Welp, here's a bunch more stuff. That pretty much exhausts my useful Amazon purchasing history, the rest being media (books, music, movies, TV shows), health 'n' beauty type stuff that wouldn't be applicable to 99% of other folks, or items that are some combination of "not listed anymore" and "shit I wouldn't recommend."
FYI these are the EXACT same thing, just without the MOFI logo.

You'd better invest in some record outer sleeves.
Since you don't seem to be using those, this is a good time to suggest that you also invest in antistatic inner sleeves.
For outer sleeves I use these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1UML82/
For LP sleeves I really use whatever, my local stores carry 50 packs for like five bucks and I figure as long as it isn't just paper it's all the same. BUT I do like these that I happened to pick up once: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071X9V53C/
If you are mostly interested in clearing room, you might as well recycle the cases and store the discs in a more compact manor, using [a case like this] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DIHVMEA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VzNdzbDKRS4K7).
Physical media isn't much of an "investment", because it's generally so cheap and easy to buy new. Since your collection sounds a bit niche/obscure, it might have some items that are less common and more sought after/valuable, but that also means there's a smaller audience for it. Might be better off selling them online if you're concerned about how much you'll get for them, even though that's not the quick and easy way.

Buying a carbon fiber brush along with inner sleeves entirely changed the game for me. I'm really happy with these sleeves for the price... Taguchi Round LP Inner Sleeves
I just slip them in the paper sleeves that come with the record.
I have a few suggestions.
Make the stuff the responsibility of the person who wants it. Their job to deal with them, and they must store them in their own space. This might change their minds about how important the stuff is, but even if it doesn't, the stuff is dealt with.
Sound and video discs can take up a fraction of the space if you take them out of their plastic cases and store them in a binder like this. I took my CD music library from a wall shelf down into two of those binders. It was amazing.
Digitizing the music/video takes the least space of all, and 1 TB external hard drives are now about $60. The major "expense" is time in ripping the files. Again that should also be the responsibility of the person who wants to keep it.
If that's an issue you have been having, can't recommend these sleeves enough. Used to have the same problems but never with these, to the point that a few months ago I got three of these packs to resleeve everything I had in them.

Record outer sleeves
I literally googled "plastic record jacket":
https://www.amazon.com/100-Record-Outer-Sleeves-Polyethylene/dp/B000RA7IZS
If you want to preserve the covers, then yes, you should use plastic sleeves.
I've ordered [these] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RA7IZS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) outer sleeves.
For outers I don't think I will ever turn away from these 4mil polyethylene from Square Deal Recordings. The only issue is if you are into having the sealable flap thing, but I prefer this open style.
For inners I haven't been using these for as long, but I'm pretty happy with these rounded ones from Taguchi. They seem to be doing a good job at holding off static (my main concern), and so far they seem sturdy enough despite being really thin. They are definitely not for everyone, but with the rounded edge and the thinness of them, they slide easily into my existing sleeves. Only issue is that they still stick out maybe a centimeter past the paper sleeve, but honestly, I don't mind it at all. Mofi type sleeves look nicer, but these are way cheaper and are doing the job, so I'm happy.
I use these.
It's worked really well for me the last couple of years. They make smaller sizes as well.
I use the AmazonBasics CD Wallet. It holds all of the tiles that are up to 4x4, for all of the expansions, with room to spare. Then I just put the tiles that are longer than 4 spaces in a Ziploc bag, separated by expansion.
US Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Oculus-Quest-Travel-Case-Machine-Specific/dp/B07Q1JH58V/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=Travel+Case+for+Oculus+Quest&qid=1556646793&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull
I don't know about deals, but I highly recommend the ones from Sleeve City.
The ones I linked are the thickest ones, but there are a couple of other options as well. Watch the little video about the differences. I like them because the fit both single and double LPs, seem durable, and the plastic doesn't fog.
They are also on Amazon for a few more dollars. I haven't ordered directly from Sleeve City, so you can calculate whether it's worth it depending on shipping or if you have prime.
I've also used these, and while overall they're fine and also fit double LPs, I don't like them as much because I've split some sides trying to get the records in.

DIY set I saw on Reddit
2.5mil outer sleeves (sleevecity via amazon) Work great. Enough space for gatefolds, even the stupid thick ones that seem to be the rage right now.

MOFI Original Master Sleeves These are by far the best inner sleeves I've come across.

I actually put my records back in the jacket and take them out when i want to play them. Something I like about the experience.
That's an easy way for them to get dusty or damaged. Just buy a disc case like this one and sort them in alphabetical order.
It would probably be better to get a travel case
https://www.amazon.com/100-Record-Outer-Sleeves-Polyethylene/dp/B000RA7IZS something like that, don't have the exact sames ones because they were a gift. Just Google vinyl plastic sleeves or something like that, they are very cheap.
Amazon!
I'm right there with you. I honestly expected a bit more protection out of the sleeves (cloudy 3mm stuff), but the water seems to have come right in through the outside seams of each sleeve.. Looking at the result, they were about as effective as wrapping each record in paper towel.
I realize now that I cheaped out on the ones I have (I was fooled by the positive reviews), but if I knew that some other sleeves would definitely have kept water and moisture out it'd have definitely justified the cost of better ones.
Nothing truly one of a kind was lost, just many expensive records in brand new and immaculate condition. I can buy most of them back at 3-4 times the cost I'd originally payed for them, but there's just so much money down the drain in that direction that it's not really reasonable.
I went through this last year. I ended up following a KonMari-style method: a combination of keeping what made me happy and finding the best way to keep it organized.
Here's what I did:
Hope this helps.

