This is the shape of the driver head i used. My dad had several covers laying around, but i wanted a shape that put the abs on full display lol

From there its mostly laying the shirt over the head, sticking it with pins to hold the shape you want and sewing it on. I don't have a sewing machine, nor do i know how to sew, but laying it out and pinning wasn't hard.

I'm pretty sure that M2 3 wood is the greatest wood I've ever hit & definitely best one I've ever owned!

Hope I'm not too late but I found some golf stuff in your price range that your dad may like. This tee set or maybe this one or this ball set. This marker set is nice for when hes playing or maybe these covers, this golf shirt, or this organizer. If you want to spend a little bit more theres always this putting mat for his house. I have the Golf Gods Titties putter head cover. My mindset is 16 still. Velcro and inside is very plush, think fake fur. Great quality. It is larger, better quality, and has more internal padding than my Georgia putter headcover. I have had it almost 1 year with no issues.
