Totally understand! I have a bad habit of adding more books to my ever-growing, insurmountable reading list. Of the two books I'd recommend as easily approachable, one is available as an audiobook (which I'll link below), but both authors have one hour talks on YouTube that are based on the content of their respective books.

Book 1 is Hail, Holy Queen by Dr. Scott Hahn (audiobook linked there). A free one hour talk based on that book can be found here.

Book 2 is Behold Your Mother by Tim Staples. I wasn't able to find an audiobook, but a free one hour talk based on the book can be found here.

Both gentlemen are former Protestant pastors and converts to the Catholic Church, so it's worth it to keep a Bible nearby if you do choose to listen. There will be a ton of Scripture references. :)

Have a great day. Cheers!

I'd like to point out the /r/conlangs subreddit since you would get a better response there, but I'd be happy to throw a couple of recommendations your way.

Try In the Land of Invented Languages by Arika Okrent. I bought this book, but I lost it shortly after I bought it and never bought it again. I believe it's geared towards a general audience.

If you want to know about the ins and outs of making your own language, check out Mark Rosenfelder's Advanced Language Construction Kit. I haven't read that either, but I've been a fan of Mark Rosenfelder's original site, The Language Construction Kit when I was a budding linguist in the late 90s.

EDIT: A really old book that I found really interesting was Mario Pei's 1961 One Language for the World. Read it with a healthy dose of skepticism because of the age of the book and of course, Mario's ideas at the time. But I think it's worth the read for some historical information about conlangs/auxlangs of the time.

|name|Atlas Sound|
|about artist|Atlas Sound is the name of a musical solo project of Bradford Cox, the lead singer of Deerhunter. Cox was born in Athens, Georgia in 1982. In early 2008 he released his first album entitled Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See but Cannot Feel on indie-labels Kranky and 4AD. His second album, Logos, was released in fall 2009 to critical acclaim. In explaining his reasoning for a solo project, Cox has stated, "It's just that I have ideas that I can't make work with a five-piece rock band...there's kind of this palette of sounds that I use that I don't necessarily get to use with Deerhunter". Sorry mama! She sounds overtired to me. When babies are overtired their bodies don't know how to shut down/relax and as a result they actually sleep less (hence the phrase, "sleep begets more sleep.")

Do you think maybe she has silent reflux (it can get worse when they are laying down)?

Or, do you swaddle, do a sound machine, and/or a pacifier?

My son only napped for 45 minute stretches at a time by that age (but, he was sleeping 12 hours a night by then.) I never ever had to do CIO because the Happiest Baby on the Block methods and this lady's techniques worked really well for us (I know the latter may not be for everyone, but it was awesome for us and many of our friends.) By the time a baby is 11lbs and/or 4 months old, they are physically capable of eating enough food during the day to not have to wake to eat in the middle of the night - based on this, in addition to research on their cortisol levels at that age which regulate circadian rhythm, I personally think she is waking out of habit.

In addition to what I've linked to already, maybe check out these books too: Baby Whisperer and Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child

I do not think that there is any shortcut. Yes you can learn how to "fake" jazz but you will not be able to fool too many people.
Get one of TrueFire course eg.:
http://truefire.com/jazz-guitar-lessons/123-jazz/
or
http://truefire.com/jazz-guitar-lessons/jazz-anatomy/

Also DVD by Jimmy Bruno "No Nonsense Jazz Guitar" and DVDs by Emily Remler (a bit more advanced). After that Joe Pass books.

As far as jazz comping... I would recommend books by Jim Ferguson (all the books by him are good but this one addresses comping) and Mike di Liddo:
http://www.amazon.com/All-Blues-Jazz-Guitar-Comping/dp/0786631287
http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Jazz-Guitar-Mike-Diliddo/dp/B00683JKHC

Another great resource is:

You can ask all the questions there - patient and knowledgeable folks.

Here are the two albums on Amazon: 1, 2. They should be on Itunes too. I'm patiently awaiting a 3rd album. So far, the previous two albums were released shortly after the season finale.

It's cheaper on amazon. It's the soundtrack from his workout DVD.

Well I'll be damned. Timmy might be onto something.

Amazon UK has a listing for a new album out June 17 titled "Out of Control". http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01FUJJIGC

For any of you not familiar with his other side project, check out Jonsi & Alex - Riceboy Sleeps

Are you talking about the other rapper's album that Losing Out was featured on? That album would be Black Milk - Tronic.

Here is an Amazon link to The Album. I do remember adding that artwork to The Bar Exam 2 several years ago and being confused at it saying "The Album." As for why that is, I have no idea.

I can totally see this working. When I had my daughter I found The Happiest Baby on the Block DVD and it was great, its a similar technique as far as the slight shaking and arms across goes and he adds an almost whitenoise technique as well. I have been able to achieve the status of baby whisperer amongst my friends and can pretty much almost instantly calm babies for some reason.
