Hi all! I've been a redditor for a long time, but I've created an alt just to tell you about my husband's just-released debut novel, A Lonely Aura of Justice.

My husband, Alexander Jay Pereira, is a Traumatic Brain Injury survivor who says he didn’t appreciate the beauty and power of the written word until it became a struggle to read.

Overcoming his cognitive deficiencies, Alexander found an unlikely passion in his writing. A Lonely Aura of Justice is his first book and was birthed from his experiences recovering from TBI.

Here's the synopsis!
Charlie was a good cop and an honorable man before a brutal attack almost cost him his life. One year later, Charlie is unable to perform his former duties because of a Traumatic Brain Injury that effects his emotional and cognitive reasoning. Struggling to regain his sense of humanity, Charlie becomes obsessed with the mystery surrounding his attack.

I hope you enjoy the book. I'm so proud of Alexander for writing it and sharing his TBI journey through this work.

I suggest [The Big Free] (https://www.amazon.com/Big-Free-Martha-B-Boone-ebook/dp/B073RWWCV1/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr) by Martha B. Boone Md., It is a new book that just came out and I loved it

The Big Free describes the medical humor and drama in the life of one of the first women surgeons in the busiest trauma surgery program in New Orleans in 1982. The excitement and dark humor of the inner city emergency room is the background for this coming of age story. Only a great story teller with inside knowledge can capture the intimacy of the lives of doctors, nurses and their patients. Readers will laugh and cry and long to know more of the spirited, young, female-doctor protagonist.

The Gemini Virus is a good book with a similar scenario; it is similar to smallpox but much, much worse.

I also like this book because it uses examples of how the diseases spread and actual science behind it... still terrifying though

If you could leave a review, I would be absolutely thrilled! You can honestly digest the whole book in a few hours time-it's a bite size novel. The Tip of Eternity

Hello Everyone. I'm a closeted ftm trans guy and I've written a book called Catharsis. My aim through this book is to make people understand that a ftm guy is no different than what they call a 'normal' guy. I want to change the way people view trans people. I know it's a herculean task but this book is a start. I would be honored if you take a look . That being said, it's understandable if you don't want to. Thanks for giving me your precious time. Thanks again!
