So! I finally found the perfect tree for me. Every year I can't have a tree because my cats would climb it and break even fake trees. They also break ornaments.
However I saw the perfect tree at the store that the cats can't climb nor can they break the ornaments that come with it! Behold the tree of my dreams

The biggest hits outside are probably their water table, their sand/picnic table and their swings. They've got a play house that they also like and the climber playhouse that I got them for their birthday last year. I'd forgo the the latter as it is a monstrosity and they have just as much fun with the smaller house.
Edit: oh and for pools just the cheap hard plastic ones as the inflatable ones are a giant pain in the butt to blow up
Amazon has this super adorable castle tent! Should be easy to set up and put away when you have guests over, too.
I think we are finally TV-weaned, after the great stomach sickness. We had gotten into a habit of a tv show or two in the morning, and then one or two in the afternoon/evening, and it was a bit rough, but now we're down to just one tv show right before dinner (the worst tie of all!).
Last night they were playing outside while I made dinner, and they only ended up watching half of a show.
Also, does anyone have any great outdoor toy ideas? I keep hesitating about something like the climber/slide things, like this, and then I find fancy expensive wooden toys to play with outside. I don't really want to consider a big installed playset, because we seem incapable of staying in one house for more than a couple of years, so it'd be nicer to have something that can easily move with us.

In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.

Ahh yes! Those will be perfect for the upkeep of my actual house.
Sonya, Your Momma wouldn't tell you this but everyone has inside stuff and outside stuff. People usually keep the bad parts of themselves inside and only show the good parts on the outside, for the world to see. Sonja, never judge yourself harshly for the stuff on your inside, especially when you're compare your inside to other peoples' outside. They're crazy, just like everyone else!
Every 5 year old should have a really awesome playhouse, maybe with a play kitchen in it, too.
For indoor, this would work although it's expensive (so maybe something similar).... http://www.amazon.com/ECR4Kids-SoftZone-Slide-Crawl-Set/dp/B007XE942Q/ref=lp_1243731011_1_18?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1451146497&sr=1-18
For outdoor, you have more options.

Except it cost about $220! It took three grown men a couple days to build so you'll definitely still have to put work in ;) Good luck in whatever you decide - it's a wonderful idea for a little girl!
