In all fairness: Why is this even listed in the "books" section when it should be listed in the "stationary" section?
I mean the seller basically had to fill out a form with the field "Author" and they put "Kikke Mbl14"
Here's a link to that product listed in the correct section: https://www.amazon.com/Moleskine-Classic-Notebook-Large-Notebooks/dp/8883701127
But my mousepad protects my wrist :(
Here is a link to the Etsy book that I started lettering with! I started lettering about 1 year ago after purchasing this book from Etsy. It comes with the best beginner pens to practice. It shows you multiple ways to write each letter so you can find your own style.
The pen i'm using in this video is the Micron 08. The glitter gel pens are the Pentel Sparkle Pop Gel Pens.
My FAVORITE small brush pen is the Tombow Fudenosuke hard tip.

Looks to me a lot like the Tombow brush pens I like to use for this style of brush calligraphy.

honestly its super easy...
u need
how to assemble:
Thats pretty much it. I kinda just started making it and winged it the whole way. Longest and hardest part is cutting the acrylic but its not that bad. Whole thing took me abt 2 trips to home depot and 3 hours over 2 two days (mirror film take 12 hrs to set). All and all, it was really easy. It helps to have someone help build, but theres nothing u really can’t do by urself. Hope u guys enjoy! reply w questions abt stuff n ill try to answer
ill edit this post later to include the amazon links to the LED strips and include pictures

reminds me of the snarky Amazon reviews on those Bic pens FOR WOMEN.

In this report you should include:
Purchase a notebook. A lot will happen, many conversations, and so-on. You will never keep it all straight in your memory.
This may seem like a lot of work and trouble to go through. It is. But it's nothing compared to the stress and nightmare you could go through if you don't.
Well there's far better resources for cooking on the cheap than me.
But some reliable cost savers that work for me.
Here's some recipes.

And of course, learn how to spend less on entertainment/phone.
Depending on what cost tier you're going for.
But I'm gonna guess a good internet connection, a tracphone, and maybe netflix should have all your bases covered.
Everything else you can just get from the internet.
(Although maybe Skype for another $3 a month... dunno how that compares to the cost of a landline phone)
Although for phone, maybe buying one of these, and paying nothing per month would be better than skype.
OBi110 + Google Voice = "Free" Landline phone, for nationwide calls.
(Although granted, maybe even this is too expensive)

For even cheaper, a lot of libraries have free DVD rentals.
And redbox kiosks, are $1 for a one nights movie rental for new movies.
After shipping total came out to to $34.04 for me. Not really that great when this is on Amazon if you have Prime:
https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Adjustable-Articulating-Counterbalance-STAND-V001O/dp/B01NH0HTM5/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1543443934&sr=8-14&keywords=monitor+arm
This one is the same dimensions for $11.90. No logo or design, the sides are also stitched, plus it's 1mm thicker. I've had it for about a month and it's been great, I don't think there's any reason to get this one over it unless you really like the design.
Best one from the actual amazon.co.uk page:
>Would be more effective if much thicker. Could not find battery compartment? Waste of my weak and ineffective lady money.
Cool, but I am cringing at that monitor sitting on the console... I use THIS for a touch screen I have, and highly recommend it.

Honestly if you don't know what they need from asking them, a gift card to Amazon. I'd much rather have that and spend it on what I need or whatever G.A.S. tells me I need than to receive a piece of kit that I didn't choose. I don't mean to sound rude, it's just that I rather prefer researching and choosing my own gear.
If you absolutely must, though, I recommend a book.

TV: Usenet, Netflix, and get an antenna.
You can hook up Netflix to your TV using a Roku or Boxee Box, or a smart internet-enabled TV if you have one.
Check out TVFool to find out what channels are available for free over the air in your area. If you live within 50-100 miles of the US border as the crow flies, you should be set to receive 10-30 channels for free in high quality HD, much higher quality than you can receive over cable. Pretty much anywhere in the Golden Horseshoe receives a great selection of channels for example, except maybe Newmarket and further north.
If you do decide to go the antenna route, check out this forum where people talk about reception results in different parts of Canada, and what antennas they had to install to get those channels. Best of all, this truly is a one-time investment, and it's totally legal. No need for multiple receiver boxes or any other nonsense.
If you set up usenet by following this guide, you can connect a Boxee Box to a computer that downloads things via usenet, and hook up Boxee to your TV. Your favorite shows and movies will be set to download automatically, and you can watch them on your TV.
Internet: Teksavvy. It's as good as they say it is. They still offer unlimited download plans and their standard plans involve a very reasonable 300 GB per month usage + no contracts + great support.
Home phone: Teksavvy offers phone service and long distance as well. They are a Bell reseller (in southern Ontario at least), but it feels good to not give Bell any money directly. For long distance, I make and receive calls for free using Google Voice, but I have used Teksavvy long distance occasionally and their rates are quite reasonable. If you set up a Google Voice account, you can get an adapter like this one that hooks up to your phone.

That would be the razer Vespula. Spendy but I really like it a lot. It's got a two layer system with a rubberized mat underneath, and the mouse surface sits on top, so it doesn't move around at all, and provides a really nice anchor point for your wrist (the wrist rest is attached to the rubberized layer).

For better cards, I use this: https://www.amazon.ca/Ultra-Pro-Pocket-Protector-Sleeves/dp/B004T2CBD4/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia?keywords=ultra+pro+binder&pd_rd_i=B004T2CBD4&pd_rd_r=bcb63363-d500-4d56-a6db-ede91821418a&pd_rd_w=8anbj&pd_rd_wg=0FOre&pf_rd_p=1831f6b9-0c20-4ab2-a931-987c40cd17c0&pf_rd_r=FNRSCEF7KJ3MQKAM80A7&qid=1554567204&s=gateway
I get some from time to time buying people's collections. Weee.
For higher-end NM cards, I'd just leave them sleeved in a toploader inside a closed box. You really don't want any damage on those, whereas a beat-up revised Tundra won't get more beat-up by you putting in it the above binders.
For low-end display cards (like a set of Tempest or whatever), I use normal binders with ultra pro sleeves. I stand them upright on a shelf so no card gets any binder dings.
If I had any very high-end cards in decent quantity ( 1k+ ) I'd probably rent a storage box at the bank and leave them in there.
Rudy ( alpha investments ) made a video on keeping your cards safe and basically once you get to a certain point ( like 100k+ ) you just have to install a vault in your house lol.
Make? No.
Paint? Yes. I painted all of those.
The Goblins are actually a pretty good deal. Reaper's Pathfinder Goblin Warriors. Get 4 of them for 3 bucks. If you want a bit more variety you can get the Reaper's Pathfinder Goblin Pyros but I'd feel pressured to do Object Source Lighting and I'd screw it up. Got two batches of the goblins and painted them all assembly line style.
Reaper Bones has a fair amount of similar "package deals" for a few monsters. 3-4 Skeletons, warriors, goblins, etc. Easy way to build a basic collection, even if it wont be 100% accurate at play time.
I'm using 3 Warriors, 3 Skeletons, and 8 Goblins as markers for most things right now since they were so cheap and easy. Players are pretty understanding of me using stand ins so far. They're happy to have painted miniatures even if the couple Bugbears in a fight are represented by Human Warrior minis.
Of course, even cheaper, you can get any number of wooden or plastic counters in any number of colors and shapes. Those work great too, but I enjoy collecting and painting (even on my limited budget) so Reaper Bones have been a godsend.
Oh! That 1 inch grid paper can be picked up as an Easel Pad. It allows you to draw out full maps, or even just important rooms ahead of time. Easy to just lay the prepped sheet out and go rather than drawing a room out before the combat.
There's a saying in the Army: Everything is ounces, ounces are pounds, pounds are miles.
Well, in D&D: Everything is seconds, seconds are minutes, and minutes are player interest and investment. Keep things flowing smoothly and keep people interested!

A few items that will help with cable management:
> What I don't get is how Seattleites continue to constantly complain about the way money is being spent in king county, then do everything they can to LOOK like they care about people doing jobs THEY think are beneath them, but ignore money being wasted.
These Moleskine journals are really nice, lined, and not very expensive. If you write all of your whiny bullshit in there, then we wouldn't have to read it!
No.
Okay it's a series of problems. Everyone has to face this. Let's look at some examples.
So gender selective abortion, female genital mutilation and all these are real problems. However there are other problems too. Pay discrepancy, glass ceilings, sexual harassment/abuse and the like also exist. And there are generally stupid things like "for her pens". These aren't "Barbie pens" aimed at children, these were aimed at adults. It's a stupid product and should be called out as such. http://www.amazon.co.uk/BiC-For-Her-Medium-Ballpoint/product-reviews/B004FTGJUW and this is a long running joke.
However it isn't on the cutting edge of women's issues. It's just a small part of the issues facing them. Now you cannot expect these people to fight FGM or Female Infanticide like I did. By marching into villages. The best they can do is flag waggle at the side lines in the same way that I cannot replace Sergio Aguero on the pitch and the best I can do is send happy thoughts and shake my fist at James Vardy.
So here is the thing. For all the people talking about slacktivists then tell me what level do you think of activity should they have done? For the record I worked for 6 years in rural India and helped a lot of people directly as a doctor and as a medical trainee.
So I would like to know as a non-slacktivist... what do you think is and isn't slacktivism? Like what's the minimum needed to stop being one. (Because there is a point coming up).
Go with the brand you're most used to. Since it sounds like you use a casio, you'll want this guy.
Disclaimer, I only patrol about a dozen shifts a month.
Pen-style cuff key in left shirt pocket, next to my Fisher Space Pen.
Rite-in-the-Rain notepad in the same pocket.
Whistle on a chain in right shirt pocket.
Good folding knife with seat belt cutter and window breaker.
Phone Charger.
Backup pocket-carry CREE LED flashlight.
There are tons of great options, the Parker Jotter I can definitely recommend. I've never had any leakage issues with the stock ink cartridge it came with but I also normally switch it out for a Fisher Space Pen refill.
Other good metal pens that aren't too expensive might be a Cross Click which is my current edc with a Fisher Space Pen refill in it which is great for signing receipts and quick things like that. I use it at work to give to customers to sign their receipts.. I like it because it is skinnier than the Parker Jotter, however, it is easier to accidentally click in your pocket whereas with the Jotter you have to use an intentional amount of force to click it.
Another one (or two) would be the Fisher Bullet Space Pen or the Cap-O-Matic Space Pen. The bullet is really quite compact and the Cap-O-Matic is a regular sized pen.
And if you're really worried about ink leakage in your pocket then you can get something like a Lamy Swift which has a mechanism so that when the tip of the pen is extended, the pocket clip retracts which makes it impossible to clip onto your pocket. One thing to keep in mind with the Lamy Swift is that it comes with a rollerball refill which is incredibly smooth but it puts out more ink than a regular ballpoint so it has a longer drying time and can smear on receipt paper.
A highly rated VoIP device. Let's you use your internet connection as a phone line, and does a very good job of it apparently (I have not personally tried one because I don't need a land line at all.)
[OBI] (http://www.amazon.com/OBi110-Service-Bridge-Telephone-Adapter/dp/B0045RMEPI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342985872&sr=8-1&keywords=obi)
Thanks. Good quality for price, I just wanted something larger in size.

Assuming your microns are the fine liner type and not the brush pens, you should get on the brush pen train!
This one is really nice and popular.
This one is nice too and would be more like what you're used to with the microns, but with a softer tip so you can vary the line weight easily.
I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure both of these are waterproof. Playing with water soluble ink and a water brush is a lot of fun too and doesn't require much to try out. Something like this (but try to find just one for cheap.. you don't need a bunch) plus random non-waterproof pens you probably have around the house and you're good to go.
Sorry it took me a while, I'm italian and I tried to look for the same items in Amazon.com instead of Amazon.it. Here's the complete list (from left to right, and from top to bottom):

Yes!!!
Looks like a variation of this one.
Tear off the old adhesive and apply new adhesive. Use Scotch Extreme, Gorilla , or something comparable. Clean the mount and windshield with rubbing alcohol and clean rag, wait a little while to make sure it's dry, then apply the adhesive.
I highly recommend the Kazaira Extended Mousepad.

I started with these Fudenosuke pens, which are super cheap on Amazon. If you're looking for a wide variety of color, but still a pretty easy-to-use pen, check out these as well. The trick is to find a pen that has a stiffer tip. The softer brush pens are trickier to learn on, but it can be done. I like the black Fudenosuke pens because they are pretty similar, but the blue one has a harder tip and the green one has a bit more give. It should be able to help you transition into using softer brush tips!
The Power Company has a process journal that could work well for what you are looking for.
I use a black moleskin journal to keep track of my progress, this is the one I bought off amazon.
I write my focus for the day, the drills or workouts that I do, how the session is going, particular things that I noticed while climbing, strength training exercises (sets and reps), my start and end times for my climbing and workouts (It is nice to track how much time you spend at the gym each week, and what portion is time spent climbing vs. strength training).
I don't write the individual climbs/grades that I do. I don't see much of a point to this, as gym grades are not very consistent and they aren't up for that long. When I am outdoors, I write every route that I climb.
I also tried keeping notes in a spreadsheet on my phone, but I like writing better, and it keeps me off of my phone while training.
In particular, get the $12-ish Clicker model over the admittedly historic Apollo model.
Have you seen the Amazon page for the 'Bic for her' pens? Read the reviews, they're hilarious. http://www.amazon.co.uk/BIC-For-Her-Medium-Ballpoint/dp/B004FTGJUW/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
No I don't think so. You will want a scientific calculator that preferably has complex numbers and calculus functions integrated into it. Something like this is ideal. https://www.amazon.com/Casio-fx-115ES-Engineering-Scientific-Calculator/dp/B007W7SGLO?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_3
This. And these.
I do the same. I've always found that writing something by hand helps me remember it better than if I just type it. When I come across a new word that isn't an obvious cognate (or is a seemingly obvious cognate but for the wrong word) I write it down along with its translation. I forget where I read this idea, but I also go back through the notebook each week, copy the words onto a new page, and try to define them each from memory. The ones I can't recall, get carried forward to next week, so it's sort of a low-tech version of spaced repetition.
Since I travel for work, I paid a few dollars more for something durable and sharp-looking, like so, but if you watch the back to school sales, you can probably find composition books for less than a dollar each, or spiral notebooks for 10¢.
You can't go wrong with a Pilot Precise V5.

