This is my favorite: AKB KB4577 Purple and Orange Ergonomic Loom Knit Hook, 2 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WVWG3GL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_32D2DbDYBKZJ6 it does sound like you might be knitting a bit too tight though, as well. It took me some time to figure that out when I was learning, too.

I broke my plastic one :(

I'm not very good at being mean, just pretend I said something really horrid D:

Looks like maybe this one?

Honestly, the best I've seen (and used) in regards to durability have been DIY ones, often made with a nail and a pen, coat hangers, or by wrapping half of a pair of angled tweezers (parts generally found at thrift stores or dollar tree). You could also bend a latch hook to fit your needs ($1 at most thrift stores), or just use a dental pick (you can find them at Dollar tree).

I did buy some from Amazon that have worked well, though I'm not sure I would consider them particularly sturdy. Here they are if you're interested: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07KG3L8W4

Edit: in regards to how tight to pull the yarn, it's pretty loose. I use an old straw as a loom pen, otherwise I have the same issue. Keeps the tension just right, and makes the entire process easier on my hands and faster in general.

Round looms

Straight looms

You can remove the pegs to customize your gauge and they're inexpensive.

I do it when I feel anxious or during an anxiety attack, it doesnt completely alleviate it but it does lessen it a little. Also guided meditation, which is something cool.

Oh man, I have no idea. I bought them like 4 years ago. Lemme look.

Edit: these look right, though I didn't get all the extra stuff.

Edit 2: what do you hate about it?

If you know her house you can knit a hat/scarf! Even if you don't know how to knit, I can whip one up in a couple of hours with a knitting loom

I’m no artist, myself, so trust me when I say this is an easy one that anyone can pick up. I really like loom knitting (https://www.amazon.com/Readaeer-Round-Knitting-Needle-Pompom/dp/B0182IQHYE/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=3HNNRJXFGGPCU&keywords=loom+knitting+kit&qid=1554634727&s=gateway&sprefix=loom+knit&sr=8-1). You can make a ton of different stuff (lots of tutorials on YouTube, and books) and all you need is inexpensive yarn. Easy to find at Walmart or Michaels. I like it because it’s so soothing and repetitive.

Seconded! I'm a knitter and taught my kids to knit when they were young. There are a bunch of cute things you can make made out of plain rectangles or squares that are simple to knit plus very simple sewing - a bunny, fingerless gloves, robots, hats, monsters, tons of things.

Knitting looms (example) are another even easier way for kids to knit, my kids made hats with their grandma, both for themselves and for preemies for the hospital charity that she donates to.

Infinity knitting loom. Here it is!

Very easy, can't fuck it up. Takes longer than crochet but a great cheater!

Holy crap, what luck, huh??? You need some Me time, obviously.

How about taking up knitting? All you need is yarn and a loom or some needles, and from there just look up YouTube videos to figure out how it works.

There are free patterns on www.ravelry.com, too. Cheer up buttercup!
