Perhaps The Life of Pi, or this magnificent bastard, or maybe Lamb. Maybe, if you are up for a challenge, you could try either [Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World] and/or Cloud Atlas. Careful with Cloud Atlas, there is another book by the same title. The one you're looking for is written by David Mitchell. If that doesn't work, report back and we'll figure something else out.

> Your spirit seems very well adapted for the life you led.

I think so too. Thank you.

> You appear to be on several levels of woke higher than everyone else. I don't think you appear sad, you'd lived your life with a quiet dignity.

Thank you! :) You're really very kind. Quiet dignity is what I'm aiming for, so I'm ecstatic.

> I'll check out Life of Pi.

Suraj Sharma turns in a great performance in Ang Lee's film, but I strongly recommend reading the book first. There's a big twist that's a gut punch in the book, but a bit confusing in the film. The book also has a lot more explicit discussion of religion.

> Have you seen The Fountain?

Never. Only Aronofsky films I've seen are Requiem For A Dream and Black Swan. I'll definitely make sure to watch The Fountain along with Noah and Pi. Aronofsky's incredible.

> Let me know if you're interested.

Thank you for the invitation, but I'm generally not interested in or particularly good at small talk. I do like to PM the occasional /r/hapas user, though.

[this] (http://www.amazon.com/Life-of-Pi-ebook/dp/B0070Y46UY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=36V58PM2YWEKL&coliid=IDP44K28CM5YE), the only book, my only companion keeps me going when there is almost nothing left. At night I read by the light of a single refillable bic lighter, so as not to attract any attention. I cling to the pages like an old friend. The words on the page reassure me that I am not alone and I will in fact overcome the zombies in this apocalypse. Just as Pi survived on a rowboat with a tiger, I will survive this and my story will be written and told to future generations.

INTO THE MYSTIC by me, GARRY HICKS
What if there were a story that had the magic of E.T., the action of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, the tension of ‘JAWS’, the humor of ‘The Hangover’ plus romance, twists, a man coming of age and a jolting end?
