>but it's not the same kinda pattern you'd get from metal walls

https://www.amazon.com/Rigidized-Diamond-Pattern-Textured-Stainless/dp/B00H92YZOO

>So, not only do they appear wooden

I'm not quite sure you are aware how wood looks, as they sure as hell don't have a bunch of diamond esque shapes, you also fail to really compensate for the orange lighting.

Also no, it really isn't cylindrical, it doesn't bend around in any shape or form and is flat, it legit is just a flat cube with a texture on it.

>There is hardly any diamond shape, or even that much of a pattern.

Except there is, most obviously near the bottom where shadows and lighting is more balanced versus the top where light barely hits the cracks.

>The "woods" behind him, stock photo or not, would still mean there are woods behind him. Deliberately using what's associated with vegetation (apparent outlines of pine needles/sticks) for a background can't be a mistake.

Did we already forget the whole miketrap ordeal, or how Ennard's teaser had a lensflare with a visible square around it because it was editted in?

There is no confirmation it even is trees and whatnot, just a bunch of vague shapes, Fuck me for all we know it could be wires even (Seriously, does that not look supremely thin to you?)

If not that, I just discovered 316 stainless mesh

Don't buy 304, apparently it's cheap, but there are many different diameters and if you're sand is big enough it won't go through.

My thoughts though are that you're going to have stuff going through those pipes regardless (detritus, small sand bits etc) so don't use too fine a filter or there won't be much flow

Tank is really cool, I like the background you made

If you need precision and hardness look for roller bearing rollers.
http://www.rbcbearings.com/PinsRollersShafts/index.htm

Dowel pins or locator pins are another choice, less hard but still precise.

Or just steel / stainless rods cut to length

I would be more pro to vaping on something like 316LVM.

>...due to its "extremely high levels of purity and cleanliness"

I think at $3/foot that it had better bring more to the table than lower resistance and "extreme cleanliness". For that price I have a hard time imagining anyone giving up Kanthal. Of course if a coil of that would last for months and stay shiny and new the whole time then sign me up.

u/JONxJITSU · 3 pointsr/electronic_cigarette

So...if I undertand this correctly...you're saying I should buy some Medical 316LVM Stainless Steel wire from amazon? Blink once for yes twice for no.

Edit:speeeling

If you want to bring her back to life you can repair the frame pretty good with a mesh reinforcement and some epoxy on both sides.

You can also use duck tape and super glue.

I actually did not realize they include the mast, if they do that, then its about equal, my apologies - here's my parts list which will yield at least an equal functioning antenna, and probably have some spares left over.

500' of stranded 14 awg bare copper in a pvc jacket, $83

Stainless steel for radial plate and driven element plate $18 - you have to cut it up, see my post about DIY 1/4 wave verts

so-239 $7

Hardware $13

cutting board $13 (to fabricate wire standoffs)

MFJ-1910 33' mast $89

So at the current exchange rate they are dead equal in cost.

Hardware cloth stainless steel mesh – Home Depot, Lowes, True Value, etc. It's a pretty common item sold in hardware stores. You can look online too if you can't find mesh that is small enough. Be sure it's galvanized stainless steel and smaller than 1/4" (but not so small that air has trouble going through something 'solid' – something like 4-5 mm seems sufficient).

Something like this maybe: https://www.amazon.com/Activists-Woven-4-5mm-Coarse-Stainless/dp/B07SXGTP2G/

I'd look in store b/c it tends to be far far cheaper.

u/appleslica · 2 pointsr/trees

The correct mesh has been mentioned in the post linked by Godzilla Sandwich. This is the one to use. But it's out of stock. So use this, it has almost the same specifications as the other one. With that sheet you can at least build 5 Launch Boxes.

Hope I could help you out.

Still can't be sure it's exactly what I ordered, but this is a start in the right direction I found with Google
I'm searching fuckcombustion for info, but I'm sure any fine screen would be perfect.

The varnish might burn off, that may still leave things behind. I'd rather uses something like this which is marketed for engineering/welder rather than a consumer product marketed to arts and crafts people. The arts and crafts market is often full on misrepresentation. I'm an art major, and I've been up and down that road.

Stainless foil .002" thick. By comparison a "heavy duty" aluminum foil would be around .0008".

u/fuszybear · 1 pointr/StonerEngineering

yes! you might wanna look on amazon for some 305 mesh, its only like 9$ for a sheet that is 12 by 12 inches so you have plenty to work with.

its this one http://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel-E2016-06-Diameter-Length/dp/B005H3GFWW/ref=pd_sim_hi_3

Single Battery mods don't get a lot of people through the day.

I would go for THIS mod instead.

Get Stainless Steel instead of Kanthal. You can use it in power mode. You'll get more flavor. Clean your wire just for good measure. Also, Clapton Wire is affordable, and also in Stainless, is really nice since you already have a FastTech order going in.

A Coiler will definitely come in handy if you are new to building.

Make separate orders for items that take longer than next day...that way one order will ship faster then the stuff there is a wait on. Or, just grab a differnt RDA instead of waiting on another Velocity?

I can't remember where it's from, probably the local hardware store.

Isn't this almost the same stuff?

If you're looking for a cheap fix, you could get a blank round metal electrical box cover, cut a 2.5" hole in the center (or whatever the diameter of the draft tower) and paint it with some type of chrome or silver paint. This would cover the large hole.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Mulberry-5-in-Ceiling-Blankup-Canopy-for-4-in-Box-White-40430/100152838

Then you could put a draft tower flange over the wider plate you made. One that is meant to fit the tower, and would cover any unevenness in the hole in the lower plate.

https://www.kegworks.com/2-1-2-flange-cover-for-draft-beer-tower-chrome?keyword=&matchtype=&device=c&adtype=pla&productgroup=402427782886&productid150-15&gclid=CjwKCAjw4NrpBRBsEiwAUcLcDMcSLp0jN2Pra6_eMwB-nyWASSMnBolmOKWeKFND6fs1LT0j9-eNthoCvmIQAvD_BwE

You could also order a stainless steel disc like this to make the lower ring. A little more expensive but might look nicer than the electrical box cover. Especially if you could polish it to a shiny chrome-like finish.

https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel-Plate-Diameter-304/dp/B076HJSCWS/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=stainless+steel+disc&qid=1563928133&s=industrial&sr=1-3

Or if you have a welding/fabrication shop nearby, see if it's something they could whip up for you.

If you have an Amazon Prime membership, many parts like this are dirt cheap and still have free shipping. I'd rather just order exactly what I need while I have a minute to browse the web and have it delivered to my door than spend an hour in a big box store where none of the employees know where anything is.

For example, I bought these parts for my eBIAB setup recently:
