How much are you off by? if its a small amount, you could sew the button back on, and put on a button extender, similar to this.

https://www.amazon.com/5-Pack-Button-Pant-Extender-instantly/dp/B005OCRZO8

If you need to add one inch, this would work, and the belt would cover it up. If you are off by 2 or more inches, I don't think think this would be a good plan.

Amazon! Mahaohao 100pcs Mixed Round 2 Hole Wooden Buttons 20mm

Apparently I'm too inept to copy and paste a link from mobile today. Sorry!

I think this is the one I have, but you can just search record button. Little more expensive then I remember.

Upvotes for everyone!

Something good that happened to me recently (and linking to another person and telling something good about them all in one go!). Oh well I went to my friends birthday party last Sunday and thanks to /u/TheGirlFriday I was able to take an OBSCENE amount of gummy worms with me (a 5lb bag!). My friend was like "who told told you to get gummy worms? Or did you just randomly bring them?" I told her about the sub and how I came to be in posession of the bag of worms. She told me she had been really craving gummy worms and hadn't been able to find any other than the sour ones which she doesn't like. She thought maybe her girlfriend had told me about them. But I told her "no I'm just psychic". People nommed down on those things like they were going out of style, a couple got thrown at people. They were a big hit. So thanks to /u/TheGirlFriday I was able to help my friend have a good birthday and calm her gummy worm craving too! She's so sweet. :3

Hey /u/iactforclarinets welcome to the sub, come on in and participate in a contest why don't you! :D

You should get yourself this Awesome bucket of buttons! I saw you had a similar one on your WL. I've bought this bucket 4 times already, once for myself and 3 times for gifts for friends. It's always a big hit. Lots of variety of buttons. It's really great for all kinds of crafts. Get it and CRAFT ALL THE THINGS!!!

Haha I would, but I don't want Fox to sue me. This doorbell only took about 10 minutes to make. I bought this [button] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M5F9EAA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from amazon, and made the Planetary Union symbol using a silhouette cameo. I cut the design on vinyl and stuck it on. The button can record any sound so I just recorded the door chime in a quiet room.

This was a birthday present I made for Tom, it's been a big hit!

Are you in USA? Do
You have a Walmart or hobby lobby/Joann near you? I’m certain they have buttons like that. Either sewology or le buoton brand. I bought these

buttons

For 7$ and that has satisfied my wooden button needs for quite awhile!

Good luck!

Their "slim" cut is absolutely huge man, there's no way someone of your size is going to fit properly in it. Like check their shirt dimensions, the difference between a slim and extra slim is 2.5" in both the chest and waist. The super slim is 4.5" slimmer in the waist comparatively.

I have a vastly different build from you at 5'7" 150 lbs, so much chunkier than you, but I had to get an extra slim fit 15" neck even though my normal neck is 15.5". There are collar extenders you can use so that the neck doesn't choke you out if you do go down a size.

I think you are way better of just adding them to the clothes you already love.. that's the first thing I do when I get a new pair of jeans or shorts..

Any tailor/seamstress can easily sew these wherever you want them.

I keep my ID, credit cards, and large amounts of cash in them.. if for some reason you have to access this during the day go use a restroom or do it where nobody else can see.. not a big deal.

And keep my smartphone and daily spending cash in my regular pockets..

I wear skinny jeans/shorts and it still hides this very well. I also personally think the zippered ones are better than the sellers who offer velcro as they make too much noise..

These are the ones I purchased:

I've sewn bags with this type of closure.

The longer, probably best but probably more than you want to do solution is to rip open one of the seams a little, reach in and undo the little tabs that fold down and take the thing out. They are so less strong than you think they are. Then cut a piece of thin cardboard (cereal box kind) to be about a half an inch larger than your magnet with holes for the tabs. Reassemble the clasp with the cardboard in place inside the fabric and stitch your hole closed.

This is assuming you can get at a seam.

I've seen pre-made zippered pockets you can sew into the inside of clothes. Here's a tutorial for making your own: http://blog.fehrtrade.com/in-progress/795/a-hidden-travel-pocket-tutorial/

Also I just discovered that if you search "secret cash pocket" on Amazon you will find all kinds of inspiration for places to add pockets

How adjustable depends on how much material was built into the thing, but your deadline of same or next day is pretty tight, especially since a tailor might still leave it in a state where it needs pressed afterwards.

