I don't see a legal concern here, but have you considered buying a collapsible cart? I used one when I lived in an apartment that required significant walking to get items from the car. It isn't ideal, but you should be fine to transport the heavy items yourself with this as long as there is an elevator.

u/BIGDATA_Construct · 12 pointsr/DiWHY

Nice, If you are ever upgrading the wheel barrow itself I highly recommend one of these dumping 4 wheeled gorilla wheel barrows. Spent way to much time behind the unwieldy 3 wheeled kinds in the past.

u/cestes1 · 6 pointsr/shutupandtakemymoney

I went through two of the older model (not sure if 1 or 2). They end up getting all clogged after a while.

On top of that... I had two cats and my wife had two cats (before we got married). We're like the Brady Bunch for cats. My cats were cool with the Litter Robot. One of hers was freaked out and would just crap on the floor in front of it!!!

We got cheap and industrial. Two gigantic litter boxes side by side. They may not even be litter boxes... At one point I considered feed troughs from Tractor Supply. We scoop 'em with a mud shovel . I scoop into the 'Poop Wagon' which then gets dumped in the ravine in the forest behind our house. I can't see that shovel ever breaking like so many other poop scoops. Plus I'm not bent over scooping and it really saves my back!

Lots of stuff have the prime logo but will not come in two days for various reasons

Heres a book that is temporarily out of stock, so there isnt even a delivery date, but it still has the prime logo https://www.amazon.com/dp/0805452044

Or this garden cart has the prime logo in the search results and in the "New" area of the product page, but says will take additonal processing time: https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Carts-Pneumatic-600-Pound-Capacity/dp/B01BECQAWO

I live downtown too, but in the Commodore Perry, so I can't give advise on LaSalle.

However, groceries aren't too bad if you have a car. The Kroger in Oregon isn't too far, and neither if the one on Monroe by Best Buy (though it is small and cramped). I HIGHLY recommend getting a collapsible wagon though. We bought one the same week we moved in and it's been incredibly valuable for us, especially when we get heavy items like cat litter or pop.

The biggest advice I can give though is to explore. We moved in at the start of last summer and I spent almost all of my free time just walking around. Downtown isn't that large and I never had a problem with anyone being creepy. I played Pokemon Go a lot, but I also spent quite a bit of time by the water just drawing. There are a lot of interesting things in the buildings and architecture downtown that I feel a lot of people don't care about/notice.

Also! If you're not already aware, there is a pretty sweet art supply store downtown called the Art Supply Depo. It's over by Home Slice pizza. There is also Handmade Toledo in uptown and they offer some cool Toledo art and swag, but also a ton of art classes. I can't recommend both enough!

Garden tool trolley type thing.

Similar (not identical) product on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/SuperDuty-Garden-ToolBox-Capacity-Plate-Made/dp/B071DTV3H7

Do it, you won't regret it. She'd do it for you. There are cheaper ones but I got this one so we can still go on trails and places more interesting than just sidewalks. Getting the ski attachments for the snow shortly.

We just sold our truck yesterday and now have no car. We walked to Costco today, and used a little wagon-looking thing to get our groceries home. (I would suggest just taking the bus or uber, but for regular shopping that would get expensive.) You could carpool with someone else or offer to pay for their gas for a trip if they're going to IKEA or something. But yeah, the little wagon: https://www.amazon.com/Mac-Sports-Collapsible-Folding-Outdoor/dp/B00BUUUIGK

I'm not sure if its the exact same as the one I have, but you get the idea.

Or buy a wagon

u/tikibyn · 3 pointsr/toddlers

We ended up getting it as a Christmas gift a year and a half ago, so I'm not positive which one it is, but it looks a heckuva lot like this one. My husband is 6'1 and sometimes he wishes the handle was a little longer, but aside from that it's great. We cut a piece of pvc pipe and used a length of rope to attach it to the handle to extend it, but he hasn't tried it yet.

We are going camping with our 1 year old for Memorial Day weekend camping this year so I'll be following this for other ideas! We are going with my coworker and all their friends (and their friend's friends) so there will be a huge group with us. But, here are the things that we plan on bringing!

