That's cheap for a gimmick speaker, actually.

They have already delivered at least one product, that seems to work, 3.8/5 stars on Amazon. So it seems likely that they'll deliver this one, and it'll work.

Whether you'll be one of the five-star or the two-star users is hard to predict. It might depend on what your expectations were.

Doesn't seem shitty to me, just a bit overhyped.

u/TopFlightSecurity_ · 16 pointsr/PSP

Buy these, pull that thing off, replace it.

u/large_falcon · 7 pointsr/PSP

I know you've put in a lot of effort on getting your current set up to work. But there's a component cable for the PSP go that was made by sony. That would be a pretty easy solution..

Edit: Amazon link -- https://www.amazon.com/PSPgo-Component-AV-Cable-Sony-PSP/dp/B002LH4UB0

u/Zachlombardi27 · 7 pointsr/3dshacks

I think I can do that for ya, honestly. I also have, for the left joystick, little caps that make grip better if that interests you too. Maybe private message me I suppose, get this goin!

Edit: and no purchasing, they're so silly cheap, I got it n the postage etc..

Edit 2: This is the left joystick cover, could hook you up with one of those. I honestly love it. Long gaming sessions are perfect for this seemingly simple and pointless lil' grip.

Edit 3: And this is the c-stick replacement. Someone else linked it above as well, but yeah, the psp-1,000 joystick or whatever. Works really great.

Edit 4: Since I'm really gettin down on all this N3DS speak, I'd like to share this as well. My goodness, it makes gaming 1,000x better. Since the grips are not directly under the 3DS, and they are almost basically on the sides, it makes it feel like a legit, comfortable ass videogame controller! (In the vein of an Xbox or PS4 controller) With how I said the grips are on the sides, it makes it not feel so damn cramped like some of the other N3DS grips can. It's seriously so, SO worth the $15 bucks.

u/EmoryM · 6 pointsr/vita

PDP PSVita Pull 'N Go Folio is a great case, I have no regrets about buying it.

u/Sexytimeturtle · 5 pointsr/3DS

I've done it to 2 different N3DS XLs. Use Haobase brand caps if you can find them. I've tried Instens and 2 generic brands and they never quite fit properly. The Haobase ones seem to fit the best.

u/Darqon · 5 pointsr/gaming

I recently did this mod, here are the caps you need. OP failed to mention it has to be PSP 1000.

I will say I definitely prefer it, but it's not guaranteed better, it's a personal preference. The stick still doesn't move around like the circle pad, meaning you don't really feel it moving, but I will say it feels better to use.

u/LintFree · 5 pointsr/vita

While this may not answer your question directly, here is a really good case for your Vita (Link for more pictures). You will need to buy a memory card separate though.

u/jzero222 · 5 pointsr/vita

My concern is that the analog sticks would get pushed around in the case itself causing unnecessary wear. I purchased this case from GameStop for just that reason. The case itself has two notches where the analog sticks fit in and it gives space so that they aren't touched when carrying the vita around. I don't really have to worry about that problem with it.

u/DefiantHeart · 5 pointsr/vita

u/tvoretz · 5 pointsr/vita
u/Fatalfrosthawk · 4 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Buy a psp 1000 analog stick cover and replace your C-stick nipple is all I can say. I did it and the system feels entirely different and much easier to use. Here is a link to the ones I bought-https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005IF00ZM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Installing it is literally as easy as using your nail to peel the rubber off the c-stick and then putting this on there instead.

u/truemeliorist · 4 pointsr/vitahacks

I like it! However, there are some tweaks you may want to consider (if you want some unsolicited feedback):

  1. Can you bring something over the shoulders that the top of the vita could slide into? The ergo grip I am using has them and I love it compared to the other ones. It really helps to keep the console steady. I have other grips that just clip around the sides and the vita constantly pops out.
  2. I'd love to see you integrate the buttons somehow. Trigger style buttons always seem to be nicer to me than the bumper style that the vita normally has. But that's totally personal preference.

Otherwise, it looks AWESOME and I really love the stand you've included. Definitely great work! I wish I could find a mashup of your grip and the one I'm currently using because they both have things I want :)
u/TDAM · 4 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I have this for the Vita. I realllllly want a Switch version. Essentially what you have here

u/VILLIAMZATNER · 4 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Would like to tag on to this to say buying a controller grip and if you're using a N3DSXL, replacing the nub with a PSP 1000 series stick will hugely increase the quality of play. My brother owns a N2DSXL and made the same changes. If ripping out the nub makes you uncomfortable, videos on YouTube are easy to find. I do not regret it one bit, the psp stick is a full upgrade from the shitty nub.

In 2016 I bought a N3DSXL to exclusively play Pokemon and to enter the MH franchise. I tried MHGEN first and the barrier of the controls, and Gen's assumption that you're already an experienced Hunter made me quit before I even killed a Great Maccao.

