I’m a home cook, and my favourite oven mitt is the 15” Starfrit oven mitt. It’s not as shifty/slippy as an all silicone mitt, and it comes high enough up my forearm to prevent burns, without being oversized.

I got mine at Canadian Tire, but I think this is it in the US: oven mitt
