Found some leaves to go with it from Amazon! Spendy though.

Oh Found the petals on amazon too, and cherry blossoms.

And Mushrooms too. Oh god my poor poor wallet.

These are little ornaments for scrapbooking. According to the product description on Amazon, they’re “randomly numbered”. I think these are supposed to look like antique house address plaques.

Disclaimer: There's really no theme to our nursery, despite the abundance of giraffes and Poohs. I already owned all of these Winnie the Pooh stuffed bears...he's a lifelong love of mine, and I just think giraffes are neat.

TOP FIVE

  1. Crib: Graco Benton 5-in-1 in Pebble Gray. I got a really, really good deal on this through amazon, because the box it came in was damaged and they couldn't guarantee that the crib itself wouldn't have some superficial damage. I wasn't bothered by the prospect, and luckily it turned out I didn't have to be! Crib was in perfect shape and I got it for 50% its normal price.
  2. Mobile: unfortunately, I think this particular style of mobile is sold out, but I got it from Sorrel & Fern on Amazon. Here is a similar style, though it's woodland themed.
  3. Blinds: we had some old pull cord blinds before, which were some of the first things to go. I got these magnetic blinds here. I will say they're a liiittle too big for the size window we have but nothing a little adjusting can't fix. They were super easy to install, too.
  4. Marquee 'J': I love this so much. I don't even know why.
  5. We got a lot of hand me down furniture from friends and family - our changing table, dresser, and the recliner I have set up in my nursing corner. I think my favorite contribution from family is the hand-made giraffe that my Aunt knit for him. I know it took her a lot of time and I adore it.
  6. Bonus stroller: My MIL bought this for us, which I'm really grateful for. We live 2 blocks away from a sizable park and I wanted something that would be easy to handle on the walking trails.
  7. Bonus floating shelves: I had a hell of a time installing these, but that was a fight between me and the drywall than it was the fault of the shelves themselves.

No way that's a real product. It's a vape pen + this. Just DIY, OP, it won't be hard. Even better, make it a craft making date with your GF, she'll get to make her own and you can bedazzle your bong or something haha

Sure thing! Here's the full process:

To prepare the champagne bottles I soaked them in a dish tub with a scoop of oxyclean and room temperature water for about 30-40 minutes. The oxyclean is REALLY helpful in getting the labels to slide off, but be careful not to get it near the top/under the foil. Then I rinsed them under cold water and used the scrubby side of a sponge to get off any remaining adhesive. I let them air dry on my countertop.

To make the labels, I used 3.5'' x 2.125'' weatherproof laser labels. This takes a few steps- first I had to print the dots on to the label in solid black toner, then run them through a laminator with the minc foil transfer sheets (link is to amazon, but I got them at Michael's with a 50% off coupon). Then I had to print the text on to them. I used fonts that I downloaded online.

Then, I just applied the labels to the bottles, tied a paper straw to each, and voila!

For the spread I used some cut outs of things I want to buy that I found in a writing magazine, as well as some stickers I bought from Amazon (it's an ephemera pack by Tim Holtz Idea-ology).

I also do a lot of daily journal writing, as well as making to do lists and charts for habit tracking etc. it's just a fun notebook to throw everything into.

u/featherstones · 3 pointsr/Journaling

Seconded! I would recommend Tim Holtz Idealogy stuff like this - there are other similar sticker packs, but this is the cheapest at just over $3 - these are definitely on my wishlist; I just can't justify spending on myself at the moment!

Toner is the ink used in laser printer. It will not work on regular inkjet! You can use any laser printer, does not have to be anything special (library printers are generally laser printers && black/white printing is cheap) -- what you want to make sure is that the settings for printing is set to TEXT (no grey areas, must be solid black prints) for the foiling to work perfectly.

You will also need foil paper, such as this foil via Amazon!

Hope this help, let me know if you have any questions :)

You can bring a gallon plastic bag and fill it with anything you want food wise. I have done sushi and sandwiches. You can also bring in a 1L water bottle so you can fill it with whatever clear liquid you want to fill it with. The new THC cartridges you can walk right in with as it is just like a vape pen. Below is the cap link to fill your 1L bottle with whatever looks like water.

  1. Acquire access to a laser cutter. My research lab happened to have purchased one of these for some unclear reason. There was some lobbying on my part.
  2. Get some black, clear, and fluorescent green acrylic sheet, and green cardstock
  3. Make some cutting files based on one of these handy high resolution images, and laser cut.
  4. ???
  5. Profit?

Carpe Diem!

Go to /r/cringe if you're able to watch videos at work. Not sure what kind of a job you do, so if that isn't an option, write out some inspirational/kind things, perhaps things that you have needed to hear at certain times in your life, cut them up and spread them around your town when you have the time. Or just leave them in your bag to dispense whenever you feel like it. Or go to the library and hide them in various books. Whilst you're there you could pick up some books to keep you from being bored at work! =]

Would looove these!

Thanks! <3

Here. Or Here.

u/mdillenbeck · 2 pointsr/boardgames

Besides flipping? I'd say corner damage/bending, not too easy to shuffle (compared to standard square cards), cards can be more easily blown by a fan or brushed around by a sleeve. Finally, from a player perspective, there is just the feel of a card versus a tile - there is a reason people say a game has "really nice cardboard" in it (like Bora Bora). Cardstock will come off as a lower-budget game when compared to actual millboard (chipboard) tiles.

Honestly, I'd say do this: buy 1 pack chipboard hexes and then cut the same ones out of 110lb cardstock. Try them out on a small sample size to see how they feel - no need to actually make the game, just go through the gestures and note the different sensations you get from handling the pieces.

For me, making tiles is a strain. I have trouble keeping my cut vertical through the material, which makes it unprofessional looking. Arm fatigue is also an issue if you have a lot to cut out. That is why I have the Rotatrim (it holds the material in place by having a clamping strip that goes over the material, then sliding the blade...

You know what, watch The Gentleman Crafter's youtube video on How to Cut Chipboard to see the two major techniques from above.

Think these tiny bottles

While I might make a larger piece once in a while, much more often the pieces will be 1-1.5”

THANK YOU for pointing out the chemical hazards - I have a 4-month old infant and we live in a small apartment so resin printing may be out of the question for his safety.
