Babywearing is great. It frees up your hands, and some babies will nap well in a carrier. I loved using bouncers something like this. You can put it in any room and let them watch you do things or play with the dangly toys. Some babies love swings too, but those are pricier and take up more space. You can also simply lay the baby down in a pack and play or on the floor. If you have a baby who spits up constantly, spread out some towels to protect the carpet/bedding/upholstery.

But in the end, you and your wife probably won't be able to get every single thing done that you want to around the house for a while, so just lower your expectations and sort out your priorities. The baby won't be so clingy forever, everyone will sleep better eventually, and you'll back into a routine that works for you.

we got the Fisher-Price Moonlight Meadow Deluxe Cradle and Swing. there's a few different styles/colours, but that one matched our nursery! it plugs in so you don't have to waste a bunch of batteries (I think it runs off of batteries as well, but we don't move it around), plays a few different songs, has a cute little mobile, and has a timer.

I put that on the registry, along with the matching bouncer and Rock n Play since I heard good things about all of them and couldn't decide which we wanted more. we were lucky enough to have been gifted all of them and I'm really glad we did! the RnP lives in our bedroom for a snuggly place to put him while I take a shower or something, the bouncer is our portable spot that goes from room to room downstairs so he can hang out while I'm in the kitchen or doing laundry, and the swing stays in the living room for afternoon naps and such.

this turned out pretty long haha, hope it was helpful though!

You have two other kids soooooo... I'm going with stuff that makes "out of the house" easier.

Aden and anais muslin swaddling blankets. They're bigger than the hospital size, and I used them for anything from their intended purpose to nursing cover up (just tucked it in the brastrap and over the opposite shoulder. They're super lightweight, just get better from washing, and I used them for toddler car-blankets in "too cold" A/C

Maclaren umbrella stroller. This joker is LIGHTWEIGHT. Once you figure out the one-handed opening, it's a breeze. Not great for super tiny babies, but excellent for 6 months+ and the weightlimits are pretty high. It was our "DisneyWorld Stroller" for years after the kids were "too old" for strollers. There's even a carrying strap!

Swing/ vibrating seat for putting kiddo down. I had the older model of this: https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-3-in-1-Swing-N-Rocker/dp/B00OFNLKZM/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1485389133&sr=8-1&keywords=fisher+price+3+in+1+swing

Total space saver.

The ducky thermometer thing for the bath? Crap. Pacifier medicine dispenser? Kids didn't fall for it. "kick proof socks" hahahahaha! no. I personally hated slings, but wraps are awesome.

I'd be careful with bottles... there's a lot of things out there that have a kagillion pieces and uh, no.

My little guy was going to bed around 8:30-9:30 before I started back at work. We pushed his bedtime to sometime between 7:15-8 (he's a fighter). He was still waking up like every 2 hours. Seriously... it sucked.

I know the AAP recommendation is to keep them in your room for 6-12 months for SIDS, but I moved him out like 2 weeks ago (around 5 months). He's sleeping in his crib, in the front office that we converted to his bedroom (other bedrooms are all upstairs), and he went from waking up constantly, to sleeping from 7:15/8pm til 4-5am. I feed him, and even if he's not 100% asleep (like this morning), I can plop him into his crib and he'll fall asleep within a few minutes and stay down til 7:30/8am.

Honestly, I think him being around us was waking him up. Or maybe he could smell food... Who knows. We also started an actual routine around this time of bath (because it soothes him), lotion, jammies (cotton onesie), bedtime story (I read slowly and quietly too), then I put him in the Baby Merlin (seriously, this thing is amazing), nurse him and put him down. Sometimes he's awake, sometimes he's asleep... But he has been reliably staying down.

Have you tried using a swing or something for naps? I'm not a SAHM (as much as I wish I were), but my son napping is imperative to me being able to get things done around the house, and the swing we got puts him to sleep like a charm! (unless he's overtired, then he'll complain a bit [but not full-on cry] before passing out)

Every baby is so different, and sometimes babies just don't sleep... but I hope you find something that works for you guys!!

MOBY.

Edit: How could I forget my Boppy? So necessary I had to send my sister out to buy one when I was visiting back home for a week and didn't have room to bring mine-- if she's breastfeeding. Actually, even if she's not, it's still useful to position for bottle feeding, and it works as a baby holder (with supervision) until they learn to roll and scoot.

I have been a huge fan of my Chicco carseat/stroller combo. She needs a new carseat, but the stroller should hold her at least another six months to a year. I was never a fan of carting my baby around in the carseat, but it's useful if you need to elevate the baby's head while sleeping if s/he's sick.

And a swing. Gotta have a swing. We had the Fisher Price lamb one, but I would probably have been happier in retrospect with one more like this-- lower to the ground once s/he works out how to get out, and easier to get in and out without the overhead stuff.

We bought Bright Starts Portable Swing after seeing it in store. The seat angle is adjustable and can sit upright close to 100 degree angle. The style wasn’t our favorite, but especially with the cost and portability, we decided to try it, and it’s been great.

Pregnancy: Liked Old Navy Maternity I loved wearing foldover waist things like capri pants, skirts, and pants. Though for work I was able to keep wearing my pre-pregnancy pants as my fat redistributed and they are elastic waist anyway. And the Old Navy Maternity tank tops are amazing, I still wear them after giving birth. I also wore Poise pads to catch my pee leaks, they worked great.

Did not like Ginger gum, that shit's gross.

Postpartum: Liked Kotex pads. The squirt bottle they gave me at the hospital. Colace.

Did not like Always pads (fucking cheese grater). Those witch hazel pads didn't do much for me, neither did the numbing cream.

Baby Like Pampers Baby Dry diapers, Fisher Price Rock and Play, Nosefrida snotsucker, Fisher Price plug in swing, Chicco Keyfit 30, Chicco NextFit, Harmony Odyssey stroller, Infantino pouch feeding products, Vtech baby monitor, Cuisinart food processor, lightweight car seat toys, Ubbi diaper pail, IKEA high chair (I probably have more, but these are some of the things I love on a daily basis or have saved my sanity).

Did not like Swaddle blankets (specifically swaddling), moby wrap, boppy pillow, Graco battery operated swing, huggies diapers, and MAM bottles.

Bonus Mom Supplies Pump wipes (my pump room at work has no sink and these are perfect to use after pumping), leisure bra (I cut holes where my nipples are and I can double pump hands-free, so helpful!), and JuJuBe diaper bag (it's small and cute and I know where everything is now!)

An Ingenuity Inlighten Cradle Swing , it has a very nice swinging motion because the motor is overhead. Our girl hasn’t fallen asleep in it yet if she’s put in awake, we still have to get her asleep by bouncing on the yoga ball first, then transfer her in there. She napped over an hour in it yesterday.

And for the bigger things, you can usually find ones that fold up or are collapsible. I know there are swings and bouncers that can be folded when not in use. For bathtubs, there are ones like the Puj, that fit in the sink and can fold up when not in use, there are ones shaped like flowers that do the same, there are inflatable ones (though I don't think those are recommended for newborns), and I have a Fisher Price one that has a hook on one end so I can just hang it in the shower when it's not being used.

I live in an apartment, and almost everything I've bought can be folded up or is otherwise easy to store. It's totally doable.
