Promise you won't continue to have that problem with power/lasting.

Edit: I forgot to mention the best part of an electric leafblower. No emmisions means you can use it indoors. Its the best thing I've ever used for waking up my children. 100% success rate, plus they enjoy it... after a few seconds.

5.Wash, decontaminate, clay, then spray. Spray wax is just wax in a liguid form and goes on pretty much the same as paste wax. They don't always last as long but work for DIY detailers like us.

Hope this helps. Feel free to check out my youtube for a couple videos I've started making.

Hmmm, can't find on Amazon. Any key words I should search for?
Edit, this looks like a cheap good option for power washer , Tool Daily Sewer Jetter Nozzle for Pressure Washer, Rotating, 1/4 Inch Female NPT, 4000 PSI https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NQD51PN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_MyIZCbDJZE2WD

Here you go. Minimal maintenance, minimal work.
Grass likes being cut.
You can get a flame thrower wand for a propane tank pretty cheap. My neighbor uses one to start his fires in the firepit.
Edit: So I guess it is technically not called a flamethrower but a torch. Still thing can shoot out some flames.

Mostly, I really like to build and fix stuff. I don't really care whether it's the HTML of a website or the stem of a shower faucet -- it's just the act of figuring something out and making it better that I like, for whatever reason.
I have a small collection of tools -- a power drill, some gardening stuff, etc. I also have a bass guitar, but I bought one of these itty-bitty little headphone amps so I don't piss off the roomies and also so I don't have to lug an amp around everywhere -- since they're pretty much just an empty box with a speaker in it anyway.
I also like reading, but (partially thanks to Reddit, I'm sure) my attention span is so short that sitting down and reading is tough, so I've gotten rid of pretty much all of my books and opted instead for audiobooks. There are great sites like librivox.org where you can download oodles of classics read aloud for free. Currently I'm listening to all 65 hours of 'Atlas Shrugged' while I fold Noteboards, a product I created and sell (also thanks to Reddit). Also, nothing beats the time I drove across the country by myself listening to 'The Godfather' and 'Fight Club' and zooming through the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Death Valley.
Singing is also really fun, and takes zero space. When I'm not listening to audiobooks, I'm singing along to musicals ('Book of Mormon' today) or 90s rock.
The stuff that takes up the most room is my push-reel lawn mower which is easy to disassemble, and my healthy collection of Nerf guns.
EDIT: I also do some graphic design. This graphics tablet is tiny and flexible, and works great.