  • tent (my sister has a HUGE tent that she is letting us borrow) and footprint for underneath
  • 1-2 Tarps for bad weather
  • air mattress and pump
  • pack and play w/ sheets and extra blankets/sleeping bags
  • easy up canopy
  • a head lamp (looks dorky but being able to do things hands free in the dark sounds great to me)
  • a battery powered lantern
  • tons and tons of clothes and different layers - Extra sweatshirts and extra socks
  • a collapsible wagon like this one (Collapsible Wagon - Amazon)
  • WIPES, all the wipes
  • camping chairs
  • Bug spray and sunscreen
  • First aid kit with extra bandaids
  • Extra batteries

We are also bringing a stroller because we are going to a festival in a nearby town. Otherwise, I wouldn't bring it.
u/L1zardcat · 3 pointsr/Flipping

Folding cart helps. Also Rubbermaid tubs.

Similar (if not the same as the Costco wagon mentioned already), I just got this and used it yesterday halling a ton of crap.

Once when I used a promotion and ordered four 20-lb cat litters plus other groceries. The guy who delivered used a cart, it looked like this https://www.amazon.com/Mac-Sports-Collapsible-Folding-Outdoor/dp/B00BUUUIGK/

I generally use promotions so I can add the $5 saved onto the tip. I rarely tip lower than 15% unless the shopper is a *doozy and they still get 10% despite a lower rating.

*A doozy is someone simply refunding everything and refusing to chat about the substitutions I always list and the comments asking them to please chat with me about the items.

I usually have to go outside anyways since our apt complex gate is temperamental and I often have to use my gate key to let them in. Usually I ask if they want me to carry something. They're always so good about it and refuse my help since they see can me walking with my crazy hip replacement leg that still limps. :-)

u/randommAnonymous · 3 pointsr/basset

I'm using one of these to haul my stuff in and out. I'm gonna have to move my computer quite a few times times since I'm getting in on Monday and leaving Monday after(up to the hotel room, down to the byoc, back up to the hotel room during tear down and then out to the car Monday morning). That walk would get old real fast if I had to carry it each time. I especially like it because the inside is entirely canvas and padded on the bottom. It was a little expensive but worth it. I'll use it for beach/camping trips the rest of the year.

Something like this will do:
YSC Wagon Garden Folding Utility Shopping Cart,Beach Red (Navy Blue) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LC9GRJ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6EjezbJH7XKWT

But I was really jealous of people who had ones like this:

For what she needs, a garden cart with a seat is kind of hard to find. One that has a big load, at least.

There's this: https://www.amazon.com/Best-Choice-Products-Gardening-Planting/dp/B002HG2YOU which is more of a direct seat, and then you could also go with:

https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Carts-Utility-Removable-Capacity/dp/B01BECQBPK/ref=sr_1_2?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1494539546&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=gorilla+cart&psc=1

It has removable sides, so she could take 1 side off and have it double as a seat.

Hope that helps.

Short(ish) TL;DR: Building a box on top of a utility trailer that will bolt-together, plywood sides, seat with locking storage and will be pulled behind a electric front hub recumbent trike. Not for use on the road, low speeds (~5-10mph) on pretty flat terrain with at most some ruts and dust piles. TTITD Already got the hitch made up and working well enough.

Longer form:

SketchUp file for those that want to follow along that way, otherwise image link.

This Gorilla Carts GOR1001-COM utility cart, going to weld up the frame but in sections that will bolt together. Want to be able to flat(ish) pack this in my storage unit when not using it. Main tube will be 3/4" square steel, the tube that's the extra supports will be recessed 1/2" tub, flush to the inner surface of the 3/4" tube providing ~1/4" for plywood to fit in against and help keep it in place.

All the tabs shown are 1/8", and almost all 1"x1". Debating drilling 1/4" holes and using #12 screw bolts, or drilling 5/8" holes and 1/4" hex bolts.

The seat bottom and back and top may be 3/4" plywood, not sure yet. All the rest will be 1/2" on the sides/back except the bottom (sitting on the mesh of the cart) which will be 1/4". Mostly to prevent little things from dropping out the bottom or stuff coming up from underneath.

The small 4" posts sticking inwards are for square u-bolts from the bottom which correspond to the cart cross beams and are 1/2" tube ~1/4" from the bottom to allow for the plywood.

The footrest in front is detachable and narrower than the full width, hopefully to cut down on people using it to step up as much. I'm slightly worried that if they step on the edge it may overbalance the cart. Having it closer to the center may help with that. If not, I'm going to just remove it and people will have to watch their feet with the tow bar :P

The seats bottom and back will be 2" high density foam covered with some basic cloth, stapled to the bottom of the plywood. The seat bottom may be hinged at front or rear to provide access to the front area where I'm intending to have a battery box and such. Using these type latches and some combo locks. Probably have a bit of 1x2" or similar wood behind the hinge area and latch areas to provide better grip for those.

