I have this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Greenworks-PRO-80V-145-MPH/dp/B01N11IBJU/ref=sxin_3_ac_d_pm?ac_md=4-2-QWJvdmUgJDIwMA%3D%3D-ac_d_pm&keywords=electric+leaf+blower&pd_rd_i=B01N11IBJU&pd_rd_r=309a04c8-3171-4451-9b18-b69529885534&pd_rd_w=D12NK&pd_rd_wg=zU0pj&pf_rd_p=02e79b16-eab7-4369-852f-d04a58a4d9b5&pf_rd_r=1B7X77649GGR6ZNZ1RBY&psc=1&qid=1572525186

Promise you won't continue to have that problem with power/lasting.

Edit: I forgot to mention the best part of an electric leafblower. No emmisions means you can use it indoors. Its the best thing I've ever used for waking up my children. 100% success rate, plus they enjoy it... after a few seconds.

Buy one of those instead. Cheaper and work far better.

Greenworks Electric Blower - $30 @ AMZN

This is the first blower I've bought and it does the job. You'll need an extension cord to go along with it. The plug is located in the back of the handle and recessed, so make sure you don't have an angled outlet on your cord.

A couple tips:
-if you have any spare screen material, attach this to the intake to prevent sucking anything in (I sucked in a fly once and spewed fly bits all over my clean paint)
-tie the cord in a knot around the handle to prevent unplugging the extension cord

I’m a mechanical product designer and I was starting to sketch out what you’d need to do this. Great insight!

This has really already been solved already though, I think it’s a question of price. 5 seconds of amazon research shows that most leaf blowers are under $200 (ex: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FZ2JL2K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lErVDbNC0ZM4S )while one with a well tuned engine and a catalytic converter is about $500 (ex: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005C7GQKY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OCrVDb2D5W679 ). Not sure if the pricey one is harder on the environment than the electric one, probably a tossup and will depend on the supply chain.

I think what we need is an environmental score for stuff that people can trust and understand. This stuff gets complex and there isn’t a lot of transparency.

Its cool but the average weekend warrior doesn't really need this. Its a cool concept but you would honestly get everything this has with a cordless leaf blower while saving money. The portability is nice and the design (flared end) is probably the best part about it. I guess what it ultimately comes down to is can someone justify spending $280 on it (retail).

The speed of the Leaf blower below isnt the same and its less portable but its almost $200 less.

I found this one on Amazon.

I am now contemplating buying a goddamn leafblower to clean computers.

This bad boy on repeat is in my HEAVY rotation:
BELIEVE in BARBELL

And my favorite lifting power song is Closer by NIN... NSFW. Holy shit, that music video is soooooooo mid 90's NIN. Ha! Maybe you just had to be there....

Unexpected items for my garage gym. Ha! Here are a few things that provided me much more pleasure than I thought they would:

  • My wife made me buy a fan for our garage gym. I delayed and fought, then finally installed it. I use it every day!

  • This electric leaf blower is the shit. I love it. Hint: Buy it from Home Depot, not AMZ

  • Man, our EZ curl Axle is so much fun

  • I do NOT have this in my garage gym, but I installed an Assault Air Runner in our Fringe gym, and I use it a lot more than I thought I would (I am a trail runner by choice).

I'm fairly new, myself. I've driven clunkers most of my life. Spent about five years downtown where I didn't have a car. Now I'm back in suburbia, so I've got a brand new GTI, and it's the first one I've ever cared to take good care of. Here's what I started with:

u/lazarus_long_dong · 2 pointsr/gpumining

Power off. Go to a ventilated area. Secure all the fans with tape, blow them hard with something like this

https://www.amazon.com/Greenworks-24012-Single-Electric-Blower/dp/B0030BG1CC/

Remove the tape, check all the connector are inside the things. Plugin in, power on.

End.

Total time per rig, around 10 min or less.

Need suggestions for a blower

My job gave me a $50 gift cord a while back, so I'll be using that to help pay for it.

wait you are a professional groundskeeper and you are asking us advice?

First you need to get a business license .. depending on where you live it will be the city or county. where i live if i work in the county but go into town limits i need a town business license too. There are no checks except the one you write.. probably about $50-75

Next you go to a third party insurance agency and tell them you are doing lawncare and they will sell you 300k of liability insurance.. about $400 a year .. you are going to eventually weed wack or run over or do something to something and you need the insurance.. don't start your business without one you are not 14 years old .. and for small things you do it out of pocket.. hit their screened in veranda with your weed wacker .. you replace the screen.. put a pebble through their sliding glass door .. or hit their AC outside unit .. could be a couple thousand or a couple hundred who knows but you are going to need insurance.

Lawnmower, weedwacker, blower, chainsaw, bush trimmer .. you buy the cheapest ones you can find for your first set.. when you make enough you replace them but you keep your cheapass ones for backups.. you can't be without any of those basic tools.

Look for factory reconditioned .. poulan pro people blah about them but husqvarna makes poulan pro.. the only difference is that poulan pro tools are normally heavier but they are dam good tools for the price i have a green blower and green chainsaw as my secondary tools and they don't let me down if i get the choke right when i start them.. thats the only problem i have with them the chokes kinda blow then they can flood and you got to wait a bit.

Ebay AmazonWarehouse HomeDepot all sell recon versions but i think HD you have to order online and pickup .. or maybe special order desk can order.. you still get a warranty but you pay 30% off or more and basically get a new tool.