(100) 12" Record Outer Sleeves - High Clarity - Industry Standard 3mil Thick Polyethylene - 12-3/4" x 12-1/2" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RA7IZS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_U9JIDbMC6EZEW
These are the ones I use - just for the stuff that’s worth $40+ or was super difficult to find. They’re roomy for larger gate folds, but serviceable and protect the vinyl we’ll.
You're correct! There are both inner and outer sleeves. The outer sleeve protects the record jacket itself, and the inner sleeves protect the record from damage while it sits inside the jacket. Here are examples of each found on Amazon:
Inner Sleeves: https://www.amazon.com/Mobile-Fidelity-Record-Inner-Sleeves/dp/B001LQSFKY
Outer Sleeves: https://www.amazon.com/100-Record-Outer-Sleeves-Polyethylene/dp/B000RA7IZS/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1487517064&sr=1-2&keywords=outer+sleeves
There are plenty of threads on this sub with discussion about this if you need more information about protecting the records! I'm really sorry about your loss and I think it's great your trying to preserve his valuables.
I have purchased these several times. I like them a lot and they have been the most consistent dimension wise.
A record shop I frequent uses these, which are exceptionally sturdy and accommodate most gatefolds with no issue.
For singles, I use these. They are not as sturdy but accomodate singles just fine.
That's a great start to your collection, glad you're onboard.
There's a condition called shelfwear that will cause your records to develop a circular pattern on the sleeve if you don't add any protection. It's especially visible on sleeves that are black or white. Invest in some sleeve protectors to keep your records looking nice and new.
Vinyl inside of anti-static sleeve like these - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055J0CRC/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Inside of an outer sleeve like these - http://www.amazon.com/100-Record-Outer-Sleeves-Polyethylene/dp/B000RA7IZS/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1383229064&sr=1-1&keywords=vinyl+sleeve
Cut a 12 inch square piece of cardboard to go behind the vinyl inner sleeve but still inside the outer sleeve.
That's what i do anyway. Keeps it's shape and fits right in with the rest on the shelf.

For cards - clear bondage tape. It's the same plastic cling film as the commercial product Hugo's Amazing Tape, but cheaper.
65' x 2"
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LV4XJ4S/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For box bands / enclosures - non-latex bands. Won't deteriorate like rubber, shouldn't mar or discolor boxes over time.

For shelf boxes of certain dimensions and smaller (e.g. alea bookshelf, or Power Grid size longboxes), 12" record sleeves provide a barrier to shelfwear, and can be gusseted and taped to conform and protect the box.

(100) 12" Record Outer Sleeves -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001716LMM?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I really like these. They are thicker than anyting I've seen at record stores and they don't go way past the record like some of the cheap ones. They also fit single record and gatefold jackets as well. Now tell us the record.
I’ve been thinking the same thing haha... I browsed these on Amazon but I don’t have it yet so I’m not sure if the dimensions will work. Check it out though!

Thanks! The media shelves are bought from amazon
Here you go! The only complaint I have with them is that the vertical pieces are big enough to hide a blu ray behind them. I had to cut apart the extra shelves to make spacers
Thank you!
The two smaller units on the right are $20 media shelves from Wal-Mart. I can't remember exactly who makes the larger one, but I'm pretty sure I got it from Amazon...I'll see if I can find a link for you. It's definitely worth whatever I paid for it.
Edit: I'm almost certain that this is the one. Looks like they've got different sizes as well
Base shelf is this. Everything else is heavy customization.
I also just found this right now if you want to go bigger.
Amiibo are roughly 2/3 the height of a CD case, so any shelving designed for holding CDs usually holds amiibo pretty good.

the shelves are fine but there are models out there that aren't so deep and the height of each section better fits a dvd sized case. check out the prepac models... really good fit with adjustable shelving in case you collect for other retro consoles.

Thanks! Got the shelf from Amazon Prepac Triple Width Wall Storage Cabinet, Cherry and Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KW0BM4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LzPQAbDGMSFHZ
If you want to remain in that space there, I would recommend one of these two (the OSKAR stuff is a bit of a pain but the price and depth are good).
If you want to maintain your current depth, you can search for 3-tier or 4-tier bookcases on Amazon or wherever. If you want something a little larger and nicer, I would recommend these shelves - the depth is awesome for games but there is not a ton of room on the top for your other stuff.
I would also recommend some of these sweet end labels for your N64 games! - https://www.etsy.com/listing/196193603/nintendo-n64-cartridge-spine-top-end?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=n64%20labels&ref=sr_gallery-1-2
I really love these - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KW0BM4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
20-30 from any one store is almost guaranteed a "no". We need some of them for marketing and displays, and spare cases for 3ds games that get traded without cases. I also give some to people when they buy a game if they ask for a case, or if people are reasonable. But I wouldn't be able to give as many as you are talking about.
If you don't care what the actual cover art is (assuming you just want the case and will toss the art), if you catch it right after a big trade you may have better luck.
We can't sell our cases. Don't know what price you'd be aiming for, but you could always try amazon for something like this if you can't get enough from the stores.

