Seconded. I have worn a Stetson leather ivy cap for years now. My kids call it my "vacation hat" because that I primarily when I wear it.

If you really do not want to grow out your hair, I think your face would really benefit from wearing a hat. If it fits the rest of your style, I think you would greatly benefit from a newsboy like this one:

Nice, clean clothing goes a long way to replace any hair you may lack.

It looks like a Patrol Cap, or a GI Cap. I found a link to an Amazon page with a bunch of different coloured caps.

I wear a very low key flat cap almost all the time now. I get comments about it occasionally, mostly positive. Most people are just surprised to see something that's not a ball cap. They work great for keeping the sun out of my eyes and rain off my glasses. It's a good compromise between nothing and a fedora. On vacations and outdoor activities I always wear my wide brimmed boonie hat.

Get a flat cap like one of these and try it out. Qossi 2 Pack Men's Cotton Flat Cap Ivy Gatsby Newsboy Hunting Driving Hat https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XDG3QP8/

I'm not sure what features you like or would like in the hat, but here is one with tweed and ear flaps.

It's a newsboy cap from the 70s, with the front held in place with a pin to look like a captain's hat, instead of flopped over the brim. Possibly with something in the front to hold it up as well (like the pin on one side, cardboard on the other).

If you're trying to get "close enough" for a costume, you can try something like this

Edit: I also have to admit I've seen the exact hat, 10 years ago, in a large vintage store I worked in, which is why I am so positive. A bucket hat made out of the same material as well.

it warms my heart someone was on the page with me. Have a hat.

You're catching a bit of a beating in this thread. But I suspect it's because most of us were in a very similar place to you when we first started to attend to our style of dress. You don't have to replace everything at once. I'd probably advise against it actually, that often leads to a lot of regretted purchases. This is all basically stuff to keep in mind going forwards as you purchase clothes to replace what you've already got, or buy items for specific occasions. /r/frugalmalefashion is a good subreddit to subscribe to. Looking for another Big Apple cap like this one..

Needs to be size 13ish and have enough space in the hat when unbuttoned for ~4 feet of dreadlocks, like the Jaxon cap I linked to.

Budget's ~$80, and I've no attachment to buy from Amazon.

I have been starting to wear suspenders in my daily life. Jeans, cargo pants, t-shirts, button down; they work with damn near anything, and they keep your pants up more effectively I find than a belt.

Edit: Outfits P.S. They will all be in boots like this (which I happily only spent 20 bucks) because I really don't own any other shoes ATM.

1:

  • The skull and cross bones suspenders
  • Blue jeans
  • Irish cap (such as this)
  • Plain dark color t-shirt

    2:

  • White suspenders
  • Black dress pants
  • Black or Purple button down, collared shirt

    3:

  • Rainbow suspenders
  • Black jeans
  • Black tshirt
  • Irish cap

    4:

  • Red, argyley suspenders
  • Carpenter pants
  • Light colored shirt and/or graphics t

Most likely. It doesn't need to be a full suit. Personally, I wear mine with a military-style trench coat. (sort of like this.) I have been informed by several independent sources that this looks fine.

It also varies person to person. I would recommend asking someone who has no reason to be nice how it looks. (That is, not your mother, girlfriend or other close relations, more along the lines of brutally honest friends.)

If it doesn't work out for you, you could always try something else.

Personally, I would go. As whether Axl is or isn't a better singer than Brian Johnson is still up for debate; but AC/DC will always be better than no AC/DC

Not that I know what really happened, but I feel that they treated Brian pretty shittily. That's why, If I do go to see them I will be wearing one of these
