It's just a design play. Electronic opisometers already exist: https://www.amazon.com/Calculated-Industries-6025-Digital-Measure/dp/B002O16VKQ/
...better grip, better reach, and smaller wheel too- so it's gonna be more acurate than a silver-dollar-sized wheel you need to hold awkwardly.

Keep the portafilter in the machine to warm up. Also, go get a cheap American weight scale from amazon so you can weigh your dose/shot to maintain consistency. This is a good one and is only $8.

$50, decent reviews, and it already exists.

Unless you're some kind of nut job who refuses to use any device that doesn't connect to your fucking smart phone.

Bought on amazon, nice and small, convenient for sitting on the cup tray on my machine. Not too much lag either, very accurate, and cheap! Link below:

I strongly recommend buying a shipping scale. For the same price as a fancy bathroom scale they are accurate down to a twentieth of a pound and never gives a bad reading. Been using this for years and I love it.

WeighMax W-4830 Industrial Postal Scale 330lb https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AKV422/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UP75Ab93C5G5K

Also, always only weigh yourself in the morning, after you use the toilet and before you eat or drink anything, and only naked or in your underwear. That way you are sure to always be comparing apples to apples. Your weight can fluctuate so much throughout the day depending on what you eat and what you're wearing.

I use this one. Works good, has a wired display so you can actually put larger boxes on it, can be powered with batteries or USB. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016LKIP4U you can find cheaper but this seems to be recommended more than most.

It sounds like you are taking too much. Get a scale [($7.26 on Amazon](https://smile.amazon.com/Weigh-MS-600-Digital-Pocket-Scale/dp/B004O792H2/ref=sr_1_6_a_it?. ie=UTF8&qid=1498668544&sr=8-6&keywords=pocket+scale)) and start smaller. I would start around 2g (which is less than 1tsp). If you still get nausea, wait till tomorrow and start with 1.5g. If you are not satisfied add another 0.5g an hour after the first. If you are still not satisfied wait till the next day and start with 2.5g adding another 0.5g after an hour if necessary. Keep going like that till you find what works.

Keep a log of strains, dosages, effects - it's a plant so it's inexact. Finding what works can take some time, patience, and trial and error. Get some different strains and start trying them out. u/ko951 put together this list of vendors who offer samplers. Try some things out and keep notes.

Kratom affects people differently so it is hard to predict exactly what to expect, especially when starting out. Many times people starting out think that it is not 'working' at first. Some of that is about managing expectations

The Kratom 101 has a lot of good general information

Well lookie what I found.

Definitely get a scale. Seriously a great investment for saving as much as possible on shipping. Every ounce counts. I bought this scale and love it. Also make sure you round up when doing USPS. If your package weighs 4.1 oz, mark it as 5.

u/rickearthc137 · 3 pointsr/parrots

You should try waking your bird up 1/2 hour earlier than normal and moving him to a perch. If you predictably get that massive bird morning poop everything's likely OK.

Also, if you are in the habit of frequently weighing your bird, are you seeing any fluctuation? If not, I highly recommend picking up a bird scale with a "T" perch and adding it to your routine.

Ollie's weighs 450 g and is predictable +/- 5 grams depending on poop/water time of day. If I saw it go +/- 15 he'd probably be getting an unscheduled checkup.

I also have one...every time a similar “new measuring device” shows up on reddit I’m over here with my 30+ year old one like ??? They even already make digital ones with hundreds of reviews on amazon...

accutek 110lb scale available in many colors, cheap, works for most flippers. Many of us here have this one.

u/NoPleaseDont · 3 pointsr/Flipping

I bought this one and it has worked perfectly so far.

u/Youkahn · 2 pointsr/Flipping

Coincidentally, I also have it. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KYA47HI?psc=1

u/nametemplate · 2 pointsr/Flipping

I've used this one

and this one

Personally I like the first one better. The bigger base is very nice. edit: you need to consider the size of the packages you're weighing. I need a scale that will measure heavy packages, the first one is better for that sort of thing. For general purpose ebay selling I'd get a scale that measures up to say 50lb, that should be good enough. Or maybe 2 scales, one for small stuff and one like the 2 I listed for heavy packages.

u/DerpitytheHerpity · 2 pointsr/funny

This is the one I used to use. It's great.

u/RobotLostInSpace · 2 pointsr/FTC

My recommendation is to get one with an extended control board for easier reading. I have personally used a scale like this for FRC: https://www.amazon.com/Accuteck-Digital-Industry-Shipping-ACB440/dp/B00LPUZP1I/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1537817948&sr=8-8&keywords=heavy+duty+scales

We have added a piece of plywood that was a bit bigger to use it for the robot. It was a past mentors that they used for the Ebay business.

