Upvotes for everyone!

Something good that happened to me recently (and linking to another person and telling something good about them all in one go!). Oh well I went to my friends birthday party last Sunday and thanks to /u/TheGirlFriday I was able to take an OBSCENE amount of gummy worms with me (a 5lb bag!). My friend was like "who told told you to get gummy worms? Or did you just randomly bring them?" I told her about the sub and how I came to be in posession of the bag of worms. She told me she had been really craving gummy worms and hadn't been able to find any other than the sour ones which she doesn't like. She thought maybe her girlfriend had told me about them. But I told her "no I'm just psychic". People nommed down on those things like they were going out of style, a couple got thrown at people. They were a big hit. So thanks to /u/TheGirlFriday I was able to help my friend have a good birthday and calm her gummy worm craving too! She's so sweet. :3

Hey /u/iactforclarinets welcome to the sub, come on in and participate in a contest why don't you! :D

You should get yourself this Awesome bucket of buttons! I saw you had a similar one on your WL. I've bought this bucket 4 times already, once for myself and 3 times for gifts for friends. It's always a big hit. Lots of variety of buttons. It's really great for all kinds of crafts. Get it and CRAFT ALL THE THINGS!!!

Wow, that's rough. I'm glad you got some help and made it through.

I'm a big fan of hidden pockets in my travel pants, big enough to hold a passport and emergency cash. The hobo traveler pockets are a pretty good deal, and are easy to sew in. That way, you (almost) always have your passport on your person.

u/kencole54321 · 9 pointsr/aww

The towels ($2), thread ($.10). the sewing machine (depreciation or amortization cost would be something, but she already owns it so $.00), and the snaps ($.08), so that's $2.18 or a $7.82 profit a cone (if she sells them for $10). Let's say after making dozens of these she gets her time down from 30 minutes to say 15 minutes. Now she's making $31/hr profit. That sounds pretty good to me, and Mystitat seems like he was just looking for reasons for this not to be worth it. He wasn't being real man.

And oh ya, go fuck yourself.

There are not great options in that size. And they start getting expensive!

Ewa Michalak is probably the best of the brands. Their FB line is likely to fit Omega-shaped narrow and projected with close-set center full boobs. They also have a nursing bra (woohoo!), But it's not reccommended to invest in those till your boobs have settled.

You are getting into custom order territory for EM. So for sizing, you should probably communicate with them directly.

For lounging, you may have more luck Frankensteining a bra. I'm only a 30FF/G so I have no idea how effective this would be for you. What I do is find a non wired bra that fits on the boobs, then add a support to make the band more appropriate.

My method is to find a bra with a sheathed elastic underneath and replace the elastic with an adjustable insert. I like to use these hooks withthis kind of webbing. You can sew little slots along the webbing to make adjustments (I'm not really sure how to explain that part).

The Frankenstein bras are not really supportive, but they do keep the girls somewhat contained.

u/Kaydince · 6 pointsr/howto

I've sewn bags with this type of closure.

The longer, probably best but probably more than you want to do solution is to rip open one of the seams a little, reach in and undo the little tabs that fold down and take the thing out. They are so less strong than you think they are. Then cut a piece of thin cardboard (cereal box kind) to be about a half an inch larger than your magnet with holes for the tabs. Reassemble the clasp with the cardboard in place inside the fabric and stitch your hole closed.

This is assuming you can get at a seam.

u/P-SpotPlayer · 4 pointsr/SexToys

How about a DIY harness solution? Works great for me!

Here's all you need:

10-12' of 1" webbing - Here's 30' and it's only $7.85 - get creative and use the extra for additional straps. Get it here: https://www.amazon.com/Strapworks-Heavyweight-Polypropylene-Webbing-Strapping/dp/B01KTVG0KI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1536581470&sr=8-3&keywords=webbing&dpID=41Rlrv4YwXL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1&psc=1

And some heavy duty adjustable buckles - here's 10 for $8:

https://smile.amazon.com/10-Adjustable-Release-Plastic-Buckles/dp/B00DCZRLZW/ref=pd_bxgy_468_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00DCZRLZW&pd_rd_r=a024606f-b511-11e8-bcdb-932140fb8169&pd_rd_w=2VDdD&pd_rd_wg=jlO0J&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=6725dbd6-9917-451d-beba-16af7874e407&pf_rd_r=FQT5NVP8YN0D9B15J053&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=FQT5NVP8YN0D9B15J053

I assume you have an o-ring. Cut two pieces whatever length you need (lightly burn the ends with a lighter to stop fraying), double loop them through the o-ring and attach the buckles. Then pick out your favorite coffee table, footstool, pillow, etc. Attach straps first, then slide flared toy through the o-ring and mount up.

