200isplenty

Yup.

I've seen it in a lot of regular grocery stores too like Walmart. It's not crumbly like a cup, but it tastes the same.

u/CZambrano · 4 pointsr/keto

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but peanut butter was my strongest craving. I looked for peanut butter with no sugar but couldn't find any. I settled for the PBFit peanut butter powder.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FYXCQ1S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I mix this in with heavy cream/stevia for whipped cream, it's great.

u/mslindz · 3 pointsr/Celiac

Rice, plain potatoes (just salt/pepper and maybe some dairy free 'butter'), chicken breast, gf/df bread (Kinnikinnick is a great option), crackers. I love this whole grain teff - there's a porridge recipe on the back that's great and kind of like cream of wheat, except nuttier in flavor. I also like this brown rice farnia. Bob's Red Mill is pretty awesome about testing for gluten and takes it seriously. I've never had an issue and I'd consider myself pretty sensitive.

Recently I've had a lot of trouble eating in the mornings. Assuming you don't have problems with soy, this protein powder is pretty great on its own (just mixed with non-dairy milk). I've also been using this soy protein powder to make shakes. I've been using one ripe banana, 2 TBSP PB Fit Chocolate Peanut Butter, 1/2 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 cup Califa Farms toasted coconut almond milk (love this!), and a handful of ice - blend it all up and enjoy. I'm watching my weight (trying to lose), so I love the powdered peanut butter, but you could sub regular in easily or add the soy protein powder to any kind of shake you want for a boost.

u/sneevley · 3 pointsr/1200isplenty

I use PB2 and just order the two full size containers on Amazon. It's the best deal and I really like the taste! I'll even make my lunch the night before but just throw the PB on top and not mix it in until the next day and it still combines great. Here's the link to what I ordered, it looks like the 2 pack is currently unavailable :( I also use the PB2 Chocolate with my chocolate protein powder

u/scurvyorca · 3 pointsr/1200isplenty

PB2 makes a chocolate variety as well. It doesn't taste like Nutella but it's still a fairly rich chocolate flavor!

u/yourfavouritemoo · 3 pointsr/EDFood

PB powder is a life saver. Keep in mind most of them do have added sugar so if you want a totally sugar free one, there are some on the market as well.

Here's one on Amazon.

u/FormulaKimi · 3 pointsr/veganfitness

Now Sports Pea Protein... get the unflavored version (no sweeteners) and if you can't stand the taste mix it with some peanut butter powder (like PB2) or cocoa... about 30g of protein.

When did this cost $5? It's listed as $34.99 for me.

Edit: Looks like it could be closer to 0 net carbs if they left out the added sugar...

u/existie · 2 pointsr/keto

I don't really crave sweets, but the cupcake cheesecakes were really good when I tried them. Carb Smart ice cream. Chocolate almond butter (BEST THING EVER! Savor one serving of it, it's a heavy-hitter calorically and carb-wise. Dip the tip of your spoon in it and savor it. Rinse and repeat. Strongly flavored so this works. It's my Dr. Who snack.). Hot cocoa (heavy cream, cocoa powder or SF syrup, stevia, vanilla/cinnamon... heat up... nom!). Coffee with lots of cream.

u/barbellsandbacon · 2 pointsr/xxfitness

My snacks are often smaller portions of my regular meals (usually protein and a veg), or just sliced leftovers of whatever meat I recently grilled. Microwaved sausages (Applegate, or whatever brand) are hearty. Also beef jerky or packets of nut butters, sucked straight out of the packet, or on an apple or (swoon) a banana. They're not warm, but at least room temperature!

Edit: And soup. Oh, how I love soup!

u/VTBlueEyedGuy · 2 pointsr/keto

I keep these stashed everywhere for if I ever need them, including in my bag. They're great for travel. I'm working my way up to a 20/4 IF so sometimes I need some fat ASAP!

u/EmeryXCI · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Reese's Puffs Cereal because it is the absolute best of both worlds. All the deliciousness that is Reese's, the perfect ratio between not-too-sweet chocolate and not-too-salty peanut butter, combined with the super powers of CEREAL. ZOMG! It's amazing. So delicious. I could live off this stuff. Actually, I probably could because it's kind of nutritous. So that just makes it even MORE awesome! <3

u/jbburgess · 2 pointsr/SJEarthquakes

I have good news: Reese's Puffs are still very much a thing. Go, enjoy.

