i'd recommend a boonie hat. they're sold at military surplus stores or amazon

they're foldable as well, but they also keep the sun off your ears and back of your neck - 2 spots that people often forget about when spending a lot of time outdoors

edit: if it's hot where you live, go for a lighter color - a black hat will soak up too much sun and cook the hell out of your scalp

I hear you, my friend (literally). I've been embarrassed in meetings, movie theaters, etc... It really fuckin sucks!

I've found something that works pretty well for me. I use a belly binder type wrap. Here's a link to one on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/NYOrtho-Abdominal-Binder-Lower-Support/dp/B005DLKZYW/ref=pd_sbs_121_4/134-0255472-6346175?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B005DLKZYW&pd_rd_r=861b2646-5a6a-11e9-82db-0735d972cccc&pd_rd_w=LrnKg&pd_rd_wg=qhGnl&pf_rd_p=588939de-d3f8-42f1-a3d8-d556eae5797d&pf_rd_r=MQ91ABCBTWTMZ9F9R086&refRID=MQ91ABCBTWTMZ9F9R086&th=1

I know, there's no hole to feed your bag through, but that's what makes it work. You just wrap it around and it puts some pressure on your stoma and stifles the sound quite a bit. Also, it seems to make it so I can feel a toot coming on sooner, so I can hold my hand over it, which pretty much makes it silent. I haven't had a problem passing stool into my bag while I'm wearing the wrap. It just expands as my bag fills up. I have both an 8 inch wide one and a 12 inch one. I like the 12 inch size better because the 8 inch one often slips below my stoma. One problem I have had though is if my output is extra runny, and I let my bag get too full, it has forced a bit to leak through the vent in my bag.

Another thing is this item I've seen on line. It's called the "Stoma Stifler." I haven't tried it, but my ostomy nurse told me that it works pretty well for many of her patients. Here's a link:

Good luck.

I'm only 5'8", but also experienced back pain until I started using a cheap Lumbar Support adaptor with it.

Loads of people in my office use these:

No idea what it's like in the US, but in the UK if you say you have back pains from sitting they have to buy things like this for you until you find something that works. Worth telling your employer.

Fixed mine with one of these things on my chair: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMOS-Support-Elasticated-Positioning-Lumbar/dp/B006304UVQ

Might not work for you if your pain is not caused by spending a lot of time sitting.

I throw my back out every couple of years and I have found these back traction devices helpful to decompress things and let them pop back in place. https://www.amazon.com/Stretcher-Recommended--Multi-level-Orthopedic-Stretching/dp/B00GRBIP6W/ref=sr_1_7_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1468953013&sr=8-7&keywords=back+pain+relief+products

You may want to wear a back brace in the park. Most rides will be fine but stay out of the last car on Space Mt its brutal on your lower back, and Thunder Mt is a bit rough in places too. I don't remember having issues with any other rides. They either support your back or are not very jarring.

I personally use one of these for the car: SimplePosture Lower Back Pain Relief Lumbar Support Pillow/Cushion https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N302XUY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_oi1myb85XQJQP

J'en ai essayé plusieurs et celui-ci était de loin de meilleur.

Je ne le trouve pas sur Amazon.fr par contre. Peut-être que celui-ci s'en rapproche si tu ne peux pas commander d'Allemagne.

Get yourself one of these it stays cool and really helps the lower back. I got mine at bed bath and Beyyyyyyyond.

> For me one of the big motivators was that my chair was pushing my shoulders forward. It wasn't the typing causing forward rounded shoulders, my chair's concave back rest actually put me into that position. I probably could have fixed it with a pillow or a better chair, but I also wanted to stand.

In case anyone is curious about the pillow route, I bought an upside-down T-shaped pillow like this one for my cheap/generic office chair. It forces my shoulders back when sitting in a slightly reclined position and keeps my back straight. Overall it's helped quite a bit with my posture and back pain.

Not far enough for me ;) I'm all legs LOL. I'll get it worked out I'm sure. Gonna pick up some foam on my way home from work today and give that a shot. I also found this on Amazon that's only $30 and might be just the ticket.

Not a permanent solution, but for the chair issue:

I also don't have the cash flow for a good chair, but you can get those extra back support placements for a chair. I have one in my car that I got for less than $2.00 (US) and it helps me to sit up straighter and eases some of the pain. Here's an example: check it out!

Ah okay, think I kinda getcha now. Yeah a harness akin to a shoulder holster should be able to offer some support. Far as that goes, so would some suspenders under the rest of the attire with a back strap for increased tension.

Run a strap (maybe two if given the weight) up your arm to attach to the strap going over your shoulder and I'd think that'd do you fine.

EDIT: Dunno if you can fit it under your clothes, but maybe something like this also? http://www.amazon.com/Suspenders-Support-Bodybuilding-Lifting-Training/dp/B008QXOYVE

In addition to just generally helping me feel more “held together,” coughing and laughing, etc... are painful after any abdominal surgery. Holding a pillow across your midsection can help, but so does a binder.

The postpartum nurses brought me one and helped me put it on after my C-Section. It helped me be up and walking laps around the ward as soon as the anesthesia wore off completely. I was told the more I walked, the faster I would recover. Not sure what the data is on that, but I did recover pretty quickly, especially considering it was an unplanned surgery after a multi-day induction.

I have no idea who makes the binder they gave me in the hospital, but it is a giant white Velcro wrap that looks like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005DLKEDE/

Also, off topic but when you are in the postpartum ward, have the nurses show you how to get in and out of bed easily. No one showed me until my last day and it made a huge difference. I’m not sure how to describe it, but I’ll try: If you face the back of the bed (when it’s sitting up) and put your knee up and grab the side rails, and then turn to sit in bed, it is way easier. Sorry if that’s confusing! Hopefully a nurse can show you.

Hope your surgery and recovery goes smoothly!