If you go this route, let me know how it works out.

There are tons of companies that make this stuff. ExOfficio you mentioned, Royal Robbins, Travelsmith and Magellan also come to mind. Or you could simply sew zippered pockets into regular pants, shirts, and jackets.

I don't know if a traditional man's wallet is the best way to carry your cash/cards, because the bulkiness makes it harder to stash; I find a simple zippered lightweight bag a bit bigger than a credit card is easy to slip into whichever pocket I want.

Consider the difference between easily accessible pockets vs. hidden ones not designed to be accessed en route short of an emergency. The former might be a zippered chest pocket as found on many shirts from Travelsmith, for storage of your daily cash allowance. The latter might be hidden inside a pair of pants or an undergarment, for storage of the bulk of your cash.

Hobo Traveler makes pockets that can be sewn into regular clothing.

Of course most of the above vendors make travel vests; Orvis may also. But you probably don't need a million pockets; consider sewing a pocket into an ordinary vest.

For women who may be reading along, a great option is the Macabi skirt, which has very deep, large pockets, and includes a somewhat hidden zippered pocket. Because of the pockets, the rain resistance, the wind protection, and the snaps that let you hitch the skirt up, this is an excellent choice for travel.

Buttons. Since everyone seems to like them

That's the 1" Alu-max buckle - I've used some different ones but theirs has a great finish and holds up the best. here they are on amazon, but I can't remember where I bought mine

I use velcro cable ties.

I prefer this method because I can cut it to the lenght I need and I don't have to re-do it if I need to adjust the straps.

So in the last couple of months I have been pretty blown away by what a reasonable tailor can accomplish. I really wish I had met my tailor earlier in my life!

You may need to shop around for a tailor but eventually you will nail the bulls eye.

Anyway you could have some buffalo fuzz (thats what /u/JavaForever calls it so kudos to him for making me use that phrase everywhere) sewn on the sides.

Then I would just buy double sided 1" velcro tape [link] and stretch across like shown in the pick maybe double/tripled up. Regardless double sided velcro tape is so damn useful.

u/Westley-Roberts · 3 pointsr/oculus

Suggestion: If you have already extended the Velcro straps fully and still have a hard time fitting it to your head, go to your local sewing store and pick up some extra Velcro and extend the strapping. The spring should only be used sparingly to ensure a secure hold, not to extend to fit the circumference.

This is my list.
4x2" Industrial Velcro
Tri-Glide Slide
1.5" Wide One Wrap Velcro

Other people use a D-Ring instead but I prefer the look of the tri-glide slide instead. You need to make sure to use Industrial Velcro for the attachment of the DAS.

Here is what mine looks like

Here's the part of I think you're missing: The product page on the website is somewhat commingled... All vendors selling a product are attached to the same ad, but the customer gets to choose the vendor they want to buy from. Here's an example:

https://www.amazon.com/25-National-Molding-Mojave®-Plastic/dp/B00IDBJH9I

See where it says "Sold by Dahc and Fulfilled by Amazon." Amazon is selecting a vendor (Dahc) for you. But if you look under the Add to Cart button, it says Other Sellers on Amazon. You could click there and buy it from Country Brook Design Inc.

If you use the main Add To Cart button, you WILL get the buckles set to Amazon from Dahc and NOT from Country Brook Design. If you click the smaller add to cart by Country Brook Design, you will get the product they sent to Amazon and not the one from Dahc. You the customer decides who you buy from, but most people ignore that and just click the main Add To Cart button.

It's always important to pay attention to which vendor you're buying from. Check out each vendor's ratings by clicking where it says "New (2) from $10.49". you may see where other customers have had issues with a particular vendor.

