This is very different from high end handbags, but someone here recommended the [Renee Tote] (http://www.amazon.com/Pack-Fitness-Expert-Renee-Management/dp/B00KMP5LNE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452383902&sr=8-1&keywords=renee+meal+management) to me, and I LOVE it. There's room inside for a laptop, wallet, a few other things, extra pockets for keys/hairbrush/etc, and cell phone pockets on each side. But the real joy of this bag is [right here] (http://g03.s.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1O71rHXXXXXafXpXXq6xXFXXXT/221754054/HTB1O71rHXXXXXafXpXXq6xXFXXXT.jpg).

The main site carries their current colors, but you can find past colors on Amazon (and current like I linked here) - I have the bright orange in the second link, which isn't for everyone, but I love!

I was in the market for a new purse and splurged on this tote. I love it. It's nice looking, has plenty of pockets for purse things, has an insulated cooler complete with food storage and ice packs, fits a laptop, fits my 20oz water bottle in the side pocket, and juuuuust fits under the seat on an airplane. Would recommend :)

Pack your food ahead of time!

Look up bento lunches. (Not the fancy ones, just the tasty ones. http://justbento.com and http://lunchinabox.net/ are good inspiration.)

You don't need a fancy lunch box, either, you just need something that will hold enough food. This is smaller than you think. I suggest getting something like this, which will never leak and will go through the dishwasher with no problem.

Get a small cooler or insulated lunch bag to put your tupperware or bento box in. I have this one, and it works well.

Put a ziploc of almonds and dried cranberries (or something else that doesn't spoil) somewhere where you can get it easily.

If possible, put an 'emergency lunch' such as ramen or instant oatmeal somewhere you can get it on a day you forget to pack. It might not be as healthy as a packed lunch, but it will be a controlled amount of calories and it will cut down on last-second decisions made while hungry, which usually end in disaster.

This is probably the cutest thing I've heard all week.

So is she okay with link being on there at all? If so heres a decent option, its botw zelda: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07THV6RWJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UssoDb2NJMG4F

If you have a bit of spare cash, buy an insulated lunch box and a gel ice pack. That will allow your lunch meats and other perishables to stay nice for hours.

For example, you can get this insulated lunch box for $11

http://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Lunch-Blox-medium-durable/dp/B0078K40OC

For the salad, stash the various ingredients separately (in zip locks) and then combine just before you eat it.

That one looks pretty solid and 10 bucks is a good price. I got this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IDNCYSW/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it’s really good for big orders, a little more expensive though...

u/Katicabogar · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/PackIt-Freezable-Lunch-Bag-Polka/dp/B004SZNJME?th=1&psc=1

It really does keeps your lunch cold for hours (there are cold packs sewn into the lining of the bag). You freeze it the night before and then just grab and go!
They have lots of cute designs, too.

Here's and old metafilter post that asks a similar question. A lot of the embedded links are 404'd now, but there are some decent resources.

The Laptop Lunches look practical if not a bit too colorful. I'm a sucker for Stainless Steel anything. This looks a little bit more like a gun case than a lunchbox. For some reason The Man's Lunchbox seems like one I'd go for: it's understated, and appears to have a slim profile, besides there is never anything unprofessional about plain black.

Wow, I've learned a lot about lunchboxes in the past 15 minutes. I may have to ditch my loose tupperware and take the plunge.

Here’s a few options I’ve had good luck with.
I personally eat mostly paleo, and rarely go out, so everything is cooked from scratch, every week.
Weck Jars: great glass (and rubber) jars for storing just about anything. I like these for storing portions, and sauces/dips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M71UCKA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jjoqDbJZ6FR26

Larger glass containers, I use these for larger portions of just about everything. Air tight, reusable, etc. I personally use the ikea brand, but same concept: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LN810PM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pmoqDbMMM817D

Stasher brand bags, made of silicon, heat/freeze proof, reusable, etc. make for a great plastic bag replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RC84B75/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7ooqDbGS9GWQ2

Another option is always mason jars. They’ve been around for ever! Are relatively inexpensive, reusable, dishwasher safe, freezer safe, etc. Can also be vacuum sealed! I use these to store most of my raw ingredients, flours, nuts, powders, etc. I would recommend sticking with either wide-mouth or regular, but not both. Combining the two, gets old, when you have a few dozen!

