This was mentioned in another barking dog thread.

I bought it a few days ago and have seen almost immediate results with my dbag neighbor's dogs.

u/5p33di3 · 35 pointsr/Columbus

If the complex or the police don't do anything, I highly recommend this:

Link

(Takes a 9 volt battery, not included)

Especially if the dog is loud.

I bought it, and while it can't detect the dog downstairs (smaller dog, quieter bark) it does react to me tapping it lightly to generate the high pitched noise.

I taught the downstairs dog it's not allowed to bark while I'm home anymore in about 2 days, probably half an hour total time spent.

I am here to second your comment.

[This one is $30 and shaped like a birdhouse!](http://www.amazon.com/DOGTEK-BirdHouse-Control-Outdoor-Indoor/dp/B00ESMUWS6/ref=sr_1_sc_3?
ie=UTF8&qid=1407684695&sr=8-3-spell&keywords=bark+ultrasonicoutoor)

I had some neighbors who pulled the exact same thing with their dogs. A friend lent me a similar device, the barking stopped in 2 hours, the neighbors moved two months later. They could not figure out what was wrong with their precious little fluffies! (They threatened me when I used the normal approach- polite talking).

I think that there is an anti dog bark device

Kinda like this fella (fixed link)

While you're working on the separation anxiety, you can address the barking behavior itself with a training tool.

u/MeisterStenz · 5 pointsr/dogs

Here's something you might try. I know this has worked for a friend before. You just put this up in a tree or something pointed towards your neighbors back yard. Just a thought.

u/tipsana · 5 pointsr/relationships

Also, there are [devices] (http://www.amazon.com/DOGTEK-BirdHouse-Control-Outdoor-Indoor/dp/B00ESMUWS6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1427613631&sr=8-2&keywords=ultrasonic+bird+house+bark+stop) that you can put in your yard that will emit the ultrasonic warning if you have problematic neighbors' dogs. They respond to loud noises (like barking, or you yelling "go away!"). Unfortunately, they will also affect your dog, if you have one.

u/couldntchoosesn · 5 pointsr/philadelphia

There are devices that will detect dogs barking and emit a high pitched noise that only dogs can hear and it trains them to stop barking.

Had a serious flea problem one year too, waking up with 20+ on my feet etc.

What worked best was vacuuming EVERY day and then getting a face mask and spraying this in every corner and surface. That did the trick and haven't seen one since

u/frogjizz · 4 pointsr/homeowners

Here you go

u/Rhadamant5186 · 3 pointsr/dogs

They make anti-bark speakers shaped like bird houses and things like that. I can't speak to how humane or effective it is, but it might work for you. I own a 'dog whistle' which is really just a hand held remote that emits the same dog whistle noise, much like the bird house things, it get's the dog's attention for sure, but I don't know if it would get the dog to stop barking.

Example:

u/Rept4r7 · 3 pointsr/SEO

> Dog Ultrasonic silencer

Wait, what? Does this work?

http://www.amazon.com/Silencer-Animal-Repeller-Ultrasonic-Deterrent/dp/B00B2OLHJG

Hmm, 36% say it works, 24% say it doesn't. WTF

u/Frankeh · 3 pointsr/unitedkingdom

A can of that in your home every 6 months.

RIP all spiders (and everything, really). I still come across them, but they're already dead when I find them.

u/nyrb001 · 3 pointsr/whatisthisthing

It's probably an anti barking device. When it hears the dog barking, it emits an ultrasonic noise. Something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Control-Upgraded-Ultrasonic-Deterrents-Silencer/dp/B07R2JSN32

u/scoinv6 · 3 pointsr/Advice

Buy something like this: Butdoor Ultrasonic Bark Control for dogs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015IQZAOQ/ and point it towards the barking dog. Maybe buy 5 before you go to Plan B.

u/brucewinfield · 3 pointsr/CasualUK

Quite honestly, I'd be less bothered about the price/volume than the fact that the flea spray you've bought is unlikely to work at all. The supermarket versions or cheap brands are usually total shit.

The only one I've found to be be properly effective is Virbac's Indorex spray. It's cracking stuff.

/u/mikochu posted the retailer's website below, but I ordered mine via Amazon. For the month of January, you can get 3 for the price of 2.

Good selection of colors and high quality (my experience so far, like 5 days total). They are different from standard NATO straps in that they use another piece of strap as a retainer instead of the metal loops. They are super comfortable and I am fantastically satisfied with my purchase.

u/Phinnegan · 2 pointsr/needadvice

I haven't used this, but have a friend who says it worked for their similar situation (though barking, now howling):

u/Captain_Coward · 2 pointsr/dogs

The other advice here is good and I agree about talking with your neighbors first but if they are unresponsive then I'd like to suggest this.
It keeps my squirrel chasing border collie/lab mix quiet when its early morning. The microphone and speaker seem to be very directional so you could point it toward their yard.

u/Bonezey · 2 pointsr/AskPhotography

Can't see the brand of the filter but doesn't look like any of the common Rollei, Haida, B+W, etc.

The tripod looks like the Cullmann Alpha 2500 I used at the beginning. This costs around 25 Euro in Germany. If you want to have fun with a tripod, invest more money. I soon replaced it with a Rollei C5i which is much more sturdy & durable and has got a good ball head. It costs around 100€ but worth every cent. If you are quite tall and weight if the tripod is not an issue, you may check out the C6i which is a bit higher.

