I feel like this is one of those times where it's just easier to buy them premade.

Here's some on Amazon! Here are some in a more letter-friendly size, and here are some sparkly ones. Additionally, I suggest putting some gold glitter on and/or inside the envelope... for that extra wow factor ;)

Edit: Found some extremely gaudy gold foil envelopes too, though they're pricier.

Price drop on envelopes. 500 for $12.99. I usually pay $14.99. And these have strip n seal (the $14.99 ones don't), making the process quicker. https://www.amazon.com/Top-Flight-PSTF10NWT-Envelopes-Security/dp/B0186D2JGK/

For my Vote Forward folks. :)

If you can do it, buy your boxes and mailers in bulk. Stockboxes.net is where I buy all my shipping supplies. It is about 1/2 the cost of ULine, and the quality is still acceptable.

I use poly mailers anytime something is under 13oz so it can be shipped USPS first class.

I also use shippingeasy.com to keep everything in one place. That drastically increased my efficiency.

A scale is an absolute must since they don't cost much, and save you a ton of money in the long run.

Buy these (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BLHYETE/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) in bulk if you can, and print your own labels from your printer.

You could probably get away with a file folder / envelope of paperwork pretty easily.

Something like this:

Clasp Envelope

You can buy something similar to that one at a time @ the post office by the way. You don't have to buy a whole package of them.

You might have to fold it to get it into your storage container @ boot camp though.
We put everything into a grocery-store sized paper bag with our name on it when I went in back in 1990.

Mailing Envelope

If you can fold and fit everything into one or two mailing envelopes, I guarantee you'll be good to go.

You could ask your bank about a safety deposit box as recommended by /u/roguevirus

You might also consider one of those storage rental places, if you want to store clothes and things to come back and collect later.
Minor warning: later might be a while, like a year until you go to your first duty station before you can pull your box of sneakers, jeans and memories out of storage.

Like you I found the plano for monsters was a hassle. I went with 6 X 6 Square Envelopes worked great to hold monster card, monster standee, and monster modifier cards. Write the name of the monster on the top of the envelope and alphabetize them in a box. Makes setup so much faster.

I just got these in today and I am SO excited about how they turned out! I was able to make the entire suite for 80 invitations right under $100. The picture doesn't do the pearl finish justice... it's a beautiful subtle sparkle!

Originally, I'd had to swallow that these would inevitably cost over $350 because we needed an English and Spanish set, which is not friendly to quantity based ordering. I also wanted shimmer pearl cardstock, which requires a laser printer. Not to mention, all of the paper cutting and pricing just printing these at FedEx was like $80. Then... I found inspiration on Etsy, and found out that my job's copy center offers printing just for the cost of ink, which is like 10 center per page for color!

Moral of the story.... Check and see if work offers high quality printing for just their cost of goods :)

Details:

  • Etsy Purple Wedding Invitation Set - $8 on a 50% off sale. I also bought the menu (for a bar menu) and matching sign templates.
  • 92 lb Shimmer Cardstock - $56, got a 100 pk and a 25 pk.
  • A7 80 lb Envelopes in Purple - $25 for two 50 pks
  • Printing AND cutting at work - $12

The envelopes would've been less had I chosen to not go peel and press... I just wanted that little luxury!

I'm also using a personal printer and a Microsoft Word template to print the addressing on my invites. I couldn't find a site to do 80 for under $100 :( But, on the bright side, it really wasn't that bad to DIY it once I figured out Word's intricacies.

We're also not sending RSVP cards (requesting the RSVP online) in the spirit of being both cost effective and environmentally friendly. I am sending recipe cards that I hope that guests bring to the reception for our guestbook! I'll also be printing extras of those, which might require another paper buy. I need to see what all I have left.

That's the official account! The envelopes are just regular #4 coin envelopes. You can find them on amazon or other office supplies places.

Looks like the invitations themselves went up in price, but this is what I got:

For the info insert, I used printable postcards I snagged at the thrift store. Good luck!

I use these envelopes that I coordinate their color with the corresponding class in Canvas. It’s worked great for me to keep all the various articles and readings I have to do organized.

Let me just say you're so awesome for doing this! If you're still doing this, could you please get me these little envelopes? If yes, I'll PM you my address. Thanks a lot! and hugs! - https://www.amazon.fr/Petites-Enveloppes-Marron-salaire-Pi%C3%A8ces/dp/B01EX618E8/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1482486928&sr=8-14&keywords=enveloppe+argent

I would just use baggies, but if you want to get all fancy shmancy, you could try these.
