I pretty much follow what John Meadows says to follow.
Edit- Intra I use: Prime Nutrition Platinum Series... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073ZLMVYV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share.
Maybe next time I’m out I’ll buy up Meadows version and see if I notice any differences.
My typical recovery drink is a protein smoothie (Vega protein powder, frozen berries, and water or almond milk).
Also recently I discovered Vega Recovery Accelerator, which I think works very well. It is more convenient than a smoothie when I am not at home.
Pre & Post:
Kre-Alkalyn creatine 1 pill each
Post:
Vega Sport Recovery Accelerator - Tropical flavor + 8oz water
10mg CBD [Cannabidiol isolate] in MCT oil sublingual tincture
1 scoop hemp protein + probiotic powder + 1 frozen banana, coconut milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, handful of blueberries and unsweetened coconut flakes + 1 tablespoon MCT oil
Is this you?
alright here goes my exhaustive list of stuff that goes into my preworkout! i love to research the stuff that works, and then experiment to see how effectively they work for me, especially on keto.

currently experimenting with:
phew! making this list made me realize how much time and effort i put into the trial and error of my preworkout. of course, i supplement a lot of this stuff with my other meals as well. as you can see, i'm very big on supplements, biohacking, and nootropics. i read up a lot on research in my spare time.
Man if as soon as you drink your bcaas you bloat, drop them! That sounds like your issue.
You should look into karbolyn like this one I use.
It's intra workout carbs and will do so much more for you than bcaas. I take 20g intra workout.
And I'll be running test E into and through my show, at the request of my coach. So even he doesn't believe in the difference in bloat.

Look at the ingredients list. You can put those thighs together in a shake or a number of pills
I’m doing it at a surplus on OMAD, here’s an average day... sometimes it’s chicken or salmon rather than beef, but a salad is my meal 5-6 nights out of 7
The protein smoothie is right when I get home from the gym (no longer using GOL protein, switched to Biosteel chocolate whey ), then I’ll start prepping dinner.
I make an olive oil based dressing for the salad - olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a dash of mustard, salt, pepper, Italian blend
It’s a big ass calorie dense salad
Things like this
Was it the Beach Body P90X recovery drink? That stuff is so good but it's mad expensive. Used to come in a white tub.

This is the cheapest I could find: https://www.amazon.com/Mikes-Mix-Tapioca-Maltodextrin-Carbohdrate/dp/B00YYDNKGK
It's literally the first search result on google.
Has anyone tried Clear Muscle? Just wondering. I've been interested in what they've been saying in the reviews and want to try it myself, but want to know if anyone else has had a go at it or has heard anything about it other than what they say.
Yes, processed grains are higher GI, but they're not sugar, which (for lack of a better word) is bioavailable much faster.
Don't overthink the substance. My personal choice is typical PWO like Optimum Nutrition After Max, Dark Matter, or simply dextrose powder. To further reduce, the biggest dude I know eats a cupcake or poptart with his PWO shake everyday. The point is to spike your insulin and muscle glycogen as fast as possible, sometimes a choco-taco is all you need.
Here's what I'm thinking of putting together:
BCAAs (Edit: Just realized this is not vegan friendly)
L-Arginine a-Ketoglutarate
L-Citrulline DL-Malate
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine
Beta Alanine
Creatine Monohydrate
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Maltodextrin
Waxy Maize
I'm currently using a mix very similar to the above listed ingredients and it works very well!
I would like to just take a pre-mixed powder, but it seems like they all have caffeine, which I'm not a fan of for working out in the evening.
I'm also somewhat interested in Agmatine Sulfate and Phenylethylamine. Anyone have any opinions on those two chemicals?

HMB-FA is available on the consumer market under the name BetaTOR.
I searched Karbolyn on Amazon. The product title says "... 35.2 Pound" for $30. Then I check the shipping info, and it says "2.5 pounds." Damn typos, got me all excited for nothing.
Karbolyn sounds really interesting. The description is like how spinach is for Popeye. I'll probably try it out once then keep the rest for emergencies. Stuff is too expensive for me.
Is this the same product you mentioned?

Vega Recovery Accelerator
I appreciate the anti inflammatory aspect because I am old.
I'll look into this- thanks!
Also, Amazon is way cheaper

I have read that Cissus Quadrangularis helps with bone and ligament healing. I used to for a hand fracture recently and it seemed to heal quickly.

>Yeah, I find going too low carbs fucks with me - I tried 12-15% which is still more than keto - and I couldn't sleep well and wasn't feeling I was getting enough veg
That IS super low for carbs, but are you supplementing? I was having sleep issues (but felt great otherwise) when i was super strict on keto. I did some looking around and figured out it was most likely a nutrient deficiency (zinc & magnesium, mostly). So I switched most of my lunches to be a giant bowl of baby spinach + whatever protein/fat. That helped, as well as this supplement which has a lot of great sleep-important nutrients (zinc, magnesium, theanine,
wait ... does that mean that I can make baker's glucose by getting some powdered dextrose and mixing it with water?
This stuff, I mean. A cookbook I have swears by it as a partial sugar replacer, for making better ice cream and cookies and stuff, the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook.
But I can buy 7 pounds of dextrose powder here!
Take a few minutes after your workout to stretch and roll out.
This next part will be YMMV. I drink a protein shake with a scoop of Legion Recharge I found it has helped me recover faster. Before I took it, my legs were still sore from the previous night's workout. Since I started taking it, my legs feel fine. But again, YMMV.
I used to use this and really liked it for post workout. I don't know if it's designed for sprinting or not though
. afterglow
I've tried 2 kinds. My first was Optimum Nutrition. Decent value, decent mixability, but it was like drinking liquid sugar. The lemon lime flavor wasn't quite so bad but fruit punch was almost undrinkable. Better have a sweet tooth with this brand. edit: and now I can't find the lemon lime flavor anywhere. :(
My second brand was Vintage Build off Amazon. It is a LOT more expensive, but it's the absolute best in mixability and drinkability. But that price point...yikes.
I will sometimes get headaches after the gym, but it usually takes a couple hours for them to start and then they last all damn day.
I havent' done it with enough regularity to know if it holds any weight, but a couple times I took down some coconut water after the workout and was all good. It is supposed to be a great hydrator. So I'm not sure if it is a hydration thing or not. I normally work out right in the morning so I'm probably a little dehydrated to start.
I normally have one of these shakes after I'm done and it does nothing as far as headaches go.
I hate to push supplements, but I currently use https://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Nighttime-Recovery-supplement/dp/B000GIQS02
Generally, if you find something that works you stick to it. I am about to give https://www.amazon.com/PrimaForce-ZMA-Supplement-180-Capsules/dp/B00MKSLYW8/ref=zg_bs_6939283011_6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PV3CJNYASM177MJ4JWCB a try, it's about 5 dollars a bottle cheaper.
I am also looking at https://www.amazon.com/Evlution-Nutrition-Nighttime-Recovery-Support/dp/B014QC0BT2/ref=zg_bs_6939283011_8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PV3CJNYASM177MJ4JWCB. While it is more expensive for less per bottle, I am curious at the benefits of piperine. I might get a piperine/turmeric supplement and at it to my current ZMA regiment before bed.
You can also get bulk Zinc and magnesium. The most important thing is to find the "good"/most bioavailable form of supplements. Most cheapo supplements you get from your family dollar or Wal-mart are crap as far as bioavailability goes. Do your research. Spend more money to get supplements that actually work and not inert crap that you pee and crap out. Do your research, experiment, if you find something that works, keep using it.