Pro tip. You can link shorten an amazon link by finding the ASIN product number, i.e. B01N11IBJU. Then just use www.amzn.com/B01N11IBJU
I have this reel mower for sale. I only used it twice and I'll sell it to you for $60. Works great, I just decided I liked using my weed whacker for everything.
I empty both HF tumblers into this pan, spray it down with a faucet sprayer, and then sift out the brass and move it to a towel. Once all brass is towel'd, I tie it up and give it a good shake, and move the brass to a food dehydrator for 2 hours or so. It's ready to resize and load then.
I don't do anything with the pins except pick them up with a magnet tool (magnet + solo cup), and plop them into the drums. I don't bother drying the pins.
Stay away from the cheapo metal detectors (~$50) like you'd find at Radio Shack and Harbor Freight. They're only good for a couple of inches, and honestly aren't worth buying. I'd say "entry level" starts at around $120, and you get what you pay for.
The Bounty Hunter Time Ranger is good for the price. I think it used to be like $600 back in the day (2000-ish?), but now you can find it for less than $200 new (I've seen it on Amazon as low as $175). It's getting to be an old design now, but it's still solid because the basic technology of metal detectors hasn't changed much -- two coils in the head, one coil sends out a signal, the other receives it, and the electronics analyzes the return. The big question you might have is, "what is the difference between this model and the ones below it by the same manufacturer?". First is the manual ground balancing feature. The soil usually has naturally existing iron in it, often referred to as "mineralization" in metal detecting, which unsurprisingly looks like metal to a metal detector. The manual ground balancing feature allows you to "re-tune" the metal detector to ignore the noise caused by soil mineralization. It gives you a bit of control over how the detector behaves, and is highly useful. Additionally, it has a "pinpoint" mode. There are two ways that metal detectors work: move it from side to side (often called motion detecting), or hover (often called pinpointing). This model allows you to do both, which is really handy. And if you don't want to purchase a "pinpointer" (see below), this pinpoint mode will get you by for a while. Finally, it has more "discrimination" which means it can tell the difference between objects like a bottle cap, a quarter, or a penny. I don't personally care so much about discrimination, but it can be useful, and it is certainly neat. Cheaper models can do adequate discrimination IMHO.
Another good entry level one is the Garret Ace 250. I haven't tried it myself, but I've read good things about it, and you can't go wrong with Garret. It has been highly popular as an entry level unit for many years.
One thing you'll learn quickly once you start metal detecting is that you'll want what's called a "pinpointer". The Garret pinpointer is widely considered the standard. You can do a lot of detecting just with this pinpointer, although it doesn't go more than a few inches deep, and you can't discriminate or sweep a large area quickly like you can with a proper metal detector. It is high quality, and is useful for many things like finding lost screws in the grass, screw driver bits that you drop in the dirt, or small metal parts you drop in your carpet. Also can be used as a stud finder, as it finds wires and screws in walls easily.
So you should get the most amount of foam when you tighten the soap nob (right). Next, the nozzle should be set the the fan side. I set mine just shy of the widest setting.
Another thing to try, is with the settings above, take off the bottle, and put your finger on the bottom of the straw. When I do that, i can feel a strong suction that would probably get uncomfortable if I kept it there for long.
If all that checks out and you are still having issues. Start with replacing the pistol part between hose and cannon. I use a short pistol like the one MATCC sells. https://www.amazon.com/MATCC-Washer-Pressure-Power-Washers/dp/B06XYJ3N19/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1522435400&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=matcc&psc=1
I also use honeydew which works great for me. You have a pressure washer that should work like all the best yt videos. I'm stuck with an electric sun joe and have finally been able to get almost exactly what you find in chemical guys videos once i got the 1.1mm MTM cannon. You should have the same results with a 1.25mm orifice which is what came with my cheap amazon DUSICHIN since you have a Gas powered.
The Bin
Leaves
Manure
Composting it All
Most people use the typical method in a 3-bin system: bin 1 = active pile, bin 2 = turned pile, bin 3 = curing pile. I employ this method. Once I get my new 3-bin setup completed, I will be posting pictures of compost at different stages. IN the meantime, here is a picture of potting soil components I use: Left to right: dolomitic lime, perlite, compost (the stuff I make), peat moss.
For added fun, use the compost going into the curing pile as bedding for worm bins. It is rich with food for them (you can add more, of course) and they will pass all of it through them. The end result is a nice, black, humus. I hope to employ a worm bin soon; it's on my list.
This calculator can help with ratios
Get a compost thermometer to help monitor the temperature
This site has a good description for hot composting and a list of ratios
You'll need a different spray gun since the Portland washer comes with an adjustable nozzle.
I tend to recommend Twinkle Star as a cheap option with decent quality:

Thanks for the contest!
Is it this one by chance? Best deal I could find, I just ordered one last week. Should be here Thursday. Shits starting to get smelly.
Edit: hmm I see the one I ordered is CTC60....shit. Where were you when I was ordering this?? lol
Right on! I too have just entered the world of fresh milled flour(I'm jealous I have a nutrimill). If your interested in having different grades of flour I recommend checking out at least a 50 micron screen. I got a 50 and a 100 micron screens on Amazon to sift out bran and flour that was closer to a fine sand kind of like semolina. I found the largest and cheapest stainless screens were weirdly enough in the gold mining section. Most of the screens people had reviewed the cooking models as not stainless as advertised or the frame would rust or they were as much as $150 for a brass framed model. Very nice, but also ridiculous.
The flour I sifted out of the 100 micron screen is super light and almost white. The bread I've made with it looks looks closer to a 20%WW and has a very wheaty flavor.

Doesn't really matter, this isn't a precision job. Just sit on the ground, hold it against your knees with one hand and file with the other if you have to. Have any clamps? Clamp it to a table. Better yet (if you can't install a bolt-in vice) get a vice that just clamps onto a surface. <$30 for a decent quality once.
Might buy a cheap balancer while you're at it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VYKS1Q/
They're easy to kill - you just need to trim a couple times in a season (once to clear, once 6-8 weeks later to kill all the new growth.)
Use:
I cleared a quarter acre last fall and while there's a couple stragglers for the most part they're now dead.
This. You hook a fan up to it and it pulls air through a dust filter then through the activated charcoal. Takes care of the smell completely.
So I saw this post first on r/specializedtools this is what they found there.

It's a just a little tip that goes on the end of your powerwasher's hose. I'm sure there are others out there that are likely more efficient and probably more expensive than this one.
They that since it shoots the water jets backwards, the force from the expelled water actually pushes it through the clogs and blasts them out. Pretty neat and effective.
I couldn't find a viable replacement hose, so I went with the HD extension that SunJoe sells. When attached to the factory hose, it is long enough for virtually any vehicle you may be doing.
As for the kinking, you should get a swivel so the gun turns freely. This is the exact one I got for my SPX3000. Although I do use a pistol sized gun instead of the factory one.
Yeah, get a swivel connector. I put one on mine on the bottom of the gun.
This one in particular is the correct size for the SunJoe. Its the one I bought for mine.
Just make sure to use some teflon tape to seal up the threads.
I don't know the price of sod there, but if I were looking for "instant lawn" on a spot like that, I'd torch anything green just enough until the leaves were shiny, and then turn the soil after three days. Permeable black landscape fabric under 3/4" of new soil will keep any of the old stuff from coming up through (if it survives having its leaves glazed), and will be enough soil to get the sod rooted until it is energetic enough to grown down through the pores. The fabric isn't great for drought areas, but with an aeration once the sod is established, the grass will have no trouble rooting through it. I'd probably install subsurface drip irrigation while I'm at it, and work out a way of directing laundry water to it.
I have this, it’s a beast.
Lesche 1V_WWMFG-32-SER T- Handle Heavy Duty Metal Detecting Shovel with Serrated Blade https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006AEBI6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NxZMAbE21CDPZ
I got This Bundle on amazon that comes with a Garett bag and a Garett pin pointer. It’s awesome because the pointer has a holster that attaches onto the bag!
I believe this is a fine detector for your purposes. I've seen better models for rent at the same price, especially if you are planning to use it for only the weekend. You may find a better one to rent for a comparable price. Although there tends to be a bit of a learning curve with higher quality detectors (in my experience) so make sure you get a good class from the dealer before you take it out.
Either way, that model will detect metal, no doubt about it., And with the kids, I would say an equally important part of this adventure is having the right tools. Specifically, a few of these to go around.
I've organized hunts for the little ones before, and I may or may not have seeded the beach with some coins in order to make sure everyone found something when it was their turn! Spend a few dollars and get a few rolls of coin to plant on the beach before the kids get out there. Or even a few Hot Wheels cars for the boys, or cheap accessory jewelry for the little ladies. I know it may not be a genuine experience, but I get the feeling this is more about creating memories. And there's nothing wrong with that. Don't forget the scoops!
Happy Hunting
I bought a sifting pan off amazon for $10.
I just dump the whole drum into the separator, then dump the ss media into the pan.
As for dumping the water, down the drain is the most responsible thing to do. Your local water treatment plant should be lead rated. If you just dump it outside or anywhere else it'll likely end up in a storm drain, then back to the environment.
I know you asking for a gas mower However I recently got a new mower as all my other ones I inherited over the years crapped out and I couldn't find the right parts for the life of me... And after reading about all the mowers out there 40v 60v 80v all had sub standard mowing and took multiple passes that the gas mowers would do in 1. Which lead me to the light commercial category and the 120v yard force.
In the end I went with the 120v yard force lawn mower. This mower is a beast and performs as well if not better than any 5-6hp gas mower I've owned (craftsman, Honda, and toro). The reviews I read (and hands on experience since owning it) said it was great with none of the cons the 40-80v had. Note: 80v mowers are right where they start getting better but they still struggle on thick patches.
Came with 2 batteries. I can do 3-4 Mows on a single battery charge of my 2000 sqft lawn. Takes a single pass. I bag my grass and throw it into a compost pile but from what I've heard the mulching ability is good.
Yard Force Lithium-Ion 22" Self-Propelled 3-in-1 Mower with Torque-Sense Control - 2 Batteries & Fast Charger included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074KNZMWG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_g1czDbW0R8T0Y
There are good electric mowers you just gotta pony up and pay for the premium to get the torque needed to do the job right. Or go gas...
But with climate change and the likes and how lawn mower engines produce a lot of emissions it was worth the premium for me. Plus I'll never have to buy gas again to mow my lawn!
> Do you have any pictures, really interested in this idea.
Photos.
We just rake/blow up a pile and run them through a shredder. Just a simple string trimmer line model like this.
Sometimes we set the shredder on a tarp and drag the mulch over to its intended area, sometimes we set the shredder on top of a huge Brute garbage can for collection, and other times we set the shredder directly in the ornamental bed.
I have to rake the shredded bits around so there is quite a bit of raking in my procedure. On the bright side it counts for that day's workout.
The mulch it makes is wonderful. If I blow the leaves out of my beds and mulch with commercial bagged mulch my order is upwards of 450 bags or several large truckloads- I have a lot of ornamental beds. But this leaf mulch works really well, is nice and soft to kneel in for weeding, and walks the fine line of lasting a full season and decomposing and aiding my soil.
It is by far my preferred mulch.
This explains it pretty well
Keep in mind they're fixing up one that went well past it's routine maintenance. Usually you can use a tool that came with the sharpening kit which turn the blades by hand instead of with a drill. What took them 5 minutes with a drill would normally take 30 seconds by hand if you did it once a year.
