Can you think of a less glamorous woodworking project?
I wanted a cupboard bin that re-uses carrier bags (something like this but couldn't find one that would fit in my narrow cupboards..) so I made my own as a good excuse to try some dovetail joints by hand.
Main lessons learned:
You're going to be north of the arctic circle around summer solstice. The sun will literally never set.
But I'm certainly not going to pass up the opportunity to tell you that you should own a Zebralight H600Fc. You might well want to use it in the ~10 lumen mode to read at night in your tent if it's too opaque to use ambient light, or you're in the shade. It will run for 7 days continuously at that level.
This battery is the go-to choice. You can put spares in waterproof match cases. This charger is popular, but I'm not sure it's ideal for solar use. /u/parametrek may have some suggestions about solar (but I think the suggestion might just be bring more spare batteries).
I've found this and this to be helpful on the shelves where it's difficult to see what might be behind the things in front.
I tend to use a lot of rectangular Lock & Lock containers. They stack up easy on the other shelves.
The shorts can double up on the long.

You may be able to find some sort of teapot spout cover that will decrease the spillage. They are generally not attractive at all but you have to sacrifice some aesthetics to "fix" your teapot.
i've been using random amazon boxes that fit well. eventually i will decorate them but for now it's fine.
also there are TONS of containers like these and these on amazon, target, etc.
if you get creative it's easy to find what you need.
If you still use plastic grocery bags, I've had this simplehuman thing under my sink for 4 years so far. I haven't had any problem with smell, but I do throw it out pretty often. Maybe you should shoot for a smaller can to force frequent disposal so the stank doesn't build up?
I have this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cuisinart-CPK17U-Kettle-Brushed-Stainless/dp/B003UFQTYI/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468451655&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=cuisinart+car+temp
it is a bit more expensive than 50 though
do you just want temp control or pour control as well?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cuisinart-CPK17U-Kettle-Brushed-Stainless/dp/B003UFQTYI is one i've seen.
http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/our-products/kettles-toasters/kettles/TWK8633GB.html?source=browse has some control
Yes - Amazon! Its under $10 for a set of two. Originally white, but I spray painted them gold to match our theme
Or, just have an ice bin. They're literally like 6 bucks and change and very useful in the summer months or if you entertain even once or twice a year. https://smile.amazon.com/InterDesign-Kitchen-Refrigerator-Freezer-Container/dp/B003WUXDJA/
I got them off Amazon a few years back, I believe the medium model of [this](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053ES352/ref=oh_aui_sear ch_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Spray painted them to match the Kallax and bent the legs a little with some wire pliers to make the fit less snug.
You could put them all into one big neat box? Alternatively, you could do what I did: line them up behind each other into a fridge drawer like this one or this one.
My family would add chopped green olives and smoked bacon to the filling.
Also, adding some ketchup to both the filling and the gravy rounds out the flavor quite nicely.
I am undecided if I prefer roux for the gravy, or whether I'd rather go for corn starch. I think, in the big picture, the roux overpowers the gravy a little bit and this is one of the cases, where corn starch actually makes for a more interesting gravy. But your preference could differ. I have seen both.
Oh, and as far as the Spaetzle are concerned, seeing you use the ready-made product makes my German soul writhe. Making Spaetzle batter is so super trivial. It takes almost no time over using the instant product, and it is so much tastier. You can mix it by hand in less than a minute.
I use a 1:1 blend of regular flour and fine-ground semolina flour (not the coarse-ground variety you usually see in most super markets). I add some salt and a good dash of evaporated milk. Then keep adding whole eggs until you get a thick batter. Whisk until smooth and slightly "creamy" looking. (note, you'll find different variations of this basic recipe online; this is just the one that I like).
Now comes the tricky part, if you are a purist, you use a cutting board and a knife to drop Spaetzle noodles into boiling water. If you are less nimble with your fingers, use a Spaetzle press instead. It looks just like a ricer, but it has bigger and irregular shaped openings.
Boil for a minute or two until Spaetzle float to the top. Drain and coat with melted butter and maybe a quick cheese sauce (parmesan cheese, evaporated milk, ...).

The problem with the second bullet is the size of the bump is too small and the mechanism gets clogged with coke and becomes pretty much unusable very quickly. Get the spoon one and you can get whatever size bump you want. If you want lines just dump a little bit out of the vial and boom you got powder on the table. The one i recommended should hold close to a full 8 ball, don’t know for sure because I’ve never tried to fill it up.
use the hanging clear bag to storage these "disposable" plastic bag for second use, saving money easily.
grocery plastic bag dispenser
Some live rosin I bought came in it, but I found these that seem almost identical.
I got myself one of these with some of my Christmas money--and not only is it really smell-proof, but it looks great, too! I highly recommend it for all the stoner girls out there. https://www.amazon.com/HarperLynn-Formline-Smell-Proof-Bag/dp/B07FYY3DCW
I ended up with a large fridge binz and liked it enough that I also ordered a small one. I moved the pitcher out of the fridge and just made sure I had some ice ready, so now I don't have condiments in the crisper. I also tried something that was supposed to be a wheel out caddy, but it was too short and didn't roll well.
How skinny exactly?

Expandable 9.5-16x15.25x2
Interlocking 2.25x10.25x1.75
Just a few different options.

You force special dough through the holes and then boil it. The dish is called Spätzle.
Look for "teapot drip catcher" or "teapot spout protector". My local tea shop has little clear ones, but this is the one I found with a quick search: https://www.amazon.com/Fox-Run-5124-Teapot-Protectors/dp/B001TMBVIS/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1549513537&sr=1-2&keywords=teapot+drip+catcher
If you are able/allowed, you could install pull out basket/"drawers". I use a coat closet for my pantry now and have a big lightweight plastic basket on the highest shelf storing seldom used paper good items. I also have some modular stacking basket shelf units because the coat closet only had the one upper shelf. (Like this, this, and this.)
I used to have a fixed pantry like yours though, and I mostly organized via baskets (see above), Rubbermaid dry storage, and things like this and this. Plastic bags and foil and stuff, I kept on a skinny laundry/pantry cart tucked in a weird nook in my kitchen. Now I keep those in a cabinet I don't have another use for.
I also have a few organizing basket things from IKEA, look online at their storage systems. Fixed pantries can be hard, get out your measuring tape and good luck!
I have something like this: Smart Design Kitchen Storage Shelf Rack w/ Scratch Resistant Feet - Medium - Steel - Rust Resistant Finish - for Cups, Dishes, Cabinet & Pantry Organization - Kitchen (13.25 x 6 Inch) [White] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0053ES352/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_H8RODb5DRCARH
I wish I had drawers like that. My house is so drawer deficient. I hate it. There aren't even any drawers in the bathrooms!
I have one of these but I feel like I need more space.
Nice, I've done something similar! I just put my microwave on top of the fridge, though. I have a door from my dining room to kitchen so I put one of these on one side and a coat rack on the other side for my pans, cast iron, and wok.
I would get one of these (any color) put it on the floor, and put pooches food in there

Maybe put your plastic containers in something like this?
https://www.amazon.com/Teyyvn-Plastic-Storage-Basket-10-03/dp/B0746FZL1F/ref=sr_1_9?
Get one of these and put labels on the different courses. It will make your freezer seem like a chef on demand. Sometimes I even forget what I have in there from a couple of months ago. Pleasant surprise.
I use this container which is also water proof, around $3-4
