If you go to a big shoe store and ask, they will often give you tons of empty shoe boxes for free. (And if you feel weird asking, you can say it's for a kid's school project).

Smoke shops also sometimes sell empty cigar boxes for as little as $1 apiece and they're beautiful and unique. (I also nail these to the wall sometimes to make little shadowboxes.)

I also recently bought these little boxes on Amazon to organize small things inside drawers. They come in different sizes and you can buy them in bulk so they're not super expensive.

Absolutely, otherwise you can't fit more than 2-3 large figures without having your figures in the back blocked by those in the front. Here's some pics of my setup:

I buy bulk assorted-size kraft paper jewelry boxes from Amazon Warehouse Deals to package the vintage jewelry I sell. I then wrap the box in kraft paper & put a "thank you" sticker on it.

These look similar-ish to what you're looking for & are $20 per 100.

If you search "jewelry display" on Amazon, a lot of cheap but professional-looking options come up that you could probably use for your charms. I only sell online, but I bought the stands that I use to photograph my stuff on Amazon.

Thank you!

I purchased the shadow boxes here. They come filled with the white fluffy material which fills the whole box, so the pictures wedge between that and the glass. The Itasca coin was tricky - had to command strip it to the fluff lol

I use something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Jewelry-Organizer-Storage-Container/dp/B00D2OCF54/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1466564545&sr=8-5&keywords=plastic+organizer

It's not the prettiest thing, but it sits in a drawer until I need something out of it. And it keeps everything from getting tangled.

You can get plain containers on Amazon or any craft store. You could get a flat one like this or stackable ones like this . They are usually for crafting or makeup and are fairly inexpensive.

How do you feel about utilizing boxes like these for storage?

https://www.amazon.com/Display-Guys-Cotton-Cardboard-Jewelry/dp/B07H116913/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?keywords=white%2Bjewelry%2Bboxes&qid=1567233084&s=gateway&sprefix=white%2Bjew&sr=8-11&th=1&psc=1

You can get them for cheap at any Walmart or dollar store. Pull the cotton out. I feel like they’re a good size, cheap. Could be glued along side each other as an alternative to foam core. I’m wondering if someone with experience sees some potential here. (I’ve never made an insert or boxes like yours)

I’m pretty sure that’s a standard glass top display case (see link below). You could supplement the included foam with like newspaper or something underneath so that the coins press against the glass and don’t move much. I used to collect gems so I have a few of these.

I couldn't find many options. Most were either too big or too small so I went with these. As you can see I have some spare room but I really like how the miniatures fit perfectly

https://www.amazon.com/LEFVTM-12pcs-Bottle-Sequin-Screws/dp/B01N0WV9FM these were the smallest I could find, 3/4 of an inch. Interested to see how it works out. Otherwise still a nice ass product

How tall do you need it? What material?

Searching “3.5 x 3.5 box” on Amazon gets you stuff like this.

I'm in Canada, and sadly the same boxes are $70 +15$ in shipping on Amazon.ca... :(
Thanks for the idea though! I'll look and see if I can find some more affordable options. Worst case scenario, I can ask my American in-laws if they can ship them to me.

It is doable but they tend to slide sometimes down the glass. I actually bumped a frame while it was hanging and it can sometimes make them move from position.

Here is the frame on Amazon.

I use them very sparingly but you have to be very careful. Too slack and they don’t hold anything well, too tight and they can cut into the components and damage them, especially cards.

They also become brittle quickly and will break after using them a couple of times. I’m sure this can be mitigated with more premium ones (magicians rubber bands come to mind) but this will cost more than 99c

I find it much better, to use the right size bag for decks of cards and store components in those clear plastic jewellery/tackle boxes which come in an array of different sizes and massively cut down setup time. (Opening 20 bags before a game isn’t fun).

If I have thick cardboard terrain tiles for example, I might use bands to hold them. Particularly if the game box gets jostled about a lot when transporting. Otherwise the mix of bags for cards and tackle box for chits does fine. I think I’m still using bands to hold together Caverna tiles but after two uses, they’ve started to break.
