My Anon M3s are awesome and virtually fog-proof; bonus: face mask.

There are some very good quality goggles available on Amazon for a very low price. I have the Outdoor Master brand with changeable lenses and they were a great buy. If you decide you enjoy skiing i'd recommend buying some. In the meantime, you can prob get a used pair cheaply on ebay or even new ones on Amazon, such as these:

https://www.amazon.com/OutdoorMaster-OTG-Ski-Goggles-Protection/dp/B0714FPSJY/ref=sxin_3_ac_d_pm?ac_md=2-1-QmV0d2VlbiAkMTAgYW5kICQyNQ%3D%3D-ac_d_pm&keywords=outdoormaster+goggles&pd_rd_i=B0714FPSJY&pd_rd_r=3a9e09ce-1b9c-480a-88a2-ef1ebd3af0bf&pd_rd_w=YinOY&pd_rd_wg=e9JWi&pf_rd_p=24d053a8-30a1-4822-a2ff-4d1ab2b984fc&pf_rd_r=D9GT76PC0TAE98PJDG07&psc=1&qid=1573224732

I think many of the brands in shops are way overpriced and it's all about brand.
here check out these. You can get a nice looking pair for half the price. Also lens swapping and extra lenses are a big plus. Deff get an extra lens.

I'm getting back into snowboarding this season after moving to Utah. I have a board and season pass already, but wanted some advice on goggles.

I wear glasses, I used to wear contacts but they irritate my eyes so that's out of the question. So my question is what OTG goggles do you guys prefer? I've been eyeballing these but I'm hesitant about jumping on them because I'm unsure how useful the fan would be. Would I be better off buying some cheaper goggles and some AntiFog and calling it a day?

edit: decided to just go to my local shop and tried on a few pairs. Went with the Ashbury Bullet after it was recommended by an employee who also boards with glasses.

I'm going into this season super stoked, but I need to replace a lot of my outwear this season since it doesn't fit me anymore (Went from XXL to L), and I'm not sure what to go with in terms of jackets/pants. I see a lot of talk of going with just a high quality Shell instead of an insulated jacket, and just layering accordingly. I was looking on Evo and found some items I liked, but wasn't sure if it'd be the best purchase, and was curious what you guys thought. The jacket I found was an insulated one and really liked the design, but if going the shell route is a better choice, I'd love to be pointed in a better direction.

Pants: https://www.evo.com/outlet/shell-pants/volcom-freakin-snow-chino-18

I'm also trying to replace some $30 spy goggles I bought last season, they just fogged way too hard, and it was impossible to see edges in the snow. I've been looking at Anon brand, but wasn't sure if that's the best route to go:

Anon MIG MFI : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NADFIQK

Anon M3 MFI: https://www.amazon.com/Anon-Burton-Goggle-Black-Silver/dp/B01N486DPS

Is there any major difference between the cylindrical vs spherical? Any recommendations?

And lastly: Helmets? Yay? Nay?

Considered picking up a cheap one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I886EA6

I'm basically replacing all my gear except my gloves and boots this year (Though I tore them up a little bit with the tow-rope last season, so I'm probably going to get some $20-$30 just for that). My board is definitely dated so that'll have to wait until next year, but my outerwear is non-existent at the moment, so that's my priority. Sorry for novel, appreciate any and all advice!

Gotcha. I really don’t mind spending the money on something that is worth it/I will use/will last. Just don’t want to spend more where it isn’t warranted.

I’ve had my eyes on these anons.

Went with these Googles last year haven't gone back. https://www.amazon.com/Zionor-Snowboard-Spherical-Protection-Anti-Slip/dp/B01A42F5QW you can buy different lenses for different light conditions as well

Outgeek Ski Goggles, 2-Pack Skate Glasses with UV 400 Protection Windproof and Dustproof for Snowboard Motorcycle Bicycle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ4ID15/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8KwBCb1TZQFCX

These are literally like 12 $ on Amazon. Since they are goggles and included they will keeps your eyes warm as well, and I think that's more important from just shielding your eyes from the wind.

If you are desperate to replace them, I was in the same position with some A-Frame 1.0s (which Oakley also no longer makes replacement lenses for).

I bought from this manufacturer Zero, and the replacements were high quality. I think they actually hold up better than the original...

Here's the link for the Stockholm, but it says they are unavailable. Maybe drop a line to the retailer?

Looking to buy a couple pairs of goggles, one for day one for night. The following sets are on sale on Amazon so I'd like to take advantage of that but I'm not sure what to look for.

We use ski goggles which can be had readily and cheaply in many areas with used recreational shops.

What you want regardless is a layer of foam or something similar that goes along the edge between the goggles and your face. Something that produces a breathable seal.

What I like about the ski goggles verses motorcycle goggles is they tend to have a large, wide face plate similar to diving goggles. I like having that extra space in my field of vision during whiteouts. I also like this because both of us wear prescription glasses and they fit over the top of the glasses.

Honestly both my SO and I did the daytime and nighttime goggles because that is what everyone says you need. They took up too much room and we NEVER have once needed them so we ditched the different types years ago. IMHO its a waste of money. Just get a solid clear pair and go. Less to carry, less to worry about switching back and forth, and the less you have to worry about out there the better.

Let me know if you need any other help. I am always very glad to answer any and all stupid and not so stupid questions you may have. Feel free to PM me if need be.