You should check the Amazon comments, they are so funny!!
Avoid C and D-ring binders - if you're not careful, you can easily damage the cards in the column nearest the rings. You might be careful, but others that look through it won't always be.
Use side-loading pages - it makes it harder to steal from you and are much less likely to have cards slide out and get damaged while the binder is in your bag or whatever.
I use these for any binder I take with me to tournaments (I admittedly use a d-ring at home for staples that are not for trade). If you use one of these, sleeve cards that go into the pockets as the waffled pages can leave marks on the backs of cards.
YAY! :D let me think.... I'll add things to this post as I think of them.

We tend to use an Ergotron mount with a notebook tray. Sometimes there have been issues with getting a binder to stay on the stand, in which case a sheet of luan is added to give further support. The Ergotron should come with mounts that can either be screwed into a desk or a clamp that can be attached to something.
This is a solution that can be made to work with a variety of consoles. In the photos linked below (featuring a very handsome former intern and current redditor) you will see the stand used with a Studer Vista console. The other monitor on that mount is the console overview screen.
Some of the rental shops have also custom fabricated script trays for consoles that have slightly more space on their surface, but I don't think that there's a practical use on a Vi series.
One last thing... light. At times we have attached a LittleLite (the older model, where the light was removable from the round base) to the script tray. We'd then cable tie the power to the arm so that it didn't dangle or get caught as the script was moved. You can kind of make out the light in the pictures, but it's a little hard to see.

Same calc that I have but I paid around $12 at Walmart. Does everything you need to do that doesn't require complex graphing or data analysis (at that point you should be using Matlab anyway).

A high quality mechanical pencil
I'd love to hear what other folks are using. Ideally, I'd like a case that can fit a total of 16-20 fountain pens, but hopefully with a smaller footprint. The 96-slot Global Art Leather Pencil Case is almost perfect... but they changed their design since I bought mine and they now have only one loop per slot instead of two. (I utilize both loops for smaller things, like pencil leads, wax stamps, etc.)
My current case contains the following items, but as you can see I'm just about out of room!

Side A: Pencils

Side B: Fountain Pens

This is the one i have.
I bought this one. I'm very pleased with it.

The metal version by Pentel: GraphGear 500: 4-pack of 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm and 0.9mm for $20. Individually sold at stores for $10-$20 each. They're okay, and people like the metal look, but I prefer the Staedtler.
The good stuff: rOtring. rOtring 600: $23. rOtring 800: $50.
I haven't tried the rOtring pencils myself; I've heard they're good, but I've been pretty happy with the Staedtlers. Although they're the cheapest I mentioned, they're also very comfortable and reliable. I've never had one fail (I have had Pentel pencils fail, including but not limited to the ones I linked), and I've been using them for years.
Make sure you get a decent mechanical eraser to go with them. A Tombow MONO zero in an amazing eraser for the details, and a Sanford Paper Mate Tuff Stuff is good for everything else. Buy an extra pack of the refills and you're good for a while. Note: Do not buy the Sanford eraser for more than $5. The price on Amazon right now is ridiculous. The Tombow is a little more pricy; $5-$10 is fair for it.
Pentel and Uni ... peasants. Best one I’ve found also not on a college budget

Best price for the Rotring 800 was in the middle of July during Prime Day, about 20 dollars from Amazon and another 3rd party seller. I got mine around that time.

My two favorite "non-fountain pen" pens:
Best disposable gel pen: http://www.jetpens.com/Pentel-EnerGel-Euro-Needle-Point-Gel-Ink-Pen-0.5-mm-Black/pd/6265
Best disposable rollerball: http://www.jetpens.com/Morning-Glory-Mach-3-Roller-Ball-Pen-0.38-mm-Black/pd/11347
Now, I usually use fountain pens, because they're the best writing instrument. ;) So, how do you feel about starting to use fountain pens? They have so many advantages over traditional ballpoint/gel/rollerball pens. Let me know if you're interested and I can send over some starting recommendations.
And how do you feel about needlepoint pens like the two I linked above? I like them because they feel more precise on paper, and I also like the needle tip aesthetically over the traditional conical tip.
If you're not willing to purchase from an online retailer (No affiliation with Jetpens! Just a happy customer), I would suggest a Pilot Precise V5 or a Uniball Signo 207, both of which can be found for relatively cheap at Walmart and the like. The V5 is a solid rollerball that's super popular, for good reason. It's dependable, super smooth, and a buttery writer. The Uniball is very similar to the G2, but I find it to be much smoother. So maybe you can give either of these a shot?

Other people may recommend a Parker Jotter or a Fischer Space Pen, but I HATE ballpoint pens. But if that's your thing, give it a shot. These two are more permanent pens which you'll refill.

My dad was a merchant marine and he has always sworn by his Fisher Space Pen. It writes at any angle, including upside down and any temperature (-30f to 250f). It has an all metal construction and generally looks badass.
Just get a VoIP adapter like the OBi110. It has native Google Voice integration.
The reviews for Bic "For Her" pens are amazing. I'm a huge fan of sarcasm and feminism so they're right up my alley.

A Moleskine is one of these.
I have two favorite kinds of pens.
Pentel RSVP Fine It's a ballpoint, writes smoothly, comfortable to hold, last a long time. Also you can get tiny adorable ones with keyrings on them. And colors. It's my favorite for writing on paper.
Pilot Precise V-5, Extra Fine Ink pens, I use these mostly for drawing, but they're unfailingly smooth and write nicely too. I usually buy them a dozen at a time. I got hooked on them at my last job.

I would recommend using KMC Perfect Fit sleeves. They are great for double sleeving, and for storing cards in a binder. Also, make sure not to use a 3 ring binder with the loose ultra pro plastic pages, the rings can damage your cards over time. Use a side loading binder like This.
I use an Ultra Pro 9-pocket binder, the one with a plastic cover and not the leather one. I love this binder because the cover is sturdy, even when I accidently left it on a very hot power adapter and the cover was still okay. The pockets are side loading so it is better for a trade binder, not to call out people but it is harder to take out the cards without someone noticing. The backing on the pages are black so it makes the cards look nicer. However, the black backing are not acid-free so you still want to use sleeves for the cards in there. Lastly, the four pocket binders tend to put a bend in the cards on the spine when you fill it up, which can pose a problem to your cards.
Here is a very helpful video I watched before deciding on a binder:

Channel Fireball is having a good sale right now, here is the link for the supplies section:
http://store.channelfireball.com/2014_spring_sale_supplies
> Those cardinal binders look nice, but are awfully expensive on Amazon for me.
You're telling me, lol. I bought them at Walmart for $10 each, but spread over time as I needed them. You obviously won't need a plethera of binders if you're starting from scratch, although keep in mind supplies ARE ALWAYS expensive, you're just noticing it because you need it all at the same time.
> what sleeves do you recommend?
For your 3-ring binder, I use the exact ones you linked. The more you buy at a single time, the cheaper they are. I usually buy 2,000 at a time. They are perfect for 9-pocket pages.
A trade binder, to me, is one of those ultra pro/monster binders you were referring to in your older post Like This. If you aren't planning on going to locals and trading with fellow players, don't even worry about it. If you're just going about starting a personal collection, get a smaller 3-ring binder for valuables and a bigger one for collection. I personally do not recommend lugging a small 3-ring binder around to locals and tournaments to trade because the cards can fall out of the pages if you aren't careful.
I personally use this one.
I'm curious also, he says "Triple Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arms"
I think he means 3x Ergotron Lx Desk Mount Arms. 134$ each!
http://www.ergotron.com/ProductsDetails/tabid/65/PRDID/351/language/en-US/Default.aspx
http://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-Desk-Mount-Tall-45-295-026/dp/B00689HXI4/
I think what you want is an Ergotron LX Mount but they're pretty pricey. HOWEVER, there are unbranded ones (branded by HP, but totally 100% ergotron) for almost half the price here. I have 3 of them and they support my giant Crossover 27Q. I can go from portrait to landscape just by grabbing the monitor and spinning it. I highly recommend them.
You also may want to check out some of the Monoprice offerings here for even less money. I had the dual one for around 60$, but it only moved side to side- not up and down.
i went with 2 of these guys http://www.amazon.com/Desk-Mount-LCD-Tall-Pole/dp/B00689HXI4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_25?
with the 2 separate tall poles i can stack my monitors on top of each other if needed and in general have a lot more variety of where the screens go. and one easily holds my 34" 21:9 LG so they are strong enough for probably any newer monitor.
im sure there are cheaper versions that work as well too as the linked ones are a bit pricey.
http://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-Desk-Mount-Tall-45-295-026/dp/B00689HXI4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_op_1
There are these, which have a 12" post. For me personally none of those options were tall enough so I ended up getting two of the standard ergotron arms with 6" posts and simply replaced them with ~$20 in plumbing piping from home depot. Overall it ended up being cheaper and taller than anything else out there.
The ergotron short and tall post versions are rated for 24" monitors according the the tech specs, but on a weight basis with the max being 20lbs. I have a 27" IPS monitor which only weighs 14LBS and it works great on one of these arms. Although I'm told that some older and thicker ( > 2 inches ) LCD monitors have a different center of gravity and that can sometimes be too much for the spring. Most newer monitors seem to be closer to half an inch and getting lighter all the time.
Casio FX 115ES Plus. I've been using it for a while its saves me a lot of time when doing multiple cross products and solving simultaneous equations (because you know, aintnobodygottimefothat!). It also has more features that you would find helpful. Another contender is the TI-36X Pro (recommended here quite often although I've never used it).
For a calculator, I'd recommend a scientific calculator+wolfram (I like thisone). For notes, I tend to keep one notebook for each course+loose leaf for homework.
let me introduce you to the best calculator i've ever used,
http://www.amazon.ca/Casio-FX-115ES-Plus-Scientific-Calculator/dp/B007W7SGLO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1457070600&sr=8-1&keywords=casio+115es+plus
it can do complex arithmetic, definite integrals, matrix calculations.
anything you realistically need to do, this calculator does it for me.
This is the one I use: Casio fx-115ES PLUS
$13 and does 99% of what I need it to do. Anything it can't do I just plug into Wolfram Alpha.
I used two calculators in my algebra, trig, calculus, and stats classes:
(1) TI-89. I just got the most basic model I could find on craigslist. It cost me $50. I'll probably be able to sell it for $50 if I ever want to get rid of it. It's handy to keep around just in case. It is useful for calculus because it is the cheapest TI calculator that can solve derivatives, integrals, differential equations (etc) symbolically.
(2) Casio fx-115ES. This is a scientific calculator, and I find myself using it whenever I need a calculator. It has a pretty intuitive interface that can save you from dozens of parenthesis when writing a long expression. Also, it can do definite integrals and evaluate the derivative of an expression at a given x value.
I find that when I want to do graphing or statistics or whatnot, I usually end up using a computer. As such, I haven't touched my TI-89 in a while. I mostly use it to loan out to friends and other students.
Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and pick up a sheet of plexiglass or other transparent sheet to put over it, that helps to deal with the overall flimsy nature of the paper.
Another person mentioned presentation paper - There are some pretty nice pads for about $40. I went to an educational supply store and got essentially the same type of thing for a better price per sheet.

I used the giant grid paper easel pads for LMOP: https://smile.amazon.com/Standard-3-Hole-Punched-Sheets-Carton/dp/B00AQDGJRO It worked really well except for the last map. That place is HUGE. If I were doing it again, I'd do what I'm doing for Storm King's Thunder: I'm drawing sections out on 8.5x11 grid paper and rubber-cementing them to cardstock. This is letting me put them together and take them apart like puzzle pieces, and it's working much better.
It depends how much work you want to put into it! Drawing it as you go (or describing it and watching/correcting the players' drawing) is easy and works just fine. I prefer being able to include more details and colors, so I went out and bought a few pads of 1-inch graph easel paper and spend some time drawing out each section of a dungeon. As the players explore, I put a new sheet down and occasionally use some scrap paper to cover up parts they can't see.

The most popular option would be the rOtring 800.
Though TWSBI Precision could be a cheaper alternative (I haven't hold one of this, so I can't say how heavy/sturdy it feels)
Maybe you could be interested in a lead holder as well? I personaly love my Staedtler 2.0mm Silver Series if line weight is not an issue at least.
The only place on the page it says used is the "used & new from $22.17", which means that you can get it used for cheaper if you want. this one itself is unused
*EDIT* if you go to https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00AZWNS84/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all it clearly marks the $28.49 one from amazon as new
Some of us engineers care about our pencils! Especially if it's a Rotring 800
I've got the Perixx DX-2000XXL. It's big enough for my mouse and keyboard to comfortably fit, and to provide a bit of cushion for my wrists. Super grippy bottom and nicely stitched edges.
It's been easy to clean (doesn't really pick up much dust/dirt) and was pretty cheap compared to some of the other offerings.
I have dual sticks, not have a HOTAS, but I think my setup is still relevant.
I've been toying with the idea of making fold-away holders for my sticks that attach to my chair but it's probably a pipe-dream. I use my computer and desk mainly for work... so any solution has to be removable or tucked away for non-playtime. But until then... this is how I do it:
A year or so ago, someone on this sub suggested Scotch Restickable Dots. I attach 3-4 to the base of each stick and plant them firmly on the mouse pad. I also have many under the mouse pad to keep it secured to the desk top.
Works well for me. I simply pick up the sticks and put them off to the side when I'm done. I remove the Dots from the bases and put them on top of the bases to keep them from sticking to the desk elsewhere. I also cover my sticks when not in use (I have cats)... so the Dots remain fairly clean.
Oh, and the Dots are washable... so you can "refresh" them if they loose their stickiness.
EDIT: Silver Model is $208.08. However its the G247HU, and is 24".
THERE IS NO VESA MOUNT - Buy an adapter for it here
If you're like me, and you just want a simple 1440p monitor, I'd say this is a great value option. Ticks a lot of boxes for me.
I love the Gorilla Glue double sided tape I use it to hold phone holders on my dash, and dash cams to windshield. Holds up well in hot summer and cold winter.
edit: I linked to the Light weight version, I am using the heavy duty version
heavy duty double sided tape
> What is something really strong I can buy that will hold the camera?
Gorilla Heavy Duty Mounting Tape ($6-7 USD)
I really like this size for a mousepad; my keyboard rests on top of it and so I can always keep the keyboard and mouse lined up. When I was using a separate pad for just the mouse there was always an issue trying to slide the mouse right up next to the keyboard - either the mousepad pushes up against the keyboard and risks sliding under it, or they come apart and then it's the mouse sliding off of the pad.
I've got this one.
I bought several of these when they were on sale for $6.99 they are $10.99 currently. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F0XHA5E/
They are 900mm x 400mm x 2mm (35.4 x 15.7 x 0.1). Stiched edges, good quality.
Yes, it has a map of the world on it but, now I can tell people "I can see Russia from my mouse.". I also use one under my dogs food and water dishes, that one gets washed probably once a week. So far it still looks good as new and none of the stiching has come loose.
It’s a nice one for $11 on amazon.