Most recently I bought these . The ones I bought before are these round bottom sleeves. Both are pretty much the same. The square ones are a little thicker of a material than the round bottom ones. But not enough to make a difference. Just a different feel. Keep your records safe bois.
Sorry if the formatting sucks, I’m on mobile
I got some of these.
I like them, they seem much safer than the paper ones. There's no resistance when I pull the LP's out, they just kinda glide, whereas just the paper sleeves seem to add some resistance which I'm guessing over time would scratch up the disk. The Mobile Fidelity brand inner sleeves seem to be the best, but the ones I got are cheaper and I don't think too that far off.
I use these
I had some of the smaller ones and my copy of Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique would not fit no matter how hard I tried because it is a double gatefold (even though it is only one LP). It fits in one of the ones in the link above.
You'll want to clean your records with something like a Spin Clean or a cheaper clone. Then you'll probably want to upgrade the inner sleeves if they come in paper ones. And you'll need outer sleeves for those purchases that don't come with one. Then a carbon fiber brush would be great for getting any surface dust off before spinning a record. And occasionally you'll want to wipe any debris off your stylus with either a stylus brush or use a Magic Eraser. Speaking of the stylus, you should double-check the tracking force with a scale.
For storage, maybe just an IKEA Kallax will do.
[Map tile storage](AmazonBasics Nylon CD/DVD Wallet (128 Capacity) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DIHVM36/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_5GHHybPRNJ1BF). Holds everything that has come out with a little room to spare. I keep my biggest tiles (5 or more spaces wide) separate from this in the tackle box.
[Everything but the large figures and map tiles](Plano Angled Tackle System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006PKXVAA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_WIHHyb258HRW6). I used pluck foam in each of the areas where I have painted figures to keep them from moving around. Bantha rancor and AT-STs don't fit but I used pluck foam to make an insert in my large core box to hold the large figures.
[Pluck foam](Pelican 1301 Replacement 4 Piece Pick N Pluck Foam Set for 1300 Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000172ZD2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_mLHHyb0TX1640). Used this stuff to line my figures in the tackle box and create an insert for the core box. Might be worth getting two sets to have extra plucked foam for minis in the tackle box. If they're unpainted you should be fine to do without though.
I can post pictures when I get home. I don't have everything from Jabba's realm in there yet and I haven't made the rancor insert yet but it definitely will fit.
I use a large cd case. Most will fit in the cd slots. The massive tiles go in a bag that I slide in the back of the cd case. With all the expansions, I'm about 3/4 of the way full. I use this: AmazonBasics Nylon CD/DVD Wallet (128 Capacity) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DIHVM36/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_mueyxbF5K6DEK
Do you own everything?
I use the Plano tackle box, DVD case, and Card binder storage solution and it works really well.
so another user posted this except for he linked the wrong storage box. Ill link the storage box that would work for it all. If you paint minis then i would suggest possibly felt/foam lining the plano storage boxes. This really is a great way to store the game.
Pie in the sky way to store everything: For map tiles: AmazonBasics Nylon CD/DVD Wallet (128 Capacity) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DIHVM36/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_xF79DSJicfLBu
For command cards/character and imperial decks: BCW PRO 16-POCKET PAGE - TOPLOAD - (20 CT. PACK) FOR X-WING AND ARMADA UPGRADES https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018OM5MGC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_jcKHoZQcRucSk
For agenda cards and mission cards: Ultra Pro 25/9 Pocket Page Protectors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HIOVOG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_UjgMybSN3F7RS
Putting them in a binder lets you more easily find a specific card they fit in these sheets even with card sleeves. I bought a nice binder that has slip sleeves in it so that I can store all the rules and skirmish/mission pamphlets along with the sleeved card sheets. The CD case holds any tile 4 spaces wide I keep the larger tiles separate and was able to fit every expansion in the CD case.
For the minis and everything else: Plano Angled Tackle System 732 https://www.amazon.com/Plano-732-Extreme-Tackle-System/dp/B009JG53S0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1490804922&sr=8-2&keywords=plano+732
I'd still take the physical copies with you if you can.
Grab a CD binder and throw the disks and covers in there, and forget about the plastic clamshell cases for now. Those are cheap to buy later anyway.
If you don't already know how to rip DVDs, perhaps a simpler method of a DVD binder:
http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Nylon-CD-DVD-Binder/dp/B00DIHVMEA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398887816&sr=8-1&keywords=dvd+binder
They take much less space than the Jewel cases and you can still play the videos on the TV without tying up your laptop.
Otherwise, look here: http://lifehacker.com/380702/five-best-dvd-ripping-tools
once you've ripped the videos you can store them on a microSD card and play them on most android tablets.
I kept the discs as a backup, but I moved them all to an album.
You could just get a traditional CD case (like this) and just keep your albums up for display?
It's hard to say without knowing how much data you want to back up and what kind, but here it goes.
RAID is not backup, it's a stopgap measure for a very specific type of hardware failures. It's in the same class with surge suppressors.
If you want backup:
The intervals given here are just a suggestion. Think about it like this: if all other backups are lost (mechanical failure, theft, fire, hurricane etc.), how recent do you want the surviving backup to be?
Optical discs are the single most reliable and most cheap form of backup for home use. They can take shocks and survive moves a lot better than mechanical HDDs. To put things in perspective: I'm currently copying data back to my NAS, from backup DVDs stored as described above, going back to 2000. I'm about 1/3 through ~500 discs and so far not a single failure.
Amazon has one, and they deliver.
Edit: if you have prime you’ll get it in 2 days.
The reasons that show homes look great is that they're very minimalistic compared to a normal home. There's no daily clutter. And that shit just ain't happening around here.
Purging unnecessary stuff did help me a lot (we also had to downsize to a much smaller space so we had had no choice).
Small ideas that may help free up space: rid yourself of physical media. We went from seven bookshelves to two. I cried. A huge part of my identity was tied to being a reader. I liked being surrounded by my "conquests" and the knowledge contained therein. I got over it by realizing that getting rid of the books doesn't erase the fact that I've read them. We only kept what was most treasured, and I consoled myself by the fact that if I felt like I made a mistake sometime in the future I could always buy another copy. It's been four years and I've only just now asked for a replacement as a Christmas gift (the Anne of Green Gables series).
I did the same for my massive DVD collection. My first longtime boyfriend and I would go to Best Buy on "dates" and buy each other movies. Even after we broke up I carried on the tradition of buying almost every movie that caught my fancy. Now with all the streaming services and cable I hardly ever watched a physical copy. I sold my DVD collection except for a few favorites. I've replaced only my Indiana Jones box set. If you don't want to get rid of things, consider getting a big disc binder. My SIL just did this (she's a huge movie hoarder- this girl still has a VHS player and tapes). She trimmed the cover pictures down to size and recycled the rest of the packaging.
For my cds, I ripped all of those to my laptop and sold the real copies. I will burn a cd if I get a hair in my butt and want to listen to it in the car.
A big issue in my home was clothes. Specifically, my husband's. He was a passive/lazy hoarder when I first met him. Had no problems living in domestic squalor. Clothes were all over his bedroom floor, in his dresser, in his bedroom closet and in the TWO other bedroom closets. He was the characterture bachelor who would buy more socks instead of doing laundry. Plus, his dad would always buy him a shirt from everywhere dad traveled, so he had like 30 shirts he never wore but felt guilty about getting rid of (those shirts actually made the big move with us. Finally donated them after trying on each one and taking a photo of the front and back). Anyway, I got so frustrated with all of these unnecessary clothes that I forced him to basically put on a fashion show. Anything that he didn't like or didn't fit correctly got put into a donation bag. I made sure his front-pleated khakis went into the bag also lol.
My own clothes are hard to give up because I don't have a lot of nice stuff. But I try to hold myself to the same standards. I'm actually due for a wardrobe purge. Anything I haven't worn in the last year needs to go. It either is too small now or I never really liked how it looked on me. Graphic tees are my kryptonite. I've started to cut the pictures off the front and only save those. I know it's wasteful (because now no one can wear it), but I'm saving them to make a quilt in the future. I just need to learn how to operate a sewing machine... 😆 But even so, the fronts take up much less room than the entire shirt.
Kid clothes are out of control. I try to have some delineation between "home clothes" and "school clothes" but everything gets beat to shit anyway so I feel like it's a losing battle. If something is stained (and I can't get it out on the first try) or torn beyond an easy repair, I toss it. Otherwise it's just taking up space. Staying on top of clothes they've grown out off is hard. I try to do a biannual audit twice a year- after Christmas and after birthday.
When it comes to papers, anything that can be done electronically should be done electronically. I also do autopay wherever I can. Staying on top of my mail has helped a lot. I go from my mailbox straight to my recycle bin. If I want to look at the grocery store circular, I do it right there. Stuff that needs to be paid gets put on my desk, stuff that needs to be filed goes into the "to be filed" bin which I do maybe once every two months. Kid papers are harder. I save important stuff like report cards, and things that come home laminated, or stuff that I can tell they've put a lot of effort into. Ditto papers and worksheets usually go straight to the recycle bin. All the gray area stuff goes into a Rubbermaid tote that I've been ignoring for a while lol.
Toys are an issue. How old are your kids? Personally I hate small, crappy toys (like happy meal stuff). I donate those to the after school program for them to put into their prize box. How attached are your kids to their toys? You might be surprised at how willing they are to donate toys to other kids. Since it's almost Christmas, you could use this as an opportunity to have a conversation about helping those less fortunate- they would be giving a gift of happiness by passing on a toy/stuffy versus "discarding it and hurting its feelings." I do NOT advocate anthropomorphizing objects, but that is a conversation that I've had before, so I wanted to include it.
Finally, your husband's "comments" need to be shut the fuck down. Establish a list. If it's not on the list, it doesn't get bought. Do not write on the list for him. If he brings up an item, tell him to write it on the list. If he texts you an item, tell him to write it on the list when he gets home. The cereal thing- "sorry didn't get cereal, but if you're going to the store please pick up X and Y." Does he commute by car? If so, you should outsource groceries to him.
I wash records for my record store and inner sleeves that are open faced toward the outer jacket opening will always significantly have more dust, compared to records that have been stored with the inner sleeve opening facing upward inside the jacket.
I wash records that can be 10-50+ years old and the ones that are stored like I stated above, plus with outer plastic sleeves are always VG++\NM (If it’s been with an owner who didn’t thrash it).
They may not seem like a big deal but after years of collecting, the little things to keep them safe make a huge difference.
Also, dust can lead to surface wear (different from scratches) which can create your pops and it wears your needle faster! A minimal amount for a short period of time is not going to kill them but just be aware of it. Don’t let it cake up!
Not to scare you and leave you with anxiety but always take the extra effort to keep them safe and clean. Don’t be lazy on maintaining them!
Pick these up!