I hope this helps clear it up.

What brand is she wearing? Elila or Goddess? Is the 46G recently measured? What are her measurements / what does the size calculator say?

In UK 46G she could get the Elomi Beatrice in 44GG and use an extender. Goddess Keira Nursing bra comes in US 46i, ditto the Elila 1613 Cotton Nursing Softcup.

If neither of them work, the Elila 1515 Jacquard Front-Closure bra would be worth looking into. The 1515 is not a nursing bra, wrangling your tits back into it while holding a baby at the same time is pretty much impossible, but it goes up M cup and a 50 band and thus is designed to support very large breasts.

For something pretty / more fun, Molke would be an option, but I don't know how well they scale on large cup / large bandsizes. https://www.molke.co.uk/pages/size-advice

I second the recommendation to convert regular bras into nursing bras. It is relatively easy to do. A bra that would probably work well for this would be the Elila 2311 because it has stretch lace in the cup. This bra comes with matching panties up to 5XL. She only has to get clips that are more durable than normal nursing bra clasps. I would recommend quick release buckles that are used in outdoor gear similar to this.

The simplest and most effective comfort mod is a counterweight. Find something about 9 to 15 ounces or so. Velcro it with one of those velcro strap loop things to the bottom of the rear headstrap. Now you can loosen up some of the side straps so it’s not crushing your face.

I use a piece of round steel rod. A lot of others use a battery pack. Others have used rolled coins, like a roll of quarters.

I’ve had the crappy halo strap from China, the Deluxe Audio Strap with 3D printed adapters, and the Studioform strap. For me a 10oz steel rod, wrapped in electrical tape and held on with a soft Velcro strap, like this, has been the most comfortable. My daughter prefers the counterweight with the Studioform.

Hope that helps.

I think you should gift /u/Kearnia because they gifted quite a lot yesterday just for the hell of it <3 - this is an under $10 item but anything from her wishlist

I am in the process of painting my office and re-arranging everything and the Tevo hot end is currently in pieces while I mount a petsfang on the end of it... I can take a picture or 3, but it may be a week or so to get to it.

As for looks, I pulled off all the wire loom that was covering the extender to the hot end and instead use this velcro to keep the cables neat... so it is just a bundle of cables with connectors along it.

I couldn't find the exact one I use on Amazon (odd...) but the closest I found was this. I think the one from Snap Source works in basically the same way, but has a different shape.

These are the two products that I purchased to make the end system. 1" triglide slides and 1" tension lock triglide but you might want to look for a heavier duty version of the tension lock triglide as we have broken one mid playtime. Apparently I was moving too much and when my Dom went to tighten the strap (with me pulling against the strap), the adjuster broke. Only happened once so maybe it was just a faulty piece.

u/MoronicChemistry · 1 pointr/battlestations

Velcro everything in bundles and run it behind the desk. Use the large Velcro that comes in rolls and stick the soft side to your desk. Cut a few 1ft pieces and place them perpendicular to the bundle of wires. After the soft side is properly placed along the route (perpendicular) place the hard side but leave the plastic over the sticky part. If you have any question let me know.

Use something like this to extend the zipper tab & you should be fine. And the zippers used in suits are usually pretty durable, plastic designed. At least I've never had one go out before the bum of the suit was turning see-through.

u/gusstuss · 1 pointr/golf

Maybe a bit dumb idea, but get some snaps, they're basically the same.

Don't know where you live but I'm sure they're easy to come by and cheap AF in some handicraft stores also. Fasten to a belt or shirt or glove or whatever :)

Get some [Zipper Pulls] (http://www.amazon.com/Chums-20190-Zipquix-Zip/dp/B0013UZ8C6) and it'll be a lot easier to get those suckers on. Also it always helps to make sure the corners are both unattached - this gives you some slack.

Just did this on my tent. Also fixed an old jacket. Good kit...

If Amazon ever puts the head strap back on sale for $9.99 you should get a couple of them. Why? Because you can remove the mounting plate from the straps without cutting them. This is important because it means you can make a chest strap for about $10-15, depending how fat you are. I haven't done it yet because I just figured this out the other day and am still working out the details.

