It's a wrist roller, like this: Amazon Link.

u/jamesvreeland · 5 pointsr/Goruck

If you can get away with it, go for it. Just don't get upset when Cadre changes the rules and says ammo cans now need to be carried at chest height.

For other "dumb stuff for long duration" events, I carry runners, some webbing, a few locker/non-locker carabiners, and a few chunks of heavy wall bicycle inner tube. IMHO if you need to hit a minimum weight for an event, gear is always a better use of space than dead weight.

// edit //
Years ago, people would pack stuff like strongman hooks into their gear for things like Death Race to make bucket carries less miserable. They got banned from the packing list -real- fast.

u/rxpatient · 5 pointsr/xxfitness

That's a good tip! If you get some for your wrists you can add even more to your burn and get some nice arms; it'll work your core more as well!

u/hon_fan · 3 pointsr/southpaws

'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' is the perfect book for the effort.

Heavy wrist band.

u/Nutrilait · 3 pointsr/bodybuilding

I couldn't find the exact model he's using, but I found these on amazon. HERE

Personally I use these but I only use straps on high reps deadlifts. Hope this helped.

u/neverever44 · 3 pointsr/RealTesla

If you search for 'Tesla Autopilot' on Amazon these come up as a top result:

So yea, lots of idiots do this sadly.

I wear those wrist wraps for straps, and most people in my straps class wear wrist wraps or something similar. The straps dig into your wrists far less when wearing wraps.

Wraps affect certain tricks, like muscle ups & kip to support, so I’ll remove them then, but otherwise I’m wearing them.

u/nidrach · 2 pointsr/oculus

Attach those to your wrists and you won't even feel guilty about gaming anymore.

u/Eloeri18 · 2 pointsr/GripTraining

Hey, I'm really late to the game. But I hope you're doing well in working around your hand issues.

I myself have severe nerve damage in my right arm which affects the hand a lot. I've always worked out with weight training resistance bands, but ever since I combined a carpal tunnel wrist brace and this weight lifting hook my workouts have improved drastically.

I also have one of those NSD Spinners others have suggested, but yeah.

Good luck, man. We're here for you.

u/jonsnowofwinterfell · 2 pointsr/weightroom

I use metal ones from amazon that were $16 shipped. They are A+

https://www.amazon.com/Stitching-Non-Slip-Resistant-Power-Weightlifting/dp/B0145V6ISM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1543251388&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=Lifting+hooks&psc=1

600 lb rating and I moved 545 w them last night. I’ve been using them for months and for back day if I had to choose between headphones and the hooks I’d choose the hooks.

u/MrKMJ · 2 pointsr/ehlersdanlos

I sleep with Gold's Gym wrist supports wrapped loosely around my wrists. The biofeedback and additional support keeps me from doing exactly what you do when you sleep.

Gold's Gym Wrist Wraps

u/Then_He_Said · 2 pointsr/P90X

Mine were 2lbs each..

I never used them for any of the other hand intensive exercises though. They're relatively broad and impede your range of wrist flexion. Not enough that you can't wear them and do stuff, but the amount you need to flex your wrists to do pushups, for instance, makes then uncomfortable to wear during those.

The other exercises that are weight based (e.g. Bicep curls) I would just add a couple pounds rather than adding wrist weights.

I also usually also wear them when I'm doing housework or running.

Wooooo okay! Here's 1-20, and I will give the bonus ones a go in just a few minutes! fear cuts deeper than swords

1.) Something that is grey. How about a knife set?!

2.) Something reminiscent of rain. Cinema Paradiso! The cover of it is two people in the rain :) (Movies wishlist)

3.) Something food related that is unusual. This Manatea infuser is unusual! (Default wishlist)

4.) Something on your list that is for someone other than yourself. Tell me who it's for and why. (Yes, pets count!) I have a pet wishlist and a wishlist for my best friend! This traveling litter box is the perfect combination--it's so I can take my kitty on trips to my best friend's place! (Kitty wishlist)

5.) A book I should read! I am an avid reader, so take your best shot and tell me why I need to read it! Why have just one book when you could have 3000?! This little usb is loaded with over 3000 classic novels. Yes, almost all of these novels are free on Project Gutenberg, but having them all in one spot ready for you to peruse is amazing. You're almost guaranteed to find a book worth reading that you haven't read yet! (Books wishlist)

6.) An item that is less than a dollar, including shipping... that is not jewelry, nail polish, and or hair related! Well, not a physical item, but I have an mp3! (Music wishlist)

7.) Something related to cats. I love cats! (keep this SFW, you know who you are...) Kitty nail caps! I have a sphynx, so I have to clip her nails roughly every week (otherwise when she scratches herself, she cuts herself up D:). Nail caps are a cute and more hassle-free way of dealing with her claws! (Kitty wishlist)

8.) Something that is not useful, but so beautiful you must have it. This one is pretty tough for me, actually--I love purposeful items! However, I already have a cheese grater, so this hedgehog shaped one isn't actually something I NEED--it's just so cool!! (Default wishlist)

9.) A movie everyone should watch at least once in their life. Why? Life is Beautiful. It's a sweet, touching, and heartbreaking story of a Jewish father trying to keep the joy in life in a concentration camp. It's laugh-out-loud funny, and so sad you'll cry. Definitely worth watching. (Movies wishlist)

10.) Something that would be useful when the zombies attack. Explain. Packaged, high-cal foods will be really helpful! You have to keep your energy up while you're on the run, and you need a portable snack! These cookies are sure to give you the extra boost you need to escape the zombies. (Default wishlist)