Advice online suggested MH4U was a better entry point to the series, and it 100% was for me. That motivated me to find ways to make the handheld more comfortable for my giant fucking sausage fingers.

To me, MH4U legitimately feels like a full sized game stuffed into a handheld system. I still found myself fully immersed, even with 3ds graphics, which really fly below the radar when you're occupied with the technical mechanics that make this series so addicting.

u/mczanetti · 3 pointsr/PSP

have you tried [this] (http://www.amazon.com/PSP-AV-Cable-Sony/dp/B000VIUNZI) kind of cable?

One thing you should observe is what model is your psp ( 1000, 2000, 3000 or Go), because i think the cable will vary from one to another. If you want to know more about your TV, these red, yellow, and white holes are called 'Component Video'. Read a little on [this] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Component_video) wikipedia article.

I've got 2 for my Go, an official one
, and another cheapie charging one from amazon that I can't even find a link for anymore.

Put a PSP nub in place of the Nintendo one

Video on how to put the nub in

The nub 3x pack I bought

I just did this over the weekend and the game is unbelievably more enjoyable. It’s absolutely a game changer when it comes to the camera. A lot more comfortable and a lot more pressure sensitive, but not to the point of you overshooting the camera swings. You’ll get a feel for it after a minute.

Warning: you’ll have to be comfortable with the idea of taking the nub out permanently. But honestly, once you do, you’ll never look back.

EDIT the vita case inside itself holds 4 games and the rest of the package holds 23!

u/SkyMuffin · 3 pointsr/vita

Hey here it is, it's the pull-n-go folio:

PDP PSVita Pull 'N Go Folio https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0072A4JTY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_qZ6MybSEYXRBF

It has a smaller detachable pouch that fits just the Vita and some games alone. It's already snug for just the vita, but the larger folio does have a section next to the pouch where the grips might fit. http://i.imgur.com/NR2gl9g.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3AnuXKz.jpg http://i.imgur.com/T3We6Hj.jpg

u/JesusMakesMeLaugh · 3 pointsr/vita

I use the PDP PSVita Pull 'N Go Folio and would definitely recommend it. You can throw your charger and 19 games in the main case, or remove the smaller case and store 4 games. Bought it a while ago and I'm still loving it.

depends on the grips you get these are ok i used them for a while

then i got these and they are so much more comfortable and the triggers feel softer and easier to pull

u/tehace · 3 pointsr/gaming

Wow those grips look better than mines! What are they called and where do you get them?. My main problem with the PDP grips is that the triggers aren't easier to press.

u/Saibaka · 3 pointsr/vita

I own these and while they are comfy the L trigger feels squishy. Tried out the Nyko one without the battery pack and it felt to big for my hands.

I am going to jump to the $5 one myself.

u/Opa1979 · 3 pointsr/DestinyTheGame
u/Metroidam11 · 3 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Honestly, I think we'll see a third party manufacturer make exactly what you said: a holder with palm grips and comfortable shoulder buttons.

I tried something like this for the PS Vita and it felt so good. https://www.amazon.com/PDP-PSVita-Trigger-Grips/dp/B0072A4JVW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1488120601&sr=8-4&keywords=ps+vita+grip

u/myhumps3 · 3 pointsr/vita

The screens are the same dimensions so the 2000 screen protectors will work fine.

And I have this trigger grip which works great for extended play sessions.

https://www.amazon.com/PDP-PSVita-Trigger-Grips/dp/B0072A4JVW/ref=sr_1_5?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1482644967&sr=1-5&keywords=grip+vita+1000

u/the_moonface · 3 pointsr/PS4

You can rotate games so I wouldn't worry about a bigger memory card but I highly recommend getting trigger grips as the bumpers are awful. It'd also be nice if Sony created a good L1/L2/R1/R2 solution. Here's the one I use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0072A4JVW?cache=ffe6f2a6f31e0c1ba6336eea7769d2a1&pi=SX200_QL40&qid=1404337399&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

u/thecolemanation · 3 pointsr/vita

I tried this one and hated it:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073ESZ58/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But then I bought this one and it is amazing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072A4JVW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm sure if you search on Amazon you'll find the same one for the same price I got it (around $10).

Look for ones that expand the trigger grips and don't block the charger.

u/Zero_Heart · 3 pointsr/vita

I bought this for $5. I mean it looks fine and all but I don't know how many people have that stuff laying around.

u/GodHatesFarts · 3 pointsr/PSP
  1. There is no downside to using bigger storage. Storage size is indepedent of read/write speeds

  2. Not sure about this, I haven't tried yet

  3. The biggest capacity for the PSP is 32GB

If you are looking for a good microSD with adaptor all included I bough this recently and I am very happy with it.

