well I know that Uniqlo sells Japanese man-capri's called Suteteko, which are short pajama-like pants used for kick-around wear. They're a bit more fitted, so it may not be for your body shape if you're a typical 30-something. I've got a couple pairs of these Hugo Boss modal trunks. They breathe incredibly well and are very silky & light, but they hit above the knee. They also make a longer pants version if you're so inclined.

[Elastic waist/bottom sweatpants] (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hanes-Big-Men-s-ComfortBlend-Fleece-Sweatpants-Size-2XL/15420546)= ew. Low slung, [drawstring lounge pants] (http://www.amazon.com/Lucky-Brand-Sleep-Indigo-Medium/dp/B005B5N1CS/ref=sr_1_30?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1334546355&sr=1-30) with a slightly loose bottom on the weekends= yum. Just make sure to wear with a fitted v-neck shirt instead of a big loose t-shirt, and maybe flip flops instead of tennis shoes if you have to run out.

Calvin Klein's modal sleep pants are really long and incredibly soft.

Nautica makes extremely comfortable sleep shorts. They are infinitely more comfortable than sleeping in underwear.

I just picked up a pair of these: https://www.amazon.com/Nautica-130156-Mens-Knit-Short/dp/B0083H3PK4

Super comfortable, although lengthwise a little long (even with knee)
