Something Like Summer by Jay Bell. While it does start in high school, the book then jumps forward over the span of 12 years to tell the story of two guys with a very complicated relationship. The books that follow are then the same story, but told/elaborated more by other characters. I'm starting the second one and it's overall a very enjoyable series.

I've been reading a lot this past week, after some time mostly doing other things...

Lair for Rent by Skyler Grant. Not bad, read if you want more in the Laboratory/Emma-verse.

Mastermind by Steve Kelliher. Great first litterpug, made me add his fantasy series to my backlog of books to read.

Hell's Ascendant by Benjamin Medrano. Great finish to another trilogy. Not litterpug, though Sting and Song qualifies. I recommend reading all of his books.

Orc Pirate by Simon Archer. Not litterpug, read it because I enjoyed Forger of Worlds. Enjoyable, though it is a harem power fantasy.

Tree Guardian by Andrew Karevik. Pretty good, second dungeon core novel following a seed of Yggdrasil.

Skyflare by Aaron Oster. Finally got around to this, it's alright, third book in the Supermage series.

Buryoku by Aaron Oster. Enjoyable cultivation novel, first in a new series. We'll see how it goes.

Manifest by Cody Whitfill. Very enjoyable, some interesting differences from similar novels. Looking forward to the next book.

Last but not least, I'm currently reading Gamer for Love by Daniel Schinhofen. A couple of the Alpha World books were not that enjoyable for me, but it seems like he's back on track and finishing off the series well with this one. I'm glad to see another series end.

I'd like to add the works of Benjamin Mandrano to that list:

• Ancient Dreams is a Dungeon Core series with an interesting twist (and heads and shoulders above the other Dungeon Core works out there)
  
• Born a Queen and Down with the Queen are superhero novels about Lilith, the originally spare body of a notorious supervillain now conscious
  
  Also, I see you have A Thousand Li by Tao Wong, but it seems you forgot his System Apocalypse series! It's an awesome lit-rpg series about what happens when everyone on Earth gets a video-game-like Interface, full with stats, classes, and skills - and then monsters keep spawning everywhere.

There is a fine line between the fictional portrayal of a nerd dialed up to 11 and the fictional portrayal of an autistic person. Not sure if the realities are all that similar, but when filtered through a story they kinda are. Also, you have lots of magical retarded people in fiction. (Sorry if that comes out offensive...but that's the best way to describe them. They are rarely described well enough for it to be clear eactly what is different about them.)
So, if you are OK with characters that read as autistic but aren't explicitly that broadens it.

The webnovel The Salamanders has a main character that reads as borderline autistic. Late in the series it's hinted another character wonders if he is as idiot-savant. (It's a fantasy world without the concept of autism)
In A Turn of Light by Julia Czernedas there are two retarded/autistic/brain damaged (It's unclear) people who are more in-tune with the magic of the valley. That sort of thing is common.
Not fantasy, but the cyborg construct protagonist of The Murderbot Archives reads as vaguely autistic. (And I met an autistic person who agreed.)
In the specialized Mpreg Gay Romance Building A Family: An Mpreg Romance (Frat Boys Baby Book 2) there was an odd take on the Cinderella story...a love story between a rich architect who read as autistic to me and a poor landscaper. I mention this one because oddly it is one of the better portrayals, and an interesting twist on the power dynamics of Cinderella stories.
Gate of Darkness, Circle of Light by Tanya Huff had another one of those magical retarded people.


EDIT: Oooh, Just realized the recent book One Word Kill has a character that is clearly supposed to be autistic.

I've recently finished Juliana & overall, plot was excellent. It is based on being gay in the 1940's. The language is a bit odd/old fashioned (Jeepers, Gosh etc.) but considering the fact it's set in the 1940's, you can't complain!

After reading the comment section on Amazon, I am convinced that this not exactly a mockery of ISIS as it is a love story during war.
