Absolutely this. I use Dove for Men for most of my hygiene products.

For nicer occasions, my wife got me this Mahogany Woods stuff from Bath & Body Works that is stout as fuck. You wanna use like 1/3rd of what you think you need because you'll smell like a fuckin forest when you walk into the room lmao

Also I know this is a soap thread but I gotta* shoutout this shit. I started using these charcoal pore strips once a month when I get out of the shower. I'm very surprised at how much it just makes me feel cleaner in-general.

I found cheek-sized ones (US Amazon link), at least.

There's an alternate seller selling for $3.10 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N9TSRPE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_vVZLybKXPCMQP

They're these little patch bandages that suck out pus/oil. I find they work quite well.

I do. The CosRx Pimple Patches are popular on here. I use the Nexcare version or Clearasil ones because they are available at my local drugstore.

I just came across these patches and you get a lot more than most brands.
Acne Patch, Poppyo Acne Care Pimple Patch Absorbing Round Pads, Blemish Covers - Hydrocolloid Bandages (108 Count), Acne Spot Treatment for Face & Skin Spot Patch That Conceals Acne https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QPLX6KX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AQYvDbFZ5GT03

This is the brand I get Avarelle Acne Absorbing Cover Patch Hydrocolloid, Tea Tree, Calendula Oil, CICA (40 ROUND PATCHES) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075QNC39Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yUYvDb3ARPG7A I like them a little bit more than cosrx because it has tea tree, centella asiatica, and calendula oil in it.

Not a dude but hopefully I can help! I wouldn't expect a lot of coverage from BB creams or tinted moisturizers, I'd get a good skin color concealer as well as a green concealer to counteract the redness. r/makeupaddiction is a good place for advice if you've never worn makeup.

There's also these thin hydocolloid patches, they're great especially for acne I can't or don't want to put makeup on.

Usually using an AHA and BHA are great for the marks you have left behind (sounds like hyperpigmention).
Since you're on isotretinoin I'd be careful about using AHA and BHA since your skin is probably sensitive and dry already- definitely ask your derm first.

Ordered off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N224F9Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ran out of my patches and I use a lot, so I bought multiple packs at once 5 sheets for $13.68.

However, the packaging has changed, it smells like petrol, and has changed in look and stickiness. Wtf.

Maybe I just got a bunk brand. I should have picked some up when I was checking out my Amazon cart today. I picked up some goofy COSRX blackhead removing silk finger balls that didn't get great reviews, but still look fun as hell to use!

Ha, my husband and I have an identical tradition.

For the Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings/Marvel Movies stuff Think Geek has a ton of items. There's also a bunch of smallish board games themed around those. (Just do the name of the thing + board game on amazon, at minimum a ton of themed cards pop up)

As for "normal girl stuff" I am madly in love with the [sheet masks](https://www.amazon.com/TONYMOLY-Real-Mask-Sheet-Pack/dp/B00SAT6GVK/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1480355696&sr=8-1&keywords=tony+moly(https://www.amazon.com/TONYMOLY-Real-Mask-Sheet-Pack/dp/B00SAT6GVK/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1480355696&sr=8-1&keywords=tony+moly)
and nose pore thingies from Tony Moly. These are nice too since they are kind of fun one time use things so she doesn't accidentally wind up with a ton of lotion in a scent she doesn't like or something. They also sell them at ULTA if you don't want to order online

I love hydrocolloid patches for being that barrier to physically prevent me from touching the parts of my face begging to be touched.

Try a product called Skin Miso! It is a three step blackhead extraction kit.
http://www.amazon.com/Skinmiso-Beauty-Blackhead-Remover-1step/dp/B00EOSH3AO/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1458240093&sr=8-1&keywords=skin+miso

It works by using ingredients to pull the sebum and nasty-ness to the surface rather than ripping it out with a nose pore strip.

Step (1) Use the pre-soaked nose sheet mask and leave for the directed amount of time (I think it was 15 minutes?)
(2) Use a comedome extractor tool to gently manipulate the sebum and blackheads out of your pores. It comes with a black cotton bud but I prefer to use the metal extractor (GENTLY!)
3) Rinse your nose off well with cool water
4) Use the second step nose sheet mask to close pores back up
5) Use included serum/primer to help keep oil out!

This seems to work well for me about once a week and it's totally painless. :)

If you need a new reliable brand, I really like the MEDca ones and it’s a 3-pack for like $8:

Acne Care Pimple Patch Absorbing Cover - Hydrocolloid Bandages (108 Count) Two Universal Sizes, Acne Spot Treatment for Face & Skin Spot Patch That Conceals Acne, Reduces Pimples and Blackheads https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0786Y1D8Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_wloHAbW5X9FCE

I wasn't doing much at all prior to this because I hardly had any knowledge regarding the subject. In the AM and PM I would rinse my face with soap and use this product. It didn't really do that much to assist in reducing acne, however, I never really had breakouts like this. Would you suggest skipping either the moisturizer or the cleanser tonight to see which may be the culprit? Thanks for the response btw.

I have been using this brand of skin products for years and only found the acne patch recently. The best thing about these things is that once you put it on it camouflaged the spot, even looking in the mirror and I cannot see the patch and can hardly see the acne underneath. I sometimes put one on at night and in the morning all the gunk has been pulled out and is on the patch.

I would recommend washing your the area after taking the patch off as if you were washing off makeup or oils from the skin, the gunk that's pulled out can easily smear and get into other pores. Generally, they take the pimples from there is a volcano on my face, to there is a flat slightly red spot on my face in about 12 hours. I have used a few different brands, there dose not seem to be a huge difference from one brand to another, but they are as close to a magic wand for skin as I can imagine.

Hi all, first time posting here so I apologize if I messed something up!

I've been having these weird reddish acne-like bumps on my forehead for the last year and a bit. They look kind of like pimples but never actually turn into full-blown pimples.

I'm a tanned Asian female in my mid 20's, I've generally had pretty good skin most my life. My skin is combination-dry, but mostly dry I think. I live in the Pacific Northwest - wet, mild, temperate climate.

My skincare routine is very simple.