You can buy 10yds of 1.5" nylon webbing with 30 matching sized buckles for $17 along with a ten pack of 1.5" triglides for $7. Snip and sew, and you've got a chest harness.

The one thing I'm working out is the chesty they sell has two straps attached to the mounting plate that go over your shoulders to a three point to stabilize it from bouncing. Since the head strap's plate only has the one strap slot I was thinking of putting the three point up front. I'm not sure if this will be uncomfortable or not, or get in the way of zippers and the like. Thoughts?

u/deamonskull · 1 pointr/cosplayers

For pants you are going to need navy cargo pants which can be picked up from amazon or your local army surplus store. Your best bet for the shirt would be under armor or similar compression shirt. Unless you're willing to settle for black, the shoulder holster is going to be tricky. This is what I could find on amazon Brown Black. Leg holster Gloves.
A rock climbing harness can be expensive and now look like you want it to, I would suggest leaving it out (you will be more comfortable walking around, trust me) or getting some nylon webbing and making your own. Good luck with your gender bent Leon!

u/drakontas · 1 pointr/homelab

Good start! Though the keystone jack type and cable type should match (Cat5e, Cat6a, and Cat6a all want different jack types -- slightly different spacing for punchdowns depending on cable specs). Here are a few other links to items to consider if you're going the DIY route (all options listed if you want to get really fancy):

u/Ride_Nunc · 1 pointr/cablefail

These and a some of this are useful too

u/monkeyflyer · 1 pointr/cincinnati

I tried a luggage store a long, long time ago, but a google search seems to indicate that shoe repair stores are a good option.

Recently I had a broken zipper on some luggage, so I bought this off of Amazon. It was pretty easy once past figuring how to stitch without a thimble.

u/Central_Incisor · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

First, double check the warantee, some retailers like REI might be more customer friendly about claims than the maker, but it looks like it pretty much will leave you getting a $2 replacement part. Buy 3, if it broke once, it most likely will again.

Second option, Sea to Summet have no-sew for adjustable buckles if the whole body breaks.

Third option, find a shoe maker, ask them about bag options, or find some appropriate buckles and have them replaced that way. This will most likely void what is left of the warantee, but it seems that that covers defects in manufacture, which if not discovered at this point are probably nonexistent in their view. A worthless warantee is not worth worrying about, you own the bag, make it so you can use it.

u/bananabirds · 1 pointr/motorcycles

Same happened to my girlfriend's AGV K4 helmet. I just bought a pack of metal snap buttons for a few bucks (got a pack of 10 at the local fabric store for a dollar) and put it on. No tools needed, though using a fastening tool is a lot easier on the fingers.

u/filthycreature · 1 pointr/BdsmDIY

there are better pictures of what this is here https://www.pinkcherry.com/sports-cuffs-tethers-kit

to make two you would need about 100" of webbing 1" or 3/4 for 50" for each. Sew one end to make a loop. 2 key chain rings (one for each end of the straps)
then a triglides probably with tension locks like this

or buy webbing and this kit. plus snap hooks.

I've bought from this vendor for making something similar. it could be the cats meow if you needed a bunch of these. I preferred cam locks over the triglide. Look at pricing If i remember, buying 4 pcs of something for a dollar or two more you could get 25 pcs. Same went for the webbing if you break it into a cost per yard, and a reel longer to a point would get more expensive.

u/jayjayelix · 1 pointr/GirlGamers

The keys were originally bright white. :) It's an old keyboard now, so the keycaps are showing wear.

The keycaps and keyboard are the Ducky Goat Edition: https://www.duckychannel.com.tw/en/Ducky-Year-Of-The-Goat-Edition

The keycaps that came with the Ducky Goat, IIRC were ABS shine-through keycaps, which will discolor over time/use like normal keycaps. I have a backup set of PBT double-shot shine-through white keycaps from a separate vendor that supposedly will stay white through a longer period of use. (I haven't swapped them yet, but maybe I should... they ARE starting to look a little ivory-ish.)

EDIT: Oh yeah, this might help with cable management. This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/VELCRO-Brand-ONE-WRAP-Double-Sided-Multi-Purpose/dp/B004C232WA?th=1