The original camera had a nice optional stand:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Playstation-Officially-Licensed-Clip-Camera/dp/B00F63QTU6

If you have the old camera, I would highly recommend this..

u/nearlydeadasababy · 3 pointsr/PSVR

You just need something like this...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00F63QTU6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My TV is super thin also and it works fine.

HORI creates the highest quality cases for consoles period. For $15, you get both in one product. However, if you want a different screen protector, then go ahead, since they HORI cheap'd out on it.

u/massmedian · 3 pointsr/vita

I use this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Tomee-Vita-Protective-Carrying-Pouch-playstation/dp/B00LHTR87G/

It's good enough to protect against scratches and small bumps when in my messenger bag.

If you want something a bit more protective, I highly recommend the WaterField Designs VITA case.

https://www.sfbags.com/collections/sony-ps-vita-cases/products/sony-ps-vita-cityslicker-case

It's expensive but I think it's worth the cost. Feels sturdy, holds a few games, and has a rear pocket for accessories like a charging cable.

u/TheNoob91 · 3 pointsr/PSP
u/RageKage78 · 3 pointsr/PSVR

I have no experience with it, but I saw something on Amazon yesterday that claims to work with any console. Looked interesting, so I'd be curious to hear from anyone who has actually used it.

Woojer Vest Pro

u/satertek · 2 pointsr/PSP

You would need to buy a TV component out cable, a USB video capture device for your MacBook (can't help ya there) and probably some video editing software to crop out the black borders.

(Be aware different PSPs have different ports for TV out, the one above only works on 2000)

u/Zefirus · 2 pointsr/gaming

It looks fine. I used to play Dissidia on my 42 inch tv using these all the time.

u/AuhsojSivart · 2 pointsr/FinalFantasy

I played WOTL (the PSP version) on my TV using component cables: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Computer-Entertainment-PSP-2000-Cable-PlayStation/dp/B000VIPJ0W

u/crashingthrough · 2 pointsr/gaming

Actually the one you want is this one: http://www.amazon.com/PSP-Component-AV-Cable-Sony/dp/B000VIPJ0W/ref=pd_bxgy_vg_img_b

The composite cable DOES NOT support gameplay. I found this out the hard way.

u/KusonagiKuroi · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

The PSP 2000 can use usb video output (the usb goes into ps3 and turn on usb output in the psp's settings). That or you can use the cables sold that are designed specifically to plug in your 2-3000 into a monitor/tv. These are the cables http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000VIPJ0W
There may also just be human error, I've used a 2000 with a remotejoy successfully.

u/Klasafyed · 2 pointsr/vita

I know the PSP 1000 had the serial port but I admit I'm not 100% sure if it supported video out. I am however, sure that the PSP slim/3000 supported it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000VIUNZI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1465242940&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=psp+video+out&dpPl=1&dpID=41hYYSiiwfL&ref=plSrch So this just adds to my point. The PSP slim came out in 2007 and supported Video Out.

u/ChingShih · 2 pointsr/PSP

The PS3 controller connects via Bluetooth, so the PSP X000s will not function this way as they lack BT.

The PSP Go has Bluetooth (as does the Xperia Play phone/handheld hybrid) so they both have been shown to be able to connect with the PS3 controller (maybe someone can provide a specific example or tutorial). To get the PSP Go connected to a TV you will need the PSPGo cradle. Keep in mind that one of the reviews says the cradle does not come with the cables to do TV out ... so that will be extra.

Also I've read in /r/Android that you can do PS3 controller over BT + Android phone -> TV, though it may need some software/HDMI cable to do so, depending on your setup (and whether or not your TV has WiFi).

Edit: fixed link

u/jamvanderloeff · 2 pointsr/PSP

With a cable you can get component video out https://www.amazon.com/PSPgo-Component-AV-Cable-Sony-PSP/dp/B002LH4UB0

You can get a converter box to then go to HDMI if that's all your display has.

u/DrewShiGold · 2 pointsr/anime

It actually replaces it! I bought a set of 3 for $4.99 off amazon. and all you have to do it Pry out the old C stick gently, cut the loops holding it in place, then press the cap over the C-stick area, Here's a video I watched before deciding to do it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYN9XWngRds

Link to Caps I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/Analog-Joystick-Stick-Button-PSP-Sony/dp/B005IF00ZM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469378115&sr=8-1&keywords=psp+stick

Unfortunately they're no longer available through Prime. I do have two extras here though if you would like for me to ship you one! :)

Hope this helps! :D

u/Magna_Ge · 2 pointsr/3dshacks

I replaced my C-stick with a PSP C-Stick. It's much better than the 3DS C-stick, imo.

You can buy a PSP C-stick here

And here is a tutorial on how to replace it.