This is the kit I use - It was $15 when I bought it
And here's my mower It's also down in price. I paid almost $80 (It's around $60 now :/)
I love my mower, but if I could change anything I probably would have gotten an 18 inch model. With a 5,000sf lawn I can do it all in under 30 minutes. I'm pretty happy about that, but it'd be nice if it took a little less time.
Really? Nobody? Nobody here is going to suggest killing it with fire??
Well then let me. Here's a nice handy tool: https://www.amazon.com/Mag-Torch-MT-5000-500000-Burner/dp/B00KXX6QMK/
Here we have a flame thrower (well, technically a blow torch) which you plug into your propane tank. Out pops 500,000BTU to turn your weeding into playtime.
The way you're supposed to do this is get something that pushes out 25,000 BTU or something like that and then just lightly warm your weeds until they turn a dark green. Then return the next day and sweep them away. The more satisfying method, however, is getting 500,000 BTU and lay that down against the weed like a jet engine verses a match.
You might need to be careful if you're using it in a dense flower bed because before you know it your wife will be yelling at you... but it's worth it. Also, mulch... might light on fire. And so could your house. But your weeds won't know what hit 'em.
Amazon appears to ship them...
I actually found something like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Tommyco-KP818-Purpose-Garden-Kneeler/dp/B001JEOH50/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1414378853&sr=8-2&keywords=gardening+knee+pad) at Walmart this summer and I've been using that. I have bad knees and it helps a lot. Blankets just don't cut it for me.
I bought a battery-powered mower last summer when we bought our house. I'm now in the market for a gas mower.
This is what I bought. The problem is mainly that the run time is so far short of what I need for my yard; realistically I need 2-3 charges to do the whole thing, depending on how long the grass is. Unfortunately I don't know my acreage so I get that's not very helpful to you.
The other problem is power - there just isn't that much. If I let the grass go for too long (10-14 days in the growing season), I just can't do it with my mower and have to pay someone. Plus there is sometimes a bit of a mohawk down the center of what I've mowed, I think due to the dual blades.
You can cure these issues by spending tons of money; either hundreds more for a second set of batteries or even more than that for a truly-powerful electric mower, but I'm not really looking to spend that kind of money.
All that being said, battery-powered is still fine if your yard is small enough. It really is so much more pleasant than dealing with a gas mower. I'll be sad to make the switch back over.
Maybe a cheap, brand new, well-cleaned leaf shredder/wood chipper? They have a pretty cheap one at the hardware store that’s electric, and used for light duty stuff for about $100. Seriously.
https://www.amazon.com/Worx-Amp-Electric-Leaf-Mulcher/dp/B002MAPZYC/ref=asc_df_B002MAPZYC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167133658256&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17962565454632033136&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9015669&hvtargid=pla-316285015395&psc=1
Someone on this subreddit recommended "gardener kneepads". I ended up getting a few of these. I keep them beside my yoga mat always.
https://www.amazon.com/Tommyco-Kneepads-Inc-KP819/dp/B001JEOH50
It looks like those might be unavailable, but I wanted to link to exactly what I ordered.
Here's the one I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006AEBI6K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's small and lightweight but cuts through the dirt like a hot knife through butter! ☺
Buy the Jeff Bezos model
Garden Torch
JB Weld
Airsoft Rifle
If you want an actual flame thrower then give your money to these people X15
Or fill a super soaker with gasoline and save $500.
My suggestions might be different if you hadn't indicated both low budget and immediate(?) need.
[Sand scoop] (https://www.amazon.com/SE-GP3-SS20-Plastic-Treasure-Hunting/dp/B00KEV2RRY/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468600120&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=snad+scoop)...the heavier/heavier duty ones become less attractive for a number of reasons. This one can be scooped through dry sand and shaken with relative ease. If wet sand...slow way down and place a shovelful into it and shake(not nearly ideal, but gets the job done and stays in budget)
Shovel...lots of options in the $10-$20 range. Check the local hardware store. IMHO, I would avoid wooden handles and def stay away from survival type tool/shovels with threads. Sand/grit + threads, don't mix well
A trash "bag". It's the nature of the beast, as you've seen in your 1st foray, you are likely to dig more trash than treasure. This is a great time to re-enforce good stewardship. Bring an onion bag or 2 to place all the junk finds in and dispose of them in a proper receptacle when you leave the beach. Small length of cord attached allows it to be slung over shoulder or slightly longer cord can be tied around waist and dragged behind.
Small goodie bag so treasure doesn't get "re-lost"
Have Fun!!!!
Hey guys, i'm new to detailing and I've been lurking around this subreddit for a while now, so I figured this was the right place to get some help.
I recently bought a Sun Joe Spx 1500 (https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Joe-SPX1500-Pressure-Electric/dp/B01IJ2SCF0/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3T9276WQD7OHU&keywords=sun+joe+spx1500&qid=1562874471&s=gateway&sprefix=sun+joe+spx+1500%2Caps%2C166&sr=8-2)
and a Dusichin Sfl-100 foam cannon (https://www.amazon.com/DUSICHIN-SFL-001-Pressure-Release-Adjustable/dp/B00WPKHFA6/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_86_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=E38KDVCN4MV5RTRMGQWR)
and the cannon does not go with the pressure washer, so I was looking for some help on how I would go about making these two work together instead of buying another foam cannon.
I was thinking about buying this gun (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZZ2LQ35/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3N2AP77W7SQTI&psc=1), but i'm not sure if it would work with my pressure washer or if I would need and adapter or something.
Any help would be appreciated. (sorry for the formatting)

