Magic cards, when put in 3x3 are a really strange size ~(7.5*10.5). I ordered a six pack of diploma frames, and laid down a layer of black construction paper at the back of the frame. I struggled to figure out how to position the cards perfectly. I eventually used double sided tape to align all the cards on regular printer paper, and then cut all of the excess around the outside by cutting underneath the cards. This allowed me to lay the cards down as a sheet, as opposed to individually, so that I could get them centered. Once they were in the frame, and it was all closed up, the cards stayed still without moving when bumped/due to gravity/etc. I got the cards themselves from a retailer on eBay who sold me all 25 for $20. I could probably get them cheaper from a retailer website, but it was convenient enough for me to forgo the couple bucks I woulda saved.

Yeah - I like the size. Take a look at that link again. I added more of how it looks in the room and other posters I have that are the same size.

For frames, I really like the Craig Frames on Amazon. I have my posters in Brazilian Walnut and Black (FJM and the three in a row are in black frames, two by themselves are in Brazilian walnut). Amazon has multi-packs of theseframes for better deals. They do have plastic frontS, not glass but I'm fine with that for the price. They've also shipped well too.

I bought my diploma frame for $20 on Amazon. It looks really nice IMO.

I bought a trashed copy of Kraftwerk's Autobahn just so I could frame it (Art was in good shape, but the LP was rough). I love the album, and every time I see it on my wall I'm reminded of how amazing it is.

I've bought a bunch of the cheap frames and found the best ones are the ultra-thin frames like this. Since the frame is so thin they look really good and otherwise they are functionally fine. I would stay away from more traditional designs because if you have a thick 1" border it's really obvious if it's fake wood or plastic.

It's one of the cheaper ones but I did have some struggle putting it together. Just have a hammer and a electric drill and you'll be fine though. It looks really good though.

You want to get a box frame similar to this from Amazon. I've used similar ones to hang other flat collectables before but I can't speak for this brand specifically.

I bought frames twice off of Amazon and they had holes and warps in the plastic both times. So annoyed lmao i recommend just going to a store and getting the best looking frames you can.

Cool, but I'll point out that those dimensions are for something about the size of a sheet of paper. You'd need something larger for posters, like these. About $12.50 each, not bad.

All the ones I have are a standard size. I buy these frames. They’re lightweight and easy to hang.

Bullshit. If your three degrees had cost you an extra 90 to get you would have found the money. Go on amazon, search for diploma frames, and buy three. They're as low as $15 each for a decent looking faux wood frame. I don't doubt money may be tight but you are making an excuse. Ask for frames for your next birthday or holiday gift, surely someone you know would pay for a $25 frame.

Since the frame doesn't come with it, I recommend these poster frames from Amazon. They're for the 24x36 ones. I just got them yesterday for my Bioshock posters and they're cheap and fantastic, not to mention easy to disassemble/reassemble. Comes with 2 frames.

These are 2 things I've gotten for my mom in the past and she loved! For the picture one you could print pictures of you and your mom!

If you're displaying full pages, this fits comic books so I would have to guess it'll work for a full page as well. If you're looking to display splash page, you'll need something different.

My roommate has this really neat picture hanger - she hangs ticket stubs, postcards, etc. on it as well and I love it!

My guess is that if they are best friends, they'll just consider the record and poster both to be both of theirs. They won't want to separate the two. And I think that they would love to have it. Give them both the record and then give them the frame. They'll hang the poster up and be happy that they have such an awesome sibling.

Also, if they don't have a turntable, [LP frames] (http://www.amazon.com/ClassyWraps-Frame-Collection-LP-BLK-Black/dp/B002QGE3HM) are pretty cheap and would allow them to display the LP, too. Just tell them to keep them away from direct sunlight, or the picture will fade.

I have 10 framed pieces of varying size in my house, all using the same basic black ArtToFrames frame from Amazon. They're cheap as hell (compared to other frame options), they make them in a broad range of common sizes, and they look good if you want something simple. I just received 3 more the other day and have always used Amazon Prime for them, but when I just pulled up the link above, it seems like they're no longer for Amazon Prime.

Still a great deal and a good solution.

For prints and such that I've bought, I became quite fond of MCS Format frames, however their 8.5 x 11 frames are not actually big enough for that size of print, and they didn't respond to my emails, so... I have to shop elsewhere I guess. Problem is I don't like clunky bezels and am having a really tough time finding frames I can order online. Does anyone have suggestions?

This one is nice and its glass not plastic and I like the fact that the record overlaps the jacket, but I'd worry about it putting pressure on the record and jacket.

as far as other ideas, I love the simple DIY display of just putting up strips of door frame molding
