Edit: Thanks for the gold! I figured since I looked it up and found it, someone else may like the convenience too.

OP, just a suggestion, but do what I did and get one of these to put behind it and leave that one in the bath, then you can leave the other one free to hang outside the bath and look cooler.

If you're talking about the liner, I highly recommend an antibacterial liner. They practically never grow mold.

They sell them at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I think my memory was bad and it was around $40. It was one very similar to this. The one I bought does not have a wonderful dpi (or whatever the projection equivalent is) and is not bright enough for daytime light, but on the frosted shower curtain with this video at night it works great!

Just about any frosted shower curtain will work, but I’ll see if I can find a link to the specific one I bought. here’s the one I bought that worked so well.

So in our shower the rod is almost to the ceiling. I needed a curtain that was 84" long and 72" wide. I could not find one. I looked and looked and looked. The only ones I could find that size were liners. I got a nicer fabric liner. I know its not clear but its light enough that it lets a fair amount of light through and its fabric so it doesn't feel garbage baggy and you can wash it. Then I just got some cute, long curtain panels from IKEA and hung them on the ends of the rod to add color. I think they were 92" long so I had to hem them a bit.

Odd sized showers suck. I haven't redone our master bath shower because its an odd size and I can't find a shower pan for it. It's going to have to be poured and tiled and that is beyond my ability and time.

Get your daughter a shower curtain that has a slot for tablets/phones/ sheets of paper.

Like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075HG56QH

When she takes organic chemistry she'll need to learn about dozens upon dozens of reactions and rather than having to write them all down on the wall, she can just stick paper/phone/tablet in between the slots to learn them while showering. This is how I got through my O chem.

Realistically you don't even use most of the periodic table as a chemistry major. You learn about trends and such but the things that are actually useful (like atomic mass) are learned through sheer repetition.

Also, get her started on memorizing the amino acids if she's interested in biochemistry :P

Semi related, get one of these shower curtains with an iPhone pocket. That way you can change the song or see who texts who texts you without dripping water on the floor while you’re in the shower.

u/sunshinenfundip · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

If you switch to showers, you can get this😄

u/SuperWoody64 · 1 pointr/pics

I recommend a https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01KABVPWK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511648291&sr=8-1-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=cloth+shower+curtain+liner&psc=1 cloth liner You never have to replace them because they get all gross and crack after a year. Just wash it with bleach when it starts looking dingy.

No idea why that isn't working

u/forgotthesavedlinks · 1 pointr/answers

I bought these weights but they've since changed the listing. I can't find the same ones on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015KB5I82/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2nF1BbME18E5J

This is a similar option though - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0786X1CX3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lqF1Bb4QN4BRQ

The billowing was driving me insane. Every shower I had the damn curtain stuck to me. The weighted magnets I bought, as well as the curved shower rod mentioned elsewhere, solved the issue. Maybe you can find the same weights on a site other than Amazon. I think I paid about 15 bucks for them.

u/Unabomber007 · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

No first hand, but I'd give these a go: https://www.amazon.com/LiBa-Mildew-Resistant-Anti-Bacterial-Curtain/dp/B00LS9UD2M

And if and when they get yucky, a simple trip through the washer sans dryer will return them to 9/10 new condition. So many people throw them away when remove/wash/reinstall takes no time.

u/binary_digit · 1 pointr/lifehacks

Two options.

You can buy a shower curtain with magnets in the hem and/or you can buy what they call a Hotel Shower Rod which is curved outward to give you more space in the shower.

u/fufighter · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

buy heavy gauge shower liners:

www.amazon.com/Mildew-Resistant-Antibacterial-Heavy-Duty-Shower-Curtain/dp/B00DH2H5KG/

If you go to bed bath beyond, just find the one that weighs the most as they have a huge selection and almost all say "heavyweight"... fucking lies.

u/SNEAKY_PNIS · 1 pointr/askscience

Lots of great info here and I had the same problem. Get this shower curtain and it helps drastically with the pull of the shower curtain.

u/AbsolutelyPink · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Along with the over the toilet cabinet, they make shower curtains that have pockets in them https://www.amazon.com/Maytex-Pockets-Shower-Curtain-inches/dp/B003ZHVDAG

There are also racks that go from ceiling to floor in the shower, held with a tension rod. https://www.amazon.com/Zenna-2130NN-Tension-Corner-Nickel/dp/B004EPXKKE/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1488124438&sr=1-2&keywords=shower+rack

Edited to add: Some IKEAs sell a shelf unit that fits under wall mounted sinks and there are narrow cabinets and wheeled units that can fit between the wall and sink. https://www.amazon.com/1208S-Organizer-Solutions-Bathroom-Apartments/dp/B01N5NT8RC/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1488124574&sr=1-1&keywords=bathroom+wheeled+storage

u/Tcutrone33 · 1 pointr/LushCosmetics

You could try getting a shower curtain with pockets like this: MAYTEX Quick Dry Mesh Pockets PEVA Shower Curtain or Liner, Bath/Shower Organizer, Clear, 70 inches x 72 inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZHVDAG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tSSLBbEBEZ2RT. This way you’ll be able to see everything without it taking up too much room.

> Shower curtain rings, so simple, but we have had the things rust through the plating and destroy white curtains. Fuck target.

Had these for years, no issues.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00017UT6W/

> Same with curtains, no rust grommets means jack.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001T4ZAX8/

This has a lot of negative reviews that stand out for some reason, but I've also had this for over 3 years and zero issues.