INTRODUCTION
You are probably wondering what qualifies me to hold these opinions on this topic. Well, I have been gaming on PC for nearly a decade since I started playing minecraft alpha in the 6th grade. I built my first PC in the 8th grade, and since then I have helped build over a dozen systems for friends an family members and friends of family members and family members of friends. Building PCs is one of my favorite things to do, and I am always looking to help more people to make the switch in a cost effective manner.
First off, here is some gameplay from a 1050ti and an i5 7400. These components are more than adequate to surpass 144fps at stretched res and low settings. His whole channel has game play vids of his hardware running popular pc games, and the 1050ti is a little powerhouse for its size. This PC can do much more than run fortnite. It is perfect for competitive CSGO too. Really, this pc will have no problems running competitive shooters and MOBAS at 144fps, and RPGs at 60fps.
While this pc might not be the fastest pc out there, the important part is that it is leagues better than a console. If not for the simple fact that you can turn off shadows and play stretched res, never mind that it averages 144 fps.
.
.
THE BUILD
.
.
Here is the pc part picker list. The 8100 i3 is 11% faster than the 7400 i5 in that video. If you are worried about actually building a PC, don't be. I built my first rig when I was in the 8th grade, and it took less than an hour and booted first time. This video is a great tutorial. Even though the components they are using are different, PC hardware is standardized and the build process is the exact same.
I would get that PC and worry about peripherials later, assuming you already have a computer monitor of some kind at home along with a shitty mouse and keyboard. And if you already game with headphones on your console, there are adapters you can use to plug your console headset into your pc.
.
.
WHAT TO GET NEXT
.
.
Everything after this point is non critical, but will make your experience so much better. I put them in order of importance to your game play experience.
MONITOR
The next purchase you should make after that is this AOC 144hz gsync compatible monitor. Its a great panel, and the gsync works great for eliminating micro stutter and screen tearing. "But /u/RedZaturn, why would you get 144hz when 240hz is a thing!?!?!?" Well timmy, a good 240hz adaptive sync monitor costs almost as much as this entire PC. And whats the point of spending $400 on a monitor that you PC can't even come close to properly utilizing? A build that can properly run fortnite at 240hz is gonna cost closer to $1000, and add in a $400 monitor and the price gets steep quick. Just get a 144hz monitor and stop worrying about it.
**MOUSE AND PAD*
After that, get a good mouse with a decent sensor. Optical mice are generally better than laser mice. The m65 is a good FPS style mouse and your scroll wheel click, scroll up, scroll down, thumb forward, and thumb backward are all assignable.A large mouse pad that takes up your entire desk is also a good thing to get. When playing shooters, you want your DPI to be much less sensitive than what your average non gamer has their mouse set to. This allows you to be much more accurate, and the lower your sens the more room you need to move your mouse.
MECHANICAL KEEB
After that, Get a mechanical keyboard with the switch of your choice. I prefer reds. Cherry MX switches are the most trusted out there, but any mechanical switch will be better than a membrane keyboard.
OPENING THE SAILS TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF WINDOWS
If you have an old windows pc lying around you can use the key off of the sticker on the case to activate pirated windows. If the activate windows watermark doesn't bother you, there is no point worrying about buying a legitimate copy.
.
.
CONCLUSION**
.
.
Basically, building a PC isn't a sprint. You don't have to buy all the top end gear to have a better experience than what you get on a console. Streamers like ninja and tfue have their crazy powerful systems because they make crazy amounts of money. But it is completely overkill for what they play. And upgrading components slowly over time is how I did it almost a decade ago. I stuffed a GPU into my super old and slow PC just to get 60fps in counter strike source. Played on a shitty mouse and keyboard that my school threw out and I snagged from the trash. Used an old plasma vga monitor from a PC my dad bought in 2003 that looked absolutely horrible. And I loved every second of it. If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments!

There you go. Heads up, it's a little thin. I ended up buying a different one about a year later.
so r/calligraphy is really helpful. YouTube ideas of “brush pen calligraphy” is also really helpful. I recommend buying yourself a nice brush pen or two off Amazon or from Michael’s. The company Tombow makes the most popular ones. You can PM me at any time if you have any questions about what brush pens to buy, but I recommend starting off by buying brush pens, googling “brush pen calligraphy guide” and just getting started practicing! It’s REALLY easy once you train your hand. All it is is a matter of muscle memory teaching your hand when to press the brush pen down for thick lines and how to lighten your grip on the pen as you make upward strokes. The more you look at examples and practice practice practice the easier it’ll get because your muscle memory will retain how to write letters with different levels of pressure.
I can link you to the pen I used in this photo: Tombow 62038 Fudenosuke Brush Pen, 2-Pack. Soft and Hard Tip Fudenosuke Brush Pens for Calligraphy and Art Drawings https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M71S9DU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kSEKBbVJSVZD5
Only $5 so very affordable for 2 of them. They’re both the same pen but one of them has a more stiff brush tip and one has a more soft brush tip, so you can play around with both and see what works best for you.
Ask r/calligraphy for tips and post your work there to get some constructive criticism to keep improving! If you go to my post history you can see that I once had some pretty shaky calligraphy. But that was back in March. In only a few months, I’ve improved a lot. It’s a pretty easy hobby to pick up and comes in handy to make any letter, or notes, or sign, come out gorgeous :)
Good luck! PM me if you have any more questions. Please don’t hesitate to. It’s reddit that got me into r/bulletjournal which in turn lead me to calligraphy so I want to pass on the favor to other redditors as well. Reddit has introduced me to so many cool hobbies! I’d love to do the same to other people who are curious.
I love these but even they may be too thick. Pentel Arts Sign Pen Touch, Fude Brush Tip, 12 Assorted Colors in Marker Stand (SES15CPC12) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EN0HCH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OTQ4Db4YCE4BH
Ooh! The other one might be the Tombow small brush pen Tombow 62038 Fudenosuke Brush Pen, 2-Pack. This one is probably more likely to give you what you want.
Seconding the Signo. For the black I recommend the Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen. Those are all what I use, pure white on pure black.

I purchased this for my group. It's 1 inch grid paper.
You can draw whatever you want on it and make 1 inch 5 feet. It's pretty large so it's easy to see what's going on, and allows for BIG map design of you increase the moment per inch.

You can also steel a page from the other Matt. Mercer uses easel graph paper and predraws the maps where the encounters will take place, laying out the disposable sheet for that engagement and tossing it when the encounter is completed. This tends to be a bit more costly at $40 - $50 per pad, but it does remain an option.
I've got a flip map, couple of them. And the tiles. I keep going back to the tiles. I also have a 36inch wide format color printer/plotter that helps. Also look into easel paper. They sell pads of it with a 1 inch grid.

There's also specifically designed products like a battlemats: http://www.chessex.com/mats/Battlemats_Megamats.htm
I bought these from amazon a few years back for use as battlemaps. They have served me well.
I'm close with my Rotring 600 FP, 800 mechanical pencil, and ballpoint pen. I also have the semi-matching Rotring plastic stick eraser.
This is the one I ordered the second time:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AZWNS84/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_I6dWE4Xiyuxwl
It doesn't say anything about metal internals, but since it became available more recently (only after the one I ordered the first time ran out of stock) I guessed it might be the new one... no idea if it will be the right one for other people. The return process was easy enough and cost me nothing, though.
The rotring 800 is pretty much indestructible. The tip retracts so as not to get damaged. https://www.amazon.com/rOtring-Retractable-Mechanical-Pencil-1904447/dp/B00AZWNS84/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=3GUCU20GYLG9U&keywords=rotring+800&qid=1551019864&s=gateway&sprefix=Rotring&sr=8-2

Get whatever size fits you best. Absolutely loving this mousepad and it's so cheap. Stitched edges too so no fraying/peeling.
10$ over your budget, but I use this and it is huge. http://www.amazon.com/Perixx-DX-2000XXL-Gaming-Control-Mouse/dp/B00GB0IFXM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1406659017&sr=8-3&keywords=perixx+dx-2000.

That looks like a low priced knock-off of this Perixx DX-2000 XXL Mouse Pad. Same size, thickness, and even the seems around the edge are stitched similarly.
I would argue that the extended size Perixx is one of the best looking pads around. Certainly better than that god awful Razer pad.
As for the quality, I have the "Large" version, which is quite a nice pad. Feels good, there isnt any extra resistance when moving the mouse, nor is there too little resistance. It's got the same clean look. The only real downside I have with it, is that it rather minimally slides around on my desk as I have it positioned. Although a simple readjustment and that problem is remedied. The huge extended size one I doubt would have that issue, seeing as it is massive and should get stuck in place.
Perixx. They make a few sizes. Same price as TekMat cleaning mats.

I think it's something like this although it doesn't have the text in the upper right. It's those dimensions though, 900mm by 300mm.
I have this one and have no complaints. It's roughed up a little but I've also had it for like 2 years.
I was the same so i bought this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perixx-DX-2000XXL-Gaming-Control-Mouse/dp/B00GB0IFXM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1422608832&sr=8-3&keywords=DX-2000 - It has a little logo but not as obvious as razers. Hope this helps :)
Depends what size you want. I'd just look on Amazon and check out the ones with the most reviews and just go from there. I'm personally using this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GB0IFXM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A313151JUUD897
$20 for a big mousepad. You can't go wrong really. Far better value than anything razer sells which is all overpriced.
No, you have to purchase an adapter:
https://smile.amazon.com/Adapter-Bracket-Monitors-G227HQL-G247HYL/dp/B01771Q6U2/
I can't seem to find any in-depth, professional reviews about this monitor. PC Part Picker's list of monitors that are at least 1440p tells me the G257HU is the cheapest one it knows, and it's been like that for months.
There's no VESA mount, but there are adapters for that; this one is $32.
Vesa Mount Adapter for your monitor.
FYI, you can get a VESA adaptor for that monitor since the stand sucks so bad. I had that monitor myself for about a year and a half. I ended up selling it and buying a refurbished dell u2515h instead (same panel, better stand and I/O and comes with VESA mounts). Then I bought a second one on a really good /r/buildapcsales deal and then mounted them both.
Is this VESA mountable? I can't find any pics to say it is.
Edit: No it's not, found the adapter for it though
https://www.amazon.com/VESA-Mount-Adapter-Bracket-Monitors/dp/B01771Q6U2?th=1&psc=1
The reason I have not considered doing the plate myself is because I'm almost certain I won't get them in the same exact spot on multiple monitors. On a triple arm it would be a big deal but I suppose I could get single arms and line them up individually.
I have the same mount as you. Someone else in the thread mentioned that this one will also work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01771Q6U2
But you have to shave some of the plastic off on the monitor itself. I'm ordering two tonight and will give them a shot instead of the one where it just holds the arm in place.

Acer R240HY bidx 23.8-Inch

Thanks, mate! I'm using this Vivo mount and since this monitor isn't VESA compatible, I had to get this adapter as well.

What about something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Command-Picture-Hanging-16-Pairs-PH204-16ES/dp/B073XS3CHV?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1
Or this:
https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Heavy-Double-Mounting-Inches/dp/B019HT1U9E

Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape, 1 Inch x 60 Inches, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019HT1U9E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ifYHDbBDFPAP9
The pocket clip is a Nite Ize Hipclip and I used Double Sided Gorilla Tape to stick the two halves of the bit kit together.
You could try a speaker mount like this, this or this. I wouldn't recommend drilling into the device to mount to it but it should be light enough that you could 2 sided tape it to the mount.
Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape, 1 Inch x 60 Inches, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019HT1U9E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_agcKDb57HPFPR
No issues. Use this stuff all the time, holds a lot of weight. I've used this set for 4 months and it survived me going on vacation too.
https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Heavy-Double-Mounting-Inches/dp/B019HT1U9E
Just stick the device to the back of the TV and then use some twist ties to manage the extra cable.
You can use double sided tape like this, or you can opt for removable hooks and put up canvas pictures.
This has worked out really well for me, and it isn't that expensive. I've had it for around 4 months.

this is the one I recently bought. been loving it so far.
this is the best I could find in Canada, though if you're located in the US, this is probably better because it has no branding at all.
It's not quite as large, but this mouse mat has no branding, pretty good reviews and it has stitched edges like the mat from Glorious PC Gaming. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AS8ROZ2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_EK2wzbD57WS4X
It's theKazaira extended mouse pad. It's a little thicker than normal mouse pads, which is nice, and it doesn't have any logo distracting my more minimal look. I'm glad you like your set up! It's awesome for sure! :)

Of course! In this video I mostly used my tombow brush pen hard tip, here is a link: https://www.amazon.com/Tombow-62038-Fudenosuke-Calligraphy-Drawings/dp/B01M71S9DU
And the yellow one is just a tombow brush pen, but I think you are familiar with that one.
I felt the same when I first started. I'm still not the best but with lots of practice, Ive learned to love it! I haven't quite perfected using the Tombow Duel brush pens but I really like using just the Tombow pens with a hard or soft tip! You can find there here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M71S9DU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_35HDzbY161A1C hope this helps :)
They usually come in a pack of both if you get them from an art supply store. I’m sure they have the two pack on amazon. The hard tips just have a stiffer tip for finer control. It’s a lot easier for me to get consistent line width with the hard tips compared to the soft ones.
You can draw with anything my dude. The world is your oyster.