Germany checking in here, first of all r/ecr_eu is a wonderful place to look for resources.

As for your situation, this is coming to Germany as well and its gonna hit a lot harder here unfortunately. For us DIY will soon be the only real alternative to keep vaping feasible.

I actually started DIY a long time ago, because I didn't want to order juice all the time, it is more hassle than the actual diy once you got it dialed down. I need roughly 300ml of liquid per month, well maybe a little more from time to time but in general that number holds up.

So I make liquid exactly every two months. It takes me about 30min each time. I have to admit though that this is because I've got my favorites and do not have the time on my hands to experiment to find new stuff I like so I stick to what I know I'll want to vape all day everyday. In my case a nice placid clone I found in r/diyejuice .

So since you mentioned you don't want to spend lots of time maybe this will help. Get yourself the following items:

[1x Fine scale ](http://www.amazon.de/Kalibriergewicht-Taschenwaage-Feinwaage-Digitalwaage-Goldwaage/dp/B00372YUKO?ie=UTF8&keywords=feinwaage&qid=1458855398&ref
=sr_1_2&sr=8-2)

2x 500ml glas bottles

1 or 2l of your preffered VG/PG mix without nicotine alternatively you can order from cloudhouse

100ml of 36mg Nikotin base, since you use a crown I guess you are using 3 or 6mg, this will give you 1.2l or 600ml depending on what you want.

Try to get the same PG/VG mix in base and nicotine so you do not have to worry about that later.

last but not least of course flavoring
My personal opinion, and this is of course highly subjective!!, is that I would only by The Perfumers Apprentice and Flavor Art, some people keep on raving about Capella and, again my personal experience, their flavors were so bad the sit almost completely full on my shelf. TPA and FA are both highly respected brands and have great aroma.

Additionally you can take on some small measuring buckets that will come in handy when you find out how much 1ml of Arome weighs, the websites that calculate that for you are shit and you only have to do it once, it is roughly 4.4g per ml, just measure it once for yourself and note it down somewhere. To make it easier fill one of those small cups that flaywer send you for free with every order to 5 or 10ml und just divide it to get the right amount for 1ml. Just makes your life easier.

Well and thats it, check out the clone threads on r/diy_ejuice to find stuff you like and try to mix 30ml first, see what you like and as soon as you find something you really like, or a recipe for your ADV you buy now start making the juice by the liter.

Also steam engine's calculator usually is a great help http://www.steam-engine.org/juice.asp especially if you have to mix nicotine and non nicotine base.

I know since you are swiss ordering liquid from Europe, the budget stuff will not bother you that much, but still its nice to know you'll pay cents instead of euros per 30ml.

So far for me there are only two liquids I couldn't find a recipe for, or come up with one myself that hits the spot (Tmax Snake Oil and Lime Margarita), everything else I was looking for was already cloned.

u/Myamaranth · 2 pointsr/makeupexchange

This is the scale I purchased.

If she's just purchasing the lip tars, its pretty easy to guesstimate how much it would be since each tar is .33oz. Thats a little under 1oz combined for two, lets just say the bubble mailer is another 1oz. Thats 2oz.. the trick is to make sure you round up a bit as you don't want the postage to be returned.

I have this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004T5Z25U/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=pe_385040_30332200_TE_item

Some reviews at Amazon link to github. I have yet to experiment with them though-- the scale is still in the box.

If you end up getting the same one, let me know. I can lend a hand in getting it set up. Two heads are better than one.

I just bought this one a few days ago. Haven't tried it out yet but reviews are really good and the price seems right. Wide range of weight it can cover.

For this promo, "items must ship from and be sold by Amazon".

Just got a bunch of office supplies and an Accuteck scale using the discount.

u/Speckknoedel · 1 pointr/Kochen

Was surprised and double-checked for fake reviews.

The adjusted rating seems legit. A lot Ck products on amazon have the equivalent of reddit vote manipulation. So it’s worth it to check sometimes.