Just a warning, you need to open up your 3DS for this so will need a screwdriver. I highly recommend you use a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Now it might feel a little weird when you use PSP c-stick, but you will get used to it. I use it all the time in Monster Hunter and it works really great.

u/KrazySpike · 2 pointsr/MonsterHunter

This is the one I've been rolling with and it's served me so well. Space for the charger and some 20-ish games as well as 4 memory cards. There's a smaller case within that can be pulled out that serves for when I'm not gonna be gone long but want to game that also holds 4 game cards and the vita.

u/tots_o_tater · 2 pointsr/vita

If you plan on playing games in it, then my suggestion is not the one you're looking for.

I went with the Pull and go Folio--haven't regretted it yet. It's basically separated into two cases; one that can be pulled out for maximum efficiency... Or something like that.

Anyway, it works well for me.

u/meandthestereo · 2 pointsr/vita
u/Lemstar · 2 pointsr/vita

You want a screen protector for the back, at the very least. The front is pretty hardy, but the back needs something, or it's going to pick up scratches when you just set it down.

Personally, I went with a generic-brand crystal case with a generic protector on both the back and front screens. It doesn't look amazing, but it gets the job done without increasing the bulk of the system so much that it won't fit into whatever case you buy.

The Pull N Go Folio is a pretty nice way to transport it. The pull-out case is hard enough to endure getting thrown around in a bag, and you have the option of also packing it into the full folio if you want more room for cartridges/accessories.

u/webdaemon1 · 2 pointsr/vita

I got the BD&A Media Stand in blue:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/BD%26amp%3BA+-+Media+Stand+for+PlayStation+Vita/4759751.p?id=1218523195635&skuId=4759751

And the PDB Pull 'N Go Folio:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0072A4JTY/ref=oh_o06_s00_i00_details

I like both of them, the Vita fits in the folio with the media stand attached, which I wasn't sure about until I got them both.

The folio has slots for many games plus the pouch that holds the Vita has a few slots for games as well and it detachable from the folio for when you don't want to take the whole thing with you.

u/vagrantwade · 2 pointsr/vita

I don't trust the brand. I do have the PDP Pull N' Go Folio and I love everything about it.

u/ZebraMuffin · 2 pointsr/vita

This is what I use. It's no longer available from Amazon it seems, but it's very nice. It holds 23 PS Vita games, 2 memory cards, the PS Vita system, and the charger.

If you don't want to take the full case around, it has a mini-case inside that's removable, and can hold the PS Vita, and 4 games. If you can find it available somewhere, I highly recommend it. I've had it since 2012 and it's still in fine condition.

u/IamSparticles · 2 pointsr/vita

I ordered this and it should be arriving today. It has the most consistently high reviews on Amazon. I'll try to check in later when I actually have my hands on it. What interested me most was the fact that it has a small, detachable case for just the PS and a few game cards, but the larger case will hold even more game cards as well as the charger for longer trips. I'm flying to Colorado next week, so it will get a good test run.

u/Artcankill · 2 pointsr/vita

I bought the PS one. Fits it just fine.

dock

As long as the handles aren't bigger then grips , you should be fine.

u/daigoro06 · 2 pointsr/vita

hey thanks! yes they are super comfy. these are the ones i have

u/Matriss · 2 pointsr/vita

FWIW I play my Vita way more often since I got these. The Vita by itself makes my hands cramp up because of awkward finger placements and the handles help so much.

But also yes, PS+ is pretty rad and even if you decide to get rid of your Vita you'll still get the games for PS3.

u/cilvyenn · 2 pointsr/PS4

I play Battlefield 4 remote play and this has helped me personally. PDP PSVita Trigger Grips by PDP http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0072A4JVW/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_n-GStb1K0242K

u/clee290 · 2 pointsr/vita

There's the Nyko Power Grip which has an external battery to "double" the Vita's battery life.

There is also the PDP Trigger Grip which uses triggers to push your Vita's shoulder buttons.

There are also a variety of plain grips which don't really add any functionality other than the grip.

As for case that can fit a Vita with a grip, I've heard of people using iPad Mini cases, such as this. Also this case on Amazon has been recommended. Here is a picture: click.

u/MzTredecim · 2 pointsr/vita

I have both the Nyko Power Grip and the PDP Trigger Grip and I really like them both. I've found the Nyko is just a little more comfortable for me and I love the extra battery life but having the extended triggers on the PDP grip is useful at times. Either grip is definitely better than no grip. I'm a girl but 6ft and apparently my hands are just too large to play without them.

EDIT: The Nyko Power grip can be picked up in the wild for cheaper than that amazon link. I just put it up for reference. If you don't care about the extra battery life also check out the CTA Grip.

u/DronesWorkHard · 2 pointsr/vita

Wish i would have seen this a week ago
I bought the trigger grips, the nyko power grips and the nyko clones (no power) i think ct or something.