Does she like to do paintings, pen drawings, hand-lettering, markers, tape, collage, or just a vanilla bujo, etc? There are sooo many ways to do a bujo so it's hard to recommend something general that she'll like but doesn't have yet haha. I'm going to assume she either likes to do hand-lettering or marker drawings since she was trying a Tombow blender.
If she mostly writes or does ink drawings - Copic or Micron multiliners in different sizes. The Pentel Pocket Brush is also very good for getting interesting lines down on line art or to combine with watercolor painting, but I don't recommend it as a hand-lettering pen.
Do you know what kind of pen she usually does her normal writing in? A lot of bujo-ers have kind of a favorite brand of cheap-ish pen that they like to use (Muji being one of the more popular ones). If you do, you could get her a fresh package.
If she likes to use markers - well, Tombows are pretty much the de facto bujo marker, even if the blender isn't too good. If she already has some, you could maybe take a peek at her collection and see if there are any colors she doesn't have but might like. For coloring, I also like Brushables markers because they're very pastel/soft, and Zebra Mildliners for highlighting stuff.
If she likes doing paintings and pasting them into her journal, you could get her some watercolor paper.
If she likes using decorative tape, you can find the washi tape aisle at Michaels and pick out some stuff.......but honestly it's way cheaper on Amazon. You can also try looking for flake stickers on Etsy, there are SO many options there, too!
If she likes hand-lettering, my favorite brush pen is the fudenosuke.
She may also like some small rubber stamps (for dates or tiny decorative details like floral wreathes), or stencils (especially for dates or circles).
My absolute most favorite pen to just write with day to day is a Lamy Safari fountain pen, if she's interested in that kind of thing (although that's a very expensive path to go down lol).
The one item that I would be willing to get for pretty much any bujo-er, without knowing their current collection of supplies or what they like to do, would be the fudenosuke pen (they sell it at Michaels, too). They're not refillable, so even if she already has this pen she'll likely need a replacement before too long.
Brush pens are difficult, I didn't intend for you to learn to draw with one, I apologize.
Peter Han is the original creator and instructor of the "Dynamic Sketching" class that is popular for many artists learning today. The creator of Drawabox.com, "Uncomfortable", studied under Han and created the curriculum of Drawabox to be based on Peter Han's instruction, but more simplified and rigid for brand-new students. Both Han and Uncomfortable urge students to learn in pen.
It builds line confidence ,and urges you to think before placing something down. As you build line confidence and critical visualization, you rely less on the guess-work of pencil drawing, and digital-with-undo.
So, better to start off that way and force your brain to catch up, I think.
As for pens, I've been enjoying Tombow hybrid brush pens.
https://www.amazon.com/Tombow-62038-Fudenosuke-Calligraphy-Drawings/dp/B01M71S9DU/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=tombow+brush+pens&qid=1570844600&sr=8-5
They're not actual brushes, more like miniature marker pens. They create very fine lines, like a fineliner, but when you press more firmly you can get some shape to your stroke.
Otherwise, Pigma Micron 08's and Faber Castell .05's are both good and recommended often. Drawabox even sells sets of its own personally recommended pens.
If you want to browse recommendations, check out Jake Parker's blog page, the creator of Inktober:
https://www.mrjakeparker.com/tools
I love Jake Parker, he has such a great temperament. He founded SVSLearn.com with some other great children's book artists, and they have a lot of good instruction.
I'm personally working through the curriculum that I created. I've done Proko's Figure Drawing course, Drawabox up until Lesson 7, and Marco Bucci's "Understanding and Painting the Head".
Now that I've created the curriculum, I will be going through Drawabox again but paying for critique to make sure that I have the best evaluation of my skillset before moving on to more difficult things.
And to answer your original question again, I don't think either medium would hamper your growth. Digital allwos some nice conveniences, like laying down perspective lines really quickly and being able to try out painting without a mess.
But physical is still just as valid, and I still prefer going physical. Dynamic sketching at the zoo with some pens and markers is tons of fun, and I do think it requires the most thoughtful process.
For the lettering I used the this tombow brush pen (soft tip), and stabilo fineliners for the flowers!
Edit: I haven’t posted much on reddit so forgive my formatting! ><
I think its probably the pen you're using. A lot of them have what's called archival ink, so once it dries on the paper (like 2 seconds) nothing else is gonna wash them away.
Micron Pens are really great.
These are my favorite right now:

I use this SteelSeries Mousepad, and I absolutely love it 100%. It's high quality, has a great feel, and is the perfect thickness for me. For your setup, I'm actually thinking you could rock an XL pad that goes under both your mouse and keyboard. While SteelSeries does have a couple basic XL and XXL mousepads, you could always get a Corsair pad, or go and get yourself something RGB. Totally see where you're coming from in terms of not finding any that you like. I know that you can probably get one custom made, or something with a design that complements your case/controller color schemes. Just a couple ideas to get you started, but I feel like it will end up being a simple, yet highly impactful, addition to your setup.
Again, that means it's a YMMV thing. Not saying you or any of those other people didn't experience this. Furthermore it's got a 4.5 star rating over 487 ratings on Amazon. Here is the Mousepad It’s full RGB and I love it.
A small journal is all you need. If you want a good one that will last a campaign or three, pick up a moleskine or something of similar quality.
If you're the kind of group that insists on using laptops at the table, Microsoft OneNote is perfect. But you should put the laptops away. They don't solve as many problems as you'd think.

Here is what I typically carry on a normal day.
Can't go wrong with a Moleskine notebook. I just bought myself one for Christmas.
https://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Precise-Stick-Rolling-35334/dp/B00006IEBI 💪👍
Hi! I've been wanting to get a decent fountain pen for a while but I always get kind of scared away by all the different things (how to pick a nib, a pen, what kind of refill strategy to use, etc). I'm hoping someone can recommend me everything I need.
Here's everything I can think to mention to help:
Thanks to anyone that can help me out!
I have two types of pens that I use. The first is the Pilot V5 which is a gel ball point pen http://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Precise-Stick-Rolling-Extra/dp/B00006IEBI
The second type is Sakura Micron pens which an assorted set can be found here http://www.amazon.com/Sakura-30062-6-Piece-Pigma-Micron/dp/B0008G8G8Y/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1370448156&amp;sr=8-1-spell&amp;keywords=macron+pen
Hope this helps and good luck!
A Pilot G-2, it's an excellent pen, very smooth. One thing you can do is turn it into a Montblanc ballpoint by buying the MontBlanc ballpoint refills. They slide right in!
Another one is the Pilot Precise V5, not a ballpoint, but a rollerball. Basically a fountain pen without the nice nib, and without the cleaning. I think they come in various sizes but the one I have is in EF
I've got a couple of nice pens - a fountain pen and a nice cartridge pen - but I get more use out of the Pilot Precise V5 extra fine rollerball pens. I love those pens more than just about any other pen I've used.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00006IEBI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ecNTCbAWD8CPM
I have to say the Pilot Precise V5 is my go to pen. Does not skip, writes smoothly, don't have to press, doesn't run, and is precise. It's perfect.
I love my Precise V5s, but they're not refillable. What kind of pen were you looking for? (Gel/Ballpoint/Rollerball)
Quit squeezing your pen so hard. Really focus on not holding it so tightly.
Try using liquid ink pens (fountain pens are good for this, so are pens like this and experiment with writing without putting pressure on the paper or squeezing the pen. Try holding it [like this.(http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/uploads/monthly_05_2007/post-6336-1179647944.jpg)
If you want quick, I'd recommend the M4B. I used to carry the Bullet when I'm out in the field, but have since swapped to the clicky so I don't have to worry about losing the cap or clip. I may swap to the Skilcraft B3 multipen in the future, throwing in the Space Pen UF refills.

Since Razer was brought up, as it usually is, my experience with a Vespula has been good. It has two surface styles, one slick and the other with light texture. The whole thing is at a nice height for both work and play, but the mouse surface and wrist rest are separate so you can do without if preferred. The one negative (other than the name) is the wrist rest decal, which will peel off in chunks given half a chance. I don't know what they were thinking with that. Will it improve your game? Hard to say, but I think you'll find it nice to have a quality, dedicated space available when spending that much time with a mouse.
I also own a Logitech mx518 and it's been solid as well. The key feature is being able to adjust the sensitivity on the fly.
I like the Razer Vespula
It's hard top pad, dual sided and includes a wrist pad. Not as gaudy as most of the Razer line either. Also pretty cheap for what it is.
https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Vespula-Dual-Sided-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B0036WTBFY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1500585320&amp;sr=8-5&amp;keywords=razer+mouse+pad
Razer pad with wrist rest. I just got it about a week ago and frankly I love this thing. It doesn't make playing the games any easier but I have noticed I can play for longer.
Thats pretty cheap for a gaming mouse pad. Take a look at this thing
Razer Vespula, come with a cushion for your rest, but I like it better without it.

Are you using a phone adapter thing, like this http://www.amazon.com/OBi110-Service-Bridge-Telephone-Adapter/dp/B0045RMEPI/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&amp;coliid=IOIIG7CQMOV77&amp;colid=2ZDNU5ATBRQUK or do you just use your computer for calls? I have been thinking about switching to VOIP only, and loosing the cell phone. I have also considered getting a newer smart phone, and doing VOIP over WIFI, without cell service, but I am curious about your experience.
Ive ditched the phone cord for a prepaid cell phone that I use on the go, and for most calls I use a Obi110 and Google Voice. (4 months ongoing now)
Its lets me route all my calls from GV into the Obi for free (at least until Google decides its time to charge for it). You can use a normal landline phone with the Obi, or configure it to just use a smartphone as your "landline" phone via wifi or even plug in your existing phone system into the device and have the option of either. Obi -> Obi calls are free and you can even (with permissions) dial another Obi device and use THAT phone system to make calls from.
Anyway, I probably use my cellphone for maybe 100 minutes a month and the rest of my phone use is at home. Pretty cheap and I don't feel limited by minutes. I also don't need to have a computer running 24/7 in order to recieve calls.
If you have the internet you can always get:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045RMEPI/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?t=slickdeals&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;tag=slickdeals&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0045RMEPI
Which is $50 and will connect a land line to google voice for free US & Canada Calls.
This is for you. (Be sure to check the Customer Q&As!)
This is semi-similar to how I store my collection. What I do:
2 ZenBin trays per release set with one cover
1 of these books for 2 release sets of cards http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Pocket-Protector-Sleeves/dp/B004T2CBD4?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1&amp;redirect=true&amp;ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
How do I use only 2 trays per set you ask? the 'card' section of the ZenBins are perfect for storing a ton of dice. you can store 50 on the a single tray's rails and then 20 more in each card tray.
I've also had some issues with malformed dice making the trays not fit right, so I store 8 to a rail and the rest in the sides. it's not quite as neat but it works quite well and keeps the 'size' of the storage area down while making it easy enough to find particular dice.
Here's the math I did:
AVX 132 8 pages 38 dice 2 trays
UCX 126 8 pages 36 dice 2 trays
AOU 142 8 pages 44 dice 2 trays
ASM 142 8 pages 44 dice 2 trays
JL 138 8 pages 40 dice 2 trays
WOL 142 8 pages 44 dice 2 trays
BFF 138 8 pages 40 dice 2 trays
FUS 143 8 pages 45 dice 2 trays
assuming 28 sets of 4 dice per tray
I have had over the years several different ways, but the one I use today consists of several portfolio books/binders, three ring binders and ultra pro 9 card pages and two 4k card boxes.
I no longer maintain a trade binder. I did when I was younger and played more and frequently visited FNM and game nights. But now that I have moved in to more of a collector role I only play with close friends maybe once a month, so I don't really trade anymore (not sure if the kids still do these days). My trade binder disappeared when I really embraced selling off unnecessary items and started using buylists almost exclusively.
Since these days I do more buying of collections and selling to fund my own collecting I have a great deal of extra boxes, 5k card storage boxes and binders. These are just to organize the sales. Most of the time I sell them with the bulk and replenish with each purchase. From the collections over the years I've acquired a great deal of starter boxes, deck boxes, dividers, stickers, foam inserts, etc that I use in my own collection and to help organize the purchases. These have been some of the most interesting finds, just seeing what other people use to organize is interesting.
I've also purchased shelving from Home Depot to store my collection and the purchases I have going on. Each shelf is dedicated to shipping materials, empty boxes, my stuff or a purchase.
What I see mostly from the collections I acquire is that most use three ring binders for rares/mythics and either separate by color or just leave it to utter chaos (the latter being the worst as its usually shoes boxes and random plastic tubes full, which damage cards).
I like nine pocket Ultra Pro Binders along with any protective sleeve, I would only recommend top-loaders for really expensive, non-playable cards.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004T2CBD4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1
1 for empire (with plenty of room to spare).
1 for Rebel / Scum (with some room for more).
2 for non-ordnance upgrades.
+1 4-pocket binder for ordnance.
That covers core set + 3 conversion kits + reaper&saw
I think sleeve pages for a binder is fine. Though I'd suggest staying away from normal circular binders as the front and end pages could bend or get caught thus ruining those cards. This style of top loader binder is best. When you plan to upgrade I would suggest this Ultra Pro Pro-Binder.
The sleeves matter more than the binder, I'd suggest an Ultra Pro Pro-Binder. Pretty much the same as a Monster Binder, but a helluva lot cheaper! Monster binders are $30+.
Item found in add on wish list. My daughter steals my pens and takes the springs out of them making them useless :( my one and only pen is being held together by tape right now.
She looked at him, her breathing uneven and fast. Her feet were at the edge now, and he was right behind her. She knew she couldn't turn back. She turned back around, and as she peered over the edge, looking in to the darkness below, she felt his hand on her back and with a push he said, "...I don't know, fly casual".
I didn't get much at all back and had to use it for overdue bills. Fun stuff. If I had gotten a larger amount, I would have put it toward a road trip. I haven't had an out-of-town adventure in a long time!

