It looks like the bike is based off the Coleman CT200U which Amazon says weighs 112lbs. Good luck lol

After looking at this bike you should just buy it off Amazon for $500 and find some Supreme stickers. It looks like the same thing with some stickers.

I was looking at some recently on Newegg and Amazon for about 1k but had second thoughts after the recent heat wave. Just use there in site search for '150cc scooter'. They did specify "street legal".

E.g. https://www.amazon.com/TaoTao-LANCER-150-Street-Legal-Scooter/dp/B00J4TW2SQ

When you say reasonable, are we talking the price of item is reasonable for that item? cause then this would fit

or are we talking reasonable as in the average raoa gift is under $20? because that a different story. this book is the cheapest on my list

I did this to my 2001 E last year. I used this kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RNI4QIE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was easy wires to the battery and wires to the head light everything else is plug and play. The DRZ already has a high low beam bulb you just have to play with the three wires coming out of the headlight assembly until you figure which is high, low and ground. Other than that, it is tucking wires along the existing harness until you get to the rear. Remove the stock LED taillight and drill some holes to hold on the new light and blinkers. Disclaimer: you will drill holes in the tail fender and probably you headlight housing. I would also buy an additional tusk brake switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039ZTQEO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to replace the bolt on your front brake lever. This will light up your brake light whether you use the front or back brake. Also this kit requires that you turn it on/off manually (easy switch on the handle bars), but you could wire it in to the ignition I just never did. Bottom line is that it is very easy. took me about 3 beers, that's one evening in normal time.

The previous owner of my bike installed the Tusk Enduro Kit and I've gone over the wiring and it's simple enough. Just make sure your battery is charged when using it. Also I highly recommend getting higher profile rear blinkers because the ones included are basically invisible.

I wouldn't really worry about both high and low beam. My bike only has on and off.

>Is it worth spending almost double to go to a dealership and get a used Kymco or something?

The Amazon reviews may help you decide. Having some mechanical aptitude appears to make all the difference.

Whatever brand of 4-stroke you select will require frequent engine oil changes, and occasional valve adjustments.

I dunno about some people but I just felt “at one” with this machine, I knew how it behaved and I knew what it was capable of. I’ve spent days modifying it, like opening the intake, making a glass pack exhaust (sounded soooo bad ass), and putting a predator 420 on it. Half the components were made of wood, so that was neat.

I’d take that mini bike through the trail fucked out of my mind at like 2am, I removed the governer (speed controller) fashioned a large light to the front and just gunned it down that path. It was an off-roading Baja that when modified could go about 0-50 in a couple seconds. I’ve actually had plenty of encounters with police, but knew I’d get a DUI and possession charges (always had at least an 1/8 on me) so I’d just blast my way through some field, turn it off and wait.

One time they actually did try to come after me on this dirt road after I hid between some trees they came through lights on and all, I just turned off my lamp waited till they passed and then floored it before they could turn around.

I’ll try to find a picture of the bike.

Looks like I scewed the pooch. They were in my cart last night and I didn't pull the trigger. Looks like they already went up. I'm reluctant because my job security is currently in limbo and I'm afraid my wife will murder me. If it turns out Im not getting laid off, then I think these will be a great celebratory purchase.

u/slithica · 1 pointr/scooters

Yeah, that's realistic.

You can get a cheap ones online.

https://www.amazon.com/TaoTao-50cc-Sporty-Scooter-Green/dp/B015NKNB52/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491241855&sr=8-1&keywords=50cc%2Bscooter&th=1

$500 with free shipping in like new section.

Taotao scoots usually work pretty well as long as you service them properly. (easy $25 toolkit does the job)

You'll want a helmet, a half helm is good enough, leather gloves and thick ones for coldish weather. if it gets really cold you'll regret driving it, even 2 miles. Gear should cost you about $100.

those are some great goggles.

Way cheaper than this, but maybe a little less cool factor.

Bicycle Motor Works - The Fire Fly Motorized Bike Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GIT43N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_eEzWCb3059GQW

Conversion kits are cheap and they are pretty popular in the US. Also for scooters. It's so your genz child does not have to peddle like a sucker.

But I believe they would have range issues. Not sure if running the motor for hours is its design.

u/BreAKersc2 · 0 pointsr/videos

At first I thought O.P. was talking about a moped like this when I read the title...

Honestly, I think a guy like this should NOT be on the highway. Even where I live (I am an American in Taiwan), it is illegal to ride a moped where this guy on his LimeBike went. There are specific lanes on highways separated by a barrier that prevents people on mopeds from shifting / spilling over to lanes that have cars.

u/snowhorse420 · 0 pointsr/motorcycles

Oh i was talking about a mini bike not a pocket bike. Mini bikes have a hartail frame and solid forks, they usually run on a lawnmower engine and have a low top speed.

I was looking for something like this but just with a bigger frame:

https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Powersports-CT200U-Powered-Trail/dp/B0170U3U5O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1481516907&sr=8-3&keywords=mini%2Bbike&th=1