u/Matt_B_Media · 2 pointsr/PeanutButter
u/__sample__ · 2 pointsr/BurningMan

Yeah, I'm comparing to these guys that are also 30 g- so almost exactly the same size:

https://www.amazon.ca/Justins-Chocolate-Hazelnut-Butter-Squeeze/dp/B00II0XHZO

u/Jynxers · 2 pointsr/loseit

I'll add the peanut butter after microwaving my oats and water and then I just stir it vigorously to incorporate. Sometimes I use peanut butter powder (I like the PB&Me No Sugar Added variety) if I want the peanut butter flavour but want to save a few calories.

u/dmcindc · 2 pointsr/ketotrees

I take some egg thins (they are like crepes and I found them at Costco), put a few blobs of plain goat cheese in the middle of them (I get the big tubes at Costco), and then add some Stevia Blueberry Jam (I use this kind), and then roll them up and add a bit of whipped cream. It has a blueberry cheesecake kind of flavor.

Those egg thins are amazing. I haven't done it yet, but I am going to try getting some ricotta cheese, mixing with a Truvia packet, and some Hershey's sugar-free chocolate chips, and filling it with that, so it's like a cannoli crepe.

u/greatunclejerebear · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm craving some super delicious NUTELLA

It's been a few months since I've had it, and AUGHH it sounds so yummy right now.. Yum. Nutella. Mm. I just might get out of bed and go buy some.

u/AngelicBabyGirl · 2 pointsr/randomactsofamazon
u/darkguy2 · 2 pointsr/soylent

For the smaller bottles not really. I bought the 16oz jars of it. It comes to $0.53/oz if you buy two, compaired to $0.98/oz for the smaller ones.. You can also get the chocolate. Have not tried that one, however.

u/KillaWillaSea · 1 pointr/nutella

You're welcome. A little on the pricy side but it is worth it.

u/skeeveholt · 1 pointr/keto
u/nowxisxforever · 1 pointr/coupons

Wellll, if they can't be bothered to read the ingredients/nutrition info, I'd say Nutella deserves to keep the money. Same with people who spend money on homeopathy.

That said, for a better alternative, this stuff is heaven. I eat a serving size very slowly with the tip of my spoon while I watch Dr. Who. It's strongly flavored, salty/sweet, but still not a lot of sugar, I'm pretty sure it's <10g net carbs. Once or twice a week is great for a treat!

u/ph33rsockmonkey · 1 pointr/loseit

Very true! I can't even remember the last time I had peanut butter. More partial to almond butter. I really like the Justins Almond Butter in the snack-size portion

u/Gorilla1969 · 1 pointr/keto

Big box and bulk club stores have it. Look for PB Fit or a similar brand.

u/docbad32 · 1 pointr/running

I use these. Taste good, come in a handle packet.

u/GroovyGrove · 1 pointr/keto

They make macadamia nut butters in squeeze bags that are probably the easiest way to get something into your body on the move. This is their intended purpose. I have not tried either of these products, so if you do, report back please.

Performance Nut Butter

FBOMB Fat Bomb

My research was preliminary. I have been keto for almost a year, but I only started running recently. Was just curious what was out there for when/if the time comes.

And for anyone else, one of these also comes in a glass jar, so might just be an excellent source of fat.

You can buy it via Amazon, I got mine here: https://www.amazon.de/Bell-Plantation-Powdered-Chocolate-454/dp/B00H9GWY5W/ I use it when I prep overnight oats :) Greetings from Wiesbaden ;)

it's a pretty small snack, but sometimes what I do is get a cup and throw in some PB2 powered peanut butter. I mix it up with the water to make it then throw milk into it and eat it with a spoon as I drink the milk. It should work well with hot milk too. I also have this snack after a workout day and throw half a cup of Kind PB whole grain granola , but I dont suggest doing that for a late night snack because of the carbs.

peter pan is 4 net... but this stuff is even better... 1 net carb... and is awesome in silk for a smoothie...