I threw the trigger grips in the trash (only paid $6 for them)

The nyko battery died but its by far the most comfortable. good luck

p.s. the triggers on the pdp suck and are not an improvement over the regular vita triggers imho. I play a lot of destiny. YMMV with other games

u/sweetcuppingcakes · 2 pointsr/vita

I went through this same dilemma recently, and ended up with two different grips.

First I bought the PDP because it seemed to be the most "dual shock" like. It's pretty expensive, so I bought one used off eBay. It came smelling like cigarettes, but after leaving it in a bowl of warm dishsoap for an hour it was good as new. However, the shoulder triggers are terrible. Very spongey and they are prone to getting stuck at times. Plus they make an awful squeaky crunching sound that made it hard to play at night without waking up my SO. A lot of other people had this problem online, so I tried a few different solutions I found. I took out the top screws to make the case looser, which didn't make much of a difference. Later I used some WD-40 on the triggers which made a tiny difference, but not enough.

I decided I was done with the stupid thing and about a week ago I ordered the Dreamgear Comfort Grip off Amazon. It doesn't feel as much like a dual shock, but it is waaaay better than the stupid overpriced PDP in every other aspect. Going from the PDP to the Dreamgear was like taking gloves made of cement off my hands. I recommend the DG 100%.

u/diversionmary · 2 pointsr/vita

So far I bought:

PDP trigger grips

An adapter so I can char be via any USB charger

Sony screen protective film

Kinda ridiculous that they purposely disabled the ability to charge via any USB charger.

u/cjkeats · 2 pointsr/vita

I find it is a little. I got the Trigger Grip and for games where you use the sticks more it's okay, but the grip part isn't as long as I'd like it to be.

u/Rezatron · 2 pointsr/spelunky

You echo my impressions. The slow down is similar (but not as bad) to what happens on my 2009 Macbook Pro. This was fixed on PC by being able to disable full screen effects. Still it's disappointing to see it on Vita and with no options to turn off full screen effects here. One might even argue that ghosting is easier with the slight lag. However the "dead are restless" levels are much worse and the "wet fur" levels have this issue as well.

Regarding point #3, you can buy external attachments for the Vita. This model which I use has PS3/360 style triggers and makes prolonged gaming periods tolerable. Something like this will be even better although it's missing the faux triggers of the first model.

u/Syvandrius · 2 pointsr/vita

I'm glad I could be of help! I love my Vita and I couldn't be happier to help someone else decide if they want one of their own.

FPS have been really hit or miss depending on your play style. For instance the Black ops declassified campaign was really poor. It was basically a bunch of time trials strung together. However I had a really good time with the horde mode the game offers and drop back in to it every now and again when I have a few minutes to spare.

I've been hearing really good things about Killzone mercenary so much so in fact that I'm starting to believe that this game could end up being a heavy system seller.

Here's a gameplay trailer

For the record I also enjoy the single player campaign to these games, they come off as corny action movies. Which is the best thing ever.

Can you elaborate on the rear touchpad? What is it made for? Will it get in the way of me trying to play the games I've purchased?

The rear touch pad adds a significant amount of interaction to many Vita titles. For instance Little big planet Vita allows you to interact with some objects in the environment in different ways. It also functions as the L-2 and R-2 buttons for PS2 titles. Many games don't bother with it's use what so ever however, so it's kind of hit or miss.

The difficulty you'll have with it really depends on the size of your hands, as a giant handed monstrosity I have some issues with it personally. Getting some grips for your Vita well help out quite a bit if you're a fellow monstrosity.

These trigger grips help a bunch

Lastly, I'm guessing that I can DL games from PS+ while I'm on my home wifi. Is that correct, or is there a specific cable that I need to DL games from PS+ directly to the Vita?

You can indeed download games via wifi quite easily with the Vita, while also being able to transfer them to either cloud storage or your PC to save space when not playing them. Additionally the the AC adapter doubles as a USB cord to plug the system into your PC for easy transfers and whatnot. It's good stuff.

I hope this helped! And don't worry about asking questions, we're a pretty helpful community overall! :D

*Edit: So many typos -_-

Here is the grip I have.

u/Darkenedsilence · 2 pointsr/playstation

If I'm at home it has very low latency which is good, even the aiming is somewhat accurate (better then I'd expect). Because my hands are leaner than I'd say yours (according to your disclaimer ) its not too bad, no where near as good as the ds4, also the controls are mapped as l2 and r2 are the left and right of the back touchpad and l3 and r3 are the two bottoms corners so it makes it somewhat easier to handle then say having all the buttons mapped to the back (example being battlefield 4) all in all its great for bed side gaming I'd say, also there are grips like these that make it easier to hold

If you store them in a game case like this then you could probably stick a small sticker near it as a label.

Just a heads up with buying refurbished vitas:

I've purchased three refurbished vitas- one for myself and two as gifts from Amazon.

