Clever solution, however if you were a true audiophile, you would've used a $185 Prada paper clip and a 24kt gold binder clip.

I've been using this for 12 years now. Haven't had any problems.

Something like this for three bucks. Or something like this, starting at $55 and up.

I use a leather money clip and card holder like this one.

I thought yours was the same as mine for a sec. I've used this one for a couple years. The springy bits get a little less springy, but not terrible. I've used the same one since July 2011.

When I grew up my grandpa and uncles all had super thick wallets with every little bit of nonsense in them that rested in their back pockets. When I was 15 I wanted a wallet that would hold every single damn card anyone would give me(trying to imitate my dad figures), from gift to credit to ID... 14 years later I only want to carry the shit I know I need at any given time. You could have the best damn wallet for carrying everything in the world now... Who knows if you will still want to use it 15 years from now.

TLDR: thought thick wallets were the shit, was just trying to show off as an angsty-teen...

I've been using this for 3 years, definitely not BIFL quality - but BIFL style........... http://www.amazon.com/Kenneth-Cole-REACTION-Window-Size/dp/B002EQ95JA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405999481&sr=8-1&keywords=reaction+wallet+clip

Slim Clip. Used to have to replace my wallet ever 6 months or so due to abuse. Even purchased some higher end ones $50-$100 and no dice. This beast is among the smallest I've ever owned and works as good as the day I bought it 8 years later.

Too many moving bits. Simpler Exhibit A.

Sadly, I've tried most of the examples in this thread: this steel wire clamp, the binder clips OP posted, rubber bands (those used in produce on broccoli crowns, asparagus, etc. work best), hair bands (fabric coating reduces friction) ... before settling on this one. It holds my ID, ATM card, credit card ... and very rarely, a few cash bills.

I also tried the double-sided money clips, and even a triple; hated them; items on one side don't line up with items on the other side due to the depth of the clip.

CRKT Minimalist $22.53

Money Clip $13.99

Parker Jotter $8.49

Timex Expedition $34.39

Micro Streamlight $17.15

Total $96.55 just enough left over for a Sierra Nevada tall boy.

There might be demand fo 3DP money clips. Best way to tell is to compare to similar items on the market.

With a quick search I found some examples of various custom money clips

Amazon custom engraving for 3bucks!!!

You can get custom engravings for somewhere around 3-100$ as far as I can tell. All the clips I can find quickly are stainless steel, silver, or leather. 3DP plastic is a bit different and maybe unique enough. However, I think your going to have to justify the benefits of the color options for 3DP verses the durability of the metal ones. You will have to charge more than 3USD/part if your 3DP them, I absolutely guarantee that.

You might also want to consider that bulk stainless money clips are cheap, 25cents a piece. You can then get an engraver fairly cheaply.

Anyways, just my rambling thoughts on the matter.

I'm currently using a homemade felt iPhone wallet that has two card slots that fits pretty much everything I need. The only problem is that it is coming apart.

I've thought about going to a clip but I'm not entirely trusting that I won't lose cards during the process of putting it in and taking it out of my front pocket. Has anyone had experience with a card/bill clip? Like this (http://smile.amazon.com/SG-105-DeepPocket-Leather-Wallet-Cowhide/dp/B005GXRCSE/ref=sr_1_8?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1415158810&sr=1-8&keywords=bill+card+clip) but not as expensive.

No, probably not, but my rule of thumb is to not have anything in my back pockets when I sit.

This Storus Smart Money Clip is the one I went with about 8 years ago (you can probably find it cheaper). Its built like a tank and carries everything I need in a day (and keeps me disciplined about what I do actually decide to carry)