Thanks for the contest :-)
Same experience, here. I noticed more doodles on my notes from when I was in between a medication swap (adderall to vyvanse, and the latter works amazingly for me). It's crazy how much different my note-taking styles are when on medication and when not.
For increased attention span, I also use these colored pens and plain computer paper to take notes in all my classes. I number the pages I write on, and then I copy the notes into a different notebook for each subject, for that extra-clean look. There's also the added bonus of having to rewrite the material, which helps retention. :D

Colorful pens!! $2.88!!
$2.88 Awezome pens for note taking this semester
Sounds like fun! I'll have to do this later
1.) Something that is grey: Pelican Gray Nail Polish. (on private WL)
2.) Something reminiscent of rain: Shower Curtain is a barrier between the bathroom tiles and cascading, rain-like, waterfall that flows from the showerhead. (on dream WL)
3.) Something food related that is unusual: Candy Mold. Chocolate frogs, anyone? (on under $5 WL)
4.) Something on your list that is for someone other than yourself. Tell me who it's for and why. (Yes, pets count!): Ice Cream Maker. No ice cream for me because I started keto last week. My friends and family would benefit from this when I make them some delicious ice cream. (on dream WL)
5.) A book I should read! I am an avid reader, so take your best shot and tell me why I need to read it!: The Knife of Never Letting Go. It's book one of the Chaos Walking trilogy, which has rave reviews. Apparently it's a dark, dystopian book full of suspense. (on high priority WL)
6.) An item that is less than a dollar, including shipping... that is not jewelry, nail polish, and or hair related!: Laser Finger Beams (not on WL)
7.) Something related to cats. I love cats! (keep this SFW, you know who you are...): Westside Warrior Nail Polish. Lions, which are really big cats, are warriors of the jungle. (on under $5 WL)
8.) Something that is not useful, but so beautiful you must have it: Origami Star Paper. I like folding these, but once I make them into stars, I literally have nothing to do with them. There's jars of them all across my house and all I can do is look at them (on under $5 WL)
9.) A movie everyone should watch at least once in their life. Why?: Song from Iron Man 3 Soundtrack. Everyone should see it because Iron Man + Tony Stark + RDJ = <3 (on digital WL)
10.) Something that would be useful when the zombies attack. Explain.: Spin-the-shot. If zombies attack, I would need to be drunk, so this would come in handy for some last minute fun before I turn into a brain eating zombie. Let's face it, I'm not surviving a zombie attack... (on $5-$10 WL)
11.) Something that would have a profound impact on your life and help you to achieve your current goals: Coconut Oil. Everyone on the keto subreddit raves about this stuff. Being a newbie to this lifestyle, I feel that if so many people had great results using this oil, that it would help with my goals. (on $11-$25 WL)
12.) One of those pesky Add-On items: Anti-stress face mask (not surprisingly, found on my add-on WL)
13.) The most expensive thing on your list. Your dream item. Why?: Globe Bar. I would feel like a super cool James Bond-esque spy who would have a secret room hidden behind a bookshelf. Plus I love alcohol and globes. (on dream WL)
14.) Something bigger than a bread box: Desk Easel. (on $11-25 WL)
15.) Something smaller than a golf ball: Earrings. (on private WL)
16.) Something that smells wonderful: Pink Punch Baby Lips (on add-ons WL)
17.) A (SFW) toy: Kindle. I would consider this a techie toy. (on dream WL)
18.) Something that would be helpful for going back to school: Fun Colored Pens. (on add-on WL)
19.) Something related to your current obsession, whatever that may be: Paints. My current obsession is painting! (on $11-25 WL)
20.) Something that is just so amazing and awe-inspiring that I simply must see it. Explain why it is so grand: Mug. I love love love this literature mug. I not only love the varying typography all over it, but I think that there are some really striking first lines of literature. (on $11-25 WL)
BONUS
1.) Real name: PM sent
2.) Made in Oregon: Handwarmer Mug
Edit: raffle phrase - fear cuts deeper than swords
I seriously need these colored pens.
Thanks for the contest!
It should be fine. The company actually sells this http://www.amazon.com/Desk-Mount-LCD-Tall-Pole/dp/B00689HXI4 and http://www.amazon.com/Ergotron-45-248-026-Stacking/dp/B0036RDOT8
They don't let you just buy the base or replacement pole.
DP cables are mostly the same, can't go wrong with monoprice though, they sell some on Amazon too. I think mine is an Amazon Basics though. Yes the stock one is super short that comes with it. I have an odd setup but I originally got a 6ft DP then sent it back as it was to short and ended up with a 10ft.
&nbsp;
I got this beauty of an arm mount for my X34. I went with the taller pole one as I like more height than most people. I love it, it's great! Anything Ergotron will be great though, the Amazon Basics arms are just relabeled Ergotron but come in black instead of chrome.
Exactly what I needed to know. Thank you sir. So just to be clear, this is the one, right? http://www.amazon.com/Desk-Mount-LCD-Tall-Pole/dp/B00689HXI4/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1409767597&amp;sr=1-2&amp;keywords=lx+arm
The one with the tall pole?
I have been using this one for the last 2-3 years no issues what so ever to hold my LG 34um95. I have a block of wood between the under anchor and desk for extra weight displacement to the desk. Ergotron is expensive but nothing but the best to hold up my baby.
https://www.amazon.com/Desk-Mount-LCD-Tall-Pole/dp/B00689HXI4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1497288938&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=ergotron+monitor+arm
Can't beat the Ergotron LX with tall pole. I use it work with a Thunderbolt display; it holds up fine even though the weight limit specification it dangerously close.
For dual monitors, I use the LX side-by-side with two extension arms for extra height.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00689HXI4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_gG1lybR93BMW
Here is the one I use, it's desk mount but it's definitely strong enough for the weight of the monitor. A lot of arm mounts aren't strong enough to handle the weight but I think this one is rated for up to 20 lbs.
Edit: just saw that they also have a wall mounted version of the same arm

all that aside its awesome really heavy and sturdy. I have the top monitor mounted in the tube on the stand, I just pulled off that silver thing on the bottom and put it right in no bolts or anything its supported on its own weight. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00689HXI4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1

I used a super fancy ti calculator (ti voyager, had a qwerty keyboard and everything) for my first two years of college and then my engineering profs banned it and told us we could only use fe (fundamentals of engineering exam) approved calculators. I then went and researched the best of those calculators and discovered the Casio fx 115 es.

I'm not trying to get you something you don't want but after learning to use this calculator i realised how much of a waste of money graphing calculators are. You are never asked a question on any college level test that says "plot what this function looks like" unless it is something your calculator can't handle and for homework assignments you can just install x cas on your smartphone.
http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~parisse/install_en
There is also a ti equivalent of the calculator so noone here thinks I'm a Casio rep but imo the Casio is way more capable and user friendly (I'm personally fond of the button layout)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004NBZB2Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1408927322&amp;sr=8-1
anyway what I'm saying is I'll get you either of those calculators (Casio fx 115 or ti 36) but not the graphing calculators because I don't own any and think they're a waste of money for over dependant math newbies. If that interests you let me know and I'll buy one for you asap.
Seriously these calculators can do vector math, dot products, derivatives and integrals, probability (ncr and npr) and list values of functions in a table format (as close to graphing as you need to get imo). Even the normal graphing calculators can't do all that!
Wow. I hate to say this, but this is a classic case of why a nobody should ever sign a legal document without a lawyer reading it first. Trust but verify.
The good news is, if you have been doing 50/50 shared since 2011, you can easily get this changed. (at least, in my state you can.)
Get a spiral bound notebook (not looseleaf--spiral bound or a hardback journal like a Moleskine) and begin recording a journal. Write down the dates that you pick her up, the dates that you drop her off with BM. Write down all the events that you attend with SD ("you"= Husband moreso that you specifically in this circumstance) and note if BM was there or not. Don't speculate what she was doing or make any comments about her behavior. Just note if she was there or not.
Build up a document with 6-8 months of documentation (better yet, a year) for the custody, and you can go back to court for an amendment. You can make the case to the judge that this has been the pattern of custody and visitation since 2011. Request a modification of the custody to reflect the default. Most judges will accept that modification because it is already what the two parents are doing.
If you can look back on your calendar and "rebuild" a journal going back 3-4 months or longer, you won't have to wait the full year to accumulate enough documentation.
I agree, a nice zipper pouch like this or a nice leather journal
I have no issues with the Moleskine paper, and quite enjoy writing on it. The only product that has some bleed-through is my soft-cover, and even that is negligible.
The Leuchtturm doesn't have a bleed-through problem, but a drying-speed problem. It dries so incredibly slowly that I had to sit for nearly 30 seconds to let some of the ink dry. This isn't a problem the Moleskines have. Writing with the pen turned upside down (finer point) shortens drying time, but is also annoying. I can't write in paragraphs without smudging, a problem I don't have with Moleskine.
These galleries may or may not demonstrate what I'm talking about, I don't have a great place to setup for photos at the moment (plotting for NaNo and some freelance work has my desk full of papers). It's also 3AM and I haven't slept in slightly over 48 hours. I'm adding Amazon links, but only because I have a tough time differentiating, and figure some others might as well. Interestingly, I had to take these pictures on my music table - the notebooks were all laying on "The Ink Spots" album.
Moleskine Classic Large, Ruled A
Moleskine Classic Extra Large, Ruled A
Moleskine Folio A4, Squared A
Leuchtturm1917 Medium, Dots A
I can write in the Leuchtturm (I'll never remember how to spell that) when I hold the pen (Sheaffer Imperial 440 - not my pic) upside down, but I really dislike doing that.
It could be the ink, I use Waterman Intense Black (Encre Noir - so much better that way). I am almost out of my 50mls, so I'll need new ink soon. If anyone wants to recommend a good ink for the Leuchtturm, I'll give it a go.
I will say that I do prefer a rougher texture. I enjoy the sound a rougher paper makes, and I like the feel of it under the pen. If I can't hear or feel the pen, I don't enjoy writing.
I personally find all this talk of "leagues" to be ridiculous. It shouldn't matter how expensive your notebook is. All that matters are these two questions:
For me, Moleskine notebooks are both "Yes." For Leuchtturm, it fails on the first. If it's an ink problem, I'd very likely convert if I found an ink that cooperated.
Secret santa için bu da sanırım.
Ben de katıldım da, ne yapacağıma karar vermedim daha. Türkiye'ye has birşey mi yollasam diye düşündüm benimkisi için... Cuma'ya kadar yollamam gerek.
Neyse,
defter felan seviyorsa Moleskin alabilirsin belki, iyidir.
I don't user nicer paper for everyday use because frankly, I go too it too much to be constantly buying more, but I do keep a couple of nice notebooks for special purposes.
Here are the links to the aforementioned:
Rhodia notepad (in hindsight I wish I'd bought the wirebound one, but I got mine from my university bookstore on sale along time ago).
Moleskine (you could probably get the same quality paper for cheaper btw, Moleskine is definitely nice but usually considered a tad overpriced for what it is).
It should still work. It only applies to books that are shipped and sold by Amazon... and only up to $10 off. So try this one. It should apply.
Non-affiliate-link and link to graph paper moleskins
Have tried out moleskins? There usually hit or miss for most people. I use them for drawing/sketch and they hold up pretty well for both Muji pens and Midliners.
Moleskine Classic Notebook
It's a brand that sells journals and leather notebooks. Here is an amazon link.
Just under ten.
Strawberry Bubblegum
As a writer, I am in desperate need of a new Moleskine notebook, as the one I'm currently on is almost out of room.
HELLO JOURNAL BUDDY, i also have a journal cover from them, albeit it a griffin on it. BECAUSE GRIFFON IS THE OBVIOUS CHOICE.
Anyway, you can use any of the standard “moleskein-size” journal. You can easily get an actual moleskein in lined paper, [like so] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/8883701127/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1526966631&amp;sr=8-3&amp;pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&amp;keywords=moleskine+notebook&amp;dpPl=1&amp;dpID=41fxhUdMTNL&amp;ref=plSrch) but they are pretty expensive since they’re the most popular name brand. you also can get knockoff versions that are cheaper and just as good. piccadilly is a perfectly fine brand.
also pro tip, if you get one with an elastic band, no worries, just cut if off. that’s what i did for mine when i put a bullet journal-type book in it.

I'd say look at Fisher Space Pens, I don't have one (cause I'm not into ballpoints) but these seem really nice:
[Fisher 400B Space Bullet Space Pen - Matte Black] (https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-400B-Space-Bullet-Pen/dp/B000WGD13U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1466379244&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=fisher+space+pen)

The Lamy 2000 isn't flashy, but it definitly looks expensive, personally if you like that pen save up and get the fountain pen version, its more worth it than the ballpoint in my opinion...

Razer Vespula
I use a wrist rest that keeps my wrist strait and this little notch does not bother me in the slightest.
I do recommend a wrist rest, but not the Vespula. The 'control' side is bubbling up and the 'speed' side is slower than the 'control'. I only keep it because of the wrist rest and the size of the mouse area.
Maybe this one from razer? I think it’s dual sided with one side being hard and one soft (possibly their cloth material). It should be fairly portable.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0036WTBFY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_eLuFAbM234XW7
However if it’s for a laptop and you want an extremely portable mousepad the kabuto is a great bet. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0722JC9PJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xOuFAbV4HWH9T
I own a SteelSeries Sensei and I want a Razer Vespula Dual-Sided Gaming Mouse Mat and I want a Corsair Vengeance K70 Black Cherry MX Brown (Though it comes with Red and Blue switches as well).
I can recommended the SteelSeries Sensei, it is one of the best gaming mice I have ever owned. Don't let anybody fool you, nobody needs 8200dpi (coughcoughRazercoughcough). The average top-tier professional gamer uses their mouse at an average of 3200 dpi. Not even considering the fact that dpi is not even a good measure of mouse movement. That being said... the Sensei feels great as long as you have a palm style holding. If you have a claw-grip style of holding your mouse, I recommend the RAT7 or RAT9, avoid the RAT5 it's awful.
I prefer rigid surfaces. I love this one
the logitech is a great mouse, but it is kinda odly shaped and gets a little uncomfortable after a little while, and as lieutenantClone said, it does drag a lot, personally i use a razer death adder. Also i have tried the 7g, and im not to big of a fan, the button press is a little off in my opinion, right now im using a razer arcosa, but i would recommend the Razer BlackWidow, and for surfaces, this is gonna sound bad, but Razer Vespula, just some suggestions, and im not a razer fan boy all thought it may seem, ive used many different gaming electronics, and ive had some good ones, but for the price i think razer is pretty good
I have This and it's the only Razer item I will still have after I get new headphones.
Probably won't replace it as it work incredibly well with (2) different sides
Some things to consider to optimize your mouse setup:
• DPI: People have different preferences, and you gotta find what works for you and your current monitor resolution. It's generally good practice to buy a mouse with decent DPI settings. I recommend this.
• Mouse Pad: A large and smooth surface area for your movements is always better. This is why a lot of people prefer mouse pads like this and this.
• Hand/Mouse Ratio: I can't really recommend anything here, but it's usually best to use a mouse that feels right for your hand. In other words, ergonomics. The mouse I posted above works for me, but it may not be best for everyone. My recommendation here is to go to a local electronics store and try out their display 'gaming' mouses.
Good luck!
here
Heres a good one for just the mouse. Here is a pretty large one. This looks like one that you can use for the entirety of your keyboard and mouse.
You still have a few years left, I'm 25, have 450 hours, and still slaughter 95% of the people who make the mistake of crossing my path.
Have you tried upping your sensitivity so you don't have to waste so much time moving your hand so far?^1 Another important thing is to make sure your FOV is maxed, it makes a huge difference.
I have a razer exactmat/vespula and use the speed side (which has had the small area I use worn even smoother), I keep my mouse feet and pad "ocd clean", be sure your mouse's feet are clean^1 it really sucks when you nearly kill someone only to have your mouse stick a little and get you killed.