You sure you can't just buy some off-the-rack pants at the men's warehouse or get a button extender if it's just 5 lbs ? https://www.amazon.com/Pant-Extender-Value-5-pack-Instantly/dp/B005OCRZO8/

u/pflanzen · 3 pointsr/Oct2019BabyBumps

I just used a button extender for the first time yesterday and it was incredible.

I did the Shug thing with shock cord, difference being that I put my shock cord up closer to the tarp and used some toggles so I could just slip them into the tie-out (I swap tarps around).

I than just Marlin Spike em to a stake, pull em out tight and drive em in the ground.

I'm pretty sure I'll be doing something different in 6 months cause I hammocking appeals to my tinkering nature.

Buttons. Since everyone seems to like them

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I think you should gift /u/Kearnia because they gifted quite a lot yesterday just for the hell of it <3 - this is an under $10 item but anything from her wishlist

u/Grognak16 · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

I need to replace the toggle buttons on my duffel coat and need some help figuring out what to replace them with. The coat is charcoal so I think I want some black buttons with black thread as opposed to the tan/brown they have now.

It was easy to find some buttons online like these: http://www.amazon.com/HOUSWEETY-Toggle-Sewing-Buttons-4x1-1cm/dp/B015OFLXNI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1456947574&sr=8-1&keywords=black+toggle+buttons

I don't know what to use as the thread though. The current thread is like a hemp rope, but it has worn through after two winters so I want something more durable and that is also black. I was thinking of a thread kind of similar to a shoelace, but I have no idea what to look for. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Looks shockingly similar the button I just bought off of amazon.com.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M5F9EAA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

It allows you to prerecord a sound, so it's like Staples' THAT WAS EASY, except now you can have it say, YOU'RE OLD NOW.

u/jesuspants · 2 pointsr/audioengineering

They make easy buttons that you can custom load audio.

Hershey Park

The cheapest hotel nearby.

This is going to definitely be needed if I'm going to Hershey.

Hmmm... hmm... hmm.... /u/Cheesey_Cakes because they really need to get out more. :P

u/Mennenth · 1 pointr/virtualreality

you could probably just use some EVA foam workout puzzle mats. You can get them typically in packs of 4-6 from places like harbor freight or walmart.

Assemble them, then cut to the size/shape you want. They are used quite often in the making of cosplay armor.

From there, just need to diy the button things in the center and edge... like maybe pins/badges? only with a more secure attachment method (wouldnt want the pins to pull through the foam even if you manage to get it on)

... and then a way to keep them from sliding around the floor... non-skid rug pad typically used underneath area rugs?

u/passaloutre · 1 pointr/rawdenim

Amazon. The buttons do look very cool, but they're pretty flimsy and I don't expect them to last. I wouldn't recommend.

Nevertheless: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R6H2H23/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_slF0Db8Z2B99X

u/AndiSLiu · 1 pointr/Fencing

Are any of these clothes fasteners/clasps/snaps (magnetic and non-magnetic) 1, 2/3, suitable/unsuitable to be used instead of velcro, on FIE whites?

u/bettorworse · 1 pointr/lifehacks

These also work for making pants bigger!

You could just get some of the ada button things

I recommend also getting these because the clasps on those ada button things isn't great.

u/noshybabs · 1 pointr/mildlyinteresting

That's not a thread it's like a grip. They are punched in probably by a machine in the factory buy you can buy a tool from Amazon and use a hammer to the same effect

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Button-Buttons-Replacement-Storage-Styles/dp/B06XJ19ZJ1/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=jean+button+replacement+kit&qid=1566493556&s=gateway&sprefix=jean+butt&sr=8-3

u/BigBadJohn13 · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Maybe a collar extender would help reduce the contact without making the neck hole too large?

u/TwentyPercentPlease · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

They make these button extender things that loop onto the button and give like an extra half inch to work with if you try the 14.5 Try these

I’ve used them before and they work pretty well.