Give it a little rub before each listen.
I’m guessing he’s talking about these.
I’ve never tried them, but they definitely look the part.
I’ve got an entire ritual! First I place the record in a poly outer sleeve and then remove the sticker from the original shrink wrap and fix it to the outer sleeve, wherever it was positioned originally.
Sometimes stickers have a hard time coming off smoothly without tearing; in this case use a hairdryer on the sticker for a few seconds and it should peel off easy :)

I use these, only thing is thick/double LPs hang outside a little bit.
I've bought the BCW's, I've bought from Sleeve City, I've bought the mylar flapped covers... skip all those and get these 3 mil polys from Square through Amazon. I've probably bought 1,000 of them. Best I have hands down for everything but the most gigantic LP jackets.
http://www.amazon.com/100-Record-Outer-Sleeves-Polyethylene/dp/B000RA7IZS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1414126547&sr=8-2&keywords=record+sleeves
I've been quite happy with these!
These are the ones I use. I'm on my second pack now with no complaints.
These ones work fine
https://smile.amazon.com/100-Record-Outer-Sleeves-Polyethylene/dp/B000RA7IZS/ref=pd_bxgy_23_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000RA7IZS&pd_rd_r=14YS39JXEEW1Z5T9N5NP&pd_rd_w=qVGQS&pd_rd_wg=Zy1p5&psc=1&refRID=14YS39JXEEW1Z5T9N5NP
I don't know if you're an amazon prime member, but if you are, you can get free shipping on these bags or these bags. The 500 count package wasn't there when I ordered bags last fall, which I'm annoyed about, since I've bought 4 packs of the 100ct and could've saved $$.
I use those MFSL inner sleeves too. On everything. I've probably purchased 5 or 6 packages of them by now.
For outer sleeves I was using these, but they're a little too small to comfortably fit larger 2LP gatefolds. Just this past week I got a package of these because the only negative complaint was that they're slippery, which is perfect for me because shelf space is getting tight and it's hard to pull out just one record at a time. They're a little thinner, 2.5mil vs 3.0 mil, but it's totally fine. It feels more like putting a comic book in a protective case rather than putting my leftovers in a freezer bag.
I second, here is the pack I ordered, they work damn well and are pretty cheap considering I ordered 100.
Any shop dealing in used product might carry them. Or you can find them online, though you'll probably have to buy quite a few...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RA7IZS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
Poly sleeves to protect the album cover from dirt, bumps and ringwear and generally keep your covers looking fresh and new.
I have been getting these 3.0 mil thick sleeves, but the last batch I ordered was really snug for gatefolds and double+ albums (fine for single LPs):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RA7IZS
I've used these as well and they're fine. They're 2.5 mil. You wouldn't think that the 0.5 mil would make that much of a difference, but the 3.0 mil do feel more substantial. In all honesty, there's probably no functional difference between the two. These seem to hold double LP's and gatefolds just fine:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RA7IZS
Now the important question comes: Opening at the top or the side?
I use these sleeves: (100) 12" Record Outer Sleeves - PREMIUM - 4mil Thick
Looks like they are out of stock but you can order from their website directly too. 4 mil thick, and fits double LP albums
FWIW I recently switched to 4mil sleeves and have loved the extra thickness. The problem I was having with standard 3mil sleeves was the top edges getting all flippy-floppy after a lot of use making it more difficult to get double albums or other thick albums back into them. The extra stiffness of the 4mil sleeves solved the problem.
these will hold bigger sets like Beatles Mono Masters triple gatefold.
Maybe these? https://www.amazon.com/DOUBLE-OVERSIZE-Plastic-Outersleeves-Records/dp/B001719NXQ#customerReviews
I literally just had the exact same problem, since this is my first 4 LP album and I don't have any box sets. After some searching I got these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001719NXQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They do the job, although not as snug as I would like. To give you an idea, I can fit an additional double LP in and it would be perfect. But, at least you can see a first hand preview of this particular brand and size to help you find what you need. Here is a picture if it helps: http://imgur.com/a/mdwwT
It’s been so long ago since I bought them. This is the 2nd one I’ve bought, the first one was better built than this one. But this one is fully customizable where the first one I got had 6 shelves that are permanent.
This link is to the 2nd one I bought (it is the one pictured here)
https://www.amazon.com/Prepac-Width-Storage-Cabinet-Black/dp/B001KW0BDI/ref=pd_sbs_196_6/141-2816934-2344453?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001KW0BDI&pd_rd_r=5abea51f-6cf0-4288-9caf-9081204d74b3&pd_rd_w=f7MRJ&pd_rd_wg=jPutW&pf_rd_p=52b7592c-2dc9-4ac6-84d4-4bda6360045e&pf_rd_r=8WGM8HSZ4M32JA6AJECE&psc=1&refRID=8WGM8HSZ4M32JA6AJECE
Like I said above though it’s not as sturdy as the original one was, but I still love it and will buy it again when I get enough next gen games.
Well, this doesnt necessarily fit your price range but when you think about it, even though it's only one unit, it is the size of 3-4 units put together... but even so, I will post it in case someone in the future finds this post through the search feature; that's how I found out about it.
I have a Prepac BMA-1520, got it for just under 300$. This thing is the perfect depth for games, and is very adjustable; it came with 34 shelves, so you could potentially fill it with ds/3ds sized boxes without wasting any space. And of course you can even put figures on top of it (like just about any storage unit) so it looks really cool. Here's mine.
Prepac Barrister 800 and 1200.
Looks like these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KW0BGK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are the bigger ones:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KW0BGU/?coliid=I2X19RC69LGGJ5&colid=26OELUON5KJSH&psc=1
These are the smaller ones:

I found this one on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Prepac-Triple-Width-Storage-Cabinet/dp/B001KW0BGU/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=blu+ray+shelf&qid=1558915307&s=gateway&sprefix=blu+ray+she&sr=8-5&utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app

I've got one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Triple-Width-Wall-Storage/dp/B001KW0BGU/ref=sr_1_24?ie=UTF8&qid=1453311949&sr=8-24&keywords=blu+ray+storage
And two smaller, homemade shelving units holding my collection. The linked piece is about the quality you expect from these sort of things, but it does hold a decent amount especially if you're thinking of eventually doubling your current number. The other issue you need to consider is how many Blus/HD-DVDs vs. DVDs you're holding. Adjustable shelves are a must for mixed collections.
It’s this one from Amazon:
Amazon link
Being Canadian this is Amazon.ca, but I'm sure it can help you find a similar one. Here is the one I got:
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001KW0BGU/ref=s9_bbs_gw_d0_g201_ir01?pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=18XR7WKXE7N2SVFZEVCT&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1375923922&pf_rd_i=915398
Here it is.
Every one of those shelves is vertically adjustable, too, so if you wanna put books on it (like I do with mine) you can adjust some shelves for taller books. I've nearly filled the thing all the way up. It's been sturdy without any mounting to the wall or bracing of any sort.
Hmmm, i would use cassete cases since its cheaper and they are really fun to make, im casing my entire collection and its really satisfying, here is a video in case you dont know what im talking about:

I recently used these to make some cases for my loose handheld games. They turned out pretty well! http://imgur.com/JXdN0pN
I got mine from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039ZWQQY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Not official Ds cases, a bit flimsier and the color is slightly off from the official Nintendo ones but worth getting in bulk for my gba games. Eventually I'm gonna make it so they will fit game boy games. Most people probably are aware but I printed out all my covers at staples and found them on www.thecoverproject.net . They have pretty much all covers you could ever want and it's constantly being updated.
Welcome! I open all my steels simply they look to good to be covered by j.cards and stickers from the retailers. Also digital codes and the discs are inside and most movies I have steelbooks of I enjoy watching again. Very few of mine are still wrapped.
I put mine in plastic sleeves/bags (very cheap but definitely not most elegant option) I got on amazon but am currently looking in hard plastic options. retro protection seems to have some good ones.
If you buy multiple editions of the same title it’s gonna come down to how much you like the different editions and what your wallet says. I for example thinking about getting another blade runner 2049 just bc of the design and also replaced my kingsman steelbook for a newly released design and sold my previous one.
When you start looking at premium retailers (like manta labs or blu fans) you should check if it’s a WEA (world exclusive art - only available from one retailer) or WWA (world wide art - available from multiple retailers). They usually release 3 or 4 versions that mainly differ by the (Lenticular)slipcover and which format is inside (4K/2D/3D/digital). They also release a “1-click” that’s all versions of one release combined. So most often 3/4 times the same steelbook with 3 different slipcovers (of course there are always exceptions). The best chance to get one of those premium releases is through group buys in various forums (here on reddit, highdefninja, mediapsychos,...).
Here you can find some more“steelbook terms” explained.
Oh and if you like to display your steelbooks, solutions including magnets look really awesome!
Hope that helps! pm if you have any other questions.
I got this second hand, but I know amazon sells something very similar! It’s a media shelf.

It’s perfect for pops if you prefer to display them out of box. Here’s the link

Got it right here!
Here is the Amazon link. There are two different thicknesses, the 2.5 and the 5 mil and both are great. The 5 are more expensive but great on double LPs or your more expensive records.

Outers
Inners
I use these. 2LPs are sometimes a little too snug but they work amazingly. All my jackets and inners are kept near perfect.
Here are the clear sleeves that I use for my picture discs and all of my records in general. They're really decent quality and they're not expensive:

> Is it worth the money to get the Pluto Preamp
For the price, that's a very good preamp.
> I'm thinking of picking up used active speakers from a thrift store
Active speakers aren't easy to find at thrift stores. You'll find lots of computer speakers (which are active speakers) but don't tend to sound great. The popularity of active speakers has been a more recent thing rather than a 70s/80s thing which seems to be the era the majority of speakers found in thrift stores come from.

My method: https://imgur.com/a/V3Tbn
> I've heard that the paper inner sleeves are slightly toxic to records
No. They're just...made of paper. So tend to add static, paper dust, and possibly scuffs to the record.
> I want something effective but not too costly
I like these: https://www.amazon.com/Diskeeper-Anti-Static-Record-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00B1V2FA0
Is polyethylene okay? like these
Yeah, they look cool and all, but I'd always prefer a regular vinyl.
The plastic they're packaged in also can further damage the record. I always put these on any records that go in those clear PVC packaging.