Vita #1 came with a 32 GB Memory Card + Burnout Paradise inside of it.

Vita #2 came with a 4 GB Memory Card

Vita #3 also came with a 4 GB Memory Card, and it also came with a custom L and R trigger grip, which I highly recommend if you have larger hands. https://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Trigger-Grip-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L9K

If you're patient, you can get the vita sans any memory cards / accessories and see if it comes with anything neat. On every order I told the seller that it came with extra stuff, but they never cared and told me to keep it.

u/killbot0224 · 2 pointsr/PSP

I probably won't go with grips for a while. I game on the go quite a bit, don't do many long sessions on my mobiles, and like having it be small (well... I did buy a 3DS XL though... so "small" is relative)

If I look, what ones do you have/recommend? Most I've looked at look kind of shit.

(On a related note, the trigger grip for Vita2000 from PDP looks comfy. Hopefully I can find one like it for PSP)

u/DrJuanHWatson · 2 pointsr/PS4

I love my vita, I prefer to play most indies on it either natively or through remote play. Also the PSOne library is pretty great especially for old-school RPGs. Of course PS+ is a must.

If you end up buying one look into getting grips for it. My only complaint was that it's awkward holding the console for long periods of time with out any handgrips (I have really big hands). I bought these and it made a world of difference.

But holy cow, it did NOT cost this much when I bought it. I think it was in the $20 range when I bought it. I can't attest for any other cases, but I really like the hard pouch this bundle came with.

You can purchase it by itself here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00F34B6JW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1453765792&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=ps+vita+hori+case&dpPl=1&dpID=51VDNXHbqhL&ref=plSrch

If you have a PSP 2000 or 3000, you can use the official component cables.

You get the added bonus of being able to use the PS3 controller for a more "console like" experience.

Do note that video out preserves the aspect ratio and resolution of the PSP and will cause significant black bars on screen. I deal with it fine, but it turns off quite a few people. This can be stretched if your TV supports it.

Just a heads up to anyone looking to do this; I purchased
these from Amazon and had to shave the hole a bit to have it less wobbly since it does not sit flush. Some reviews stated that it worked well with theirs while some reported that it wobbled a bit.

I researched further and found a few people state that Insten PSP 1000 sticks do indeed work, but it may not be the case with every 3DS; I have purchased a 3 pack of Insten PSP 1000 sticks, but while I wait for them to arrive I make due with the wobble. TBH, even with a small wobble it is still way better than the nub.

u/star_storm · 1 pointr/PSP

The stick itself doesnt seem wobbly only the plastic cover that you actually touch. this part:http://www.amazon.com/Analog-Joystick-Stick-Button-PSP-Sony/dp/B005IF00ZM i can lift the cap up a little bit or have it at an angle. Having it at an angle is what makes it catch. This PSP is as old as a psp 2000 can be. It was my friends before mine.

u/Yarik85 · 1 pointr/3DS

Also keep in mind that you can buy a PSP cap to replace the c-stick :)
I just got one and installed it. Have yet to play any games with it, but at least just scrolling through the main menu is a lot more comfortable with the new cap.

These are the ones that I was recommended as being pretty good:

Looking at [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Insten-Analog-Joystick-Compatible-Sony-PSP/dp/B006STL2UY), it looks like the back is nearly the same. It might work the same, but I'm not sure, as I've never seen it in person, so I don't know the size or anything.

u/stareja · 1 pointr/vita

If you have or plan on having a physical cart collection, I'd recommend the PDP Pull N Go Folio. It can sometimes be hard to find and tends to be a tad pricey when you do, but it's versatile.

For a digital collection, Hori made a wonderful God Eater 2: Rage Burst flip hard case, but it's crazy expensive (a bit cheaper on nippon-yassan).

u/MissJun · 1 pointr/vita

PDP Pull 'N Go Folio because the included PS Vita case itself has slots for the analog sticks to slide in and four slots for games on the front of the pocket. Functionality > aesthetics when it comes to cases imo. It's a shame it's unavailable right now though...

u/Athryl · 1 pointr/vita

I use the Pull 'N Go Folio, mostly just the smaller case. Only take the big one if I am travelling and need the cables or more physical games. I pretty much always keep it in the little case when not in use. Other than that I just have a screen protector on it.

I have heard very good reviews about it. Also, in order to get mine to connect I had to update some of the ports in my router for the PS4. You can find the guide here. I like it for light solo missions, bounty farming, etc. It is excellent for mobile casual play. I prefer to stick to my PS4 and dualshock for major missions (Nightfall, Weekly Heroic, VoG where things get really intense) and PVP.

How big are your hands?

Edit: Eh. I'll just throw the cheapest two grips I know of and have used. These grips are for the 1000 model.

PDP Trigger Grip is the only trigger grip that I know of that works well. Good for big hands and small hands. Medium hands... not so much.