The back will have a strip at the top/bottom, probably reinforced behind by some 1x2" wood or similar to provide better grip for hinges and latches. Might use the same latches as for the seat, but considering using these. It will swing backwards, and I'll may have a bit of steel cable to keep it from going all the way down, I'll see how it is in practice first.

I'll also get some anchors or similar and put them at the bolt points, and possibly at some of the other extra tabs I have in to help attach and hold the plywood in place. Might use screws, might just bolt through the plywood, not sure yet.

So, hopefully I'll get some constructive feedback (probably along with some "you're insane" or "no way that'll work" or what not). And it may not work as I hope. Oh well! I'll still learn a lot about how to do some things, and how not to do some things.

My alternate is just build a rectangular box, hinges in the middle with cushion and fabric all on top split in the middle. Still bolt together as a goal. A lot quicker and simpler and cheaper. But that's boring.

Plastic tote boxes. I also got a collapsible wagon, which has been amazing for dragging stuff to my booth.

I used this one for both Bisco and Peach last year and it was glorious: https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Carts-Pneumatic-600-Pound-Capacity/dp/B01BECQAWO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499263304&sr=8-1&keywords=gorilla+wagon

The big tires make a difference, and this thing has a pretty rugged frame.

I would double check and make sure, but I think my buddy and I only had one camping pass. Basically, it's for your parking your car.

If you're forrest camping, I'd suggest getting one of these, or something like it.

Edit: As per their website: "Forest Camping Parking: Patrons with a Forest Camping pass will be able to park one car per camping pass in a nearby lot," and the same goes for Car Camping, etc.

Foldable wagon could work. Most big box stores have them now. Bigger wheels for non pavement.

We use a wagon like this. Not this exact one but pretty close. Lets me load up snacks, baby stuff, beach toys, extra clothes, towels, wet suits, etc. for the family, and then I use an old leash to strap a couple of boards on top because I would rather stack up everything like a sherpa than make a second trip to the car.

u/goldensunshine429 · 2 pointsr/quilting

My mom just got this Wagon. Several other ladies at the last quilt retreat she went to had it and everyone liked it, and...BONUS! It has cup holders! Mom has a Bernina 1130 that weighs roughly 1.5 metric tons (mild exaggeration). Her retreat was in Jan so I don’t think she’s personally used it yet.

If she doesn’t soon, I might claim it for my (slightly less heavy) Bernina 350

u/christobevii3 · 2 pointsr/HomeImprovement

Good basic steel dolly with blow up wheel is $40-60 at lowes.

Here's the wagon I was talking about that sounded interesting. They have a basic garden one with fold down sides too so with cardboard you could use it to haul dirt too but not really cement well.

Maybe get some knobby wheelbarrow wheels or something like that? Or wheels for those little utility wagons.

u/ballanuts · 2 pointsr/WeddingPhotography

Not a solution for carrying gear while shooting but the best purchase I ever made when shooting weddings was a fold-able wagon like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Sports-Collapsible-Folding-Outdoor-Utility/dp/B00BUUUIGK

No more lugging my heavy bags around all day and wagon folds up to fit nicely in the truck of my car.

We got a wagon from Amazon and it works great. Our lab puppy is 10 weeks and 15 lbs so I can’t carry him, but he loves his wagon.

A firewood log cart would help him get the wood inside. He doesn't have to fill it up:

Or a wagon like this might be easier:

They certainly cost less than a wheelchair if we're looking at the same thing.

I would think you'd need on with an axle that is steerable like the above one, I found a few that were a little less expensive.

Working out pretty well so far. Folds up, goes over pretty much all terrain. You can put two packs in it, or a pack and a cooler. I plan on building a custom box and getting rid of the pack altogether.

u/jre103087 · 1 pointr/toddlers

We got a double stroller. Sit and stand style. We only used it a handful of times before we just switched to the wagon full time.

Oldest was 20mo when 2nd was born. He preferred to walk when we went places and wagon gave him a place to sit down and rest when he got tired. Baby was breastfed and wanted to be on the boob vast majority of the time, when he did fall asleep or get too heavy he could lay flat in the wagon with lots of blankets. When they both started walking we couldn't strap them into the stroller anyway because they fought it.