For SD cards you should be perfectly fine with SanDisk Extreme. I got two of these as backup cards in my backpack and shoulder bag and an Extreme Pro as main card.

We used one of those dog bark deterrent bird houses in our back yard for a neighbor dog that wouldn’t stop barking. It helped. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, here’s a good example of one

dog bark deterrent bird house

u/ThagaSa · 2 pointsr/legaladvice

Try one of these maybe? Has been posted on Reddit before and people have said they work: https://www.amazon.com/DOGTEK-Sonic-Control-Outdoor-Indoor/dp/B00ESMUWS6

u/defroach84 · 2 pointsr/Austin

No idea how well these things work, but it may be worth a try....

u/CommentingUser1488 · 2 pointsr/AmItheAsshole

It's one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ESMUWS6

You just kinda set it up and let it do its thing. My neighbors, when they do have their dogs out late, give them a collar that I believe shocks them when they bark. They go around growling which I can still hear to a lesser degree but I find that less of a humane solution than the birdhouse

u/TortillaSunrise · 1 pointr/dogs

I have this. It worked for my dog nearly instantly. He was barking constantly while I was at work (evening job), driving my neighbors in my apartment building crazy. Some of the reviewers hang it on their trees outside or something. Some dogs don't care and keep barking, or they don't put it together that bark = unpleasant noise.

u/jaaroo · 1 pointr/BlackPeopleTwitter

Own this, it works. I use it one/two days a month, and the neighbor’s dog will completely stop barking for at least a few weeks. It has to be pretty close to the dog for both the sensor and speaker to function accurately. https://www.amazon.com/DOGTEK-Sonic-Control-Outdoor-Indoor/dp/B00ESMUWS6

u/zuccah · 1 pointr/aww

After having dealt with a rather rambunctious ~150lb puppy, a pinch collar and very thorough training really worked wonders and I wholeheartedly agree that they are perfectly acceptable when used correctly. I do prefer pinch collars over choke/slip collars, less danger if the dog pulls hard.

Fair enough that definitely happens. I've got a well trained dog that never does that to strangers, but to me she must think she is 20 lbs sometimes. I love it because she is unconditionally loving. I think the main point with both of our points is you should train your dog well so it doesn't freak. I still think little dogs bark much more compared to large dogs in general, but I do have a neighbor dog that is large and barks at the damn wind. They would let it out at 6 AM until 10ish and it would bark non stop. I spoke politely to them and they basically told me to kick rocks. For anyone interested this thing has worked absolute wonders. Dog barks one time and I guess the high frequency annoys it enough to stop it.

u/Savhbelle · 1 pointr/AmItheAsshole

NTA. But as a preemptive measure, you may want to check into getting some of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ESMUWS6

I've heard of these working on VIN a few times. Mixed reviews on amazon though but it's worth a shot I reckon.

This, /u/thogicma. Or look into something like this. When the police won't do anything, and the courts will take their sweet time with your complaint, take matters into your own hands.

Cheap and cheerful, I also have the shrimp ones which do not taste like shrimp at all but if you're into burning fiery hell broth then they're a good choice.

u/WobWobWobbly · 1 pointr/funkopop

For the most part they're unusable unless you know how to solder them together. There are adapters you can buy to connect them as well after you cut them.

u/BigBennP · 0 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

What kind of pinch collar are you using?

Over the years I've owned a number of German Shepherds, the heaviest of them being almost 130lbs. THe dog training club I participate in (which is involved in protection and scent work training for dog as well) gets Herm Sprenger Prong Collars at wholesale prices.

Once I lost a connecting link in one when it was off, but I've never had one break, and I've never felt the need to use a backup chain collar. I typically leave the ordinary quick release snap collar on when the working collar gets put on, but it's not connected to a leash.

u/Event_Horizon12 · -2 pointsr/homeowners

This fucking sub is useless! I wish the nastiest neighbors to everyone that down-voted this poor person. I bet you all live in gated paradises or something. Well fuck you assholes!

OP I feel for you. I have a shitty neighbor and came to this sub for some guidance and support and everyone shit all over me saying I should just deal with it. Well I'd like to see these "Holier-than-thou" types deal with a terrible neighbor. It completely ruins the fun of home ownership.

Anyway, I as far as your problem goes. I think I saw someone on this sub last week that found something on Amazon that completely stopped his neighbor's dog from barking. It makes some kind of high pitched noise and is activated by the barking itself. I'm guessing you could buy a couple of those things and set them up by your fence.

I took a quick look and I think this is what the other poster was describing https://www.amazon.com/MODUS-Adjustable-Ultrasonic-Automatic-Deterrent/dp/B07XP993VF/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1CL7F464EW0VP&keywords=dog+barking+control+devices&qid=1574709418&sprefix=dog+barking+%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-5

Good luck!

u/thedeejus · -2 pointsr/jackrussellterrier

The only thing that works and is humane is a bark box. Basically, anytime she barks it makes an annoying ultrasonic sound only dogs can hear. She will very quickly learn that barking = super annoying sound and stop barking incredibly quickly.

u/translator4squirrels · -7 pointsr/dogs

My dog barks at noises in the apartment while I'm at work causing complaints of course. I bought this that I just turn on while I'm at work. Been doing it for about a year now and haven't had a complaint since. It emits a sound only dogs can hear when there is a loud enough noise (bark) to set it off. You could just turn it on at bed time!