I don't need to break this shit. It's happy breaking itself.
Yeah, mostly "traditional" retail stores will fading away soon, Gamestop should having to worry about losing the sales due of consoles and computer now allow to buy digital games. Most retro games now can be available on the internet called emulator or MEME if you own a arcade cabinet can installed by a computer inside. Digital games are compared to people using play small games on the smartphone without a disc or flash drive needed. If your wrist gets hurted while using a mouse, i believe some manufacturer selling the soft pillow on the top mousepad, this one i bought (feeling like a little hard pillow), link here. If this price is so expensive for you, other mousepads sells cheaper, link here.
I need a new mousepad with a wristrest. I have been using the razer vespula for years and love it, but the issue is the actual grey cover starts peeling after ~1-1.5 years of use, and even using crazy glue doesn't make it stick again. And since it costs 55+tax(used to be 40..) in Canada I dont really want to keep shelling out money for it knowing it has a limited lifespan, as this is my 4th one.
I was wondering if anyone has good recommendations for mousepads with wrist rests, I prefer non-smooth covers.
I have a Razer Vespula (http://amzn.to/PmSRHl) that I am quite satisfied with.
I have the Razer Vespula. Has two sides, Smooth and Textured. (Speed. Control) and a somewhat stiff, yet comfortable wrist wrest. It's really the first mousepad I've owned(except for shitty cloth-y ones) and I love it. Check it out!
Also, if you get the Obi110 it lets you use Google voice with a home phone
You can buy one of these for $50 and use it with a google voice number: http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B0045RMEPI/?tag=dp-us-20
Problem for me is google voice offers no local phone numbers in my area, so I'd either have to have an oddball landline number which would be long distance for neighbors to call, or fork out the $200 for the ooma.
Ok peoples two secrets.
Both share the same services. The Obi adapter runs on Google voice is easy to setup and frequently updates the firmware.

Obihai OBi110 Voice Service Bridge and Telephone Adapter
There was a recent post about this by a redditor here (link to reddit post, but actual steps are on his blog which the post title linked to). However, instead of building an asterisk box, the 2nd most upvoted commenter recommended buying this instead, which would do the same thing. That looks to be cheaper and easier than a Sheeva Plug. Either way, you can use analog phones with the device, which converts the stream to VOIP, and you can use Google as your SIP provider, provided you are using your GV number.
There is a SIP client for Android which will allow you to use GV over VOIP here, with some tutorials linked at the bottom. You'll still use your minutes when out and about, but otherwise you'll be all VOIP.
Keep in mind Google has not promised free SIP access for any length of time. If I remember right, the service was either discovered or possibly leaked, but there was never any announcement or launch for it, so it could possibly disappear, at which point you would probably want to subscribe to a SIP provider.
The product you're looking for does not exist, and if it did exist, it would not work.
The Huawei router you've linked in your replies contains a built-in SIP Gateway. In order to get that feature back after you replace your router with one that doesn't have it, you need to plug something else into your new router to get this feature back.
Any SIP gateway like this Cisco device or this Obihai device will work. They'll still need to be configured to work with your SIP service provider.
Google Voice might go a long way towards getting you your fantasy solution. I use it daily.
What I did was port my cell phone number (the number everybody has known me by for 15+ years) to Google Voice. I then got a new cell phone number and an Obihai VOIP thingy. Total cost was a one-time $20 to port my number, $35 for the Obi thingy, and basic cell phone service.
I configured my Google Voice account with my new cell phone number and set up my Voice account on the Obihai. When you call my 15 year old phone number, both my cell phone and any land line phones I have plugged into the Obihai ring. Whichever picks up first gets the call. Simultaneous ring! When I pick up on an Obi phone, I'm not charged any minutes and the sound quality is far superior than cell and delay much reduced.
On my android phone, I set up Google Hangouts for text and the Google Voice app for voice calls. When I make a call on my cell phone, Voice spoofs my 15 year old phone number so people I call only ever see my Voice number, not my new cell phone number. NOBODY ever sees my cell number whether I text or call. They always see my Voice number, which is the number they've always ever seen from me.
Also, if you have Voice open in a web browser, calls and text ring through there too. So if you were to set up a PC with a set of speakers, keep Google Voice open in a web browser and calls will ring through the speakers.
I have a number of phones connected to the Obihai throughout the house. I even have a few antique rotary phones connected with a pulse to DTMF converter so I can dial out.
Buy this - obi110
It connects to Google Voice, and has a regular telephone port that he can connect his phone to. It's $50, and no monthly fees, assuming Google leaves gmail calls free.
More details: http://obihai.com/googlevoice.html
I've been thinking of getting an Obihai ( http://www.amazon.com/OBi110-Service-Bridge-Telephone-Adapter/dp/B0045RMEPI ), but I'll see what the service is like in my apt first.
Also, apparently if you go over it's 10 cents a minute, which would work out to 45 dollars for 450 minutes, and $75 (45 + 30) for 550 minutes is still less than I'm paying per month right now.
I'll look into your recommendation, thanks!
I love banging around on asterisk. If that is the goal take a look at elastix or pbxinaflash...Use the android phone as a SIP client.
Now -- if your goal is to make calls grab -- http://www.amazon.com/OBi110-Service-Bridge-Telephone-Adapter/dp/B0045RMEPI
Yes it cost money -- but -- you should quickly make that up when
compared to having an old computer run 24x7.
An OBi110 would probably be your cheapest bet. It's now discontinued, but works perfectly well.
It looks like it's cheaper from Amazon.com even with shipping to Canada and the currency conversion.
> or is there software that will use a Data/Fax/Voice modem?
Theoretically yes although I'm told the audio quality doing it that way is terrible.
Obi110 hooked up to my FIOS Router and a DECT 6.0 compatible phone. Add in a Google Voice account and you get free local and long distance in the US. I also added in a $1.50/mo CallCentric account so that I could have e911 service.
Telephone: Google Voice + [OBi110 Voice Bridge](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045RMEPI/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=cronkalytics-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399369&amp;creativeASIN=B0045RMEPI"&gt;OBi110 Voice Service Bridge and VoIP Telephone Adapter</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=cronkalytics-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B0045RMEPI&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399369)
TV: Get a Roku
I do this with an iPod Touch. Google Voice hooked to Google TalkaTone installed on the touch. Free calls over WiFi.
Then I have a cheap MiFi account with TruConnect ($5/month plus data charges) to make/get calls when I'm away from the house.
As for a phone-jack style phone, someone mentioned an OBI 110 to me today. Would this work?

This is what you want. I got this, and I can't be happier. Just sleeve them up before you put the cards in. I used Ultra Pro Sleeves but penny sleeves work just as well!
Nope, not sleeved, although the binders I use have a cloth back to the pages and the slots are slightly bigger than what you're probably used to from your childhood.
This vs. These
I use two of these binders.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004T2CBD4/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_QXxFxbFVYEGPJ
Each pocket has enough space for a full set of kingdom cards. I organize the cards by cost, then alphabetical order. This makes it really easy to browse the cards, especially when introducing the game to new people.
I keep the non-cards and tokens in a Tupperware box.
I have all but the last two expansions.
Definitely go toploader for anything that isn't base or even less valuable parallels.
But If you really enjoy the look of pocket pages, I'd suggest a side loading book like one of these:
Ultra Pro 9-Pocket Black PRO-Binder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004T2CBD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hrC5Cb8VJQ0H8
Ultra Pro 9-Pocket Black PRO-Binder
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004T2CBD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CkI0Cb2M8B668
Probably this one. I have three of these for DBS, Magic, Pokémon, and baseball cards. Been using them for years. They’re fantastic.
first i think you are referring to binders, if this is the case would advise against any 3 ring style regardless of manufacturer, the rings can (will eventually) leave an impression on some of the cards.
the binder i use for storage (have ~20 of these) is this:

hope this helps, good luck!

>Purchasing cards
=============
>For purchasing cards, I recommend buying a booster box and an elite trainer box for each new set that comes out then purchase singles. An elite trainer box also gives 5 of each Energy type and burn and poison markers as well as nice dice! One for flipping and the others for keeping track of damage They're made of acrylic, not cheaper cardboard that come with preconstructed decks.

Was thinking of getting some of them. Can fit two full sets in one.
I use this binder.
After getting a binder, I found that keeping deployment cards and mission cards in a binder was useful. But a lot of stuff (like agenda or command cards) are much easier to handle with just ziplock baggies.
My Ultra Pro binder holds all my ship and upgrade cards quite well. Sorry for the poor quality, I'm entirely using my phone.

I think its good, if not please link better binders. Thanks!
I wouldn't put nice cards in a regular binder with card pages. If you have stuff you really care about, get a purpose-built side loading card binder. If you are going to stick with a regular binder, make sure it's a D ring so that the cards don't get warped during storage.
I use this sort of binder > ultra pro

Well, it's not that I can't get some of them for relatively the same price in-store, it's just a lot easier to sit down and check off the lists and not have to deal with pushy moms getting supplies for kids.
Like... I found these awesome pens, and a dozen mechanical pencils.. It's not that I can't get them elsewhere, as I said before. It's just easier to buy everything together and while I will get Prime eventually, my tuition check broke the bank. I'll get there, though! Paycheck is coming in soon! :D
Warning: I'm a pen freak. I love pens for some reason.
My favorite pens!
these pens, because colors!

Sure. I used the tall poll Ergotron arm with the regular Ergotron arm, and the extension for the extra height of the top monitor. Edit: here's a pic – excuse the cable, but at this point in my life, I've learned to live with them :)
I picked up this one, mostly because I got it for ~$100 from a third party seller -
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009NV4UX0/
I had been waiting a while for the ergotron lx (tall pole version) to come back down in price, but got impatient with waiting -
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00689HXI4
It seems to have a lot more reviews, but according to camelcamelcamel, the price is at its highest right now ($160).
What do you mean sag? Looks like both links point to the same mount, just that one isn't clamped to the desk.
I know it's likely not quite what you're looking for, but I have two of these which each hold an Asus PB279Q perfectly, I can move them to any position I want and it stays rock solid.
Try an Ergotron Arm
I have two of these to hold my monitors and they are pretty great. You can run the wires through the arm so they are "hidden" and its pretty damn adjustable. There are other arm-things out there but they are pricier than the Ergotron brand i think.
Haha yea IKEA desks FTW! As for the monitor stand I am using the ergotron monitor arm - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ergotron-Long-Pole-Mount-Screen/dp/B00689HXI4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1409520178&amp;sr=8-4&amp;keywords=ergotron
I have 2 LG 24UD58-B monitors. I am looking at this VESA mount:
https://www.amazon.com/Desk-Mount-LCD-Tall-Pole/dp/B00689HXI4
would this be compatible? I think so because it is VESA?
The ASUS uses a fully copper cooling system I believe, that is really unmatched. You can pay extra to get it in the [Sager NP8651](http://www.xoticpc.com/product_info.php?ref=154&amp;products_id=7690&amp;affiliate_banner_id=1" target="_blank) but even that doesn't compare to it.
As for the case being a heatsink of sorts, no, not really. Even if they say the machine is aluminum, that's just a veneer, and under it is all plastic. If they did make it out of metal, it'd either face the risk of conduction or it'd get too hot to touch (like some of the older Macbooks that tried that design).
So, I use my laptop for exactly what you do. I do masonry restoration and am sent out of town a lot. I use my laptop almost exclusively for travel, and otherwise live on my desktop. I don't blame you for your standards. I just bought 2 Ergotron LX tall pole mounts for my 24" and 27" monitors and built a riser so they can sit above the LG 34UC97 I just ordered.
Funny thing about specs, though. I'm waiting for Skylake processors, so I only just upgraded my GTX 480 to a GTX 980, and am still running my i7-950. I run Far Cry 4 on max settings with absolutely no problems and high frames. It's amazing how little your CPU is needed.
I personally wouldn't recommend a Hackintosh unless you are willing to learn a little bit on your own, or have a friend who can help out. The problems with a prebuilt machine from a random entity are:
This is obviously your decision, I just know from experience that I have had to extract data from my hackintosh, and reinstall everything because I managed to screw something up with an update. If I had purchased the computer it would have been frustrating to still end up doing al the work despite spending $300-400 extra to avoid it.
If you do go this route and want a monitor suggestion, I really love LG's 34UM95. It is a 34" 3440x1440 res monitor with great picture quality. You need to hook it up via display port or thunderbolt (this build has display port) to get the full res at 60hz, but it is definitely worth the money. I use mine with an ergotron LX monitor arm with the tall arm (see http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00689HXI4)
I use 2 Ergotron LX monitor arms, you can find them on Amazon, but they're not really cheap I would say... Link here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00689HXI4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

>I've been wondering which calculators are easiest to use and do all necessary calculations for engineers.
Casio fx-115 has stood by me for more than a decade. It got me through school and beyond and I've yet to replace it or the batteries.
It also happens to be acceptable for the FE/PE exams (something I didn't know when I bought it).
From Amazon.com:
Product Description
Advanced, four-line scientific calculator, with higher-level math and science functionality, that is ideal for computer science and engineering courses in which graphing technology may not be permitted.
I used this on all the way through my bachelor and continue to use it during my master and at work:

I used this one in addition to the Windows calculator. The Windows calc is the easiest way to convert between binary, hex, and dec, though.
Buenos dias muchachada (No me peguen, ya me voy).
Calculadoras graficadoras para la facultad? Si, no, por que?
&#x200B;

Just a bit of advice, start early in your degree getting used to a NCEES approved calculator. HP35s is my favorite and I still use at my job and the Casio is another good choice.

