I have the same problem with steak sauces. A1 and Heinz 57 both pale in comparison to the almighty Hp Sauce. That shit is pure deliciousness.

EDIT: I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but thank God for amazon.com

> I should have known considering Sriracha is EVERY Vietnamese restaurant I've been in.

True but I have one of these in my bag just in case

I would highly recommend this zombie cajun sauce sampler. I got it for this past Christmas and really loved all four sauces. The garlic is my favorite, but they're all really tasty!

Add this for the lulz

I'm more of an on-the-go type of guy so I need mine where ever I am: https://www.amazon.com/Sriracha-Keychain-Combo-Ounce-Included/dp/B00X0233OU

I understand the red pepper flakes are free, but there are other options. I love how the Sriracha is "TSA Friendly".

This is the mouse I use for my pc gaming and I love it. My bf loves these sets and always ends up needing them. My bf is also a big hot sauce lover and something like this would be perfect.

Hello world

The sauces are pretty easy to find, any Asian grocery will have them or any grocery store with a decent Asian section.

Alternatively:

Hoisin sauce

Sweet chili sauce

Sriracha sauce

Thai peanut sauce For some reason Amazon only has this in a 12 pack. I'm actually OK with that. ;^)

HP sauce can be had here in Phoenix, no problem. Cost Plus World Market has it at all their locations in the valley. If you don't feel like going out, Amazon has it for same day delivery -- at least to my zip code downtown.

To recreate some of the smoke that you miss, I'd suggest adding a splash of liquid smoke (e.g. http://www.amazon.com/Colgin-Assorted-Liquid-Smoke-Gift/dp/B00H5WG6IG ). And your rib chops look great, thanks for sharing!

You've already got some great suggestions in this thread for the pasta part. If you don't want to make the sauce powder yourself, you could try this. It tastes very similar to Annie's white cheddar.

It's much thicker than Worcestershire sauce, it's more like a tomato ketchup consistency.

And a quick check suggests you can get HP via Amazon in the US: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E5DWZU

Anyone take a guess what the ratios of these seasoning ingredients are. They're listed on the info but I dunno what ratios they're in.

I forgot to ask about price range for your dad's gift.

So after reading everything on here, I came up with this -- since he's q Foodie and likes to grill. FreshJax Smoked Spices Gift Set, (Set of 5) $24.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016L8JDFW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Z4rLDb90NGNH3

I will try to find some more ideas (I love gifting) but I'm still not sure of the price range, heh.
