Sure they were marbles or nylon practice balls? They were banned years ago, but I'm sure some chinese company still makes them so people can practice and not burn paint.
My mistake, they do still make them and sell them: https://www.amazon.com/Defense-Target-Practice-Paintballs-Paintball/dp/B01N5L11KK/
They cost $0.03 each! It would have cost a whole buck to shoot the crap out of him!
Came here to say this. It was solid yellow and he popped it out intact perfectly.

I'm thinking that these might work in one of the dart zone hoppers, making it into a mini Perses.
I'm curious as the possibility of it before pulling the trigger since I've only ever seen these in a 500 pack at $60
The money it would cost to get those Paintballs is about $350 +/- $40.
My guess is that a company was nice enough to lend them the guns for 30 minutes while the guys shot their video. Not to mention some people probably already had their own gun.
I feel like people need to dive more into the logic of this rather than say, think, and stick with the first thing that comes to their mind.
Honestly ANS will ship d3fy practice paint to anywhere in continental US for 35 a case. So you're saving 4 bucks a case by ponying up big bucks. Not to mention you'll have to store and maintain the paint. It needs to be temp controlled and flipped. Hell even Amazon has cases as cheap as 35 to 38 and if you have prime they'll two day ship it.

I've bought paint from Amazon and ANS and from a small sample size of 3 orders I've yet to receive a single broken paintball. You do you but, untill you're buying a whole pallet it's not worth it. Back in my youth we would organize with a local shop and have them order our pallet with thiers. This cut shipping down and we had paint down to 25 a case but, I was on a psp team at the time trying to practice a ton.
Comments on the other post say they're reballs, reusable plastic balls used for training. You're supposed to turn down the pressure so they don't do as much damage, which this guy didn't do i guess.
Maybe I should give a bit more info.
We don't really play at official events. More a big group of friends that just wants to have some fun. We started playing in a building but now got the opportunity to play in a barn.
Nobody's really a fan of softair and using paintballs isn't a option because well...the paint.
Although we sometimes played that as well.
Now we just want something with high performance and no big modding.
Isn't it possible to just use smaller foam balls?

Markers don't seem to be that expensive. Maybe a budget one like a tippman 98. We already got access to a suitable compressor.

.50 Indoor rubber paintball ammo. I have used .68 cal rubber ammo in a co2 powered gun and they still sting a bit, but that is at a much higher fps. What's do you think?
You can buy powderball all across Canada.
Defcon
Paintballgear
Amazon
You can't buy PEPPERBALL, or any of the less-lethal self-defense equipment, which is an entirely different thing.
I have done both paintball and airsoft many times, and I own both a paintball and an airsoft gun. Clearly you didn't watch the video, they are using airsoft guns with airsoft paintballs like these My understanding is they don't work in all airsoft guns, you need an airsoft gun which specifically says it will work with airsoft paintballs. For example, my spring airsoft gun would splatter the airsoft paintballs in the gun and make a mess. You need a co2 powered airsoft gun to make it work.
Save your money and buy good quality paint. Doesn't matter what upgrades you have, if you use crappy paint your gun will shoot crappy. Most people out here go with Marbalizers because they have a thicker shell which should go through brush with better luck than tournament quality brittle paint. Buy a good mask that fits snug and has thermal lens, if you haven't already that is.
Get an HPA tank
Get an electronic hopper
Save up your money for a better performing gun. For longer woodsball/scenario games you're going to want to keep your set up light weight and Tippmann is not known for lightweight guns. You may think the heavy weight will make the gun more durable, but it only serves to wear you out faster.
If you want to stick with the mil-sim style I'd advise getting a pack to put your pods in and run an air tank with a remote hose to the gun. It should free up some of the weight and will make going prone and crawling around in the brush a bit easier.
Don't do it unless you want your friends to hate you. It doesn't get many barrel breaks because the shell is so damn hard. I bought two cases and threw away half of one because I was tired of my shots not breaking on my friends and they were tired of how much that crap hurt to get shot with. If you're looking for cheap Amazon paint I recommend this
JT Toxin Paintballs, 2000 Count, Green/Yellow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IESOCRW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_N.KiybJJY9SCM
Still crappy, but leagues better than infinity in my experience.

any thoughts on this for a new player?
