I'm in Bagram right now trying to follow a somewhat paleo diet. I dont know where you're stationed but here are some of the things I like.

Breakfast - Whole eggs. Don't get the premixed shit because it has some kind of filler in it. Occasionally we get some high quality eggs here that are bright orange and taste great. Bacon is pretty much the only other choice. It's the shittiest quality bacon ever, but beggars can't be choosers.

All other chows - The hamburgers have soy filler. Every sauce that comes on meat has gluten. Get whatever is not breaded and scrape the sauce/gravy off. Get some salad with every meal. Get some hot vegetables.

Ordering shit - All that premade paleo shit is stupid expensive and not worth it. You are going to want a small stash of food for those IBA required days that you won't want to go to chow. I buy these sardines from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Wild-Planet-Sardines-Virgin-4-375-Ounce/dp/B004VDH4KQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348414298&sr=8-1&keywords=wild+sardines They are expensive but they are good. The other option is nuts.com. They have all kinds of delicious options like raw walnuts and unsweetened coconut chips. They also offer freeze dried vegetables that are expensive but hey, its shelf stable vegetables.

If you have your husband ship stuff, be mindful that the box WILL get fucked up and it WILL be exposed to long bouts of 100+ degree heat even in winter.

My husband has kidney disease and his doc limited him to less than 2,300 mg per day. I keep him below that and his kidneys have stopped declining.

Here are some things that I keep around that might help you with your uncle.

Here are some things we use a lot that might help.

Canned Cod Liver, like this one:

Omega 3 and liver all in one can!

Or subscribe to something else that's really cheap, like a $2 tin of sardines.

never considered that sandwich disgusting... try Kipper Snacks (you don't have to buy them on amazon, they're sold everywhere) you may enjoy the salty goodness as much as I do.

I was expecting it to be at least a little off-putting in some way, like a flavor, texture, or visual appearance that would be more of an acquired taste. I'm not the most adventurous eater, though I've definitely had various types of liver pate, and I found it very appetizing and ended up finishing my first can in one sitting (although with some oil left in the bottom). This is the particular kind I tried: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002147OIO

> Anti-oxidants are good at preventing harm, oxidation is what's harmful for your body.

No, that's not clear at all. I provided the link for a reason. Anti-oxidants have links with higher mortalities, cancer, and destroy the benefits of exercise.

> Sardines are super cheap most of the time (less than $1 a day for a can), they're also really good for you. You're not going to get 8g of fish oil and 22g of protein for much cheaper anywhere else.

OK, I admit I don't pay too much attention to sardine prices. I thought they were more like $3 a can. (Looking on Amazon, prices seem to be more like $2 a can.)

> I'm also not a huge fan of nubrain, I like smart powders for most of my stuff. The rest I get my uncle to buy from China super cheap of Alibaba because he deals in import/export.

Neither Alibaba nor Smart Powders do modafinil, though. I like SP too - for what they carry. (I like the idea of bulk buying on Alibaba, but really - what am I going to do with 30kg of piracetam?)

Amazon also has 6 for $15.88 (without subscribing) which isn't all that much more than $2.50 each, and if you have Amazon Prime the shipping is free.