I use vinyl styl, they are pretty good and fit double lp's. Also, the price isn't too bad
I have something similar, albeit less "fancy". It's basically this:
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Binder-Holder-Storage-Capacity/dp/B00DIHVMEA/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3005ZO2U9IBZY&keywords=cddvd+storage+case&qid=1564319839&s=electronics&sprefix=cd+dvd+storage%2Celectronics%2C177&sr=1-5

Great idea!!
AmazonBasics Nylon CD/DVD Binder (400 Capacity) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DIHVMEA/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_V1ezybBEHN9P8
This case is really old, found it in a storage box. /u/Hudson187 found something similar:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DIHVMEA/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_V1ezybBEHN9P8
Seems like a lot of options in that category.
Missed that part in the op. Are you keeping your place in Britain while coming to the US? You could always get one of these for your dvds and leave the empty cases behind.
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Nylon-DVD-Binder-Capacity/dp/B00DIHVMEA/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1505752621&sr=8-5&keywords=dvd+case
My collection started off that way in labeled ziplock bags but I recently switched over to this cd binder that fit every tile with room to spare. Next step are hero and overlord card binders and perhaps a miniature case.
The Mofi ones are supposed to be the best inner sleeves. There are many outer jackets out there, I get the "Invest in vinyl" brand from Amazon, I think sleeve city is supposed to have the best. I've had no issues with what I get and I use them for my laserdiscs as well.
Edit: Inner https://www.amazon.com/MOBILE-FIDELITY-SOUND-INNER-SLEEVES/dp/B001LQSFKY/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=mobile+fidelity+sleeves&qid=1557331798&s=gateway&sr=8-4
Outer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HHBA0PY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This might be a dumb question, but are plastic and PVC the same thing? I want to make sure buying these plastic outer sleeves is a safe option:
https://www.amazon.ca/Plastic-Protective-Sleeves-Vinyl-Record/dp/B01HHBA0PY/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1488269580&sr=8-7&keywords=outer+sleeve
Thanks!
Here are my tips:
Store those well-protected records vertically and out of the sunlight and you should be good to go.
Ordered right after F8, got https://www.amazon.com.au/Oculus-301-00199-01-Quest-Travel-Case/dp/B07Q1JH58V also. Got an update this afternoon that I'll get free day 1 shipping.
I think you may be doing something wrong. I've owned my copy since it came out and I use it regularly and it looks nothing like that.
If you're not doing so already, you should store your records in protective sleeves (doesn't have to be this specific kind, just something like that). This will protect the record sleeve during storage.
Store your records so they stand side by side and not stacked. They should look like this on your shelf/in your crate: |||||||||
Don't smoke, let small children/pets mess with them, etc.
Also, to clear debris and static from the vinyl itself before playing, I highly recommend Gruv Glide.
Buy these . I have three cats and they've never scratched a sleeve.
Great link! Saw these on Amazon, a little cheaper, but also smaller? http://www.amazon.com/Polyethylene-Plastic-Record-Sleeves-Outersleeves/dp/B000RA7IZS

I would get a polyurethane sleeve. You can get a better deal than this but its just an example.
I have these and couldn't be more happy
you got me worried now!
how can you tell they are PVC sleeves from the picture?
Are PVC different from polyethylene and polypro/polyester?

Thoughts?
I like the thick 4 mil, personally. This is what I buy.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001716LMM
I've been going through my collection and adding outer sleeves, along with removing the records and placing them outside the jacket/gate fold, inside the sleeve—but I've come across numerous records with thick gate folds that won't fit in the standard outer sleeve (like this one).
Can anyone recommend an outer sleeve that would have enough room for these thick gate folds?
I just recently bought these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001719NXQ/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_api_szgtxb...
They easily fit a box set half an inch thick...
https://www.amazon.com/DOUBLE-OVERSIZE-Plastic-Outersleeves-Records/dp/B001719NXQ
Yeah check these out. https://www.amazon.com/DOUBLE-OVERSIZE-Plastic-Outersleeves-Records/dp/B001719NXQ
Ignore the negative reviews they are all basically because they weren't big enough for what they wanted. These are identical to the well reviewed standard sized outer sleeves but bigger. They fit my 3lp and box sets with a bit of room to spare so should work for what you need.
I use Prepac model ones. Available from Amazon, Walmart, Staples.
I have a quad width one and highly recommend them as they are strong and sturdy and adjustable.

I used to store them in boxes/tubs on top and under my entertainment cabinet...but I ran out of room lol.
Getting rid of nearly half of my collection because of the space issue...I'm going to dump the stuff I never watched/just didn't enjoy and upgrade to blu rays the stuff I love. I'm not sure on storage. I have plans for some sort of shelving unit but not sure which.
Leaning towards https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KW0BDI/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_63?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER because it seems to be able to hold around 600 standard blu ray cases.
If I limit myself on what movies I want to own...I should be able to fill that up and call it good.
I will be cheating some and putting my big box collections/steelbooks somewhere else. I'll also be getting multipacks of movies in one case. So a whole series of movies in a single case pretty much. Cuts down on space taken up drastically.
I thought I recognized that shelf. I’ve got the taller variant. really good quality and i’ve got tons of space left.
[edit] adding the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KW0BGK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jvnJDbKQXDX38

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001KW0BGK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The only real difference between this one and the one he linked is the amount of dvds it can hold.
The unit is linked below, it was incredibly easy to assemble and I'm very pleased with it. If I had the space I would definitely get another for VHS and video games.

https://www.amazon.com/Black-Triple-Width-Wall-Storage/dp/B001KW0BGU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1500304427&sr=8-1&keywords=prepac+triple
Leaving towards getting a few myself. My problem with the billy and other book shelves are the depth, I don't need that for my loose carts.
A good amount of people (including me) have a shelf by Prepac known as the Triple Width that looks like those.
I had similar racks as yours (and still do) but recently went with the "Prepac Triple Width Wall Storage Cabinet" (link is from Amazon but I bought the same unit at Wal-Mart.) It's pretty sturdy, adds quite a bit of height and the shelves are quite customizable in where you place them.
I bought one of these and it is great - the shelf height can be customized and they are not as deep as the Billy bookcases (I have one of them too). I might need to order another soon as the collection only grows larger.