CTA Grip is the best non trigger grip for your money. It does what the Nyko Grip does at a cheaper price and... that's all there is to it. It's a grip. The other alternative to this is the Japanese Assist Grip and the Nyko Vita Grip. Great for any size hands.

u/Spanko321123 · 1 pointr/vita

I have heard that depending on which brand and production run you can get a wide variety on the quality of the Insten type grips.

I have the PDP grip (https://www.amazon.com/PSVita-Trigger-Grips-Sony-PS-Vita/dp/B0072A4JVW) too. It certainly holds the vita secure but over time I grew to like the trigger action less and less. I came to believe that the trigger action felt a tad sloppy and it didn't necessarily recognize each trigger pull. I tried using the Vita with and without the triggers during Killzone and I noticed I just performed better using the Vita's natural shoulder buttons. Still believe it come down to preference.

Possibly the only grip I haven't purchased is the one that adds buttons. I would love to try one of the Hori L2/R2 grips but they are so expensive ($80) I doubt I will ever get one.

I got the PDP grip and totally recommend it. It's very hard to find and I only managed to get one off of eBay.

It adds just enough grip to the Vita to make it easier to hold for long periods of time but it's very thin and weights practically nothing. Very solid build, and fits perfectly (doesn't budge or anything). The grips are ok. Nothing outstanding, but work well and are pretty responsive.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. A pain in the ass to find one outside of the US, but other than that...

Let me preface this by saying I'm not local as I live on the coast of NC so take it as you will.

I actually just got finished wiring my house with CAT5 and setup a server closet with an enterprise router/switch/firewall/AP. Fist and foremost for experience as I'm going for Cisco certs currently. Now I really need a server or two to interface with within the network and looking for options because most of my budget has been blown.

I have a Vita that I was just thinking the other day that I needed to sell as I barley even game on the PC anymore. It's a first gen but the OLED is sooo much better looking than the LCD. I was planning on selling it along with my account so I could transfer over the 25+ PS+ games I've acquired on it. It has a 32GB card and I have a soft padded carrying case for it along with this trigger grip. I also have a $20 PSN card I'll throw in too but you'll probably need to use $10 of it to reactivate the PS+ membership as it's currently expired.

If you're interested, lmk so I can list off all the games I've purchased along with the PS+ ones. Sadly everything is linked to my account as it's all been digitally purchased outside the physical copy of Killzone Mercenary.

So I usually will end my night running strikes or farming for materials laying in bed while shes watching some reality shows or something lol. Totally worth it. 1. Not all PS1 games are on PSN (NA doesn't have spyro, or crash bandicoot).
  2. Not all PSP games are on PSN either (as far as I know).
  3. (Personal opinion) I don't think getting PS+ is worth it if you only have a Vita. If you have a PS3/PS4 to go along with it, heck yes.
  4. I have one of the grips, this, and it honestly isn't too useful. The "L/R" triggers don't hit in the right spot so it takes some effort to push in. So it's not a must.
  5. Persona 4: Golden seems to be a big choice in this sub.
  6. I would recommend getting the 16GB if you're only playing PS1 games. If you download a lot of "this-year" games, then look to get a 32GB or 64GB. Most games now are about 2-4GBish and they stack up quickly. I have a 16GB since I tend to buy more physical copies than digital.

For what it's worth, I have that case. I find it serviceable, but I also find it difficult to get the system out of the case if I strap it in with both elastics. While it's not a hard-shell, it is pretty rigid. I've accidentally dropped mine with the Vita in it a couple times, and my system has suffered no ill effects. Because of this, however, I did end up getting a separate hard case for my games, which fits inside the top section fairly well. When I dropped the case, all the games in the slots bounced out, and the next time I opened it I had to pick up the cards off the floor. After the second time, I bought the hard case.

I picked up these from Gamestop when I bought the Vita: http://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Trigger-Grip-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L9K

It's actually a really nice product so far. It's soft to the touch, but thick and rigid enough to hold the Vita tightly. The triggers aren't as smooth as I'd like (due to just pressing down the existing L/R buttons), but nothing game breaking so far. It's easy to attach and remove. I would recommend it for someone looking for grips.

So my few suggestions:

-Case: Depending on your needs (travel, storage, etc.) you might want to invest in a case to hold your VITA. I have a case like this I use for my day to day. I also have a hard case I use for long distance travelling.

-Grip: Depending on your hands and what you're playing, the VITA can get uncomfortable after extended play. You can order these grips or other longer handle grips.

That's it from me. Maybe others will have other suggestions.

Here is the one I own.

http://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Trigger-Grip-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L9K/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1419650935&sr=8-5&keywords=psvita+grips

Its pretty comfortable but I might start looking for something with a larger grip. Definitely better than not using it

u/uncletacoman · 1 pointr/vita

Does it look like this?

http://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Trigger-Grip-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L9K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1418142434&sr=8-3&keywords=vita+assist+grip

Looks like that would help me tell where my fingers are. I mostly play PS1 classic rpgs and stuff but been thinking about picking up Freedom Wars and a couple other newer games that I think require L2/R2.