I use a home depot extension with this swivel piece
Depending on how big the area you need to search is, you may be better off just getting a pin pointer. Like this
They are effective at finding pieces on top of the ground and just below it. My daughter does it all the time, when she just wants to search a small area. Keep in mind that this is a hands and knees operation going this route. If you ever decide to get into metal detecting, you will want one of these anyways.
Isn’t this much better?
I'd invest in an inline carbon filter. They're typically used for indoor marijuana growing to disguise the very strong odor it produces.
Something like this.
I'd set one of those up near the window or where-ever the smoke enters at. You'll want a pre-filter to catch dust/big particles to make the carbon filter last longer and you can add a sponge at the end and buy various oils/scents and wet the sponge with it to help freshen the air as well.
I knew a guy who would grow 2 large hydroponic weed plants in a small room and you could not smell a thing because he used one of those carbon filters to vent it.
I've been using this for about a year now, works great

Saw a YouTube video that showed this wand being used. Much cheaper than the MTM units! Not sure how long it will last, but probably will be fine for homeowner use.

I also recommend one of these for cleaning under the car/truck. I found this at WalMart for $1.50(!) on rollback a few weeks back. YMMV though.
Buy it off Amazon and have it shipped directly to the hotel- it looks cheap enough to just leave it there when you are done.

Yeah, all the rest of the crap in that URL is tracking info. Might as well make all of us click on banner ads while you’re at it!
I’ve always just used this style of URL: www.amazon.com/dp/B01N11IBJU , but your way is nice too.
I returned the Ego and got a Yardforce. Dumb name but my grass is thicker and the ego didn't have enough power. Yard Force Lithium-Ion 22" Self-Propelled 3-in-1 Mower with Torque-Sense Control - 2 Batteries & Fast Charger included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074KNZMWG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ucYUDbE3T5M1E

They make digging targets in any ground conditions much easier. Just be careful with the large shovel when you're digging around buried pipes or cables. Its so sharp it will cut through most things without you even knowing.
Can you replace yours with one of these?
Wow you weren’t kidding.