edit: here it is in action: http://imgur.com/a/jyJka
I have the straight version of this: http://www.amazon.com/Prepac-Cherry-Triple-Width-Storage/dp/B001KW0BM4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_etk_hg_fd__4?ie=UTF8&refRID=1D3XEKXBZC3J4NQW7FR5.
Not as tight as I wished it to be, but it is versatile for DVD, Blurays, VHS, and Cd's.
Taguchi Round Inner Sleeves are great for the price. They're a bit thin but that helps with sliding them in and out of tight gatefolds.
https://www.amazon.com/Taguchi-Sleeves-0-028Mm-Anti-Static-Material/dp/B0030IW10Q
Looking for recommendations on anti-static inner sleeves.
I've been using Taguchi Round LP Inner Sleeves but they seem to be harder to get a hold of at this time or the price has gone up. I read reviews on various products, including sleeve city and many seem to have complaints of not being truly anti-static. I haven't had any issues with the Taguchi. I am also looking for rounded bottom sleeves and about the same thinness.
These are made to fit into the original sleeves for those that have artwork/special etc. They are thinner but also work standalone. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030IW10Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3676LRWLWWUFL&psc=1
I've had luck with these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030IW10Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I like the rounded bottoms because I have a lot of older jazz records that don't have room for a full sleeve. Plus, they are thin enough to put into the original inner paper sleeves that came with the records (or next to them, for that matter).
eBay also has some cartridge cases that are empty for specific games, and you can get these for DS games
I order them from here, however it seems like they send a different brand every time I order, the first batch I got were OKER brand and those are the best ones with resealable tape on the edge of the flap, the other ones they send require you to tape them closed yourself since the resealable flap is more towards the middle of the flap and doesn’t work well with Blu-rays.
Would a ziploc bag be suitable, or do i need one of [these] (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004BLYJ6A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5-pEDbJEP80FP)?
these ones
Sadly this is unrelated to asset protection and more how they process returns.
Because the product is sealed it will be placed back onto the shelves. Next person that buys it will be screwed over and now has to try to convince a manager that the 'sealed' package they bought had a fake disc in it.
Please do not ever actually do this, this is a good way to randomly screw people over. Wal-mart should be very careful about allowing returned goods to be sold. There's been instances where kids received 'new' MP3 players that had adult content placed on them and then returned to the store.

Oooo good luck with it all!
This is pretty slick looking!
Or maybe something simpler like this!
Thanks for the contest!
I'm not sure what your budget is but This would be rad for CDs and movies and such!
And, this seems like it would be a cool light to use!
I often order from Amazon, enormous selection on there. You can often find better prices from a label or the band's bandcamp/online store.
As for storage/display, I just filled one of these and got a second. They're great, look decent, and aren't terribly expensive (for CD racks, that is).

This is what I bought :

I use four Atlantic brand CD cabinets that I bought at FYE years ago that sound like what you're describing:
https://www.amazon.com/Atlantic-Summit-Cabinet-132BluRay-Espresso/dp/B0058O8PUU/ref=pd_sim_23_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0058O8PUU&pd_rd_r=1QK58JEGVBY2BQHKJTHW&pd_rd_w=Xjg2s&pd_rd_wg=E6Uu1&psc=1&refRID=1QK58JEGVBY2BQHKJTHW
They still look almost brand new, even one that I've had for about 5 years now. I would certainly recommend them.
this is what we are currently working with
as you can see.. this is not an average setup
My thought is to get something like this and put it to the left of the desk, since we could make simple cutouts for the cables.
the baskets of games and movies aren't really working for me either, but at least if we get the consoles off the built in shelves we can put games there.
I’m not sure the brand of this shelf. I purchased it off OfferUp. This one I found on amazon is similar. Has wider shelves. Adjustable too. I was going to get it but I didn’t have much $ to shell out. So hopefully soon I’ll get another.