11.) Something that would have a profound impact on your life and help you to achieve your current goals. Hmmm this is a toss-up for me. I need a laptop for life. I have a little chromebook, but when I need to update my resumes and write cover letters, I need to go to the library to use an actual computer to make sure the formatting is right. A laptop would help with the job hunt and (hopefully) help land me a job! (Expensive things wishlist) My other goal, to become healthier, would be helped by wrist weights to wear during my runs! No, it's not a huge amount of weight, but it will make my runs that much more difficult and help tone my arms! It's a small change with a big impact :) (Default wishlist)

12.) One of those pesky Add-On items. Oh gosh, take your pick. Cat snuggie (kitty wishlist), sriracha (who doesn't love hot sauce?! Under $6 wishlist), a pumice stone (Under $6 wishlist), or a kitty laser toy! (kitty wishlist)

13.) The most expensive thing on your list. Your dream item. Why? A $500 keyboard. I love playing piano, but I'm a young and flighty thing--I fully expect to be moving around a lot for the next 5-10 years, and I can neither afford an actual piano, nor can I imagine transporting one in and out of various apartments. This keyboard will give me the chance to practice and enjoy playing, but it's a much more compact and liveable way of doing so. (Expensive things wishlist)

14.) Something bigger than a bread box. A relatively cheap and yet still nice vacuum cleaner! Nice, easy to use, and practical :) (Expensive things)

15.) Something smaller than a golf ball. A storm trooper USB! Cute and practical! (Default wishlist)

16.) Something that smells wonderful. Lavender chamomile bubble bath! I don't know about you, but few things smell more relaxing to me than lavender and chamomile, so a combo bubble bath just sounds like bliss to me. (Default wishlist)

17.) A (SFW) toy. Here's a whole bag of toys! And less than $10 too! My kitty would have a field day with all those toys :) (Kitty wishlist!)

18.) Something that would be helpful for going back to school. A lunch box! I always brought my lunch to school, so every year I got a cool new lunch box for that year :) These ones are super cute, and insulated! (Default wishlist)

19.) Something related to your current obsession, whatever that may be. I've had a life-long Disney obsession! (Movies wishlist) My whole bathroom is Mickey themed (default wishlist), and I'm always looking for cool new Disney items to add to my wishlist! I seriously love Disney.

20.) Something that is just so amazing and awe-inspiring that I simply must see it. Explain why it is so grand. You too can own the Sword of Gryffindor! (Expensive things wishlist) Not only do you get to wield the weapon that destroyed three pieces of Voldemort's soul, it's also pretty practical! It's a letter opener that you can proudly display resting in the hands of a lion :) (Expensive things wishlist)

Get one of these

They're brutal when you do them correctly. Or even when you do them incorrectly.

Hey, thanks! I'm using these hooks and they've been a godsend. It's not 100% -- even with them, I can feel the bar start to slip out of my hand a bit if I'm not careful. But I'm at 195lb deadlift and 110 row and so far I can still do it -- no way I could have without them. Thanks so much!

u/06210311 · 1 pointr/Fitness

I have these, and they seem to work very well.

u/xxshilar · 1 pointr/oculus

Mhmm, it is a form of cardio/aerobics. Start off slow and work up to the harder customs. My faves? Memes, KDA Pop/Stars, Footloose, Rockefeller Street.

You can also add weights to your arms and legs, to add resistance. I'd recommend: https://www.amazon.com/SPRI-Arm-Weights-3-lbs/dp/B016DYY5TI/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=arm+weights&qid=1558215873&s=gateway&sr=8-4

u/agentOO0 · 1 pointr/Fitness

Maybe you could try a pair lifting hooks. I haven't used them personally, but something like this might help you: https://www.amazon.com/Lifting-Neoprene-Power-WeightLifting-Training/dp/B0145V6ISM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1496067517&sr=8-3

Other than that maybe you could do dumbbell pullovers (if you can hold the dumbbell with two hands), and of course you can train lower back with hyperextensions, banded good mornings, Zercher deadlifts, reverse hypers, etc. You might also be able to do some kind of Zercher shrugs - I'm not sure if that's a thing, but imagine a bentover row, but you hold the bar in the crook of your elbows and shrug it.

Those simple bear necessities

[i would love these for the gym] (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003PAZ5RK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2NNN8GZ8UGSYJ&coliid=I27WNLNWHK5EKL) my friend had a set and they were awesome to add more resistance:) I am on weight watchers and i go to the gym 4 days a week for a month now so this would help me achieve my goal<3

u/kvossera · 1 pointr/Stronglifts5x5

I like the hook grip, it helps me with my regular hands ..... I hope that doesn’t come off as rude. I don’t know if you’ll be able to do it with your hand disability but you certainly can with your other hand.

The straps would be a great tool to utilize. you might even try these hooks at least on the hand with the disability. I’ve not tried them personally so I can’t give a comprehensive review but they did come to mind.

u/yummy_toe_cheese · 1 pointr/Stronglifts5x5

You could use wrist wraps or hooks which would be easier getting on and off the bar

1 handed deadlifts...

You mentioned thumbless pull-ups so could you do your squats with a thumb over the bar grip instead? Or if you squat low bar switch to high bar since there is less involvement of grip? Also to deadlift maybe grips like these that have a metal hook to support the weight? Also SSB if you have access to one.

u/pandas_mom · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Kitten mittens ! I'd really like to get these weights but I just can't justify it to myself to buy them when there are so many things that are on my WL or regular world lists that my kids would enjoy, too. :)

u/FlyingWaffleED · 0 pointsr/oculus

You can't "induce the illusion of weight" unless you start wearing some [wrist weights] (https://www.amazon.com/Tone-y-Bands-Adjustable-Wearable-Weights-Exercise/dp/B01N1LFZUP/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1549033983&sr=8-8&keywords=weighted+bands)... or use a weighted VR ProTube.