Hope some of this stuff helps!

If you grab something like this and put some of these in them, you can take whatever you like in with you. I'd just recommend picking up several of them per person in case you forget to pop them back into the freezer for a couple of days.

I have seen these things on Amazon called lunchskins you can try those.

Lunchskins Reusable 2 Piece Food Storage Bag Set, 1 Sandwich Bag + 1 Snack Bag, Navy Sea Turtle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TD9PVBX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_.UGYDbJ7E5TN4

u/surf_wax · 2 pointsr/MealPrepSunday

Yeah, that's a good point, plastic wrap in particular would be fiddly AF. I only did four burritos, so I was able to wait for them to cool and then cram them in sandwich bags. I'm thinking these might work, too -- they're zero-waste and pretty big.

I will keep an eye out for the breakfast burritos!

u/Central_Incisor · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

What exactly are you storing, there may be other options depending on the object, otherwise the vacuum jars might be the best option.

I haven't tried them, but BlueAvocado Seems to be trying to make bags as you describe. I don't know how durable they are and the cost benefit in both price and environment seems hard to determine.

u/coldtofurky · 2 pointsr/philadelphia

You should try these instead of using ziplock bags. They're really easy to use and you save money in the long run from not having to buy any ziploc bags.

u/wolfheart1125 · 2 pointsr/breastfeeding

I found a lunch bag that seems to be working pretty well for my Spectra. It's not a perfect fit, but close enough. The top and bottom separate, so the compartment I use for milk can go in the fridge while the pump itself can stay in it's part but doesn't have to go in too.

u/Breadlifts · 2 pointsr/Fitness

I carry them around in something like this with no issue: http://www.amazon.com/Insulated-Lunch-Cooler-Bag-Black/dp/B000IBH0BS

They're incredibly sturdy. I've dropped one from chest height onto tile floor with no damage. My dog was able to chew up one of the lids, though.

As for dividers, it's hard to imagine an effective one that's not plastic or metal. Don't have any good suggestions here.

Cheap insulated bag from Amazon and keep it out of sunlight?

This is a cheap (big) one.

u/pancakes_15 · 1 pointr/ems

I have an Isolator Fitness cooler, Amazon has them on sale pretty frequently. A little more pricey but they are durable, last at least 12 hours and as a bonus they come with reusable containers.

My wife bought me one of [these] (https://www.amazon.com/Caddyswag-Par-Golf-Bag-Cooler/dp/B008PU39Q4) and it serves its purpose well.

u/RhinoCK301 · 1 pointr/CleanEating

Any sort of Glad containers really. Blender bottles are a life saver for me; fill with water while at work or throw in some protein powder if needed.

I use this to store my lunch:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0078K40OC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If you don't have a refrigerator at work, get some ice packs; Amazon also has these as well as glad containers. I don't know if this is what you are looking for but hope this helps.

u/hcsteve · 1 pointr/SomebodyMakeThis

No problem. There's this too that has multiple containers that fit in a bag. I haven't seen anything like you mentioned with multiple compartments.

u/IpreferFiction2 · 1 pointr/ketochow

Unfortunately, the one I use doesn't seem to be on Amazon anymore but it's similar to this. Mine holds three blender bottles with slim ice packs along the sides. It's good enough to keep in my air conditioned office, but there's not enough space for sufficient ice if you need to leave the bag in the car in summer.

u/UpTheDownEscalator · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Koko Fresh Pocket. I've never used it but it was the first thing that came up on Amazon.

u/BPiddy · 1 pointr/MealPrepSunday

I have this lunch box and I have the same containers. The lunch box is a little big, but I can keep them horizontal and never worry about leaks.

u/e36 · 1 pointr/AskReddit

I bought a cheap canvas bag earlier this year.

u/chadnik · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I use this modular steel lunchbox and a canvas sack for whatever doesn't fit in there.