Sweet Jam with Stevia by Good Good is sweetened with Stevia. It’s still a sweetener, but is way better than cane sugar and I find that a little bit of stevia doesn’t make me have cravings like some other sweeteners do. I hope my link works (I’ve never linked from reddit before) :

It's about your total carb count, not about what the carbs come from. I'm mad about biscuits and tea, so I get your craving! I'm still experimenting to find the best recipe, but look through the most upvoted /r/ketorecipes posts for keto-friendly biscuit recipes. Some are complicated (and look great) but there are plenty of simple ones.

Also, if you like jam with your biscuits, Good Good Sweet Jam is fantastic.

Ok, screw it. Let's do this.

  • 1 15-pound bag of long-grain white rice. This has about 25,000 calories, per USDA data (google white rice nutrition facts) and costs $20.47 on Amazon

  • 2 6-can packs of black beans provide 4,214 additional calories (439 grams per can 12 cans = 5,268 grams / 125 grams per serving = 42.14 servings 100 calories per serving = 4,214 calories). This costs us another $30.58 on Amazon

At this point we probably need some more protein (the beans have a good amount of this) and fats to balance our diet, plus some veggies and other fresh stuff.

  • 4 cans of Keystone chicken. This is minimally processed, and it's about the cheapest I could find. This gives us another 1,761 calories of much-needed protein, but comes at the relatively high cost of $28.32 on Amazon

  • 1 two-pack of Jif creamy peanut butter brings us an additional 16,150 calories (yay, fats) at a reasonable price of $19.99 on Amazon

Right now we're at 47,125 calories for the month, about 13,000 short of our 60,000-calorie-a-month requirement. We've already spent $99.36. We've tried as hard as hell to save money, our diet is technically balanced (though weighted heavily toward cheaper carbs) but is incredibly boring. I'd wager most people would like a little more variety than this. Perhaps you could throw in some cheap oats for breakfast and some cheap fruit and veggies to fill in the blanks. I still don't see how you're getting 60k calories in a balanced diet on just $110 a month.

Hahaha, that was hilarious! Thanks! I buy my PB2 at Costco, where it's about $12 for a 30 oz. tub, I believe, so it's a lot cheaper than at the supermarket. I don't have Winco in my area, but if you do find something that's sugar free, would you mind letting me know? I would absolutely prefer sugar free. As far as the incredible concoctions you've described...I better not make them, as they'll make me want to eat this stuff even more. So annoying. I'm familiar wiht Lily's brand and I like that it's sweetened with Stevia, but if I get my hands on it, I'll eat the whole bar before I get home. It isn't pretty.

Thanks for commiserating with me about our plight. Maybe one day, we'll find a way to enjoy our nuts, guilt-free!

Edit: I just found this https://www.amazon.com/PB-Me-Powdered-Peanut-Butter/dp/B01AQLEN9G and it's sugar free, although some of the reviewers don't like it as much as PB2. Still, despite the price, I'm going to order it and if i don't like it as much, I can always mix it with PB2. Thanks for alerting me to a sugar free powdered peanut butter option! Too bad it ends up being super expensive, but I'll just cut back on other things.

Edit 2: I'm realizing that what I got at Costco isn't PB2, but is called PBFit. It has 50 calories and 2 grams of carbs for 2 tablespoons, while the Amazon Product PB & Me has 45 calories & 2 grams of carbs, but it does have zero sugar. Not sure if it's worth the extra expense.

Forget the white bread, it is the devil. As for the peanut butter, you could make a keto smoothie using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/PBfit-All-Natural-Produced-BetterBody-Foods/dp/B00KDCCYFY?th=1

Pretty widely available online and in big box stores.

I stay away from carrots, if it tastes sweet it's probably not ok. That's what I figure anyway. As for fat intake, I've been eating alot of cheese, and fat bombs. (Google fat bomb recipes). Also, I just discovered Fatso Crunchy peanut butter. Omg it's so good!

While playing? Individual almond butter pouches, or something like Bobo's Bars.

Before rounds? If playing after lunch then salad and plenty of water, usually a coconut water as well. If playing before lunch then eggs and vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, etc.) either in the form of an omelette or scrambled + veggies on the side.

I eat a considerable amount of food in general, I just try to keep my net carbs down. And I try to minimize how much of a percentage of those carbs are in the form of sugar.

Greek yogurt and PB2.

I'm not against veganism, but a PB&J is basically candy. The protein / calorie ratio is horrible.