Pack you bag at home with a hanging scale.
http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh-Scale-Digital-0-05-Pounds/dp/B0012TDR9E

You will be way better off if your weight is perfect. making decisions when your bags are strewn everywhere is silly is costly.

u/ieatyogurtnaked · 1 pointr/Flipping

I don't ship clothes usually but I think a lot of folks here use poly bags to ship clothes.

Yes you should invest in a scale. And you definitely need to weigh the item in the polybag or box. Unless it's a flat rate box.

I bought this scale. Worth every penny.

Weighmax W-2809 90 LB X 0.1 OZ Durable Stainless Steel Digital Postal Scale, Shipping Scale With AC adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MT86A1I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LFHQCb7MGH1FZ

one more thing and i will stop harassing you. You should weigh your bird every day using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/ZIEIS-A63SS-NMP-Accuracy-Capacity-Stainless/dp/B0040HR28C/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8

Why? Well in the jungle predators will always attack first whichever animal in flock that looks sick or injured. For this reason parrots instinctively HIDE any illness until they are almost dead. The only way to get early warning of illness is to weight them. Weigh her every day at the same time. IF she drops 10% get her to a Vet THAT DAY if less watch closely and maybe go in for checkup. Also you should find an AVIAN vet ahead of time. Regular vets only get like 1 week on birds in school(many claim bird knowledge to get more $). See here: https://www.beautyofbirds.com/recommendedbirdvetsvirginia.html

Also, they love cheek rubs and tapping on top of head with 2 fingers :-) have fun

This may be too large for your intended use, but it's a really good scale for the price point...

https://www.amazon.com/US-Balance-Bench-Backlit-Display/dp/B005LDOYH6/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1505677243&sr=1-1&keywords=u.s.+balance

Weighs up to 2000 grams in .1 gram increments, nicely backlit, fairly compact and the auto-off feature can be disabled.

u/demonlordghirahim · 1 pointr/parrots

that seems like a good idea. Something like this?

u/elislider · 1 pointr/Flipping

I have this one that works great and only costs $26. Also comes in black for $24

u/aswecollide · 1 pointr/Flipping

I really like this one: Accuteck ShipPro W-8580 110lbs x 0.1 oz Gold Digital shipping postal scale, Limited E... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016LKCQDG/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apip_4lHgbdxlo253P
I like having the screen separate for weighing oversized items and it's been accurate for me.

u/hufferstl · 1 pointr/eBaySellerAdvice

Try something like this. It is essential unless you are selling a lot of really big stuff.

u/prickly007 · 1 pointr/Coffee

Works for drip and, depending on the size of mug used, espresso... https://www.amazon.com/Weigh-MS-600-Digital-Pocket-Scale/dp/B004O792H2/ Not bad for less than $10.

u/MrKane123 · 1 pointr/Flipping

I honestly think the heaviest I have ever had to do was roughly 30lbs or so and didn't have any issues with it. The top of the scale is a plastic cover that can come off, but doesn't fall off easily if you know what I mean. It opens up to hold envelopes (I guess) and packages but I've honestly never used it with the flaps open I always just throw the box on the scale. I know they do make one that is a little more heavy duty that can hold more weight as well. Just from personal experience I trust Accuteck scales.

u/0311 · 1 pointr/Flipping

Niche.

If you don't want to worry about packing/weighing/boxes, then you're probably stuck to clothes/dvds/books. Honestly, though, dealing with all that stuff isn't that big of a deal and you'll get the hang of it quickly if you suck it up.

I get all my boxes and packing materials from dumpsters, so I don't pay for that (lately I get most of my inventory from dumpsters, too). If I don't have a box the correct size I'll make them myself out of recycled cardboard. I bought a cheap shipping scale and scored a label printer (you'd have to look around; I managed to get a Zebra LP2844 for $60).

Package your items before you list or as you're listing so you know how much to charge for shipping or how much to list for to cover shipping if you're offering it free.

u/5bi5 · 1 pointr/Flipping

I use [https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Shipping-Mailing-Postal-Batteries/dp/B0076BXEVI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1484789339&sr=8-7&keywords=weighmax+scale](this $16 one). It's really accurate--I've checked it against the post office scales a few times. I'm on my second one--the first one broke after 5 years of kitchen, soap-making, and flipping use.

I am looking for a good-but-cheap jewelry scale tho if anyone has any suggestions.