Works good. They sell it with the Eng sticker in the bookstore
Bunch of used one on Ebay under $20. Free shipping too....
A new TI-36 is $18 on Amazon. What can the 85 do what the 36 can't?
Or just switch brands:

I bought a Casio fx-115ES but never used it - the Windows calculator was so much easier to use. Also the Casio is limited to 16 binary bits in the display and the Windows calc goes to 64 bits (at least). Still, can't go wrong for $14

The standard is 1in squares, this fits all licensed DnD miniatures. I have a large easel pad of 1in grid paper for known fight locations, and an erasable mat from chessex that I use for "off the cuff" situations.
I do it a bunch of different ways. If it's a map I am coming up with on the fly, I usually just quickly draw it on a battle mat or dry erase board.
Sometimes I use donjon (like you did) and then draw it out on one inch grid paper. I just cover undiscovered parts of the map with paper.
I just tried out 2.5d for a battle with a vampire, this isn't the video I used to build mine, but it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
I've also tried the method of cutting the map into rooms to lay out as the party moves forward. This method makes it more difficult for the party to know the layout of the dungeon, which can be fun.
It's all just trial and error, in my opinion! Have fun!
Hey, finally something I can answer from personal experience.
I was in a similar boat where I didn't want to sink a bunch of money into the game for a projector until I was sure the campaign was going to last a while.
You can get set up for months for about $45. If this is a problem see if your players can chip in $5-$10 each or something.
One inch grid paper is your friend. You can get 27x34 sheets of it off Amazon for about 32 cents a sheet ($31.99 for 100 sheets )
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AQDGJRO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iIo4AbG33KRFC
For minis you can use paper as well. I recommend getting 1" binder clips and printing off your own minis. You can buy 144 of these off of Amazon for $11
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N2WB1RL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jRo4Ab0QTWK5S
I used Publisher, but there's a free version called Libre Office Draw. Make a bunch of 3x1 squares in it on an normal sheet of paper and put in images from Google for all of your monsters. You'll want to make them double-sided so the paper sticks up (One row right side down and the other right side up).
You can fit a lot on one sheet of paper. Then print them off either at home, work/school if they allow it, or do it at a print store for less than a dollar.
Let me know if you have any questions.
IMX, you'll also eventually need to clean the whole mat with something stronger than just water. Wet erase works pretty well, but eventually there's a buildup that you need soap and water and some time to clean off. And you absolutely must clean the mat at the end of every session. Never leave it for a week, or you'll never get the marker off cleanly.
I also really wish they would put "Wet erase only" around the edges. I've seen them that have that and I feel like it would result in fewer dry marker triggered murders.
Personally, I still prefer the 1" ruled easel tablets. With a bit of shopping you can find them for about $0.25 per page. You also have the advantage of being able to draw your maps before the game begins and placing them as needed or switching back and forth as needed.
I make battle maps because I find that stuff fun - but you can make very simple ones!
I use this paper - it comes out to <50c per map.
Though you could just use butcher paper and a wooden dowel with one inch marks on it for for every 5 feet - that's what I'm doing after I run out of the grid Paper.
For city maps, I use this method.
Again, I spend more time with it because I like to, but less so when I too am pressed for time. You could likely make them very simple, and they would still look good and make sense.
I can post a few pictures of some of my town and battle maps when I get back if you're interested.
I tried to use premade maps to print initially, but it was both very expensive and hard to see. Again, I can post pics later if you want.
I'm trying to get my best friend into DMing, and I've encouraged him to look into these, which are available in many sizes. Wet erase marker for 30 seconds, bam a battle mat.
If you want something in the same vein that's a little more hardcore, there's these, which I may get if I run a less serious campaign in the future.
There's also Matt Coville's video onterrain that is very helpful. All of the stuff he puts out is, really.
Hope that helps!
We have been using something like this and it is working alright until we get a more permanent solution.
You only have to prepare the details for material that there's a high likelihood that the PCs will directly investigate and interact with, and even then not having that material prepared is pretty easy to deal with through improvisation and note-taking, as long as players won't be interacting with the thing in a highly technical way (e.g. combat) or unless the setting element is deeply interwoven with other elements.
So most of the buildings in the village don't need to be designed in detailed or have a specific designated location. When designing a village, I'd focus on determining what services are available that are pertinent to adventurers, and to what degree and in what form. Beyond that I'd focus my efforts more on establishing character, tone and ambiance with descriptive details, and ideas about how I want to portray the more notable NPCs before worrying too much about town and building layouts.
If you do want to get more in the weeds you can find nice tutorials on designing villages, and tools like Inkarnate.
For areas where you anticipate combat will occur, try to make the environments interesting by introducing at least some of the following: sources of cover and/or obscurement, difficult terrain, multiple elevations, traps, hazards and objects/terrain that can be interacted with or destroyed. Of course, you should try to include these elements in a way that's natural to whatever function the area serves in the world. For physically drawing or representing the maps, you can use a tool like Dungeon Painter Studio, though for home games I have been partial to gridded easel pads (local office supply stores or art supply shops may have better prices) and drawing out the maps in relatively simple detail.
I use a chessex map for on the fly encounters, but pre-draw all my dungeons on 1" gridded easel paper. It's a little more up front but has been working great.
TOPS Standard Easel Pads, 3-Hole Punched, 27 x 34 Inch, 1" Grid, White, 50 Sheets/Pad, Carton of 2 Pads (7902) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AQDGJRO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_yq7kzbHTDD8YR
I use this stuff:
https://www.amazon.com/Standard-3-Hole-Punched-Sheets-Carton/dp/B00AQDGJRO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1481062411&amp;sr=8-4&amp;keywords=1+inch+graph+paper
and draw my own maps with sharpies. They come out looking like this:
http://i.imgur.com/Q9pWlEP.jpg
Note that many locations in CoS are too big to fit on one of those sheets, which are 27x32. The amber temple I drew there is scaled to 10' per inch. It's not suitable for grid combat, but I still wanted to draw the map (and I plan on using a plastic battle mat and drawing the rooms real quick when combat occurs).
I just like to have maps for the players to move around on during a dungeon crawl because it helps them visualize the space.
So that paper works really well for the locations that are normal buildings, like the wizard of wines, the coffinmaker's shop, the basement of the church in barovia, even Argynvostholt is small enough that you can fit it to 5' scale on one sheet (you have to kind of leave the ruined side of Argynvostholt off the map, but no big deal). And if you need more room you can tape two of the sheets together.
As for Castle Ravenloft, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I could tape two sheets together but then my table isn't big enough to make that useable. The map of the castle that comes is an isometric 3d view which is really beautiful but even if you had it printed out, you couldn't really play on it...
On the other hand, Strahd will be hunting them through the castle since his main difficulty comes from the fact that he can just a lair action to just phase through walls--meaning he's going to be moving through the rooms pretty freely, so I think it's important to have them all modeled. I'm still not sure what I'll do. I want to draw the maps but it's just so huge. I might do the same thing I did with amber temple, and draw it in 10' scale, but then I'm stuck having to re-draw any room where combat takes place, and it makes combat between rooms cumbersome. IDK.
Things you can roll ahead of time to save time:
-------------------------
Some other random cool stuff I'd like to suggest you think about...
Think about who should get the Blood Spear at Yester Hill. When they get there, the spirit of Kavan, a barbarian warlord, calls out to the most appropriate PC and invites them to take up the spear and rule the tribes. The spear's temp HP gain on kill works for anyone but the chosen PC gets to use it as a +2 spear. If you have an obviously perfect PC for this, like a barbarian, or a ranger or something, then that's great. My suggestion is that you give them weird prophetic dreams of this Kavan, as he gazes out over yester hill sometime long before strahd ever moved into the valley. I like the idea that he keeps a wary eye toward mount ghakis in these dreams, as a kind of very subtle warning against the amber temple. Basically show him, show the spear, maybe even show him doing battle with a giant goat, or a roc. Nice foreshadowing for when the party crosses tsolenka pass and fights these themselves. The chosen party member will probably have the spear by then and will sort of feel like they're really chosen by Kavan. Cool.
Be aware of how dang easy it is to get on the bad side of the burgomaster of vallaki. As written he is very thin skinned. If you kick the party out of vallaki too early you're gonna cut off a bunch of quest threads. So be careful! If you have Izek play the way he's written, and immediately try to abduct Ireena, that is almost certainly going to lead to a fight and lead to the characters being kicked out of Vallaki. So definitely think about what you want to happen here. I kept Izek's creepy obsession and the dolls and all that, but I did not have him try to abduct her immediately. I may not have him do that at all because it's uncomfortably rapey. It just says he takes her to his bedroom...yeah idk, I didn't want to mess with that, you know?
Also, don't feel like you have to spring the Bluto-Arrabelle event the very first time the party might go by the lake. Sometimes they will be too busy to want to deal with anything and if you pull the trigger there's no going back and arrabelle will be dead. The party will be in and out of Vallaki a lot so it's fine for this to be something that comes up the second time they arrive--especially if they are, say, coming back from the west, that way the vistani can stop them on their way in and ask if anyone's seen a little girl around. Then once in town, people are talking about Bluto acting strange/not showing up at the bar today. Etc.
The 3 night hags at the windmill are beyond deadly for a level 4 party if you play them no-mercy. Just be aware of that fact. Lots of things in CoS are that way. The 6 vampire spawn in the coffinmaker's shop also qualify. Just be aware of this and make sure your players know that they can't necessarily kill everything they come across. Hags will be glad to make deals with the party rather than slaughter them, and the vampire spawn situation can be approached in such a way that it's manageable.
Curate your tarokka deck readings. There is a greater than normal chance that items wind up somewhere in the castle. You should make the decision on whether this is something you want. The sword and symbol make things a lot easier on the party. You don't want them showing up too early, like at Tser Pool or somewhere easy like that, but you don't want them showing up right before the end of the game, either, probably. If you think your party would enjoy the card drawing aspect, you have a few options. Let them draw cards, but then whatever card they draw, just give them the reading you want out of it. Or you could simply build in redundancies, so that x card and y card both lead back to x card's location, in order to prevent y location from happening, but preserve some randomness. Of course then you run the risk of drawing X card and Y card back to back... in which case you can designate a spot for that, and default to it if that happens. It's messy, but it's better than all 3 treasures winding up in the basement of the castle or something impossible like that.
You've got a couple of options. You can scale everything down. I did that with the Temple of Annam fight, since the room in 1-inch to 5-feet scale is almost 5 feet wide. Doing something like "each square is 15/30 feet" works pretty well to reduce the size of the map but still let you use minis. You just have to make sure that the players know about this an are understanding of any potential issues with distances. If you're still using 1inch scale minis then it'll involve handwaving stuff like how characters can't share 30 feet of space.
You can make a giant map. I like this for major locations. For example, the Thane Kayalithica stone giant fight I used foam core board from the dollar store that I cut into 6 18-inch squares and then carved a grid on them and painted it with cheap craft store paint. It took probably three hours to make. Was it necessary? No. But it was cool adding tiles to the table as players explored the darkened room.
Also an option is using large pads of paper with 1-inch squares on them. I wouldn't necessarily go with that one from Amazon since I think it's more expensive due to shipping, but you can pick up something like that from Staples easily. Also you don't necessarily have to get all of the room, just the part of the room the players are in/near.
Also theater of the mind works well for large spaces. I like having a small drawing of the room and the general position of any creatures/features so the players can visualize something. With the exception of the encounters in chapter 2 and the final fight with Iymrith, you aren't usually dealing with a lot of combatants, so it's decently easy to keep track of everything.
I've used a combination of all 4 options, depending on the amount of setup time I have, the relative importance of the encounter, and other factors. For example, one on one fights with creatures work best in the theater of the mind.
I don't DM, but I made a whole bunch of tokens for my party using washers and a 1-inch hole punch. The first batch will require some up front cash but once you get going, it'll be cheaper. I've also seen people use Magic cards. If you don't have a printer just get colored construction paper or something.
https://newbiedm.com/2008/11/22/newbiedm-tutorial-counters-tokens-or-pogs/
The edges tend to peel up so either make sure you glue the edges well or get something to protect the token.
Then just get something like:
https://www.amazon.com/TOPS-Standard-3-Hole-Punched-Sheets/dp/B00AQDGJRO/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2GVBW07SJC1RR&keywords=1+inch+graph+paper&qid=1555015575&s=gateway&sprefix=1+inch+graph%2Caps%2C271&sr=8-3
And use theater of the mind until there is actual battle. If it's not a combat encounter, no point in going through the trouble of tokens and drawing a map. Unless you want your players to think combat is possible.
When I start a new AP, I'll go back and forth between reading the first book of the AP and looking at forum / blog posts about running it. I won't read the whole path, since it very well may not work for the group. I pay special attention to who the important NPCs are since I like to make sure that they're memorable, even if that book only has one short encounter.
Before a session, I have a list of things I try to get through:
I also tend to work a few sessions ahead, if I can, because I hate rushing stuff the day of the game.
Back when I did home brew, I tried to think of sessions as very episodic: What's the set-up for this session, what's the pay-off, and how does it move the story forward? I'd write out the first few session in great detail, but be more vague as I planned out the rest of the story, since who knows how the players would effect the world?
Your best bet to not get mired in world creation is to set a start date for the campaign. Whatever you have by then is what you're going with, and the rest will be improv, or will come to you between sessions. The best campaigns I've run have been ones where the background was fairly easy to grasp for most players. You can even start without a map. In my HBs, I started everyone in a small area and only bothered with mapping things out as they traveled.
This is the king of mechanical pencils. Available in black or silver: https://www.amazon.com/rOtring-Retractable-Mechanical-Pencil-Barrel/dp/B00AZWNS84
But for $10, I like this guy: https://www.amazon.com/Alvin-DM03-Draft-Matic-Mechanical-Pencil/dp/B001DKGYLK/ref=sr_1_10?s=office-products&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1484457112&amp;sr=1-10&amp;keywords=.3+mm+mechanical+pencil

May I introduce you to the Rotring 800, it has a retractable sheath.

