Awesome dude! I wish I still had the option for kickstart on my DR650. One quick thing though, pick yourself up a set of these, you'll thank me a few thousand miles down the trail!

Also case savers would be the first thing I'd do. They're cheaper than replacing the magnesium cases on the bike and can prevent you from a hole leaking all of the oil out of your engine

I would start with case guards. They are definitely useful in the event you drop it (they keep the shift lever and brake levers from poking through the side of the motor)

They also make kits of lots of little anodized fittings and things like axle adjusters, etc. That's pretty much just cosmetic though.

From there, you could add brake lever, clutch lever, brake pedal, etc. There are also so spoke skins as an option for your wheels.

I went with crash cage vs sliders. Sliders or cage won’t make a difference at high speeds tumble. However for parking lot and slower speeds the cages work way better. Sliders work perfectly if the bike stays on its side vs tumble. Same as cage.

I dented and banged the crap out of mine on this ride. Seems like I kept finding the perfect rhythms in the Boulder fields to bottom out my suspension on top of a rock. I even bent some of the mounting brackets on the bike. Sheesh!

Yup, Case savers are super cheap too, like $20. They are also super easy to install, I believe the ones I linked literally just stick on.

If you are on a stupid budget you can also trim and smooth the brake and shift levers so they're not so pointy where they hit the case. Might actually not be a bad idea to do this anyway, even with case savers.

This "mod" is 100% essential on the drz, OP, you WILL break your case, I've seen many DRZ's do it before and it will leave you stranded. Don't be stupid, address it now, it's the one and only essential mod for a drz.

The other stuff is just fun, like pumper carb, etc

Wow! Thanks for this! As mentioned elsewhere, the prices are already good, but the discount makes things even better. I will certainly be ordering some parts through you very soon.

I wonder if you can do me a favor, actually? I put Canyon Cages on my 2013 FJR13ADG and I want to mount highway pegs onto them. But I want to use the stock pegs so they look the same. So right now I have these clamp-style mounts: http://www.amazon.com/RIVCO-PRODUCTS-CLAMP-MOUNTING-CLMP1BK/dp/B004LFOXOY/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0EF7192SP11KER00SZNT

Then I plan to order the rider pegs from you. Only I still need the clevice-type mount that the pegs mount to and seat against. Basically I just need the inner mount portion of these: http://www.amazon.com/Rivco-Products-Anti-Vibration-Highway-Pegs/dp/B005U80V6K/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=01QEB4FZAY4H2TPRVFBA

Anyway, my question to you is, is there anything you can do to find dimensions or something for the highway pegs? I'm talking about these: http://www.riders-choice.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=4821499&category=Motorcycles&make=YAMAHA&year=2013&fveh=206247 Specifically the dimensions from the inner face of the peg that rests against the mount to the center of the bolt hole on either tongue.

I want to take those dimensions, and then call Rivco and see if the dimensions will fit on the little pieces they have in the above-listed product, and see if they'll just sell me those little pieces.

I would be most grateful if there's anything you can do, if not no big deal because you rock already.

I have an '11 Bonneville. I have decided that I need to get better at slow speed maneuvering, u-turns and such. Watching the MotoJitsu YouTube channel, he recommended crash bars, because "you will drop the bike practicing". I feel that this fear has held me back from practicing much. So, I'm looking at the pictured bars. Will they look stupid? I really like the clean retro look of my bike, and I'm torn. Thoughts?