Mower you have to size for the property you are cutting and your ability to push it.. I have a small 30" rider mower and that normally lets me cut a small yard.. its a retirement community so the lots should be small .. corners i do have to do a lot of wacking i wouldn't with a push mower but in 3rd gear i can get the yard done in 20% of the time pushing would take.. i like craftsman rear engine riders they seem to be balanced right for my work. they are hard to find use but $500 on craigslist with a bagger isn't out of the ordinary vs $2500 for a zero turn generic pos that isn't really a commercial version mower... its not a big choice to make for me $500 and change the belts and you got a mower that will last a few years. Ive had mine about 7 years.

advertise by word of mouth .. if you are in a hoa community understand the rules before you go knocking on doors.. magnetic sign on your truck and a pay as you go cell phone for work not your home or they will know where you live.

Don't underprice yourself but give deals..

Straight Shaft Trimmer $120.. If it was AmazonWarehouse probably $90

https://www.amazon.com/Poulan-Pro-967105301-Powered-Straight/dp/B01N5OTFWY

Blower $75 from AmazonWarehouse

or a backpack for $150

small mower for small yards

If it had a bagger and was a 13hp i would snatch that up but

Yeah, all the rest of the crap in that URL is tracking info. Might as well make all of us click on banner ads while you’re at it!

I’ve always just used this style of URL: www.amazon.com/dp/B01N11IBJU , but your way is nice too.

DeWalt makes a tiny blower that seems perfect for the job.. I planned on picking one up if I ever catch it on sale. Amazon link

u/T42Rush · 1 pointr/lawncare

I got #15 last year: "Greenworks PRO 21-Inch 80V Cordless Lawn Mower, 4.0 AH Battery Included GLM801602"

also a "Greenworks BPB80L00 80V 145MPH - 580CFM Cordless Backpack Blower, Battery and Charger Not Included" https://www.amazon.com/Greenworks-PRO-80V-145-MPH/dp/B01ID88L6A (which defiantly requires the bigger 4ah battery)

I'm very happy with them, the battery alone can cost $200(so nearly half the cost of the mower or other tools) but now the other tools using the same battery are very affordable; so thats an advantage in the long run to the battery eMower systems if you plan on getting other new lawn tools

My top five purchases for the travel trailer beyond the basic requirements.

  1. [Harbor freight trailer tool box] (https://www.harborfreight.com/2-34-cu-ft-steel-trailer-tongue-box-60302.html) mounted on the rear bumper for campfire tools

  2. [Camco black tank flush] (https://www.amazon.com/Camco-40126-Tornado-Rotary-Rinser/dp/B000BUU5TU/)

  3. [Makita 18 volt leaf blower] (https://www.amazon.com/Makita-DUB183Z-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Blower/dp/B00QDTGFCY) and drill.
The leaf blower is great for cleaning up around camp and also helping feed the fire.
The drill is useful for driving down the stabilizers and an repair tool.

  4. [BAL single tire chock] (https://www.amazon.com/BAL-Single-R-V-Products-Group/dp/B01LW2F1G6/)
Super awesome since it clamps the tire it eliminates all the tire wiggle.

  5. Adding a truck stereo with backup camera.
This ended all the issues with hitching the trailer. I basically do it on my own now only having to get out and look maybe once.

u/TopDawg1776 · 1 pointr/AutoDetailing

I use this Makita 18V blower to dry my truck and then come back with towels, makes drying wheels a breeze.

I use this cheap one from amazon, works good for the price

u/rr_power_granger · 1 pointr/roasting

Hi all, my goal is to construct a fluid bed roaster capable of roasting a half-pound of coffee per go.

For the motor, I'm looking at this electric leaf blower, and for the heating element, I'm looking to dissect this heat gun.

I'll use a pyrex baking tube, and a cocktail shaker to cap it off at the base. And then some machining magic to couple it to the mounting pipe.

Does it seem like this will get hot enough to roast a 1/2 pound?

I'm trying to upgrade from my current popper setup which can roast a max of 60 grams at a time (and that's with me constantly agitating with a shish kabob stick).

Edit: One possible improvement could be increasing the wattage of the heater to 2000W. Does anyone have a recommendation for a really cheap blower (or just the element itself)? Or would this water heater element work?

If I reclaim the air from the exhaust back into the pump, would this allow a 1500W heater to work?

u/runningoutofwords · 1 pointr/funny
u/yoda_33 · 1 pointr/AutoDetailing

Thanks for the advice.

I plan on getting 3 buckets tonight and getting a blower, there's one on Amazon, for $25 but I'll check home depot first, maybe Costco as well.

There's a Costco nearby, I did a google search, there these right?

> Also, if you really want to care for your car, take into account how much time you will be spending on this. If you are just getting into it and don't mind spending hours a week (or month if you are slightly less OCD) pampering your car, you may want to seriously consider getting the work done by a professional. Many of them can be mobile, or will pickup and deliver to your work. Something to consider.
>

I have no problem washing it myself, it feels like I'm suppose to be looking after my car. I'm thinking about washing it once per week. There's a good feeling, that I'm getting, who knows this might be a new hobby for me.

u/L3-D · 0 pointsr/landscaping

Personally, the gas backpack variety like Echo's are well worth the money and noise for how much easier it is to blow heavy leaves.

But if you are only doing light leaf blowing, I would recommend the Husqvarna brand

If you just have some light dust, or you only need it a couple of times a year, Greenworks brand isn't terrible.

Remember that your batteries will likely only last a year or two, while a corded blower may last you a decade if used seldom and taken care of well. So if you are only going to use it twice a year, you will have to ask if it would be easier to hire someone than buy a battery operated blower that you will only use 4 times before the battery goes out.

Maybe I'm just a bit too picky for homeowner use.