Rotring 800 0.5 Pencil.
Japanese Thread Nippers
A pair of sharp point scissors (high carbon steel, inlaid if possible, chrome finish if you live in a humid area, remember they are made specifically for left and right handed people). Wiss is good, Gingher, Wilkinson, Mundial, Kretzer too. Expect to pay $40-80. 8-10" should be good for a woman, but you can always go bigger.

Does anyone know how to get a rotring 800 with metal internals? I'd like another one, as mine is the plastic sort. The lead inside keeps breaking and I've heard the run with metal internals doesn't have this issue.
I found a vendor on Amazon that claims the internals are all metal. They're also running a sale, so it'd be great. Any idea if I can trust that?

I had one, the top layer started peeling off at the bottom of the pad where my wrist was. Now I have one of these and I love it.
If the problem is the depth, check out the 2000XXL, its the same width, just about half as deep.
Edit: forgot an 'x' and link
https://www.amazon.com/Perixx-DX-2000XXL-Gaming-Control-Mouse/dp/B00GB0IFXM
This one is the one I have... its availible in various sizes, plenty thick for daily gaming and minor cushion. It's pretty hardy and easy to clean in case you spill...
Overall dope pad for the price. Going 3-4 years strong still.
3mm is plenty. However if that's a deal breaker I get it, just an awesome price and product if you are not needing that extra 2mm of thickness which IMHO is too much. If you seek more cushion than 3mm an auxiliary wrist rest would better suit you and facilitate that overall comfort/ergonomics without having a extra heavy thick mousepad on the whole surface instead of just where its needed.
The other guy is incorrect. My mouse is a Razer Deathadder, and my mousepad is a Perixx DX-2000XXL. I just got the mouse pad a few weeks ago, and love it. For $20 it's the best mouse pad I've ever seen!
They sure are cushty bro, here you go (It's actually 300 tall not 400). Or just have a search for "extra large mouse mat"
I am looking at this ATM.

I bought this mouse mat a few months back. Wished I did it sooner. Highly recommend this one and use it alot for gaming. Had a Golthahus and sometimes ill even throw it on top cause its a smaller mouse pad.
Oh haha, that makes more sense.
This is the one - great for the price, it has braided edges, decently thick, and the surface is really nice. It's half the price of some bigger brands which don't even have the stitched edge.
it's this one
Someone already asked that question :)
But anyway it's a Perixx DX-2000 XXL
You can find it on amazon
There is the mousemat http://www.amazon.com/Perixx-DX-2000XXL-Gaming-Control-Mouse/dp/B00GB0IFXM
As for the monitor arm it's no longer made or sold, but it is from a company called Brateck. You may be able to find something similar on Amazon.
I don't have experience with that exact one, but I have this one, which I paid $20 for in February, and I love it. Don't know why the price has gone up so much though.
Here on Amazon. I like it because the edges are stitched. It is really well made and has held up really well.
Perixx (... can't remember how to spell their name for the life of me) makes some nice ones. I have (among others) a DX-1000XXL; it's about 35" by 17". I've had this particular one for quite a while and the edges haven't frayed at all. It does discolor after a while (skin cells, dirt, etc.), but all I did was throw it in the sink and washed it up with a little soap and a lot of water, and it looks (and seems to work) as good as new.
The photo doesn't show it well, but the entire edge is heaviliy stitched over (think embroidered letters kind of stitching). I don't think it's gonna fray anytime soon.
The VESA adapter is here for those wanting compatibility, total w/ deal $110.

Check out this monitor it is cheaper and uses the same ips 1440p panel. The main difference is that it doesn't have vesa mounting but you can purchase an adapter.
Edit:
Vesa Adapter
Thanks for the link. This one is the one for my monitor. I don't have a mount now, but I might get one later.
Would this work:

Do you mean the G257HU? If so, yes there is.
Uhhhh, I think it is not VESA mountable. ):
You would need something like this https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Bracket-Monitors-G227HQL-G247HYL/dp/B01771Q6U2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1491765228&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=acer+vesa+adapter+r240hy
That was a perfect answer man I love it! I was thinking about my heatsink but I didn't really put that much thought into it! I plan on stay 1440p 60hz for a good while at least until 4k becomes really affordable you know. The 1080 seemed right up my ally for a perfect 1440p card I was thinking I may just save up some money for it and go for it I've been thinking about that since it came out actually! Would you think a second monitor would be worth it though? I've been looking at these stands
(http://shop.ergotechgroup.com/dual-monitor-horizontal-desk-stand/)
and since theres no visa mount on my monitor i've been looking at these too (https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Bracket-Monitors-G227HQL-G247HYL/dp/B01771Q6U2/ref=pd_sim_147_1?ie=UTF8&amp;dpID=319deaMR3cL&amp;dpSrc=sims&amp;preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&amp;psc=1&amp;refRID=P59GBKDCGRN950E3GJVR0)
as for the hard drive, I currently have my os on one, games between the other too and just other stuff through on the 1tb. here's my steam profile too im with you on that huge steam library (steamcommunity.com/id/mewe123/) would you recomend a second wd blue 1tb?
There was a 27" model for this one? I thought it was limited to the 25" ones. Anyway, I just bought one too and I think these are what you're looking for

They have teeth so when removing them you want to be careful, so as to not tear off threads. I was a bit careless with adjusting one of the clips and it loosened a thread.
The clips are mounted to my wall with http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Glue-Heavy-Mounting-Black/dp/B019HT1U9E?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1&amp;redirect=true&amp;ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 and mounting putty.
Gorilla is just a brand, like this: https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-6055001-Heavy-Mounting-Double-Sided/dp/B019HT1U9E
Most of their products really are quite good though.
Alright, so I got double sided gorilla tape
Man, I don't know how this stuff works so good, but it is no joke. when you handle it yourself, you're gonna be skeptical that it has any significant grip at all, but you just need to apply some pressure between the surfaces and its on there for good.
I don't have that table. I use a 5 foot long plastic table^1 and I attached a surge protector to it with this Gorilla double sided tape ...maybe it's 6ft?
I put tape on the back, covering the whole length of the back so the weight is distributed throughout.
This? https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Heavy-Double-Mounting-Inches/dp/B019HT1U9E/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1541299551&amp;sr=8-1&amp;pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&amp;keywords=gorilla+double+sided&amp;dpPl=1&amp;dpID=512-EL4LnLL&amp;ref=plSrch

Would you be able to mount your surge protector under the top of your desk with something like this? And route your wires through the hole in your desk for a cleaner look.
Wilson Advantage Tennis Racquet Over Grip . The grip won't stay on by itself so you will need double sided adhesive of some sort. On this mouse I went with Gorilla double sized tape. The double sided gorilla tape is pretty thick. use Duck Brand Double-Sided Duct Tape if you wanted the thinnest possible tape with insane grip.
You're supposed to use a cleat for mounting heavy things to drywall. These ones are great, if you're cool with waiting on shipping.
Failing that, mounting tape. Holds 1lb per 2in of tape, so get two rolls.
Np. Found it! https://www.amazon.com/KAZAIRA-Extended-Gaming-Anti-Fray-Stitched/dp/B01AS8ROZ2/ref=lp_14634559011_1_1?srs=14634559011&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1510535743&amp;sr=8-1
This One is pretty excellent for the price, i've had it nearly 2 years now and the edges still aren't fraying or coming apart at all, mouse tracking is great and it takes nicely to being cleaned with some warm water and soap... really can't beat it for 12 bucks.

Its a bit cheap, but so far holding up alright. The stitching on the edges is definitely going to give soon. Not sure I can recommend it for the long term, but for
$1610-15 bucks, I'll be OK if it lasts a few months and then needs replacing.I’ve been practicing for a few months. Appreciate the comment!

I don't know if you still need recommendations, but I strongly recommend the Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens! This set has both firm and soft tips, and it dries quicky so that it doesn't smear.
Thank you for that suggestion. I’ll have to look for those.
Sorry the Fudenosuke are made by Tombow not Pentel. This is the two pen set of one hard one soft. The soft is very similar to this is what I have from Pentel IMO. The hard is not quite as hard as Cocoiro but close. It’s also a fine point compared to Cocoiro’s extra fine. I love Cocoiros too tho!
I just bought some Artline Stix. They’re a little more firm than Tombow dual brush but I manage to mash those too. Starting to think I need to try nibs instead lol.
Tombow Dual Brush is great ‘large brush’ for beginners. I would say first do lots of practice with small brush pens and then move to ink and nibs. Tombow Fudenosuke ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M71S9DU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_2pv3AbQ543M8T ) or Pentel Sign Pen ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EN0HCH6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_qGOz3EhHHfH49 ) are great small pen options. And when you feel ready for upgrade, hunt 513 nib and sumi black ink would be great.

It's really good I actually recommend a pen for you to use for inking, it's actually considered a calligraphy pen but it's the TomBow brush tip set, one is softer than the other but still firm enough to make really thin strokes or broad strokes here's a link below but these are cheap and perfect for illustration and lettering, archival ink, lettering styles and composition, these are all things you have to be interested in to get further in being a comic book artist. I've had similar aspirations pm me if you got any questions I might be able to help.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M71S9DU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_fmB-BbWGZMN8Z.
Here's some basic things for both calligraphy and hand lettering brushpens and speedball both will work fine for entry level stuffs also some LaserJet paper usually works well.
Thank you. The first one is with a Sharpie brush pen.
Everything else is Tombow Fudenosuke soft and hard tips
Personally I prefer the gas spring monitor arms to a stand. Easily removable from the desk, adjust it to wherever on the desk, and has a compartment on the arm for cabling. Gas Spring VIVO Monitor Arm
The left panel is 1080p 240hz (Alienware AW2518HF) and the right is 4k 60hz (LG 24UD58-B).
The arms are VIVO gas-springs (STAND-V001O)

I have the 2 arm one and have my X34P and an older 27" 1440P monitor on the other arm.
I have the same monitor and use a Vivo mount. The one I use isn't a spring-mounted one (height adjustment doesn't matter as much for my setup), but their parts are generally mix-and-match so the actual VESA bracket should be the same. I would expect this to work for you.
https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Adjustable-Articulating-Counterbalance-STAND-V001O/dp/B01NH0HTM5/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=vivo+spring+mount&amp;qid=1570629010&amp;sr=8-4
No prob.
I do have personal experience with the single and dual vivo mounts.
Vivo pole mounts are solidly built metal, all the pieces screw together well and generally, I find them trust worthy and sound enough to mount expensive (to me at least) monitors on. I'm also pretty sure that all these pole monitor mounts are made off some shared reference design and that all the copy-cat brands are probably just as good.
The Vivo articulating arm mount, which I also have is pretty good, but this mount has plastic parts (along the arms, as covers to hide cables) which isn't as strong as metal.
Generally, I set up the monitors in position once, and never move them until I want to set up everything all over, so I prefer pole mounts and don't mind that it takes some wrenching to adjust height.
Right now, I'm using a standing desk height Vivo mount (with the tall pole) to mount 2 29 inch ultrawides on top of each other. I also have a single arm that holds a 23 inch HD in portrait mode. Here's a pic.
The way you want the horizontal and vertical monitors to line up with each other (landscape lined up with tops of portrait monitors) can not be done with a dual Vivo pole mount - the arms are at the same level.

It’s a generic rgb extended mouse pad. I like it a lot, the razer one doesn’t like laying flat for the most part.
The ultra-large pads are just a huge play they are so nice, if rgbs your main thing I recommend this it still has the wire but its a lot less in the way of the mouse wire

Mouse Pad - Amazon
The mousepad? It's a fairly cheap one that my gf got me for X-mas.

It's really good quality for the price and the side connecting micro usb for power makes it easy to hide and route on the side of the desk.

I got this while it was a lightning deal. Not a high end brand or anything, but the purple lighting looks great with the rest of my set-up.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F0XHA5E/ref=psdc_705323011_t3_B0751B5MG6 similar size, just thinner and cheaper. i would buy the steelseries if i didnt have this one.
I have a 34” wide screen mounted to my standing desk, and I use a dual monitor gas shock articulating arm system (the other monitor is a vertical 27”)
The main issue I see with it is that the monitor is so wide that it’s hard to keep it perfectly straight, it has a weird “center of balance” which makes it rotate on the mount very easily, I can only imagine this would be even more pronounced for you.
Id probably recommend a single monitor mount for you.
This is the standard one;
VIVO Single LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Fully Adjustable/Tilt/Articulating for 1 Screen 13" to 27" (STAND-V001) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B21TLQU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_fudoDbWEGEV6Q
This is the articulating one, which may give you rotation issues (although maybe it’s just me).

LPT:
Instead, carry one of these,
Some of these,
and a pair of pliers.
Lockpicks are a felony to possess in a lot of the US
&#x200B;
The clip on the pen becomes the tension wrench. The pin becomes the pick, and the pliers bend the two into the desired shape.
a 1200 DPI mouse and a 9x12 mousepad can do wonders. it can also, depending on the material, be a good surface to place keys, coins or other stuff. help keep the desk scratch free.
I agree. They'll probably buy the absolute best monitor mount you can get. Something like this:

Which is $200
Hmm. I wasn't planning on gluing the mirror to the shower wall. I want the mirror to be able to be removed, without leaving any marks.
Is there an adhesive you recommend, that can be removed from the cultured marble panel, if/when the mirror gets taken down?
I was thinking that I might be able to screw a support block into the drywall that is located above the panel, so that I do not have to drill a hole in the cultured marble. Here's a rough image of what I'm thinking of doing.
Or, I could screw two hooks into the above drywall, drill two holes in the top of the mirror frame, and have the mirror hang by chain. I'd maybe caulk a bit of the mirror to the panel, to keep the mirror from swaying back and forth .
I am also considering waterproof-rated, heavy-duty, double-sided tape (something like this product), but I'm not sure if that will hold up.
