  • Exterior solar lights (there are many equivalents on Amazon with different shapes and options)
  • Multimeter for testing connections before hooking them up, finding actual volts and polarity, etc.
  • A bug net for my awning. Haven't tried it yet.
  • Head lamps for looking around outside at night, or for keeping visible light very low
  • A splatter guard. Bob uses this on his stove to heat his van; a stove can be set lower than a Buddy Heater, but you have to take extra precautions.
  • A propane torch for starting campfires

I would get a dash cam for starters. I personally like to keep my interior clean, aside from audio upgrade in the future, I only have all weather floor mats, collapsible cargo storage & cargo net for the trunk. However, I'm planning to do a lot on the exterior since I plan to do a lot of camping & off roading.

It is the ARB 2500x2500. We used the ARB brackets (not included with the awning) to mount on to our 80/20 rails as seen here.

Alright y'all, last night I looked and looked for a reasonable camping 'rug' that we could put outside our electric avenue tent to keep dirt out and have a nice place to hang outside the tent. This was the best thing I found https://www.amazon.com/Camco-Durable-Reversible-Resistant-Prevents/dp/B000BUTD9I?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_2 but it's pretty large and seems a bit overkill. I like that it let's dirt sift through it though. Does anyone know of something that would serve the same purpose but maybe a bit smaller, still durable, and bonus points for a cool design?

Also im pretty uncertain about getting a canopy in case our tent is in the fire lane again. Any advice on how I could support a tarp for shade in front of those tents?

Shades or drapes? There is different hardware for both. If it's a shade, there should be holes on the ends of the bottom slat. You would attach these to the door https://www.amazon.com/Delta-Blinds-Supply-Mini-Blind-Brackets/dp/B00L1GM91A/ref=asc_df_B00L1GM91A/

https://www.amazon.com/10-QTY-integrated-Blinds-Cellular/dp/B00MBSR7QO/ref=pd_sbs_201_6/140-9814604-6733844

If it's sheer drapes, you would normally put another rod at the bottom and there are drapery panels made specifically for doors that have pockets for the rods at the top and bottom like this https://www.amazon.com/Aquazolax-Window-Curtain-Elegant-Tieback/dp/B074H3RDN5/ref=sr_1_17_sspa

Now if you don't have those for the drapes or don't want to add more holes, you can add some velcro to the drape and the door or sew magnets in the drape pockets and then glue a small metal plate to the door.

It was on there when I bought. Found this on Amazon though. Ultra-Fab Products 48-979010 Chrome Universal Access Door https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004RCSYEG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_MDiTDb30D8NTW

You could attach an awning to your roof rack. There are different sizes and styles available.

Same thing happened to us years ago. About 30 minutes into the first trip and our dog went right through the screen.

We fixed the screen with a screen spline tool and then put a protective grate over it like this one https://www.amazon.com/Camco-43991-Aluminum-Screen-Deluxe/dp/B000EDUUH6/.

That way we did not lose airflow as we like to have the fresh air whenever possible.

I have a Tuff Stuff RTT and this ARB awning

My plan is to take both vehicles out when I go camping. I can leave my truck behind and have it act as a "home base" and then derp around/drive to hikes with my Xterra.

u/KaliMau · 1 pointr/LandRover

What's that? I've only had my rover for about a week, so I'm still new on all the options.

This is kind of the awning I was looking at for an awning. https://amzn.com/B00MI3V7YA

Any suggestion is appreciated!

Honestly, if I can't get a stake in the ground, I just don't stake it. Usually, I can get some stakes into the ground...and from there, you can get clever with rope and tie multiple points to the stakes points you have.

Alternatively, you could use threaded stakes: 1; 2; 3