3 is due in Nov, we've already sold the stroller and plan to just use the wagon on any family outings that we end up having.

We got a heavy duty garden wagon off of Amazon. It has big tires that are great off roading. Also has collapsible sides and detachable handle so can be broken down and packed into trunk very easily. The one was got came with a removable liner and we ended up buying 2 kitchen chair cushions that we tie in when the kids need the cushion. It's big enough that the 2 kids can both sit inside comfortably and have both slept while on the move, not as comfortable but still works.

Edit to add: ours is very similar to this. Not identicle but same basic concept.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BECQBZ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_4XtjDbND54Y0H

Also, as others have commented, if you decide to go the stroller route check out fb marketplace, let go, offer up, etc. I see strollers for super reasobvle prices all the time. We got our sit and stand for $50 from there. Worth it even though we used it for just a short amount of time.

Thanks - that is exactly the input I was looking for. I'm wondering if I used a garden cart like this if I'd be able to lay them down and fit enough to make it worth it - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BECQBZ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_e9LJBb4MRBRDP

This would be a lot heavier than a trailer designed for bikes though I'm sure.

That sucks your hub was removed. I have several within a mile and good bike trail access to them so really hoping I can figure out a way to collect and deliver by bike.

I have a z10, and keep it stored on a cart with all terrain wheels like:
https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Carts-Heavy-Duty-Removable-Capacity/dp/B01BFC5WZE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1497025326&sr=8-4&keywords=gorilla+cart

It makes it easy to take the scope from the garage to the back or front yard in one piece. I'll often even leave it on the cart for observing, but I'm pretty tall so that might not work as well for you. Still, it's easy enough to get it out of the cart and set it on the ground.

None of this helps with astrophotography of course, but if you do get an AP setup, you can load it up in the cart too and have your dob on hand for visible observing while capturing pictures.

u/dillycrawdaddy · 1 pointr/CampingGear

I bought this one and used it to hike in less than a mile over rough terrain and it worked well. I think I overloaded its weight capacity with firewood and one of the wheel mounts bent SLIGHTLY. Still works perfectly though, and I can’t fault it because I overloaded it.

I’d recommend.

I do wish I spent a little more and got this one. We saw it at the beach and it seems even better.

There’s this too

You can find these a little cheaper at other vendors sometimes.

I'm looking for some help moving next month. Not a traditional move as I'm only moving about 300 feet accross the street. Really hoping to find a people that could come help out with these types of utility carts. I plan on renting a pickup for an hour or so to move the big stuff.

I dont have a riding lawn mower, but we got one of those 1200lb gorilla carts. Thing is a beast! The handle does 360 degrees to switch to one of the smaller hitches designed for atv or riding mower.

u/BaconAccessories · 1 pointr/CasualConversation

If you're concerned about how deep it is, maybe something like this?

Weighs twice as much and I'm not sure how the carry capacity compares (weight-wise it's the same), but it's another option to consider.

u/matt314159 · 1 pointr/ElectricScooters

That's a good way to think about it. I don't think I'd be comfortable with more than probably 20lbs in a backpack on my Levy (then again I've only had it a week, maybe that will change). But my grocery store is literally 3/5 mile up the road from me so a ten minute walk if I'm walking extra slow. I have a small gorilla cart that I just got, which lets me haul basically as much as I want, fairly easily. I think what I will do is do backpack scooter trips when I just need a couple things, and then if I'm doing a big trip like to buy heavy things, walk and pull the cart.

u/lhtaylor00 · 1 pointr/aww

Get a Gorilla Cart if you're able. It has ruggedized wheels, a hard plastic tub, and can be used for gardening as well. The tub dumps like a dump truck.

By far, my most favorite garage accessory, and the plastic tub will be soft on your brother's dog's joints.

u/NickBlasta · 1 pointr/CompetitionShooting

If I wanna pack light I use this. I hang my chair and small cooler from a carabiner.

Most matches I put everything in this. Having a cart is REALLY nice, especially at a longer match.

But don't end up carrying a range bag and all your shit. The less work you have to do that isn't shooting related, the better you will shoot.

u/gooberfaced · 1 pointr/gardening

We use a heavy duty traditional wheelbarrow and a 1,200 lb rated four wheeled Gorilla garden cart. Both have their uses. I'm the lady and prefer the Gorilla as it won't tip like the wheelbarrow, but my husband prefers that one.
We also use a towed cart behind our lawn tractor but far less frequently.