I have fat hands not long hands, and I have the PDP trigger grips

http://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Trigger-Grip-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L9K/ref=pd_sim_63_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=41selrRKObL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1NBM1JBT8G0S4BP1XXTS

They work great when I am using the D-pad but, they get uncomfortable when I use the analog sticks. I take the grips off to play games with the sticks.

As for portability, any grip you have is going to make it so your vita cant fit in your pocket. I dunno if you keep your Vita in your bag or somewhere else, but for the sake of argument I think the PDP trigger grips are the smallest of the trigger grips I've seen.

u/fieldstudies · 1 pointr/PS3

it started to make my hands hurt really bad after playing it for hours on end. so I got the grip and admittedly its not the best one and the left side kind of slips after about a couple of weeks of use but its worked as a decent placeholder until I get a nicer one. Here's the one I have They have them at most gamestops too for fairly cheap (for what you're getting)

Thats fucking crazy, this was like $39 Canadian (So like $3.00 US) maybe 2 months ago. I cant find an original Sony charge/data cable for less than $40 on Amazon right now. Bull Shit. Anyway I have one of these OffBrand, like the PDP (https://amzn.com/B00JYE8L9K) I got for like $10 or so off Amazon about a year ago, its decent quality, no scratching.

u/chinakat · 1 pointr/vita

Just curious, what's a TPU case? If it's just a rubber case then this is really good and comes with the best screen protector out there. For $5 more you can get the carrying case bundle on amazon

u/Jack_Hat · 1 pointr/vita

There are clear vita protective cases. i got a white assassins creed vita and didnt want to cover it up. So that's what I got.

http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Elite-Pack-Protective-Starter-PlayStation/dp/B00L6AVNE0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411443763&sr=8-2&keywords=clear+vita+case

this is a good deal here. You get a screen protector *HORI is the best when it comes to them. You get the clear protective case and a carrying case (when traveling, putting your vita in your pocket is an easy way to crack your screen.

If you have one of these things already though, there are plenty of different brands of clear vita cases. You can't go wrong.

u/RickAtCU · 1 pointr/vita

I bought the Hori Starter pack that comes with a case, screen protector and plastic cover thing and I then purchased a skin from ebay. I bought two from that one but there's a lot of different kinds on there for $5 to $10 cheaper than what you'd get from decalgirl and other places.

I really like this set. The case is nice, simple and compact. It comes with a plastic cover to put over your Vita and it has a screen protector. I'd just add a second screen protector to the back touch pad, that thing scratches like hell (just buy a cheap ass screen protector and cut it to the shape of the back touch screen).

The only downside is that there's no pouch for games.

We were talking about protective cases. The one I have on my Vita looks the same as that image that I posted.

Well, out of your choices, I have both and would recommend neither. The pdp trigger grips have a very plastic feel and sound when clicking the triggers. Annoyed me day one, came off day two. The dreamgear comfort grips do not really give justice in pictures as to how large the back humps (bottom of vita in the back) are on that thing. They are massive and very rounded. Your Vita will not lay flat at all once you put it down, it will actually rock back and forth. I have bought all the grips for both the 1000 and slim model vita's. For the 1000 model I recommend this: Aweek® Bracket Handgrip Handle Grip Case for Playstation Vita 1000 PSVita PS Vita - Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MB53DQ0/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_1w8QybWSHQJJ8
For a slim model I gave up on trying to find a good grip as I always just return to a silicone case for it. Recommendation here: HORI Silicone Protector and Screen Filter Set for PlayStation Vita 2000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L6AVPLQ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_hA8Qyb7K16E0C
Good luck in finding the right one for you!

EDIT: Fixed the malformed link.

u/Rizyq · 1 pointr/3DS

Has anyone used this specific listing for PSP analog nubs for the C-stick replacement? I assume it'll be fine but I figure I'll ask just to be sure: HUELE 6 Pack...

Figure I might as well go with the PSP stick over the thinkpad cap since I have an old PSP1000 with no nub, lol.

I have 2 of those and they're great. Price on Amazon isn't the same as it was before though, so I use one of these too now. http://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Game-Case-Vita-Sony-PS/dp/B007AJZ5PY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419310272&sr=8-1&keywords=vita+game+case

I bought a Blue and Black Hori before for 5 and 7 bucks each. Now they're going for 20+.

u/boobers3 · -7 pointsr/MonsterHunter

Get rid of that nub. It's EXTREMELY worth it. You can also customize your bottom screen so you won't need to have that d-pad there. Here's a link to the cap you would need in case you take my advice