I picked one up on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058O8PUU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but you can find them all over the place. Media towers that were designed to store CDs will do just fine for NES games since they're about the same height when stored sideways.
I recommend these inner sleeves:
http://www.amazon.com/Diskeeper-Antistatic-Record-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00E41PYKC/ref=sr_1_10?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1416495925&sr=1-10
These for outer sleeves:
http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Outer-Record-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00B1UML82/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1416495925&sr=1-3
These inner sleeves are also good if you're dealing with older records with very tight jackets or modern records with thick cardstock inner sleeves. With a cardstock inner sleeve, I use them as liner sleeves.
http://www.amazon.com/Diskeeper-Round-Bottom-Record-Sleeves/dp/B00B1WQV6S/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1416495925&sr=1-7
I also think the Spin Clean is essential if you are going to buy used records.
RE: the amp, I have no experience with it, but if you are unsure about the amp and want to take it out of the equation entirely, look into powered/active speakers. You don't need an amp with those.
https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Outer-Record-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00B1UML82
There's not much to explain. They're typically made out of HDPE plastic and are less prone to cause scuffing and excess static with your records. I use these ones: https://www.amazon.com/Diskeeper-Anti-Static-Record-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00B1V2FA0
It really just depends if you care more about displaying the record, as it is a picture disc and will have less of an audio quality, or if you do plan on playing it often.
If you do plan on playing it often, and putting it into something else, try these (which is also good for records with paper sleeves since paper can scratch your record a little): https://www.amazon.com/Diskeeper-Anti-Static-Record-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00B1V2FA0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1485984124&sr=8-3&keywords=inner+sleeves
I have had good luck with Diskeeper! 2.0 Anti-Static Record Sleeves. They seem thick enough and are a pretty good deal as well.
These are the best inners for me https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1V2FA0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Slim enough to not add bulk to the entire package (frequently slimmer than the factory paper sleeves) but sturdy enough to not crumple up when sliding back in. I'll swap MoFi inners out for these if I run into them.
Anybody use these round bottom LP sleeves from Diskeeper?
Hey all,
Just ordered my first turntable (a Pro-Ject DC Esprit) and I'm extremely excited to receive it and play my first ever record! I'm ordering a few classics on Amazon to get started and I notice that some of them are remastered versions (e.g. Pearl Jam's "Ten"). How do these remasters hold up compared to the originals? Am I better off tracking down the originals of these classics or would I be okay ordering the remastered record? Also, is Amazon typically a solid place to order records, or am I better off getting better quality from another website? Unfortunately I live in a small town in Virginia with no dedicate audio store so anything in-person will be extremely hit or miss.
Part two: Should I be concerned about ordering inner sleeves for my records? Something like these or these? I know I need to go ahead and order a brush to clean the records every time before I play them, but I saw these sleeves as well and don't know if they're really even necessary or overrated, or if they're absolutely necessary. Thanks for any pointers for a newbie!
I use these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1WQV6S?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I use them alongside any sleeves that my old albums come with. These are better because I can easily slide the album in and out while keeping these sleeves inside the cover.
Muddiness is a big complaint. Sometimes master tape transfers to vinyl can enhance the good and bad. So perhaps it's even more so for the red vinyl edition. But do your own research, see if you find contrary testimonials. I've normally relied on Amazon, Discogs, and Steve Hoffman forums for my questions.
As far as the sleeves, I use these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00B1WQV6S/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1502818605&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=anti+static+record+sleeves&dpPl=1&dpID=41WWDtn1tEL&ref=plSrch
Disc Keepers with rounded bottoms. I like them. A lot of people like to go with the MoFi sleeves. I like the keepers for the rounded bottoms. Makes it easier to 'drop' into outer sleeve.
I'm looking into buying some outer sleeves for my records. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions that aren't to expensive (I'm in Canada so most of my vinyl stuff is imported).
These are 2 I'm thinking about, has anyone tried one of these before?
Vinyl Styl 72261 Protective Outer Record Sleeves
Original OPP Outer Sleeves
On suggestion by another user in this group.
1 - Soft-sided CD/DVD holder for the map tiles. You can fit all but the two largest in a CD wallet though the long ones overlap the top CD sleeve a bit when placed in the lower pocket.
https://smile.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Nylon-DVD-Wallet-Capacity/dp/B00DIHVM36?_encoding=UTF8&deviceType=desktop&keywords=cd%20wallet&qid=1488128453&redirect=true&ref_=sr_1_4&sr=8-4
2 - bought the foam organizer for the base box, with the map tiles in the DVD holder it frees up more space in the foam organizer.
https://smile.amazon.com/Foam-tray-Imperial-Assault-board/dp/B014KSCYWE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488128529&sr=8-1&keywords=imperial+assault+foam+insert
3 - all cards are in thick sleeves to prevent damage. I use Mayday Games MDG-7075 and MDG-7078. Thinking I will laminate the character cards or use photo-negative sleeves to protect them (still investigating).
4 - 3 ring binder to store all the cards except consumables, condition cards, etc (basically anything that you only need to pull 'some' of at the start of a match).
Something along the lines of this (I bought them in both sizes for IA at my local FLGS, $0.25 / page isn't bad at all). 3 ring binder with velcro closure was $3.00 at GoodWill.
5 - small PLANO organizer for all of the extra figures that I can't fit into the foam organizer...looking at a small case for figures, waiting on funds and to see what the other expansions will require.
6 - random Acrylic organizers bought at the Dollar Store. We use them for storing tokens as the 3 compartment with lid has been perfect so far. Condition tokens, crates, terminals, etc all sorted to a degree into those.
Hope some of that makes sense. I opted for foam for the core set rather than the Broken Token organizer because I intend to paint our collection as soon as it warms up a bit, don't want to use primer indoors and its too cold and wet outside to properly paint.
Have fun!
I found an old CD case that I still had CDs in. I had to clean off the dust and remove the old CDs, but afterwards it works very well.
The largest tiles will not fit, but I got all but maybe 2 from the core set into the binder.
I would say anything with a soft sleeve should work. Maybe something like this? Amazon
If you would like to keep them but don't like the amount of space they take up, you put them in these type of things https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DIHVM36?psc=1
> How do you organize your compact discs?
Using a binder case.
You can still buy them...
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Nylon-DVD-Binder-Capacity/dp/B00DIHVMEA
I threw all the boxes away and put the booklets and CDs into a folder thing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-Binder-Capacity-Nylon-Black/dp/B00DIHVMEA
you can get ride of the cases and use instead a disc binder for storage of your games/movies
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Binder-Holder-Storage-Capacity/dp/B00DIHVMEA/
I prefer 3mil poly sleeves: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HHBA0PY/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_jjfxDbKT57D92
These are very similar to the sleeves that the reissues came in. I hate those "crystal" clear sleeves that are all loud and crinkly like a bag of chips and/or have adhesive "envelope" flaps.
I keep all of my records in one of these 3 mil. outer sleeves with the record in a MoFi inner sleeve behind the record jacket.
ALSO TIP: If you're just starting your collection, and you think there's a possibility you may end up with like 3,000 one day, START CLEANING THEM (If they're used) as you go, scrubbing the vinyl for dirt debris, dusting the covers/sleeves, and putting the covers in protective plastic. If that's your thing.
Record Cleaner
Sleeves
Plastic Covers
Edit: Damn. This Record Cleaner used to be like $35-40. Price of vinyl and vinyl accessories has jumped so high in the last few years.
My only suggestion would be to get protective sleeves for your albums. I can see Taboo is already bowing open which will let a lot of dust in. having it like that can possibly damage the jacket as well over time, protective sleeves are cheap and will hold everything together better. https://smile.amazon.com/Invest-Vinyl-Protective-Collection-Protection/dp/B01HHBA0PY/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1539177809&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=outer+sleeves+for+vinyl+records&psc=1

I've outgrown the outer and inner sleeves gifted to me and need to buy more. I'm looking at getting these outer's and these inner's from Amazon. Solid deals or do I have better options?

Looking at UK however, doesn't appear up yet. Gamestop have a page for it but it's not accessible currently.
Case - Oculus has their own and it looks solid (albeit mixed reviews so far)
Portable charger - Aukey/Anker make great products, need 2.1 output, depends on your budget
Lens cover - VRCover makes a generic lens/headset cover, have it for the vive, it's really nice
Headphones - do you like in-ears, over the ears - do you know the difference between open back or closed headphones? It's hard to recommend those without knowing how much you want to spend and what you like
Additional cables - probably want to grab some velcro straps to use to tidy up cables if you are playing with a battery pack and/or headphones
As far as my setup goes, I'll be using the following:

So recently I've noticed a lot of youtubers "bagging" their movies. I wondered what they were seeing them on their shelves. I personally liked how they looked in the clear covers...but I also realized they can help protect them as well! I cant recommend them enough now! I bought these from amazon for only 6.99. Although they aren't a prime eligible item, they still came in 3 days. Plus, I think they add a bit of shine to your covers, ESPECIALLY on the steelbooks. No fingerprints now! Hope this helps someone!
